Hindu Charters is a family-owned, local business sailing out of both Key West, Florida and Provincetown, Massachusetts. Schooner Hindu, one of the oldest, most historic wooden schooners in the Florida Keys, has been sailing out of P-Town since 1946. Built in 1925, Hindu is undergoing a top to bottom historic restoration just in time for her 100 th anniversary. To help with this enormous undertaking, all sails on our luxury catamaran SV Argo Navis support this effort.

Here’s a sampling of extraordinary sites to explore with a Key West private boat charter from Fury.

Sand Key (24° 27.138’N, 81° 52.573’W)

If it’s the coral reef you’re craving, then head to Sand Key, seven miles south of Key West. This popular snorkel spot is home to a historic lighthouse and its shallow reef formations are ideal for novice and experienced snorkelers alike. Your boat captain will tie up to one of the white-and-blue mooring buoys and you’ll be ready to swim among the rainbows of colorful reef fish. This area is specially protected, so please take only photos and leave only bubbles!

Western Dry Rocks (24° 26.692N, 81° 55.581’W)

Southwest of Key West along the reef tract is Western Dry Rocks. Like Sand Key, it has large rows of shallow coral reef alternating with sand channels, making it a great snorkel spot for scoping colorful fish, the occasional angelfish or even a blue tang!

Boca Chica Sandbar (24° 33.295’N, 81° 42.935’W)

In search of sand-between-your-toes relaxation closer to Key West? Then the sandbar south of Boca Chica is just the place for you! Though civilization is within sight, you’ll feel worlds away surrounded by white sand and shallow clear water. You may even be lucky enough to spot a Bahama sea star or queen conch, but be sure to leave nature in its place since both are protected animals.

Yes! You can choose to charter a specific Fury tour if you wish or customize your own.

The most popular private charter is a 4 hour trip with snorkeling, kayaking and relaxing at the sand bar. Depending on when your trip is booked, it’s possible to even watch the sunset.

Yes! Fury operates 365 days a year.

We do not provide professional photography. Our crew may take boarding photos and can take photos throughout the trip for an additional fee.

No, we do not offer any wifi on our vessels.

All charters include beer, wine, champagne, sodas and water. We do have a catering options and bar upgrades available for an additional fee. We do not allow outside catering or drinks on our charters.

Yes. All guests are provided with Buoyancy Compensators for snorkeling. Life jackets are onboard for everyone in case of emergency.

No, we do not provide parking at any of our check in locations, but you can use street parking, pay to park lots or parking garages.

Fury tours will not depart in unsafe weather conditions. The Captain will assess the weather and should the Captain determine that the conditions are unsafe to run the tour, the tour may be postponed or it will be canceled. Every effort will be made to reschedule your tour during your stay. If you are unable to re-schedule your tour, you will have the option of receiving a voucher for a future trip. Every effort will be made to run tours, as advertised. Should Fury have to amend or alter your tour due to extraneous circumstances, tickets remain non-refundable on tours taken.

We have a 20% non refundable deposit. Within 30-15 days of your charter, we are able to refund 50% of the trip, and within 15 days of your charter we do not offer a refund. We do offer a full refund if we cancel the charter due to weather conditions.

Fury allows service animals only. A service animal is any dog that has been trained to perform tasks to benefit an individual. The work performed must be directly related to the individuals disability. According the ADA service animals for emotional support, therapy, comfort or companionship are not considered service animals.

The guest requiring the service animal must be in possession of the animal at all times. ​Due to the nature of Fury tours, guest and service animal may be required to remain on the boat for the entirety of the tour . This is to ensure the guest’s safety as well as that of the service animal, Key West wildlife, other guests, captain and crew.

About Your Crew

Captain Tom and his wife Denise have been sailing for over two decades.   Over the course of the last three years they have sailed over 4,000 nm along the east coast of US and the Caribbean Sea.  Tom holds a USCG OUPV Captain's License.  Prior to their most recent adventure, Tom was a Research Physicist and his wife a Public Relations Manager.  Bow and Harry our French Hounds server at the pleasure of our guest or vacation at a nearby pet resort during charters.

PROVISIONING SERVICE

Calypso sailing offers a provisioning service to help get your charter off to a great start. With a little prior organization you can arrive to a vessel that is fully provisioned to your own tastes. We can provide food shopping lists, food and cocktail menus to  ensure that all your necessary and favorite items are all onboard and ready for your charter.
