BAD COMPANY SUPPORT’s shallow draft also enables her to get into more remote bays and beaches that other yachts of her size range wouldn’t have access to. And thanks to her superior seakeeping capabilities as well as Quantum zero-speed stabilizers, she is as comfortable as she is rugged. Providing accommodations for up to 6 guests and 7 crew, BAD COMPANY SUPPORT offers vibrant and comfortable interior living spaces. Her main deck salon is light and colorful with large windows to help guests relax after a busy day on the water. The main deck is home to three guest cabins, a cabin to port and starboard, both with two twin beds, and a large cabin forward with a queen bed. The bridge deck aft is used for al fresco dining around a rectangular table surrounded by a lounge seat and chairs. Most expenses are deducted from an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA), a fund that is added on top of the charter price. The expenses, such as provisioning, fuel, marina fees, are deducted from the APA. The APA is based on the price of the yacht and ranges from 15% (crewed sailing yachts) to 30% (motor yachts with higher fuel consumption). You can actively control these expenses in your preference sheet (local vs. imported beverages) and by choice of itinerary (distances traveled). Damen’s 150-foot Shadow Yacht

When Baltic Yachts in Finland launched the 175-foot Pink Gin VI in 2017, she was the world’s largest carbon-fiber sloop as well as the second-largest yacht the builder had produced in its nearly half-century history.

The owner, apparently, wanted more.

This past September, Damen in the Netherlands delivered the 150-foot support yacht Pink Shadow to the same owner, who plans to use both vessels for regatta racing and more.

Damen is calling the combination a whole new approach to luxury cruising under sail.

“With a Yacht Support like Pink Shadow , owners can enjoy the true sailing experience and racing performance, while also enjoying top capability for guest services, equipment and storage,” managing director Rose Damen stated in a press release.

Damen Yachting

Damen Yachting is the master yacht builder behind more than 100 Amels superyachts, SeaXplorer expedition yachts, Yacht Support vessels and major yacht refits. We have a rich history in luxury yacht building. In 2018 we celebrated 100 years of Amels and we can trace the maritime DNA at our yards back for centuries. Amels became part of Damen in 1991 and Damen Yachting, a division within the Damen Shipyards Group, was created in 2019.

Yacht Support Range

Yacht Support vessels from our innovative range are purpose built to support superyacht operations – for example submarines, helicopters and large tenders and toys. Our innovative approach combines our proven shipbuilding knowhow with our experience in luxury yachting. Since 2009, we have delivered many Yacht Support vessels from 45 to 70 metres in length to our clients around the world.

The disruptive innovation

Superyacht support is a growing phenomenon that is revolutionising luxury yachting. At Damen Yachting, we are proud to be leading this innovative solution for contemporary lifestyles.

Around 2005, we began developing this concept based on our successful SEA AXE hull form, an innovation developed and patented within the Damen Shipyards Group for our high-tech offshore services clients. In Yachting, we saw a new opportunity for the SEA AXE to lift our superyacht clients’ experiences to a higher level.

We delivered the first purpose-built 50-metre Yacht Support vessel to her owner in 2010. Named OBERON, she was quickly followed by UMBRA. We then began work on the first Yacht Support in the 70-metre segment, GARÇON.

The SeaXplorer Range

Discover our SeaXplorer premiere expedition yachts up to 105-metres in length. Our range offers serious global exploring capability, combined with luxury refinement at home in any marina.

A New Generation of Explorers

Today, 5 years after the launch of the SeaXplorer range, our first SeaXplorers are sailing the world’s oceans. Now we are looking over the next horizon. Over the next few months we will be revealing updated designs for our SeaXplorer range. Watch this space!
