The elegant ELENA was lovingly and meticulously built in 2009 to the original designs of the racing schooner of the same name that participated in record-breaking style in the 1928 King’s Cup Trans-Atlantic Race from New York to Santander.  

Using the original 1910 drawings by designer Nathaniel G Herreshoff , Factoria Naval de Marin has resurrected this new 55m ultra-luxurious ELENA; featuring modern comforts such as an iPod docking station, Wi-Fi and televisions, whilst maintaining the classical ornate interiors reminiscent of a period country home.  

She has an expansive deck, perfect for relaxing or entertaining.   ELENA was fitted with a new boom, sail plan and bowsprit in 2012, based on the original 1911 sail plan.   She has an expansive deck, perfect for relaxing or entertaining.

Accommodating 8 guests, ELENA comes with a highly skilled Captain and crew who are passionate and infinitely knowledgeable about the yacht and her history. Exhilarating or relaxing; a rare experience in today’s modern world.

Interior Design & Engineering

The ELENA sailing yacht is an exact replica of the 1910 schooner. Built to the same Herreshof design, she was launched in 2009 and boasts the same race-winning DNA as her namesake.

Her exterior features an elegantly tapered steel hull, towering pine spars, spruce masts, and over 1,0000 square meters of Spectra sails.

Step inside the ELENA yacht and her Steve McLaren-designed interior will transport you back to the 1910s. Despite her classic styling, which features plenty of polished hardwood panelling and vintage-looking furnishings, she’s got all the modern comforts you’d expect from a luxury superyacht, including onboard WiFi.

Your ELENA yacht charter can accommodate eight guests in four cabins. The master suite comes with a desk and comfy seating area, while the rest of the accommodation comprises one double and two twins. The Captain’s cabin can also be used for an additional two guests if needed.

Yacht Facilities & Entertainment

Following in the footsteps of her predecessor, the ELENA yacht has already won regattas on both sides of the Atlantic. If you want to put her through her paces at a regatta, you can join the racing team and compete.

When you’re not racing, you might find yourself on her expansive open deck. A dining table can be set up to offer a space for alfresco dining at any time of day, and you’ll find plenty of sun pads if you want to stretch out and top up your tan.

Toys and Crew

A crew of eight will help you enjoy every moment of your ELENA yacht charter.

The toy collection on board will keep you entertained for hours. You could take one of the kayaks out for a morning paddle or get the blood pumping with a spot of kite surfing or waterskiing. If you want to head out fishing or enjoy a snorkelling excursion, you can grab your gear and set off on one of the two tenders available.

Launched in 2014, luxury motor yacht ELENA (Project Margarita, hull 16847) is an elegant classic contemporary 47-metre steel displacement vessel, built by the leading Dutch shipyard, Heesen Yachts. Superyacht ELENA boasts both naval architecture as well as sophisticated exterior design by Omega Architects. M/Y Elena was launched in 1992 and was one of the first yachts to enter the Greek charter market. She was built in Perama Shipyard in Greece. She has a steel hull which offers steady cruising and her entire interior is constructed from oak and mahogany wood.

M/Y Elena is a classic displacement yacht featuring ample deck space and a lavish interior. In 2008 her stern was extended and a new swim platform was added for easy access to the sea. In 2016 she was refitted with new upholstery in the saloon, VIP cabin and Master Cabin and had a second sun deck installed. MY Elena can accommodate 12-13 guests in 6 cabins. The award winning 46.7m/153'3" motor yacht 'Elena' was built by Heesen in the Netherlands at their Oss shipyard. Her interior is styled by Dutch designer design house Omega Architects and she was delivered to her owner in June 2014. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Omega Architects.

Guest Accommodation

Elena has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

Her features include deck jacuzzi and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Elena is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel MTU (8V 4000 M63) 1,340hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots with a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles from her 60,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Elena features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 20,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register ✠100A1 SSC YACHT classification society rules, and is MCA LY2 Compliant.
