The down U-shaped galley features a very open cohesive feel with only three steps down from the salon and totally open above; a perfect layout fully equipped with the best Miele appliances, refrigeration/freezer, washer/dryer, and plentiful storage throughout. Powered by low 587 hour Volvo D11 725 straight shaft and extended warranty. Side-Power bow and stern thrusters and Humphree fin stabilization with zero speed function for at anchor!!

The GB54 showcases our proprietary V-Warp technology featuring a semi-displacement hull design which creates a remarkably stable and efficient ride and allows for a very shallow draft. She has a lightweight yet incredibly strong construction; Vinylester-infused e-glass in the hull and carbon fiber in the deck and superstructure which increases strength and durability while reducing weight.

WISHINGSTAR is powered by low hour twin Volvo D11’s 725hp shaft drive which provide a fast and efficient 25 knot cruise and 29 knot top speed. At a cruising speed of 20 knots she only burns approximately 35 gal an hour combined! That is incredible fuel efficiency and performance for a yacht of this size. The GB54 is versatile in her ability to cruise at high speeds as well as long ranges at trawler speeds, approx. 1,500 nm @ 10 knots. The height to the hardtop is about 18’ so her clearance for bridges through the East Coast and Great Loop is fantastic for a variety of boating excursions and destinations in combination with her shallow draft of approx. 4’3”.

WISHING STAR Walkthrough

Step aboard this luxurious Grand Banks 54 onto her large teak decked swim platform and spacious aft deck. The aft deck features built-in transom seating with a large movable teak bi-fold indoor/outdoor dining table and space for extra chairs. The lazarette and engine room is accessed through a hatch in the center. The lazarette is a huge storage space for owner items and provisions.

Looking forward, entrance to the salon is through a single teak and glass panel door. Stairs to the flybridge are to starboard with a bank of fridge/freezer drawers below. To port is a wet bar with basin sink above and trash can and storage cabinets below. There is a large powered window which opens into the salon. 

Enter the salon and immediately you are immersed in a traditional yet modern interior filled with satin teak finishings and neutral-colored soft goods. There are L-settees to port and starboard for a maximization of seating in this open salon with a large movable bi-fold high gloss teak table and ottoman. Her lower helm is forward to starboard featuring a double bench helmseat with access from port and stbd, starboard side helm door for easy access to side decks, and two (2) Garmin Electronics displays with all navigational controls neatly arranged (please see section below for detailed description of equipment) and AC/DC breaker panel below. To port there is a built-in side table which lifts up to access storage. In between these two areas is the three steps down into the lower accommodations.

Egress down three steps to the lower deck and to port find the beautifully designed galley. The galley offers ample counter space, storage drawers and cabinets, convection oven, stovetop burner with vent overhead, large stainless steel sink w/faucet, refrigerator/freezer drawers and more! Behind the stairs features a hidden combo washer/dryer unit accessed by unlatching and pulling forward the staircase. 

The accommodations on this GB54 features a two stateroom, two head layout. Her master stateroom is midship and features a low, easily accessible walkaround queen berth with storage below with spacious en suite head and stall shower. The VIP guest stateroom is forward with a low, easily accessible centerline queen berth with en suite head and stall shower. Her galley is across from the master stateroom to port and is U-shaped. 

WISHINGSTAR features a very easy to transit staircase to effortlessly access the flybridge from her exterior aft cockpit. Her flybridge features a hardtop with LED lighting, large L-settee with teak table to port and a wet bar to starboard with fridge, storage and sink. Up forward, her upper helm has 2 STIDD helmseats, teak and stainless GB wheel, two (2) Garmin touchscreen displays with duplicated controls from below. Aft behind the settee is another bank of cabinets with a section of the countertop that lifts up to reveal a built-in electric grill. Just aft of this is the tender davit and AB center console tender with motor.

• Hull is vacuum-infused E-Glass with carbon fiber in structural areas, cored with Corcell® and Airex® foam, stitched multi-axial fabric, and vinylester and epoxy resins. The deck and superstructure are fully-infused carbon fiber.

The 25.6m/84' motor yacht 'Pintail' (ex. Andrea Aras) was built by Trumpy . Her interior is styled by design house Daniel J. Avoures and she was completed in 1963. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of John Trumpy and she was last refitted in 2023.

Guest Accommodation

Pintail has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Built with a mahogany hull and teak/aluminium superstructure, with teak decks, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin diesel Detroit Diesel (12V 71N) 450hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 13 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots with a range of up to 700 nautical miles from her 4,807 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Her low draft of 1.37m/4'6" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Her water tanks store around 2,043 Litres of fresh water.

WISHING STAR, Contract #407, is one of the two large 84’ hulls built by Trumpy and the only one in the cruiser configuration. The yacht was commissioned by Col. David Flagstaff and was originally named PINTAIL. Later names include: ARAS, ACHASTES and finally WISHING STAR in 1984 as named by Mr. Michael  Eagan (Alamo Rent-a-Car), she has held this name since. 1997 through 1999 saw an exhaustive $2.2 million complete rebuild returning WISHING STAR to literally new condition in all respects. Her present owner has owned the yacht for 15 years and has proven to be a first rate custodian, continuing to upgrade and improve her along the way. Those inspecting her will find her in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, with updated systems and ready to go.

WISHING STAR features a wonderful arrangement plan. Crew quarters are in the bow featuring two separate sleeping cabins, head w/ separate stall shower and U-shaped settee. Full beam Galley with laundry facility is next aft with access to the engine room and companion way to the dining saloon. An oval inlayed dining table is the centerpiece to the dining area and seats 6/8 comfortably with forward and side facing windows and generous storage aft. Wheelhouse is next aft followed by the salon which flows out to the aft deck through French doors. A companionway aft in the salon leads to two twin berth cabins forward with a shared head and a beautiful queen berth master aft with en-suite head. A generous cockpit aft allows for fishing or gathering for watersports.

WISHING STAR was originally built with cedar innerplanking and mahogany outer planking. She was completely replanked in 1998 and is now all double planked mahoany. She has 2 ¼” oak frames on 12” centers. Her floor timbers are 2 ½” oak. Her stem, keep and horn are all oak as well. She had four main longitudinals which act as engine beds and carry the weight of the engines.
