Small boats (under a certain horsepower or length), electric boats, crewed yacht charters and gulet charters may not require a license. Larger boats or those with more powerful engines need a skipper’s license. Before you confirm your sailing trip to Tenerife, please send us a copy and we will check it for you. You need to have the original copies on board, so don’t forget to take them. To sail in Spain, one of the following qualifications is necessary : • ICC (International Certificate of Competence), International, with valid Navigational and VHF licenses Prerequisites: RYA “Day Skipper Course” or complete the ICC Assessment form to prove competence from previous experience. Drive the boat yourself

If you have sailing experience, you can be the captain yourself. Hire a bareboat and take it wherever you want, after all, you will be the captain. Become a real sailor and take your friends and family out to sea and anchor in the beautiful coves of Tenerife, all without the presence of strangers on board. A valid boat licence is required to drive the larger boats.

Driving a boat without a boat licence

We also have small boats with a length of 6 metres and a capacity of 6 passengers, for which a boat licence is not required. Fuel is paid according to consumption during the trip.

The price you see, is the price you pay

Almost all the boats you can rent in Tenerife include fuel (diesel), drinks and an experienced skipper. You will know exactly the cost and the price you will pay before you confirm the booking. Most of the food is also included which is usually paella or sandwiches. If you would like a birthday cake or a special meal, you can also order this for an additional cost. Drinks are also included on most yachts.

Most of the private boat trips depart from Puerto Colon or Los Cristianos harbour. Some of the boats we offer here pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. But not all boats include the transfer service, so you must come on your own to the harbour in the south of Tenerife.

If the resort or hotel where you are staying is not listed in the boat rental description, please send us a WhatsApp now to let us know if we can provide you with transport from your address, or inform you how to get to the dock as conveniently as possible. We can also inform you about the costs of using the taxi service from your accommodation. In most hotels in Tenerife it will be sufficient to ask for a taxi at the reception desk. Please note that a 5-seater taxi will cost the same as an 8-seater minibus taxi. Contact us for more information.

Our yachts depart from Puerto Colon in Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, Los Gigantes, La Marina del Golf del Sur, Las Galletas dock and nearby Puerto Santiago . We also offer the option of hiring a private bus for transport if required (extra cost).  It will also be very easy to get to the Puerto Colon pier if your accommodation is in Playa de las Americas, Playa Fañabe or El Duque.

Amazing trip! The boat was brand new and comfortable. The communication was great. The weather did not cooperate on our day planned and once we got out there we were freezing, the captain took us back in and arranged to do our trip another day at no charge!!!! We chose our itinerary and the captain was more than happy to accommodate. Would definitely book through them again!!

We were recently on holiday in Los Gigantes, and decided to get out on the water one afternoon... and the experience was brilliant. Communication was seemless via the GetMyBoat app and we met at the marina at our proposed time. We opted to go without a Captain, and it couldn't have been easier. Our guide gave us a quick demonstration how to operate the boat (very easy)... and off we went. Our captain was nice enough to go out and check conditions for us earlier in the day and gave great advice where to go for smoother waters and great swimming. We had a wonderful afternoon swimming along the coast in the shadow of the Los Gigantes clifss. It was a great afternoon made even better by the help provided by our Host. 5*****

We were 12 pers celebrating a 50th birthday. Elio and his wife were wonderful even brought a birthday cake. The tour was great we all had a lovely time. The youngest in the grouo 5 years old the oldest 70. Food and drinks was very good and everyone very happy with the tour. Thank you so much!

Kailani Charter Information

• Before your adventure begins, ensure you have your Club Canary ticket ready, either on your phone or printed out. Onboard the Kailani yacht, guests can relax in sunbathing spots or shaded sitting areas. Please remove your shoes upon boarding; they will be safely stored until we return to the port.
• To maintain comfort during the trip, avoid boarding on an empty stomach or after consuming heavy meals, dairy products, or alcohol. It is advisable to take a travel sickness tablet 30 minutes before we set sail. Smoking is permitted only at the rear of the yacht.
• Don’t forget to bring sun cream, sunglasses, a camera, and swimwear to make the most of your experience. We accommodate a maximum of 11 guests per trip, so booking your Kailani yacht rental in advance is crucial to secure your preferred date.

Meeting Point for Kailani Charters Puerto Colon Tenerife

The meeting point is at Costa Adeje, Puerto Colón, Gate 5, located at the harbor’s forefront behind the parking lot. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled departure time. A Kailani guide will meet you at the gate and escort you to the boat. Spacious parking is available at Puerto Colón with an hourly rate of approximately 1.20€. Use Google Maps to locate the departure point and the office of Club Canary , making your experience with us as smooth as possible when you rent the Kailani boat.

Kailani Charters Tenerife Policy

• Weather Policy: Our experiences depend on good weather. If your scheduled Kailani private charter is canceled due to hazardous conditions, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
• Cancellation and Rescheduling: You may cancel or reschedule your Rent Kailani boat trip for free up to 3 days in advance by emailing us at [email protected] . If you fail to cancel on time or do not show up, the deposit will be forfeited.
• During the Trip: If you experience dissatisfaction during your trip, please address your concerns directly with the captain or manager onboard. Club Canary staff are not present on the boat and therefore cannot assess the situation firsthand.
