The on-board comfort of the accommodation is comparable with a small modern sports cruiser, the sea-going ability and performance leaves conventional boats in its wake. The Ribeye GT 1050 delivers a notably superior ride, greater comfort, improved sea keeping and better fuel efficiency than a similarly sized, conventional motorboat; the hull’s buoyancy being provided by the tubes which ride clear of the water until needed in turns or heavy weather.

OWNERS COMMENTS: £2000 has been spent last spring 2018 on servicing the engine and fuel system. A new engine inlet water strainer has been fitted with a new sea-cock, also the stern gland has been repacked.  Antifouled each year and now making ready for launch in April 2019.

This is a rare opportunity to own a very much admired 1926 classic wooden yacht Recently refurbished professionally and in fine condition, this is your chance to enjoy all the advantages of sailing a beautiful example of a traditionally constructed, one-off auxiliary bermudian sloop in very good order. She is a treasured classic that has been with the current owner since 1977. She was cruised last season and will be back ready for launching for 2019 season. Finished to a high standard, she is continued to be well maintained and major restoration works have recently been professionally completed. Recent expenditure has exceeded £37,000. At last survey (2016) a valuation of £36,000 was awarded. Any work to bring her to top condition was addressed and improvements carried out AFTER THE SURVEY. Finishing off with all the necessary re-painting & re-varnishing works. I wish to ensure this fine vessel cruises for many more years and therefore have instigated the refurbishment works prior to sale.

OWNERS COMMENT: It is my time to retire from sailing. This cherished and admired classic yacht is awaiting a new owner. On a cruise during July 2018, across from Belfast Bay to Lancashire in 20-30 knots South Westerly, reefed, she averaged 7.5 knots with the odd surf of exceeding 9 knots! Once again showing her forgiving and kindly sea manners, a joy to sail. A relatively full hull form and broad transom, she gives the impression of a much larger yacht, she would, therefore, make a most attractive family cruising yacht. Survey report available. Photos were taken in August 2018.

About this Sunbeam 32

A substantial and well built cruiser, the Sunbeam 32 offers spacious interior accommodation that belies her modest length and is similar in style to the LM Mermaid. 'Mira' had a reconditioned engine professionally installed in late 2023 which has only been used briefly since installation. Her aft cockpit benefits from a fixed windscreen, wheel steering and self-tailing winches. While 'Mira' has been little used in recent years and is need of some modernisation, she is in good condition below and will make a solid cruising boat for her next owner.

Wheel steering to spade hung rudder. Aft self-draining cockpit. All seacocks and skin fittings renewed 2014. The hull was shot blasted and epoxied 2022.

The teak deck areas have deteriorated to the extent they now need replacement but this does not affect the safety or strength of the vessel. In fact the decks have been like this since a survey carried out in 2014. A quote for supplying and fitting new Sea-Deck was obtained in 2023 which totals £7,000 inc. VAT, if the current teak is already removed.
