Lagoon 62ft - 2014

Yacht description.

Sail Away is a 2014 Lagoon 62 catamaran. It is spacious and modern and offers five queen size cabins, all with ensuite facilities. All the linens are of the highest quality and colours are very tranquil and relaxing. The salon and galley have loads of natural light from the wraparound windows plus there is really good headroom, which adds to the light and airy feel. The comfortable leather sofa can also be used as a formal dining option.

Outside there are three spots with plenty of space so everyone can have their own privacy should they want it. The cockpit offers a shaded dining option as well as comfy seating and a lounging pad. “Upstairs”, the flybridge offers a further space to relax and then forward there are trampolines for the sun worshippers. Three crew members that include a dedicated, award-winning chef, ensure your every need is met, even with 10 guests aboard.

Our personal opinion

Why book Sail Away – ENJOYING THE WATER – Sail Away has an excellent selection of water toys and a 15ft dinghy with a 60hp motor so it is perfect for skiing or wakeboarding. Add to this, the hydraulic lift for the dinghy at the back of the boat doubles as a perfect sunbathing platform, or a place to dabble your feet in the water with a cocktail in your hand.

Rendezvous diving

If your crewed charter yacht does not offer onboard diving then fear not, rendezvous diving can be arranged.

So what is Rendezvous diving?

A local dive company will pick you up direct from your charter yacht at a pre-determined location and take you for a one- or two-tank dive to experience the BVI below the water. This is an excellent option if only a couple of guests wish to dive or can work equally as well if all your group are interested. If your charter yacht offers minimal onboard diving, then rendezvous diving can also work if you wanted to add a few more dives during your charter.

Rendezvous diving is at additional cost, payable locally. The dive company provides all gear.

Catamaran Sail Away, Featuring Chef Leanne’s Charter Recipes

Catamaran Sail Away offers not only thrilling adventures but also a delightful foodie experience. Enjoy gourmet meals prepared by a private chef right on board.

One of the most popular dishes is Chicken Saltimbocca , and we’re excited to share Leanne’s recipe with you! Moreover, this dish pairs perfectly with Caribbean Lobster .

• 8 (6 ounce) chicken cutlets
• ½ teaspoon black pepper
• 8 large fresh sage leaves
• 8 thin slices prosciutto
• 3 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 cup Masala wine
• 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
• ½ stick butter
• If cutlets are thick, lay them between 2 sheets of wax paper and pound to 1/2-inch thickness using the flat side of a meat mallet or the bottom of a small, heavy skillet. Wrap a slice of prosciutto crosswise around each cutlet, and place a large sage leaf on top of each cutlet, holding them both in place with a toothpick. Lightly dust the whole cutlets with flour. Do not add any salt as the prosciutto will add saltiness.
• Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 4 cutlets and cook until golden brown, a few minutes on the prosciutto/sage side and about a minute on the other side.
• Add pepper to taste. Transfer to a platter; tent with foil to keep warm. Repeat with remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil and remaining 4 cutlets.
• Don’t overcook cutlets to prevent drying. Carefully remove toothpick.
• Pour Masala wine into the same skillet; simmer, scraping up any browned bits with a wooden spoon, about 1 minute. Pour in broth and simmer until slightly reduced, 4 to 5 minutes.
• Remove from heat; add butter and swirl the skillet until butter has melted and sauce is creamy. Add pepper and salt to taste. Spoon 2 tablespoons sauce over each cutlet to serve.

Sail the enchanted waters of the lagoon that surrounds Raiatea in a comfortable catamaran and then anchor off a coral reef, where you will have the opportunity to swim and snorkel.

After departing from the pier, you will soon begin cruising the protected turquoise lagoon that encircles Raiatea, an island whose name translates to faraway heaven. Settle in wherever you please, as the catamaran features trampolines for sunbathing and lounging. There is also a well-shaded area, if you prefer a covered environment.

Because the catamaran has a shallow draft, it can cruise into areas off limits to other vessels, presenting you with a spectacular, up-close view of the lagoon. Feel the sea breeze as your eyes discover the lush and unique scenery of Raiatea & its sister island Taha'a.

In time, you will stop to swim and snorkel along a coral reef teeming with brightly colored tropical fish. You might even see sea turtles gracefully swimming by, completely undisturbed by your presence. After approximately one hour, you will cruise back to the pier.
