Yes. We use a system called Cognito to ensure that payment information matches the renter's identity. We also require renters taking out a captained boat to be at least 18 years old and on a bareboat to be at least 25 years old.

Is listing my boat on Boatsetter free?

Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!

What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.

This was the most epic trip. We took our friends and family to Catalina for an amazing day.  Captain Mark was absolutely phenomenal.  He was super fun and accommodating.  He took us around wherever we wanted to go and care of everything. He set up all the toys and made sure we had everything we wanted at all times.  The boat is gorgeous and was spotless.  This was one of the most memorable days ever.  Thank you!!!

Captain Mark and Aperitivo = Only the Best! We had a super fun full life aquatic day for the Huntington Beach Airshow with fam and friends. Yachting with Captain Mark felt more like yachting with family. Mark has a boating CV that is lifelong, outstanding professional experience with a penchant for safety. That said; it was max fun knowing we were in great hands and enjoyed the day with blue skies, blue water and a high caliber Airshow out in the ocean.  I even brought my father whom recently turned 79. He became as youthful as a teenager on full smiles out on the water with Mark showing him the ropes of yacht Aperitivo. All my friends are already calling me to make plans and get their families out on the water. Highly recommended, do not hesitate, get out and yacht; nothing but outstanding family/friends memories that will not be forgotten; thank you Mark, thank you Aperitivo 100%.

We chartered the Aperitivo for my daughter’s 15th birthday. Mark the Captain made us all feel comfortable and safe. His experience and knowledge of the ocean were very apparent. Everyone had a great time swimming, hanging out on the swim float, and paddleboarding. I had no idea how fast 4 hours could go by. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.

Terms of refunds are dictated by the Charter Agreement. Generally, once a payment is collected, it is non-refundable. In certain circumstances, as dictated by the Charter Agreement, credits can be provided so you will be able to enjoy your yacht charter at a future date that is convenient for you.

Can't say enough good things about OC Yacht rentals. Purchased a private 4 hour charter for my parents for Christmas and from the ease of booking to communication to the beautiful boat & the trip itself, it was a great experience all around. By far the best part though was Captain Tanner. He was so friendly and knowledgeable and made the whole day so much fun! We saw tons of dolphins & he took us to some great fishing spots. Cannot recommend him and OC Yacht Rentals enough & will definitely be going out again!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! Had my daughters 17th Bday on The Villa yesterday and had an absolute blast!!! Had 10 of her closest gals onboard for a bbq steak lunch with some good tunes and lots of laughs!! Captain John was awesome and made us feel right at home! He even made a special trip out to the big buoy with all the seals piled on top where we could get up close and personal with them! Mo's response time was excellent when planning this event, as it was kind of a last minute idea Will definitely be repeat yachty's with this crew!!

OC yacht rentals was absolutely amazing. Not only were they understanding of our rescheduling drama during covid but they made every effort to accommodate us and reschedule without any hesitation. The boat was beautiful, clean and we felt very safe. Our captain TANNER was so great and parked at two different stops for us to swim and play our music on full blast. We stopped in Catalina for lunch and Tanner was there to pick us up at 4 PM on the dot. The overall experience was so amazing and we all decided we need to do this often -- and we will be going through NO ONE else but OC yacht rentals.

Took my wife and a few friends out on the water with OC Yacht Rentals last month and could not say better things. Their office answers the phone and helps with everything. The captain was on time.
