P-18 Forestay shackle recommendation needed
Hello, I need to purchase a shackle to connect the turnbuckle to the forestay chainplate on my 1985 Precision 18. Any recommendations are appreciated. The mounting point hole on the chainplate isn't that large and it needs to be simple to lock in during mast raising. Thank you!

I need some feedback on the Precision 18
1,582. Merit 22- Oregon lakes. Jun 11, 2017. #1. I'm afraid I may have to sell my beloved Victoria 18 soon, as my wife just doesn't feel comfortable in it. the Vic is only 5.5' wide, so it is initially tender. With the 550b keel it firms up solid as a rock beyond 15* or so, but she just doesn't feel secure in it regardless.

I just bought P-18 hull #33. It's in pretty good shape but I usually solo and want to bring the halyards back to the cockpit for convenience and safety. If you modified an older Precision 18 to do this, please post a description of the modification. Pictures would help a lot. Thanks !
