Built in 1995, Indigo Star I offers guest accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising a master suite, three double cabins and one twin cabin. The bed configuration includes 1 king, 2 doubles and 2 singles. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, she benefits from a semi-displacement hull to provide exceptional seakeeping and impressive speeds. Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 17 knots with a range of up to 3,224 nautical miles from her 40,000 litre fuel tanks at 10 knots.

When not cruising Indigo Star I has onboard an incredible selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to connect with the waters around you. Principle among these are waterslides letting guests speed from the sun deck to the water in seconds. Take to the sea on the Jet Skis offering you power and control on the water. Additionally, there are SEABOBs, that allow you to skim along the surface or steer under the crystal water and experience life swimming with the fish.

Ivan Bilaver

As a graduate from the Marine High School and Maritime University in Zadar, Croatia, Ivan started his ocean-based career in 2009 as 3rd officer on board 68m passenger ship M/V Melita. He spent the following two summer seasons as chief officer on board busy 46m charter yacht M/Y Princess Iolanthe. This was followed by an appointment as chief officer on board the privately owned 35m M/Y Stella and as chief officer and relief captain for 28m M/Y Bravo II and 50m M/Y Ventura; all with the same owner. Afterwards, Ivan was captain on board the commercial 38m M/V Shearwater, before then joining the owner of INDIGO STAR I and his family for their 2.5-year trip around the world. In his spare time, Ivan likes sport fishing, diving and powerboat driving.

Introduction

The 38m Indigo Star I is a tri-deck motor yacht boasting a stylish and carefully considered interior design. Built by Siar & Moschini in 1995, the yacht is in fantastic condition following an extensive 2018 refit.

Why we love this yacht

• 03 — 03 The master suite is on the main deck. It features an enormous sofa and there’s an owner’s study, too.

Charter — INDIGO STAR I

The interior of Indigo Star I optimises the use of space to provide multiple seating and lounge areas. In the main saloon there are two deep-cushioned L-shaped sofas, a coffee table with armchairs to the port side and a glass-topped dining table. The main saloon is also equipped with a large flat-screen TV, surround sound and an extensive movie library.

Indigo Star I has a second, less formal, lounge on her bridge deck and this enjoys direct access to an aft dining area via full height glass doors.

There is accommodation for 10 guests in five suites, with the cabin configuration comprising a master stateroom, VIP, two guest doubles and one twin. The master suite is located on the main deck and benefits from an owner’s study as well as a spacious en suite with a spa bath. All of the accommodation is en suite, with the VIP also able to boast a bathtub, and each cabin is fitted with Satellite TV.

The interior cabinetry, in deep mahogany, has a high gloss finish and upholstery in neutral tones with dark charcoal accents gives the yacht a striking style.

Indigo Star I’s deck spaces are geared towards socialising. There is a large exterior lounge and dining table for 10 on the upper deck, which can be shaded by a retractable awning, and an expanse of cushioned sun pads on the sun deck.

Indigo Star I has a Zodiac RIB tender and a wide selection of water toys, including three SeaBobs, a jet ski, fly board, Aqualung diving sets, water skis for both adults and children and even a seven-metre-high, 12-metre-long, inflatable water slide. A large swim platform to aft and a boarding ladder ensure easy access to and from the water.

An additional Sillinger 9m chase boat can be chartered on request.

Indigo Star I is an extremely capable and seaworthy vessel, with a top speed of 17.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. Stabilisers ensure maximum comfort when underway and at anchor.

INDIGO STAR I is a 38.0 m Motor Yacht, built in Italy by Siar-Moschini and delivered in 1995. She is the only Sm 38 My model.

Her top speed is 24.0 kn, her cruising speed is 18.0 kn, and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 4200.0 nm at 10.0 kn, with power coming from two MTU diesel engines. She can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 staterooms, with 7 crew members waiting on their every need. She has a gross tonnage of 310.0 GT and a 7.7 m beam.

She was designed by Andrea Bacigalupo , who also completed the naval architecture. Andrea Bacigalupo has designed 139 yachts and created the naval architecture for 197 yachts for yachts above 24 metres.

Her interior was designed by Studio Vafiadis , who has 26 other superyacht interiors designed in the BOAT Pro database - she is built with a Teak deck, a GRP hull, and GRP superstructure.

The street is also famous among sports fans for the Petrovsky Stadium, the main home ground of Zenit FC, and the Yubileyny Palace of Sport, which hosts ice hockey and volleyball matches. In the beginning, the region where Bolshoy Prospekt now runs was home to several regiments of the St. Petersburg garrison. It was soldiers who originally laid out the three parallel roads, the largest of which was initially called Bolshaya Garnizonnaya Doroga ("Big Garrison Road"), then Bolshaya Ofitserskaya Ulitsa ("Big Officers' Street"), and finally just Bolshoy Prospekt ("Big Avenue"). Until the middle of the 19th century, the street was lined with mainly wooden buildings, as there was a ban on individuals building stone buildings on the Petrograd Side in connection with the defensive capabilities of the Peter and Paul Fortress. However, once the ban was lifted towards the end of the 19th century, Bolshoy Prospekt was transformed into a respectable trading thoroughfare with large apartment buildings and stores. The architecture of the street covers all the fashionable design trends of that period, including style moderne, revivalism, and Russian neo-classicism. The oldest buildings on the avenue can probably be considered the Tuchkov Buyan warehouses, which are now home to the Cadets College of the A. F. Mozhaisky Military University of Cosmic Engineering. Other interesting buildings at the beginning of the avenue include the style moderne Chubakov Apartment Building and the Kolobov Apartment Building, which now houses the Eastern European Institute of Psychoanalysis and the Sigmund Freud Dream Museum . Among the avenues richly varied architecture, buildings of particular note include the "Building with owls", a style moderne apartment building that recalls a medieval castle with its brutal granite facades, and the two Rozenshtein Apartment Buildings, located next to each other on the newest and probably the most interesting section of the avenue, from Ploshchad Lva Tolstogo to the Karpovka River. The first building, facing the square at an angle, is the more famous, with its thick hexagonal towers and elaborate Romanesque decorations, while the second is in more subdued but extremely elegant Palladian style. Also of note are the Gontskevich Apartment Building and the Baranovskaya Apartment Building, with its distinctive circular towers. Many of the buildings on the avenue have mansard roofs - in fact, it's fair to say that the trend for mansard levels in St. Petersburg, prompted by increasing land prices and local regulations forbidding buildings higher than the Winter Palace, really began here. As the resulting garrets provided cheaper accommodation, they became popular with artists and intellectuals. On Bolshoy Prospekt these included the linguist and sinologist Vasiliy Alekseev, the poets Georgiy Ivanov and Nikolay Tikhonov, and the artist Ivan Puni, whose apartment became a type of literary salon, visited in the 1910s by the great avant garde poets Velimir Khlebnikov, Vladimir Mayakovsky, and Igor Severyanin, amongst others. The Soviet era left almost no mark on the architecture of Bolshoy Prospekt and today, like Kamennoostrovsky Prospekt , the avenue is almost like a museum of late 19th/early 20th century architecture.
