Freedom Crew Profiles Captain: Brendan Emmons Born in Northern New Jersey in a small town called Allendale, raised going down the Jersey shore every weekend to enjoy boating. After graduating high school early, he started his own business at the young age of sixteen. After doing this and working for his family business for many years, he decided the ocean was his calling after several trips to Fort Lauderdale. He started out as a delivery mate at the age of eighteen on a trip from Florida to Boston, MA and quickly moved up to the captain position before the trip had even ended. Captaining for 10 years now, he has gained a lot of wisdom and insight into the yachting world. He has run boats in five countries, along with experience from Maine to Key West. Brendan and his wife have been a team since 2017, where they have learned and grown together. Brendan holds his Master 200/500-ton license and looks forward to creating a safe and memorable experience for his charter guests aboard motor yacht Freedom! Chief Stewardess: Julie Emmons Born and raised in the small town of Ramsey, New Jersey, Julie grew up enjoying time at the beach and doing water sports. She graduated from SUNY Cortland where she completed her bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education. After teaching and coaching gymnastics for several years, she met Brendan and decided it was time to join him in the yachting industry. She has completed her STCW training, as well as bartending courses. Julie enjoys reading, hiking, swimming, and water sports in her free time. She is excited to give guests aboard Freedom the experience of a lifetime, by creating a warm and welcoming environment. With Julie’s friendly personality and amazing organizational skills, Freedom’s guests are sure to be enjoying their experience! Mate: Molly Gates Molly was born and raised in Chicago but has a love for travel and meeting people from all over. Growing up on Lake Michigan, she spent her summers swimming, tubing, waterskiing, and more. She joined the sailing team in high school, and seven years later, she hasn’t gotten off boats since. In between studying at the University of Dayton, Molly spent her summers in Chicago running a boat washing business throughout all the Chicago Harbors, crewing for various private and charter boats, and even ran a charter company in Summer of 2021. Now, she has completed her STCW course and is ready to use her knowledge of boating and her love of travel into the yachting industry. Molly’s favorite thing about her career is connecting with guests, so she can’t wait to help make an unforgettable experience for every guest that comes on board Freedom!

The cockpit is extremely spacious with teak throughout. The swim platform is hydraulic. There are multiple storage areas on the port and starboard sides.

The crew quarters are accessed through the bench seat as well as a transom door from the swim platform. Engine access is through a large hatch in the cockpit sole.

The battery switches are located on the starboard side as you enter the large sliding glass doors into the salon. A molded, teak staircase leads up to the bridge on the port side of the cockpit.

The flybridge is very large and seating for 10+ with a large layout area aft. There is an outdoor galley unit to port with a sink, fridge, and ice maker. There are JL speakers and subwoofers throughout the flybridge with LED lighting in the hard top. 

6 skylights also lend to a large amount of sunlight during the day. The upper helm is equipped with full Raymarine electronics, Xenta joystick, VHF, autopilot, searchlight and windlass controls. 

The salon is yet another large gathering area, the boats and L-shaped sofa to port and loveseat to starboard. There is a 46 inch flatscreen, equipped with Amazon FireTV Streaming, Blue-ray disk player and Intelllian i6 Satellite TV. The Bose Lifestyle Surround Sound system offers an elevated experience of music and TV entertainment.

The galley is U-shaped with ample storage and granite counters. The hardwood floor continues from the salon throughout the galley. She is equipped with a separate Isotherm fridge / Vitrifrigo freezer. Miele oven and 3 burner Miele cooktop and microwave below. Large double basin, stainless steel Franke sink with chrome faucet.

LOWER HELM STATION

The brown leather Treben helm set is the first thing you will notice at the lower helm station. The moves up and down and forward and back electronically. She is equipped with twin Raymarine 15-inch hybrid touchscreen plotters. Raymarine Sounder ST 60 Tridata. Separate Raymarine autopilot control. Xenta joystick.

MASTER STATEROOM

As you make your way down the stairway, to port, you have a combo washer and dryer unit. The master is full-beam, boasting huge panoramic windows on the port and starboard sides, just above the waterline.  The bed is easily accessed from both sides.  The ultimate in well-being. An uninterrupted view of the sea, an exclusive lounge, meticulous details that make all the difference… By day, the Boatowner’s cabin is a private haven with large, livable spaces, by night, tranquility, and relaxation reign supreme. On the starboard side is a large lounge/seating area, complemented with leather and wood table equipped with vanity and storage.  There are three storage lockers, and more storage spaces are also located in the master bath. There is a wall-mounted Roku-streaming flatscreen TV with Blu-ray disk player, connected to the Intellian satellite system in the salon.  

VIP AND GUEST STATEROOMS

Six ports and an overhead hatch flood the VIP stateroom with natural light, charging the interior with an airy vibe, fitting well with the wellness-inspired decor.  Direct access to day head through VIP door for added privacy. Multiple hanging lockers and under-bed storage.  The guest stateroom is equipped with two twin berths and a large port offering natural light. Ample storage including a large hanging locker. Day head with stall shower and additional storage space.

The 70.1m/230' motor yacht 'Freedom' (ex. Reverie) by the Italian shipyard Benetti offers flexible accommodation for up to 12 guests in 8 cabins and features interior styling by John Munford.

Built in 2000, Freedom is designed for exquisite indoor/outdoor living and boasts voluminous interior and exterior spaces across several decks: ideal for bronzing, lounging or entertaining. Her features include a helipad, elevator and gym.

Guest Accommodation

Freedom is great for families thanks to her child-friendly setup. She offers guest accommodation for up to 12 guests with a layout comprising a master suite located on the main deck, one VIP cabin, four double cabins and one twin cabin. There are 11 beds in total, including 2 king, 4 queen, 1 double, 2 singles and 2 pullmans. Additionally, there are 2 staff cabins aboard. Excellent service is guaranteed, with twenty-seven crew members on board to look after your every need.

Access to the most exotic destinations is easy thanks to the helipad and take advantage of the on board Wi-Fi and stay connected at all times. Guests will experience complete comfort while chartering thanks to air conditioning.

Performance & Range

Freedom is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 16 knots with a range of up to 6,000 nautical miles from her 177,502 litre fuel tanks at cruising speed.

Freedom has aboard a plentiful range of water toys and accessories ready to entertain you and your guests whilst on charter. Principle among these are Laser Pico sailboats to bring out the explorer in you. You'll be loving the huge adrenaline rush as you zip over the water on a Yamaha WaveRunner. Another excellent feature are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. If that isn't enough Freedom also features a Kite Surfer, scuba diving equipment, wakeboards, canoes, kayaks and much more. When it comes to Tenders, Freedom has you covered - with two tenders, including a 10.5m/34'5" Wooden Tender.

Freedom and her crew are available for charter this summer for cruising within the Mediterranean. She is also accepting bookings this winter on request.

The FREEDOM yacht is a 229ft / 69.8m luxury yacht built and launched by yacht builder Benetti . Delivered to a proud yacht owner in 2000 and refit in 2015, this luxury yacht sleeps up to 12 guests in 8/10 staterooms and has accommodations for 25 crew. She has a beam of 41ft / 12.5m, a draft of 12ft / 3.7m, and she measures in at 1,975 gross tons. Her hull is steel and her decks are teak. Her max speed is 22.6 knots and cruising speed is 14 knots. She is propelled by Caterpillar engines at 2,000 hp each.

Luxury Motor yacht FREEDOM was built by Broward Marine in 1994 and refitted in 2010. Measuring 120ft, (36m) with a 23.6 beam, she is a spacious yacht able to sleep up to 9 guests in 4 well appointed cabins. She has been extensively redesigned and refitted from bow to stern. Freedom’s main salon is the perfect place to gather with family and friends. Soft leather reclining chairs and a large sectional sofa are great spots to enjoy conversations or the large HD LED TV with stereo surround sound which rises from the cabinetry. For family fun or kids entertainment she has an Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation and the Nintendo Wii.

You can choose the best place to dine, depending on your mood. Whether it be in a more formal setting inside, on the the aft deck where you can dine on the custom-made teak or gather casually on the fly bridge where the blue sky and tropical breezes provide a comfortable, relaxing setting with great views. Luxury yacht Freedom has a fantastic fly bridge with a Spa Pool and a bar area.

There is plenty of space to relax and read a book however if you are feeling more energetic you can work out on the Bowflex TreadClimber. FREEDOM’s oversized lower aft deck and swim platform is specially designed to be your own personal “watersports center.” There is an excellent range of extras and toys onboard including 2 Seabob Underwater Scooters, 2 Blade Fish Underwater Scooters, SCUBA/Snorkel equipment, Skis, Wakeboards & towable toys, Trampoline with Slide, Kite Boarding Gear, 2 Stand-up Paddle Boards with viewing window, 2 Glass Bottom Kayaks, Fishing Rods & Tackle, and a Bowflex TreadClimber/Treadmill. She is also the first yacht in the world to offer Seabreacher – The Ultimate Diving Machine.

Motor yacht Freedom is a spacious yacht able to sleep up to 9 guests in 4 cabins. Her full-width master stateroom has a king-size bed and ensuite his and her bathrooms. Separating the two sides is a large glassed-in marble shower. There are plenty of cabinets, drawers and closet space for all your personal belongings plus a full-size desk area. At the end of a full day of sunning, diving, kayaking or just relaxing, entering your spacious stateroom is a retreat all unto itself. The cabins feature exquisite designer fabrics, custom-made bedding and comfortable pillows. Well-crafted oak cabinetry and beautifully lit interior walls create a warm and inviting ambiance. Forward along the extra wide passage way are 3 more staterooms. Two with queen-size beds with plenty of walk around space and their own ensuite bathrooms and shower and one stateroom is perfect for kids with twin beds and a pullman for a younger child. It also has its own bathroom and shower.
