First impressions

The appointed Clifford Denn to draw the exterior profile of his unique Heesen – a perfect example of a vessel that exudes the strong individuality of her owner while keeping the family feeling that characterises all yachts delivered by Heesen. Clifford Denn interpreted the client’s brief for a yacht with a powerful and aggressive personality, incorporating complex and extremely refined design elements into the exterior lines that have been beautifully and perfectly crafted by Heesen in house expert aluminium welders.

Step aboard

The interior design by Reymond Langton is characterised by rich Macassar ebony, accented with stainless steel features to exude a luxurious, refined atmosphere with bespoke fabrics by Fay Brixton, semi-precious stones, intricate inlays and warming touches of backlit white onyx and soft tactile leather. A striking first impression for those stepping on board is created by the bespoke Art Deco-style chandelier extending over two decks that is framed by the open-tread stairs.

Video: Heesen's new custom 50m yacht Ann G spotted on sea trials

The new Heesen  superyacht Ann G has been spotted out on her sea trials. Heesen Yachts launched its full-custom 50 metre yacht, now named Ann G , on June 3. Boat International was one of the first to climb aboard the stunning blue-hulled Ann G during an exclusive unveiling.

The video below shows superyacht Ann G returning from her sea trials. The yacht’s deep blue hull gleams in the sunlight on the bright day, and numerous water bound onlookers – in a dinghies, personal watercraft and day boats – slow down to circle the stunning yacht and get a closer look at her distinctive exterior lines. At the end of the video, Ann G pulls up to dock alongside another recent Heesen launch Azamanta , which is the first of her kind .

The steel-hull, full-displacement yacht Ann G comes in just under the 499GT mark. The owner chose yacht designer  Clifford Denn to pen the sweeping exterior lines and general arrangement of Ann G , while Reymond Langton created the modern meets Art Deco interior.

According to Clifford Denn, the experienced owner wanted an exterior with sculptured shapes and was very hands-on in the build.

"Modern deco" is how Jason Macaree of Reymond Langton describes the interior decor on Ann G . "It's an interpretation of Art Deco," says the designer. There are no antiques found on board, however.

The owner of Ann G had a brief for staircases that are as high quality of that of a larger yacht. This translates to wide staircases with comfortable steps that aren't as steep as you'd find on a yacht of similar size, both at the main and exterior staircases.

Coming on board Ann G , a crystal and stainless sculpture central feature catches the eye. Resembling the shape of an iconic Art Deco era building, it stretches from the lower deck all the way up.

Other commanding features on Ann G include a three-tier crystal chandelier over the dining room table, a glass artwork wall by DKT on the Lowe deck, and custom fabric headboards - all complemented by lush walnut and Makassar ebony.

The bathrooms have beautiful titles, with one guest bathroom alone boasting a mosaic wall with more than 20,000 tiles.

The owner's first yacht with Heesen, Ann G will be delivered to her owners mid July.

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]eesen Yachts has today announced that project YN 17350, M/Y Ann G, a 50m full-custom motoryacht, was delivered to her owners in international waters on July 17, 2015.

M/Y Ann G has been [highlight color=”yellow”]intensively tested[/highlight] in the North Sea on July 1-2 in smooth sea conditions with fresh breeze predominantly blowing from south east.

Ann G, whose full-displacement steel hull was created by Heesen in house team of naval architects and engineers, exceeded the contractual speed by 0.6 knots, reaching a top speed of 15.6 knots.

Award-winning designers Raymond Langton and team created the [highlight color=”yellow”]bold interiors[/highlight] of Ann G.

The interior design is characterised by rich Macassar ebony, accented with stainless steel features to exude a luxurious, refined atmosphere with warming touches of backlit white onyx and soft tactile leather. A striking first impression for those stepping on board is created by the bespoke Art Deco style chandelier extending over two decks that is framed by the open-tread stairs.

The main salon is a perfect area for entertaining guests with an intimate seating area adjoining the bar of Macassar and backlit onyx. The room also includes an elegant dining area with an extending Macassar dining table featuring an inlaid art panel and a feature artwork by Based Upon on the forward bulkhead.

The guest accommodation continues the contemporary Art Deco theme, with Macassar, stainless steel, leather and parchment, and a unique palette of artworks and fabrics distinguishing each of the four guest cabins.

The owner’s suite, located forward on the main deck, features a private office, large full-beam bedroom and bathroom flanked by his and hers changing rooms. The bedroom is accented with artistic touches such as fabric artwork, and intricate deco motif inlaid into the foot of the bed, and geometric stone mosaic artwork in the bathroom.

On the bridge deck, the sky lounge is a more informal, intimate atmosphere with the Macassar architecture of the room contrasted by parchment wall panels and opulent fabrics, framed with windows on three sides filling the room with natural light and offering panoramic views of the seascapes beyond.

The lower deck beach club is the most contemporary in style – a multi-purpose space dedicated to relaxation, with space for gym equipment, steam room, bar and seating area. The main woods in this area are elm panelling and teak flooring to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

The Heesen Yard Reveals The Stylish Ann G Superyacht

After being put through one of the most rigorous sea trials of any custom superyacht we remember, Heesen’s new Ann G superyacht has been finally introduced to the world. The beautiful, 164-foot, steel-hulled yacht features a Clifford Denn-designed exterior , showing off a powerful and aggressive overall profile.

The stunning curved aluminum superstructure instantly tells you we’re dealing with a sport yacht here, while the twin MTU M63 diesel engines seem to match the appearance; as such, the Ann G will easily reach a top speed of 15.6 knots.

English firm Reymond Langton designed Ann G’s cabins, in art-deco styling that would just complement the powerful statement of the exterior’s aesthetics. The London-based firm used strong-grained Macassar ebony paneling, accented with stainless steel, as well as backlit white onyx and leather to inspire and impress all those who come aboard.

A large art deco–inspired chandelier framed by open-tread stairs seems to hint towards that the minute you get in this marvelous vessel. The art deco theme carries through the four guest cabins, which feature Macassar, stainless steel, and fine leather finishes, not to mention unique color palettes.

The spacious owner’s suite is filled with original art, with walls decorated by using fabric artworks and an intricate deco motif. The full-beam suite also brags with an office, his and her dressing rooms, and a large bathroom with geometric stone artwork.

The social areas on Ann G include a main saloon boasting a seating area next to the bar, an elegant dining area, and the skylounge on the bridge deck, benefiting from large windows and incredible views of the sea. Next, the transom beach club was designed for working out or relaxing in the steam room, bar and external seating area – just in case chilling out isn’t your thing.

The sky deck, on the other hand, is probably the best place to experience the elements, with open spaces both fore and aft, and a walk through enclosure overhead. In the end, we could say that the Ann G superyacht looks exactly like an adventure, no matter how you look at it – or, from what angle.

A General Description of Motor Yacht ANN G

Being built by the Azimut Yachts yard in Italy the ANN G is 31 metre 101 (ft) in length. Launched to celebration by 2005 her reasonably recent internal styling reveals the talents of the design work of Carlo Galeazzi. Superyacht ANN G is able to accommodate up to 8 guests with 4 qualified crew. She will attain a top speed of 32 knots.

Motor yacht ANNE G built in 2005 is an Azimut Leopard designed by Stefano Righini. This composite yacht is a popular model with a cruising speed of 27 knots.

The Construction & Designing of Luxury Yacht ANN G

Stefano Righini was the naval architect firm involved in the formal superyacht composition for ANN G. Also the company Stefano Righini skillfully worked on this project. Interior designer Carlo Galeazzi was responsible for the internal interior styling. In 2005 she was formally launched with celebration in Viareggio and following sea trials and finishing touches was then passed on to the owner. Azimut Yachts completed their new build motor yacht in Italy. A moderate feeling is brought about with a total beam (width) of 7.16 m or 23.5 feet. With a 2.07m (6.8ft) draught (maximum depth) she is fairly shallow. The material composite was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure above deck is created with the use of composite. Over the deck of ANN G she is 29.81 (97.8 ft) in length.

Main Engines And The Speed That M/Y ANN G :

The 16V 2000 M91 engine installed in the motor yacht is made by MTU. Connected to her MTU engine(s) are twin screw propellers. The main engine of the yacht creates 2000 horse power (or 1472 kilowatts). She is equiped with 2 engines. The combined output for the yacht is thus 4000 HP or 2943 KW.

Bestowing cabins for a limit of 8 yacht guests overnighting, the ANN G accommodates them in style. Normally the vessel uses around 4 able crew members to operate.

Azimut-Benetti's history dates back to 1969, when enterprising young college student Paolo Vitelli founded Azimut Srl. Azimut was founded as a sailing boat chartering company and has since grown to become one of the world’s leading yacht builders with over 10,000 vessels to its name.

Ann G measures 30.15 metres in length, with a max draft of 2.07 metres and a beam of 7.16 metres. She has a gross tonnage of 163 tonnes.

Ann G has a GRP hull with a GRP superstructure.

The multi-award winning 50m/164'1" motor yacht 'Julia' (ex. Ann G) was built by Heesen in the Netherlands at their Oss shipyard. Her interior is styled by British designer design house Reymond Langton Design and she was delivered to her owner in July 2015. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Clifford Denn.

Guest Accommodation

Julia has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Onboard Comfort & Entertainment

Her features include beach club, gym and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Julia is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel MTU (8V 4000 M63) 8-cylinder 1,340hp engines running at 1800rpm, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles from her 60,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Her water tanks store around 20,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register ✠ 100A1 SSC Yacht ✠ LMC UMS classification society rules, and is MCA LY2 Compliant.

HVAC | MY Ann G

Ann G is a 50-metre full-custom displacement motoryacht built by Heesen Yachts. The stunning yacht features Clifford Denn exterior design and Reymond Langton interior design. The build was project-managed by Arcon Yachts. Created for a client with strong vision and high expectations, she is the quintessence of customisation and superb attention to detail.

Heesen Yachts

Heesen Yachts is a Dutch Shipyard founded by Frans Heesen in 1978. Since then the company has become a world leader in design, engineering and construction of high-performance motor yachts and has delivered nearly 170 yachts. Heesen offers outstanding performance, efficient fuel consumption, high-quality construction, cutting-edge technology, advanced engineering and avant-garde design.

HVAC by Heinen & Hopman

Heinen & Hopman was selected to deliver the HVAC and sanitary systems. A challenging project because the available space for the installation of the equipment onboard was very limited. Heinen & Hopman was required to think outside the box and come up with a creative solution to fit the ducting. The following systems were installed onboard:

• Chiller and fan coil units
• Fresh air system
• Mechanical ventilation exhaust
• Engine Room ventilation
• Sanitary systems (Sewage plant, vacuum system, toilets)
• Misters Unlimited (Water Moist system)
• Hydrophore unit
• Boilers and electric heaters
• Potable water cooling
• Cool and freeze system
• Monitoring system

Award-winning yacht

Ann G was delivered to its owner on July 17, 2015 and showcased at the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show as well. The yacht has been awarded the best exterior design and most achieved yacht at the Invictus Yacht Trophies in Cannes, an incredible achievement.
