Came here and stayed at one of our friends house for a few days here and I must say this gated community gulf area is pretty decent is you are looking to buy or have something as a vacation home. I was able to see quite a variety of homes from apartments to single family homes. They have pool, gym and salon which provides massages. Pretty decent as well if you have a boat you can park it there since they have a small marina. Super clean and secure looking gated area specially for the elderly.

Great Tennis program here! The pros are super professional and have a plethora of knowledge on the sport. The courts are great and located right near the water there, so there's usually a nice breeze. Overall a beautiful club with golf, tennis, workout and multiple social options available.

This was the perfect venue for the baby shower. Thirty ladies nestled around tables for eight in a private dining area next to the main Cubhouse's dining room. The Club was generous and allowed decorations brought by the hostess to be placed on the fireplace, in the tall windows, and as centerpieces. The Club also set up a dessert table for a display of hand-made goodies, and a long, white clothed table for gifts. The Chef appeared and accepted a deserved round of applause. Guests could choose from six entrees, printed on personalized menus at each place setting of silverware wrapped in a sunny yellow napkin. I selected the baby spinach salad in vinaigrette, festooned with a half dozen grilled shrimp, poached pears, feta, and nuts. Light, but filling. Mimosas added to the event's yellow color scheme. Gulf Harbour is Ft Myers' most upscale residence,with full amenities: golf, marina, Clubhouse, and additional gated communities within the gated, master community.

Great place for tennis and golf. Awesome workout facilities and pool area. I loved the walks on the private island and beautiful harbor views with spectacular sunsets. The dinning is pretty good and is reasonably priced. Nice happy hour too. Definitely will be back and would want to live here. Only a short 5 miles to the beaches.

Why bother playing here when there are over a hundred other wonderful courses you can play in the SW Florida area - there is no need to play at this club. Just NOT worth it. To begin with - when you arrive the convoluted way it is set up for parking, dropping off your clubs, you get into a really bad cart, and then you have to drive a strange 1/2 mile to get back over to the driving range and Pro Shop. The carts are awful with no GPS and such touchy brakes that you have to worry about being thrown out of the cart when they are used. The staff is rather unfriendly and very uncooperative. The Pro Shop is sparse. Amenities are a completely unknown item here; there are none. The practice area and the range over water are a joke - old sinking range balls. Then, there is the course. Narrow, not in great condition, and not particularly attractive or fun. So if you want to waste your time and money -- have at it. But seriously, there are at least 30 other golf courses that are infinitely more enjoyable with better staff and amenities. I would rather play anywhere but here.

Within the gates, homebuyers are sure to find their perfect home with a wide variety of housing styles and price ranges. Multiple Builders such as WCI Communities, Pulte, and Arthur Rutenberg began building homes in 1985 and built 1,616 residences when the company was completed in 2010. There are 22 unique neighborhoods primarily made up of resale homes including condominiums, coach, detached villas and single-family homes.

Gulf Harbour is one of the most luxurious communities in the Fort Myers area and is home to several astonishing condo neighborhoods. There is an array of condo options from the simple low-rise buildings to extravagant high-rise condos. Condo units range in size from approximately 1,000 square feet to over 3,000 square feet. Most of these feature stunning views of the marina, the Caloosahatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico. These homes typically have two to four bedrooms and two to four-and-a-half bathrooms with some offering a den. Residents also have assigned parking.

Coach homes come in four units per building and are located on either the first or second floor. Some buildings have elevator access and most coach homes have an attached two-car garage. They range in size from approximately 1,700 to 2,600 square feet with two to three bedrooms and two to three bathrooms. Detached villa homes are similar to single-family homes but with common areas maintained by the association. They range from approximately 1,049 to 1,600 square feet of living space and feature two to three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an attached two-car garage.

There are a variety of single-family homes throughout the community. These single-family homes can be customized and vary in size from approximately 1,600 to 5,700 square feet. They have two to four bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and a two or three-car garage. Some homes feature second-floor living areas, screened lanais, hot tubs, and private pools.

Gulf Harbour Yacht & Country Club

Well kept community. We've owned a few homes here. However, there's a couple stuck-up members that give the whole place a bad vibe. I've been kicked off the course because they thought I wasn't a member — total discrimination for the average low-key and modest folk. There's also rules like no golf course fishing that I'd like revoked. I see no harm in fishing on the course at 10 PM at night. A friend of mine got in trouble for dropping off his 70 year old mother at the gas dock. Too many rules and it's ludicrous. The security would give their own grandmother a speeding ticket. Overall, there are some great people that live here but there's a few things that just ruin it.

What Golfers are Saying

I hope my 1 star shows up! It seemed like it wouldn't take. I would give it 1/2 star if I could. Why bother playing here when there are over a hundred other wonderful courses you can play in the SW Florida area - there is just no need to play at this club. Just NOT worth it. To begin with - when you arrive the convoluted way it is set up for parking, dropping off your clubs, you get into a really bad cart, and then you have to drive a strange 1/2 mile to get back over to the driving range and Pro Shop. The carts are awful with no GPS and such touchy brakes that you have to worry about being thrown out of the cart when they are used. The staff is rather unfriendly and very uncooperative. The Pro Shop is sparse. Amenities are a completely unknown item here; there are none. The practice area and the range over water are a joke - old sinking range balls. Then, there is the course. Narrow, not in great condition, and not particularly attractive or fun. So if you want to waste your time and money -- have at it. But seriously, there are at least 30 other golf courses that are infinitely more enjoyable with better staff and amenities. I would rather play anywhere but here.

Our children are now adults, but we have enjoyed wonderful family vacation times at the nearby beaches, the Gulf Harbour pools, the beautiful grounds and of course the restaurants! Why this property? Of course we are biased, but we feel that the entire Gulf Harbour community is lovely, and friendly! It has the only full-sized marina in the area, which we appreciate as boaters. Plus, it's fun to walk along the docks and admire the beautiful boats!

This beautiful condo exceeded our expections!

First of all, the condo owner was very easy to deal with on this booking. Super communicator. As for the property, the pictures don't do the condo justice. It is tastfully and comfortably furnished with high-end touches. The bedding, towels, furniture and kitchen appliances were high quality. The condo was nice and quiet. The neighborhood pool was just down the street. The pool was heated and very pleasant. Gulf Harbour is truly conveniently located and a beautiful community.We'd highly recommend this property and host. First rate. You'll love it.

All around fabulous

Everything was perfect. The condo was perfectly decorated, absolutely spotless, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. The community was kept up beautifully and walking around the marina was a plus ! The owner was very responsive to all questions and great to rent from. I would definately return, however, the HOA does not allow pets in rentals and the next time I come to Florida, I would like to bring out pets. Do not hesitate to rent this condo !

Such a pleasant stay in warm Florida sunshine.

The location and surrounding area was great for us safe, secure, and pleasant to walk around in. Having the beaches and shopping within a 5-10 minute drive is perfect. The unit we stayed in was clean, beautiful, and quiet. The owner is easy and very accessible to communicate with. We would stay there again!

Tamarind Cay condo in Fort Myers.

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience during our stay at this Gulf Harbor condo in Tamarind Cay with golf course view. Great community with very nice pool and lots of space for long walks. The condo is very cozy and comfortable and has a lot of space including a dining room, family room and a cozy TV/reading room. Easy in/out off McGregor Blvd and a few miles from every thing. Great and clear communications with owner. We would recommend it to any of our friends.

Wonderful Place to Stay

Gulf Harbour is a lovely place to stay. The condo offered all the conveniences you’d expect in a high quality residence and is fully equipped with everything you need. A short walk to the beautiful pool/hot tub area along with walking paths throughout the neighborhood complimented the unit that overlooks the well-manicured golf course. Plenty of room and lots of amenities - we had a great time!

This is a great condo situated in a quiet location. Easy access to stores, restaurants and beaches. Within minutes you’re on your way to Sanibel and Captiva islands. Situated on a private golf course in Gulf Harbor, you’ll have a beautiful view of the the palm tree lined course while relaxing on the lanai. All your daily needs are right here in the home. A heated private swimming pool is within minutes walking distance. This is a beautifully landscaped community you’ll want to visit again and again!

Great home away from home

Great place with everything you need. If not shopping and dining conveniently near the unit. Beaches also very close. Owner will provide you with great info for the area. I didn’t get to spend much time in the condo due to my work schedule but when I did it was nice relaxing on the lanai that overlooked the golf course and just the overall quiet time it provided.

Wonderful 2 bedroom condo in a prime location

My wife and I were extremely pleased with what we got for the money. The condo was even better than anticipated. 2 nice size bedrooms and den, fully stocked kitchen to make meals at home when you wanted and the location on the 5th hole of the Gulf Harbour Golf Club was great. We enjoyed eating out on the Lanai and watching the golfers hit approach shots onto the green in front of us. Another nice feature is the ability to use the owners sports membership (for a fee) to gain access to the beautiful health club, tennis courts, pools, restaurants and the golf course for at least a couple rounds in high season. The Gulf Harbour grounds are expansive and beautiful. We went for many walks and even used the owners 2 bikes to go for a ride around the neighborhoods. 15 minutes to beaches, 20 minutes to Sanibel, 25 minutes to downtown Fort Myers, just a perfectly located and comfortable place to call home for awhile.

Floridians are finding themselves in a changed landscape after Hurricane Ian swept through the region on Wednesday. Images of the aftermath show a glimpse of the destruction caused by the powerful Category 4 storm: homes washed out, boats yanked from their moorings, and decimated neighborhoods. Rescue and recovery efforts are underway after some of the more dangerous conditions subsided, some deaths have been reported and massive power outages continue, as the full scope of Ian's destruction becomes clearer.
