Experience Mongolian Buffet with Subic Bay Yacht Club’s Cambusa Bistro

Subic Bay Yacht Club has been in the fabulous and extravagant lifestyle scene for more than two decades now, but what we are going to highlight here is their Cambusa Bistro, specifically their lunch buffet offering.

subic bay yacht club menu

On our first day here at Subic Bay Yacht Club, we were lucky to have arrived just before their Mongolian Lunch Buffet ended. It was a different dining experience that we sure enjoyed and loved doing as we got to choose how our dish went.

To start, you decide how your base will be – either you go for rice or noodles. What I went with was noodles because I just love some slurping action when it comes to my food!

subic bay yacht club menu

Next to that is the choosing of vegetables. This Mongolian Buffet of Cambusa Bistro has a ton of veggie options like tomato, chili fingers, bell peppers, mushrooms, carrots, leeks and so much more! With my bowl, what I decided to put in were mushroom, chili fingers, bell peppers, onions, cabbage, sesame, garlic, and chili because I live for some adventure – even when it comes to my food!

subic bay yacht club menu

After having some base and some veggies to munch on, I chose how my sauce will be. They have some options you could choose from like sweet and sour, sweet, sweet and spice, and hot and spicy. I chose to make mine delicious by going with their recipe for sweet and spicy sauce. I just adjusted it a bit as I wanted the spice to punch me more than the sweet to kiss me.

subic bay yacht club menu

Last but definitely not the least, but probably my favorite, is the choosing of meats. I just adore a really good bite, so I filled my delectable bowl with squid, beef sukiyaki, as well as pork strips! I want my toppings to be present until my last scoop, so I really went all out and had a generous serving of those in this Mongolian bowl of mine.

Having to finish all the choosing and whatnot, I gave my bowl to the kitchen so they can cook it and do all their wonders to it. All I had to do was wait for a few minutes until they got to serve it to my table and I just could not stall for a few more moments because I automatically dug into it!

As I was enjoying this yummy Mongolian bowl, they also served me a glass of their refreshing iced tea which really aided in my gulping down each and every delicious bit of this dish I made!

I regret not going for round two – there, I said it! And so, you better go for another round after finishing yours because you will probably end up regretting not going, too. You can also grab some fruits to end your Mongolian Buffet experience with Subic Bay Yacht Club’s Cambusa Bistro.

Subic Things to Do

Top 10 Things to Do & Tourist Spots in Subic

By continuing to read this article, you agree to double-check with the concerned establishments for the latest updates.

Subic is known for many things — being a former US Navy Base is one; but for tourists, Subic means beaches, amusement parks, adventure parks, and shopping, among others.

When we recently took a trip to Zambales , we thought heading back to Manila right after checking out of Crystal Beach Resort in the town of San Narciso was too early. So we decided to head straight to Subic to spend the rest of the day there exploring.

In this post, we’ll list down the things we did and places we visited in Subic, along with other popular activities that you can also consider for your trip. Note that these are just some of the things you can do in Subic Bay as there are A LOT of attractions in the area. But you can refer to this list if you have zero idea what to do for your trip yet.

Subic Bay SBMA Beach

Subic, also known as Subic Bay or Subic Bay Freeport Zone , is located in Central Luzon. It covers a part of Olongapo City , Municipality of Subic , and the towns of Hermosa and Morong in Bataan . Formerly a US Military naval base which was once the biggest in Asia, Subic is the first free port of the Philippines . It is managed by the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).

From Manila, it takes about a three-hour drive to get there. If you’re not driving, public transportations are also available. Although not as straightforward as getting in your car and driving, it is doable. More details later. For now, here are some of the things to do and places to visit in Subic.

WHAT'S IN THIS GUIDE?

Magic Lagoon

Magic Lagoon Subic Bay

We arrived in Subic around 1PM, so our first stop was Magic Lagoon to get some late lunch. Magic Lagoon Restobar is one of the most popular dining places in Subic. It is known for the scenic view of the lagoon beside it, hence its name. Located across Subic Bay Yacht Club, the restobar is open 24/7, serving classic Filipino dishes and delicacies. Some of the items on the menu are kare-kare , chicken tinola , bistek Tagalog , pinapaitang kambing (goat) , and of course, sinigang , which is available in different protein options: pork, beef, fish, and shrimp.

If you’re just looking for a light meal, you can also order lomi, pancit, clubhouse sandwich, and burgers. For drinks, it serves fruit juices, fruit shakes, and coffee. But since this is a restobar , of course there are alcoholic beverages too. Among the options on the drinks menu is the “below-zero” beer, which they call balot sa puti .

Magic Lagoon

For our lunch, we ordered the grilled squid and grilled isaw because we were really craving something…well, grilled. However, they weren’t warm when they was served, which is odd for grilled dishes. As for the taste, they were decent, nothing spectacular, just as what you’d expect grilled squid and isaw taste like. Maybe their other dishes taste remarkable, but we’d have to try that another time. We also had some fruit shakes — ripe mango for Hannah, and green mango for me. It was just what we needed to beat the scorching heat.

Dishes and meals here range from P99 to P1,590 . If you’re a group, they also have “binulkan”, which are bundle deals good for 5-7 pax.

Price Range: P99 – P1,600 Opening Hours: 24/7 Location: Bicentennial Park, Rizal Highway, Subic Bay Freeport Zone

Sunset Cruise

We didn’t do this on our most recent trip, but we have experienced this sunset sailing in Subic a few years ago. If you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply planning a date with your loved one, this might be something to consider. And oh! You don’t have to rent a whole yacht to experience a sunset cruise in Subic Bay. There are joiner sunset cruises you can avail of, where you’ll share the yacht with other guests.

But if you’re interested in renting a yacht to have a yacht party, you can do this too! You can book a yacht with La Banca Cruises . When you rent a yacht, you can bring food and drinks on board since it doesn’t include meals.

If you need a pick-me-up, there are many local coffee shops around Subic. We decided to drop by 727 Coffee located in Building 727 on the corner of Manila Avenue and Dewey Avenue. We mainly chose this coffee shop because the place looked chic on photos we saw online. But upon entering the store, we were welcomed by the aroma of coffee and we had a feeling the café serves a good cup of Joe. The packed coffee shop also seems to say the same.

727 Coffee Subic

Luckily, it also has an outdoor area where more seats are available and we found a table. I ordered the 727 signature, while Hannah got the horchata. The menu includes a variety of coffee choices and it was honestly hard to choose. From the classics like latte, cappuccino, and flat white to the signature drinks like honey oat lavender latte, zebra mocha, and the 727 signature.

727 Coffee

If you’re traveling with non-coffee drinkers, it also serves non-coffee drinks, including teas. And if you’re hungry, they have meals, waffles, and cookies on the menu as well. Their drinks range from P100 to P350 while their food items are priced between P100 and P700 . We weren’t able to try any of their food items, but we’ll definitely go back just for the drinks alone.

Price Range: Drinks, P100 – P350; Meals/Snacks, P100 – P700 Opening Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM; Friday to Sunday, 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM. Note that opening schedule may change without prior notice, so check the official Facebook page for updates. Location : Building 727, Manila Avenue, Subic Bay Freeport Zone

Subic Bay Sunset

As suckers for sunsets, we wanted to catch the sunset here in Subic too so we headed to the SBMA Beach boardwalk. From 727 Coffee, you can get here on foot in about five minutes. We arrived at the boardwalk at the perfect time, because just a few minutes after finding a spot on the beach, the sun started to set. And as we take in the wonderful spectacle, more people flocked to the beach to watch the sunset, but it’s not crowded since there’s a long stretch of beach for everyone to enjoy the view.

Location: SBMA Beach, Waterfront Road, Subic Bay Freeport Zone

Maple 28 Restaurant

Before heading back to Manila, we went to Maple 28 Restaurant to have dinner. This was also just a few minutes away from the boardwalk, so we decided to walk there. You wouldn’t miss this because the restaurant has a huge sign right outside, on the corner of Labitan Street and Dewey Avenue. We immediately liked the ambiance of the restaurant including the live acoustic music serenading the guests.

Maple 28 Subic

Maple 28 has an extensive menu, starting from breakfast meals with Filipino and American options which they serve until 4:00 PM. It offers a variety of starters, soups, and salads. As for main dishes, the best sellers for international flavors include baby back ribs , beef burger , fish and chips , and nasi goreng with chicken satay . For the local dishes, the best-sellers are pork liempo , laing , sizzling sisig , and pork binagoongan . The restaurant also serves pastas and sandwiches.

Maple 28

Hannah and I opted for the rice bowls because they looked like a type of comfort food you’d want after a long day. And we were right. We tried the kimchi and beef fried rice and the seaweed garlic butter beef don . Both of them were really tasty and filling because these bowls are packed. When we went there, they were serving free lechon to diners for some reason and we also got a free crepe as a part of their promo! So just imagine how full we were after dining here. Lol

You’ll find a lot more restaurants around Subic that you could try too. Among the most recommended online are Coco Lime , Rali’s Restaurant , Texas Joe’s House of Ribs , and Meat Plus Cafe . If you’ve been to any of these restaurants or have other restaurant recommendations around Subic, let us know in the comments!

Opening Hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 7:30 AM – 10:00 PM. Note that opening schedule may change without prior notice, so check the official Facebook page for updates. Location: Labitan Street corner Dewey Avenue, Central Business District, Subic Bay Freeport Zone,

We weren’t able to visit any shop on this trip, but if you love shopping, this should be in your itinerary. There are multiple duty-free shops and outlet stores around Subic where you can buy imported goods and discounted items. If you’re an impulsive shopper, we must warn you to prepare your wallets because you might not be able to resist.

NOTE: Inside the duty-free shops, items are priced in dollars, but don’t worry because the cashiers accept peso for payment.

El Kabayo Subic Trail

Subic grants adventure-seekers and nature lovers with a number of trekking sites. One of those is the El Kabayo Subic Trail . You can join MAD Travel’s Tribe and Trek program where you can explore the flora and fauna surrounding the trail and learn about jungle survival as well as making herbal medicine. The El Kabayo Subic Trail is home to Aeta’s Pastolan Tribe and the program aims to help the indigenous tribes preserve their ancestral domain. This helps tourists understand the importance of natural heritage and sustainable tourism.

You can also check out the waterfalls towards the end of the trail. It’s not grand though, so you may also choose to skip it if waterfalls are not your thing. MAD Travel also has Feast in the Forest , where you’ll explore the forest and forage to experience a unique culinary journey with the local Aeta community.

Wreck Diving and Snorkeling

Subic Bay is filled with several vintage shipwrecks and remnants of WWII . These attract both local and international divers who have a penchant for wreck diving . Some shipwrecks in Subic Bay are the USS New York , the Oryoku Maru , the Sakura Maru , and the USS Lanikai . Some of these sites are only about 15 minutes away from diving centers.

There are several dive centers around Subic Bay and the rates vary depending on the course, the number of sessions, and the inclusions. Recreational wreck dive prices range from P2,000 to P3,000 if you have your own gear. If you will rent gear, add P500 to P1,000 on top of that.

If you’re not a diver, some diving operators allow non-divers to go snorkeling. The snorkeling fee with gear rental is around P1,000 to P1,200.

How to Get to Subic

If you’re driving, you can navigate easily using navigation apps like Waze and Google Maps . Simply type in your specific destination in Subic and follow the map. But if your only option is to take public transportation, here’s a step-by-step guide you can follow to get to Subic.

Public Transportation

Victory Liner Bus to Iba

  • Board a bus bound for Olongapo (P230-P380). Victory Liner has regular trips to Olongapo from several of their terminal around Metro Manila including Cubao, Sampaloc, Caloocan, and Pasay. You can just pick which terminal is most accessible to you and has a trip schedule that works for you. Although this wouldn’t be a challenge because they have multiple trip schedules throughout the day from early morning to late night.
  • Get off at Olongapo terminal. The bus would terminate at Victory Liner’s bus terminal in Olongapo and this is where you’ll get off.
  • Walk to the jeepney terminal. From the bus terminal, the jeepney stop is only less than five minutes on foot. You can ask the bus conductor or staff at the bus terminal for directions. Just tell them you’re looking for the jeepneys going to SM Olongapo. It’s not hard to spot these jeepneys because the whole thing is painted yellow.
  • Ride a jeepney to SM Olongapo (P13). There are no jeepneys within Subic Bay. The jeepney would drop you off at SM Olongapo where you can start walking to get to the Freeport Zone.
  • Walk to the taxi bay. From SM Olongapo, there’s a walkway that would lead you to Subic Bay Freeport Zone. From there, make your way to Ayala Malls Harbor Point to find a taxi bay.
  • Ride a taxi to your destination. It is important to know that taxis here in Subic Bay does not look and function like usual taxis in Manila. Taxis in Subic Bay are SUVs with the SBFZ taxi logo and body number on the sides instead of the usual taxi sign on top of the car. And these taxis do not have a meter.
  • Tell the driver your destination and agree on the fare first before getting in the taxi. Taxi rates are between P100 to P700 depending on the distance and can accommodate up to seven (7) people. These taxis are also the only mode of public transportation available within Subic Bay.

subic restaurants

Sharing is caring!

Subic restaurants offer unique and scrumptious dishes that one should try while travelling with family, friends and loved ones.

It was during Covid19 when I decided to stay here in Subic and from what I’ve experienced, this place is amazing in terms of nature, adventures and at the same time new food and restaurants to eat.

Without further ado, I have listed 10 restaurants in no particular order that you might want to visit when you are in Subic.

I would also rate these restaurants from 1 to 5, as 5 being the highest according to price, taste, service and ambiance. Just a disclaimer, I am not a food expert or critic, I just want to share my experience so that I could give you a glimpse of what to expect on these restaurants.

  • CAMBUSA BISTRO
  • BEN’S KITCHEN
  • SEFINA’S BAKERY and CAFÉ
  • MAGIC LAGOON
  • EXTREMELY EXPRESSO
  • SANDS RESTO GRILL
  • TEXAS JOE’S HOUSE OF RIBS
  • PIRATES BISTRO
  • RALI’S RESTAURANT
  • SUBIC YACHT CLUB – CAMBUSA BISTRO

Cambusa Bistro is the main restaurant at Subic Yacht Club that offers casual dining experience and mouthwatering fusion of modern Italian and Asian cuisine.

subic restaurants

  • AMBIANCE: 5 points

Honestly, “wow” is my first impression for the ambiance of this restaurant. It is a “wow” because Cambusa Bistro is inside the Subic Yacht Club hotel where you will be able to see the yachts and the stunning Marina view.

subic restaurant

The restaurant is also simple yet homie. There is not much decorations, it’s majestic view and comfortable table setting does it all.

subic restaurants

I’ve visited this place twice and I have no qualms that this is a perfect restaurant for family and friends gathering or even a romantic date night.

subic bay yacht club menu

  • PRICE: 4.8 points

For the price, it is not that very expensive. For a price range of PHP 250 to 350 ($5-7), you will be able to have pasta, noodle or a healthy salad. It is affordable for me as they have big serving good for sharing.

subic restaurants menu

  • TASTE: 4.8 points

Margherita Pizza, Seafood Linguine, Pancit Canton and Crispy Chicken Sandwich is a must try food to eat in Cambusa Bistro.

Though their All Meat Pizza is the best seller, we tried their Margherita and surprisingly it has a flavorful taste.

subic bay yacht club menu

For the Seafood Linguine, I am so happy that they put a lot of toppings such as Salmon, Shrimp, herbs and other seafood. The sauce is not that salty, overall, the taste is impressive.

  • SERVICE: 4.5 points

Their serving of food will make you wait for about 20 minutes as they will serve it in a hot plate. They have a good service, is just that during our visit, their attending waitress is not around all the time when we needed her.

IN A NUTSHELL

For an average 4.8 points, I would definitely recommend Cambusa Bistro.

Meanwhile, other information to note about this place are down below:

2. BEN’S KITCHEN

Ben’s Kitchen serves healthy tossed salads, flavorful grilled chicken and pork, and other dishes with unique style of cooking.

subic restaurants

Located at Ayala Malls Harbor Point, this restaurant is a worthy place to dine for.

  • AMBIANCE: 4.5 points

At the entrance of the place, a cute living space of the restaurant will welcome you. It has books, magazines and their menu that you could browse while waiting for your reservation or order.

subic restaurants

They have a homie table setting and minimalist style of lights and furniture setup.

The place is not that big but quite enough to table 30 to 50 persons.

  • PRICE: 4.5 points

I would give this place 4.5 points as their food price is affordable. And the fact that you will get what you pay for when they serve your order.

For only PHP 300 ($6), you could have a 12 inches pizza which is good for 2-3 persons. I would say that this is an amazing deal especially when you are in a group and you want to eat and at the same not spend too much.

subic restaurants

I actually would like to give Ben’s Kitchen 5 points for their Beef Stroganoff, Plater of Ribs and Blueberry Cheesecake but their Vanilla Cloud Shake made me changed my mind. Their milkshakes are kind of sugary and if given a chance I would instead take their Pink Lemonade.

subic bay yacht club menu

Moving forward, I would highly recommend their Plater of Ribs as for only PHP 400 ($8), you will have in one plate fried potatoes, sweet corns and the most sought-after smoky taste of baby back pork ribs.

subic bay yacht club menu

  • SERVICE: 4.6 points

In this restaurant, the waiting time is only between 10 – 15 minutes and their waitress and waiters are very accommodating. When you need water, they will serve it fast.

subic bay yacht club menu

While also waiting, they will give you free pop corn which I personally like.

subic restaurants

For an average 4.6 points, when you are in Subic, just make sure to check out this place as they serve good food and service.

3. SEFINA’S BAKERY and CAFÉ

Sefina’s Bakery is a restaurant in Subic that serves freshly baked breads, cakes, pastries, rice meals, pasta and coffee.

subic restaurants

I would say that when you are craving for sweets, this place is the perfect place for you.

  • AMBIANCE: 3.8 points

I would like to become objective when it comes to rating. And honestly, I would say that the ambiance of this café is not that very cozy as to compare with Starbucks, Coffee Bean or Tim Hortons.

subic bay yacht club menu

On the other hand, I like their white wall and nature decorations. Is just that, their tables and chairs could be improved, that’s all.

Their food pricing is also affordable for me. Their food serving is what you pay for.

You could get a slice of cake for only PHP 90 ($1.80) and have a cool drink for PHP 35 ($.70).

sefina's bakery menu

I really like their cream puff, signature Beef Tapa and Chicken Cordon Bleu.

I am telling you, when you visit this place, never ever leave it without ordering their Beef Tapa. It would only cost you PHP 130 ($2.60). I highly recommend it because it is so tender, and taste is so flavorsome. Maybe they marinate it overnight and add up their secret ingredients.

subic bay yacht club menu

Know wander, it is one of the famous Subic restaurants as people are coming to this place because of it’s great recipes.

They also have a lot of pastries to choose from and my two favorites are the cream puff and red velvet cream cheese.

subic restaurants

  • SERVICE: 4.2 points

They will serve your food for about 10-20 minutes. And this place has also a policy of “serve yourself” and “clean as you go”. They actually use disposable plate and utensils, so when you are done eating, you have to throw it in a garbage. I really appreciate this policy of the restaurant is just that they have no clear signage and space of where to get the food and where to throw the disposable materials we’ve used.

All in all, the experience and choices of food in Sefina’s Restaurant are pretty amazing. With an average 4.3 points, I will order again in this place when I pass by especially their pastries.

Address: Asiana Inn, #48 Gordon Avenue, Pag-asa, New Asinan

Contact Number: (047) 224 8003

4. MAGIC LAGOON

Magic Lagoon offers Filipino dish that you will surely love.

subic restaurants

This restaurant is creating a buzz for foreigners and even local travelers for the food adventure and at the same time bar experience.

  • AMBIANCE: 4.8 points

During the day, this place is so quiet and simple. And its surrounding is calm and very relaxing.

subic bay yacht club menu

I found Magic Lagoon’s ambiance as a unique and nature centered. As the name itself, it is situated beside a lagoon and house some farm animals such as ducks, goats and fishes.

  • PRICE: 3.5 points

For some of their dishes, I believe the price could be lowered. For example, their Buko shake costed me PHP 170 ($3.40). I would expect that it would range between PHP 100 to 120 ($2 -2.40) because I know that the raw buko in Subic only costs PHP 30 ($.60). Although, I love their Buko Shake but I still feel like it is overpriced.

Another dish that I think could be lowered is their Pork Kinilaw. It has a price of PHP 280 ($5.60) but the serving is so little. For the price, I expect that it will be good for 2-3 persons, but it is not.

Though some of their dishes like the Bulalo, grilled squid and calamares have a generous serving.

  • TASTE: 4.0 points

I have a mixed pointing system when it comes to taste as some dishes are really good and some are just okay.

I really like their Bulalo and Shanghai, I will recommend it to my family and friends. But for Pork Kinilaw and grilled squid, the taste is just the usual.

They also have a good service in this place. Only that, you have to wait for about 20 -30 minutes to have your order. Though they serve your food hot, which I really prefer. They also have attentive waiters and waitresses which I really admire.

With an average point of 4, I would also recommend this place. This is the best restaurant to eat, in my opinion after you visit El Kabayo Stables. I actually featured this place before on my article for El Kabayo, you may visit my journey here .

Below are some other information that could be helpful to know more about this place.

5. EXTREMELY EXPRESSO

When you are a coffee lover, go to Extremely Expresso.

subic restaurants

This place was created as a casual bistro style restaurant that brings breakfast, lunch and dinner with a European flair.

  • AMBIANCE: 4.2 points

Extemely Expresso has a good location in Subic. What I think could be improved in this place are the arrangements of tables and chairs and at the same time the ordering system.

I like that they set up tables and chairs outside but sometimes when it is raining and sunny as well as when there’s a lot of people coming, the ambiance is becoming not that friendly.

As when I rate the ambiance, I also consider the comfort to customers and at the same time the experience being in a restaurant.

Extemely Expresso has also a good pricing when it comes to their food.

Their Banana Mocha Milk Shake is the best. For only PHP 150 ($3), you’ll get a mix of real banana, freshly brewed coffee and mocha. I think it is better than Starbucks coffee or milk shake.

They also have generous serving as to pastas, salads, pizza and desserts.

Subic restaurants

Wow, their Big Ben Pizza is a statement. I really like the fusion of Pepperoni, Sausage, Bacon, Mushrooms, Black Olives, two kinds of cheese, and other ingredients.

subic bay yacht club menu

I also like their cucumber and crabstick salad. It’s nutritious and freshly made.

subic restaurants

You know, in times like this we have to watch out our diet to become fit and healthy.

subic bay yacht club menu

There are lot of other dishes to try, but I only pick some because if I will try all, I may lose my one month allowance lol haha.

But for some restaurants who would want my opinion and food review, I am very open for invitation and collaboration.

  • SERVICE: 3.8 points

We have waited for 30 minutes to get our food and 15 minutes before they get our orders. The timeline is quite unproductive. As much as I’d like to give a high rate, I think their service could be improved.

I also understand that it maybe because it was during Covid19 when we go to Extremely Expresso and they are understaffed. But, when we visited other restaurants listed on this article, they still have a good management as to people and so what I expect also to have in this restaurant.

With an average point of 4.3, I would invite my family and friends to go in this Subic restaurant. I like all the food that they serve. Their pizza and milkshakes are totally remarkable. I am looking forward to eat again at Extremely Expresso.

Also, you may enjoy this place after going to the beach. We actually went here after our trip at Inflatable Island. It was an awesome experience, you may see my journey at Inflatable in here .

6. SANDS RESTO GRILL

Do you want to sit and look over on the placid pool and astonishing view of Subic Bay?

If yes, then this restaurant is the right place for you.

subic restaurants

Sands Resto Grill offers delightful cuisines be it international and local, that would surely satisfy your appetite and cravings.

  • TASTE: 4.5 points

The effort and time going to this place is worth it.

They serve unique dishes like chicken marengo, cream of clam soup, salad and kebab.

Their pricing is also affordable despite of the fact that it serves international flavors.

For a budget of PHP 400 ($8) you could have Kare-Kare dish which is also good for 2- 3 persons.

subic bay yacht club menu

For a group of 6 to 8 persons, you could just pay PHP 2,000 to 3,000 ($ 40-60) to enjoy most of their delicious food.

Adding up to the value of this restaurant is the lighthouse. This place is a must place to visit when you are in Subic.

For more details about this place, you may refer below:

7. TEXAS JOE’S HOUSE OF RIBS

Should you want to experience the Original Real American Smokehouse, Texas Joe’s House of Ribs is the place to be!

This restaurant is using a hickory wood when they smoke meat. People actually visited this restaurant because of this western style of cooking.

For other dishes, surely you will like their Texas Skewer of Shrimp and Cowpoke Salad.

On the other hand, their food pricing is also affordable. When you have a budget of PHP 150 to 300 ($3-6) you’ll be fine. They have a generous serving that would also be good for sharing.

For other details about this place, you may refer below:

Address: Mc Kinley St, Subic Bay Freeport Zone

8. COCOLIME

Cocolime is a family style restaurant that serves Asian cuisine.

  • AMBIANCE: 4.4 points
  • TASTE: 4.3 points
  • SERVICE: 4.4 points

You will get what you pay for when you order food in this restaurant. I really like their pineapple rice and Chili Chicken wings.

Know that you can eat in this place with a budget of PHP 130 – 150 ($2.60-3.00)

With an average score of 4.4, I would recommend this one of the best Subic restaurants for people looking for comfort food and those who really wanted to taste Filipino dishes.

On the other hand, below information could be helpful when you visit this place.

Address: Rizal Highway 2222 Subic

Contact Number: (047) 252 2412

Website: https://www.facebook.com/CocoLimeRestaurant/

9. PIRATES BISTRO

The restaurant offers international food that will surely satisfy your cravings and hungry stomach.

From the name itself, this place will take you to Pirates world of food, feeling like you are in Caribbean driving a ship like Captain Jack Sparrow.

You have a lot of options when you eat here in Pirates Bistro. They also have tables if you prefer to eat outside. What makes them more enjoyable is the live band, where you could join them to sing.

Their pricing is also affordable as you can have a whole rack of Ribs with marbled potato side for only PHP 500 ($10), Pizza Taco Flavor PHP 290 ($5.80) and Nachos for PHP 250 ($5).

As they have great place to eat, a good menu and friendly staff, I will recommend for you to try this restaurant.

Address: Bldg.532 Waterfront Road. 2200 Olongapo

Contact Number: 0930 665 2747

10. RALI’S RESTAURANT

Should you be looking for a place to eat fronting the ocean, Rali’s Restaurant is definitely your perfect spot.

This restaurant serves international, Italian and Spanish cuisine that will surely surprise and excite your taste buds because of the authenticity of their food flavors and fresh ingredients.

  • AMBIANCE: 4.7 points
  • PRICE: 4.2 points
  • TASTE: 4.4 points
  • SERVICE: 4.3 points

Their Bacon Wrapped Chicken stuffed with cheese and spinach is so delicious. While the value of their wine and drinks is kind of pricey to me.

Atmosphere and the view are very good. Whether you go here in the morning or evening, you will enjoy this place.

For their service, all in all it was good but I think it is inevitable that sometimes waiters and waitresses are not that very accommodating.

Still, I would recommend this place for foreigners, travelers and locals as Rali serves delicious food and unique drinks.
