The highest (average!)price per person is in the week from 2024-08-03 (830€), and the lowest is in the week from 2024-10-26 (487€). The difference in the rental price from the highest season to the lowest is up to 41%.

• D-Marin Dalmacija – located a few kilometers south of the ancient city of Zadar, which is the largest marina in Croatia with 1,200 berths and can accommodate yachts up to 80m LOA.

For larger berths in the Split-Dalmatia region:

• ACI Marina Split –  located in the heart of Croatia's "jewel" this marina has recently been modernised, offering great shopping, dining, fuelling and repair services to name but a few, alongside 318 protected berths that can accommodate superyachts up to 90m LOA. 
• Marina Kastela – just 7km up the coast from Split – which can accommodate superyachts of up 150m/492ft in length, with a draft of 8m.
• D-Marin Mandalina – located in the city of Šibenik, situated between two National Parks within a protected lagoon, this marina boasts 429 slips, and has also been specially developed to accommodate yachts of up to 140m/459ft LOA.

Some important things to consider before booking your yacht;

• Yachts tend to spend more time at anchor in Croatia, so you need to consider that when choosing your perfect yacht. Ideally, find a yacht that is comfortable with ample leisure and entertainment facilities onboard. 
• Avoid heading into Dubrovnik when the big cruise ships are in town, these vessels can hold some 3,000 passengers and the town can become uncomfortably crowded.
• You should also be aware that certain zones in Croatia's waters forbid fishing or diving, or require special permissions to do so. This is something you can discuss with your yacht broker, or yacht captain when deciding on your itinerary.

There should be a wide selection of yachts to choose from, so there is sure to be something that suits both you and your budget.

Croatian Gulets, traditional wooden yachts with wide beams that offer spacious deck areas and generous accommodation, are a fantastic and cost-effective alternative to a luxury charter yacht. Gulets are available to charter for around €13,500-€15,000 per week, which usually includes food and up to 4 hours cruising per day.

Gulets are also perfect for family charters, or those who simply enjoy spending their time out on deck soaking up the beautiful surroundings of this stunning region.

The perfect time for yacht charters in Croatia is between May to October, with average temperatures in the mid to high 20s, calm sapphire seas and endless days of glorious sunshine.

You should note that Croatia's peak season is in July and August, so expect both higher charter fees and crowded marinas during these months.

Most charters tend to begin in the beautiful historic towns of Dubrovnik or Split before continuing on to the celebrated islands of Hvar, Mljet, Vis and Brač. Alternatively, you can begin in Montenegro in the south, but you should note there may be additional re-positioning fees to pay as most yachts are based out of Split.

Another option is to begin your yacht charter in Venice, Italy then cross the Adriatic to Croatia's breathtaking northern region before cruising down the coast to Zadar or Split.

Once you have decided on your perfect yacht, your yacht broker will then draw up the necessary contract; a legally binding agreement between you and the owner of the yacht. At this point, based on the type of contract, you will be required to pay 50% of the cost of the yacht up front, with an additional 25-30% of this base rate to cover additional expenses you and your guests are expected to incur whilst on charter.

Sheltered by the  chain of the Dinaric Alps, its endless coastline is covered with  pristine beaches and charming medieval towns. A Croatia yacht charter is  a wonderful choice whether you are looking for a relaxed sailing  vacation with your family, or an exiting sailing adventure with your  friends. This region has many secluded islands and islets, along with a  wide variety of comfortable marinas. You can choose a boat charter in  Croatia with easy hops or longer, more challenging passages.

A Croatian sailing vacation offers a wonderful chance to explore  ancient ruins and historic cities, to stay for a night in a secluded  anchorage, or to visit traditional fishing villages - all of this in one  of the most beautiful landscapes in Europe.

Yachting is one of the most popular forms of recreation in Croatia,  thus numerous catamarans and sailboats can be seen all over the  coastline. Croatia yacht charters are well developed. Here you will find  one of the biggest European chains of modern marinas with berths for  yachts and catamarans from 30 to over 100 feet long. Anchorages,  moorings, and marinas have all the necessary amenities and are located  within a few miles of one another. The Adriatic coastline can be divided into three counties: Istria,  Central Dalmatia and South Dalmatia. Yacht charters in Croatia are  available all along the coast. Below are some useful tips for selecting a  boat rental in Croatia that will help you find the perfect time and  place for your dream sailing trip.

North Croatia Sailing – Istria County

July to the middle of September is the best time for a yacht  charter in the northern part of Croatia. During this season the water is  warm and most days are sunny, while the prevailing wind is mild  mistral. In early spring and late autumn this area may be prone to bora,  strong local northeastern winds.

One of the most convenient places to start a North Croatia yacht  charter is in Pula, the city closest to the international airport.

During your sailing vacation in the northern region of Istria, we  recommend a visit to the former Tito`s state summer residence, his  favorite safari park in the Brijuni Islands, to walk under the ancient  pines of Mali Losinj and to sail under the picturesque Cres Island  bridge. The stunning view of the ancient Rovigno City and its main  landmark, St. Euphemia Basilica, can be seen only from the water. If you  are looking for a more challenging sailing passage in Croatia, you may  like to head from Pula directly to Venice. Within a several hour journey  you will find yourself along the Italian coast.

Trogir, situated northwest of Split boasts beautiful Romanesque churches and Venetian-era Renaissance and Baroque constructions. Split's Diocletian's Palace is another UNESCO monument and a historical complex built in the 3rd and 4th centuries by Roman emperor Diocletian. Moving onto the island of Hvar, although unknown to many tourist, Stari Grad Plain is also on the UNESCO list. This is an ancient stone wall that divides the land into twenty-four plots of grapes and olives, which have been continuously used for the past 2400 years. In Croatia, driving is on the right-hand side. A valid driving license from your home country is required, and depending on your country of origin, you may also need an International Driving Permit (IDP).

The speed limits in Croatia are generally 50 km/h in urban areas, 90 km/h on secondary roads, and 130 km/h on highways, subject to change based on road conditions and signage. From November 15 to April 15 , winter tires or snow chains are mandatory on certain roads, especially in mountainous areas. By law, vehicles in Croatia must carry a reflective safety vest and a warning triangle. These should be used in case of breakdowns or accidents. But don't worry – we take care of those, if you choose our rental car! The legal blood alcohol limit is 0.05% for drivers over 24 years of age . For drivers under 24 years old, the limit is 0.00% . Penalties for driving under the influence are strict and can include heavy fines, license suspension, or imprisonment. Drivers must stop for pedestrians at marked crosswalks, as pedestrians always have the right of way.

In urban areas, pay attention to parking zones marked by different colors: blue zones indicate paid parking, while yellow zones are reserved for specific uses (like deliveries or disabled parking).

While fuel stations are readily available in cities and along highways, they may be less frequent in remote or rural areas. It is advisable to fill up your tank when traveling to less-populated regions.

Croatia has a network of toll roads ( autoceste ) that connect major cities and regions. Tolls can be paid in cash, by credit card, or through the ENC electronic toll collection system.

• How to reach: From Zagreb, take the E65 highway south and then follow the signs for Plitvice Lakes via D1. The journey takes approximately 2 hours (around 130 km). There is ample parking at the park entrance, though it can fill up quickly during peak tourist season, so arriving early is advisable.

2. Diocletian’s Palace, Split

Diocletian’s Palace is one of the most well-preserved Roman monuments in the world. This sprawling palace complex forms the heart of Split's old town, featuring ancient ruins, narrow alleyways, shops, and cafes.

• How to reach: From Split Airport, it's a 30-minute drive (around 25 km) via the D8 road. Follow the signs to Split city center and head towards the waterfront where several paid parking options are available near the old town.

3. Dubrovnik Old Town

Known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic," Dubrovnik's Old Town is famous for its medieval walls, red-tiled roofs, and stunning views of the Adriatic Sea. Highlights include the city walls, Rector's Palace, and Stradun street.

• How to reach: From Dubrovnik Airport, take the D8 coastal road north for about 20 km, approximately a 30-minute drive. There are several parking garages outside the Old Town, such as the public parking lot at Ilijina Glavica, from where you can walk to the city walls.

4. Krka National Park

Krka National Park is known for its waterfalls, especially Skradinski Buk, a massive, multi-tiered waterfall. The park also offers swimming areas, boat tours, and trails for walking or cycling.

• How to reach: From Split, take the E65 highway north for about 1.5 hours (around 85 km). Follow the signs to the park's main entrance at Skradin, where there is parking available. From there, you can take a boat ride into the park or walk to the waterfalls.

5. Pula Arena

The Pula Arena is one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world and is still used for concerts and events. It’s a must-visit for history buffs interested in Roman architecture.

• How to reach: From Rijeka, drive south along the A8 highway for about 1.5 hours (around 105 km). Once in Pula, follow signs to the city center where parking is available near the amphitheater, especially in the nearby car parks like Karolina and Riva.

6. Zlatni Rat Beach, Brač Island

Zlatni Rat is one of Croatia’s most iconic beaches, famous for its unique shape that changes with the tide and wind. It’s located on Brač Island, offering crystal-clear waters and a great spot for swimming, windsurfing, and sunbathing.

• How to reach: Drive to Split or Makarska and take the car ferry to Brač Island (about 1 hour). Once on Brač, drive to Bol, where Zlatni Rat Beach is located. Parking is available close to the beach, but it can get crowded, so early arrival is recommended.
