Welcome to the Club! We are excited to introduce our health and wellness amenities that will help make you feel your best. Our professional staff is here to assist and support you as you embark on your mindful and healthy journey.
The Wellness Center comes complete with state-of-the-art equipment, enhanced wellness offerings, and thoughtful member-focused programming - all in a comfortable, welcoming, and spacious setting. The Wellness Center is open year-round and offers everything for your healthy lifestyle. Our members enjoy Technogym cardio and strength training, a full calendar of live group exercise classes, personal training, and a Peloton spin studio. Also, within the Wellness Center, Members can shop for active apparel from Lululemon, Peter Millar, and Johnny-O.
For something transformational, meet us at The Spa. Rejuvenation is always underway courtesy of truly skilled professionals. Health and wellness are a predominant focus at Bay Harbor Yacht Club and the Club’s Wellness Center is at the forefront of leading-edge fitness trends. With over 7,500 square feet of space, the Wellness Center provides members with the tools to achieve their wellness goals in a spacious, comfortable, and welcoming environment.
The facility features the latest in exercise equipment and personal training, such as a six-bike Peloton cycling studio, Technogym touchscreen cardio equipment including Artis treadmills, an immersive exercise studio with live and on-demand classes by certified instructors, a dedicated free weight area, equipment orientations, personal training and fitness evaluations featuring body-composition analysis, teen and youth fitness programs, and wellness workshops, presentations, guest speakers and special events.

Bay Harbor Yacht Club (BHYC) is known as a summer paradise, and the club leadership wanted to provide more amenities for its members to enjoy in the shoulder seasons and during the winter months.
Previously, BHYC had an unstaffed Fitness Room with tightly spaced equipment that was generally unused by most of its members.
To fulfill its mission to serve its members as the social center of the Bay Harbor Community with exceptional services, programs, and facilities, the leadership of BHYC engaged Peacock + Lewis to create a multi-, phased-in master plan of renovations and expansions for clubhouse amenities, emphasizing fitness and wellness for the well-being of current members and to attract and engage future generations of members.

In a typical year, Bay Harbor Yacht Club will take in an average of 28 new members. Since the new Wellness Center was completed in November 2020, 70 new families have joined the club.
A generally unused space in the Assembly Building called the Lang Center, which has excellent views of the marina and Lake Michigan beyond, was transformed into the largest, best-equipped club health and wellness center in Northern Michigan.
Since the remodeling, 40% of the members have become regular users, and the expectation is that percentage will increase to 65% when pandemic restrictions are fully lifted. In addition to this unprecedented member activity for fitness, statistics show that the golf simulator has been booked for 10 hours per day.

From its signature location, Bay Harbor Yacht Club is nestled on the shoreline of Bay Harbor Lake with spectacular views to Lake Michigan. Known as a summer paradise and recently named a Distinguished Emerald Award recipient as one of the finest clubs in the world, this club offers unparalleled amenities such as boating, family recreational activities, and year-round wellness programing for a membership of over 500.
In an effort to fulfill its mission to serve its members as the social center of the Bay Harbor Community with exceptional services, programs, and facilities, the leadership engaged Peacock + Lewis in master planning design which led to a multi-phased clubhouse renovations and amenities expansion program placing emphasis on ensuring that BHYC amenities, activities, and services continue to remain available to members during the entire construction period.
The stately Clubhouse and adjacent Lange Event Center are the scene of all sorts of activities, from wedding celebrations to holiday festivities. Members are also privy to dine in four outstanding restaurants offering choices of casual to gourmet in an indoor or outdoor setting.
The goal for Bay Harbor Yacht Club was to provide for the long-term vibrancy, health, and growth of current members as well as to attract and engage future generations of members by continually improving and responding to the lifestyle needs of its community.
