My husband and i had our reception here on August 8, 2011. I was absolutely wonderful. The building itself was immaculate with hanging fixtures and embellished ceilings. the dance floor was massive which is really good for big groups like my crazy family! The establishment has a full service bar all night where the drinks were served all night free of charge. The DJ was wonderful and was really good about following people's requests while staying appropriate for the young ones in the room. The was a beautiful view of the marina from both the warm comfort of the hall as well as outside when you go out to catch some fresh air. The staff was very friendly and really made it a special event for my husband and me. Everyone after the wedding kept telling us that we "had the most fun wedding they had ever been to." Which i thought was a huge compliment which couldn't have been achieved without such a wonderful reception venue. If you're looking for a place that can mix a fabulously high-energy atmosphere with one that also breathes refinement and class, The Marina Del Rey Yacht Club is for you!

Was here for an event and had snacks in the bar area which is next to the dining room. They had shrimp tacos, mahi mahi tacos, quesadilla, and other snacks. Those are the three we had and the tacos were especially good. They came with a jalapeno slaw which gave it a nice flavor. You order at the bar and they will bring you your meal. The dining room looks nice with captain's chairs at the tables. Tables can be grouped together for a larger group and there are some outside more casual tables on the deck.
Good food, great atmosphere and a beautiful view of the bay. I had the porterhouse steak cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The staff was very attentive and they know their menu.
This was a great place to go for drinks and dinner........great value. We went on a reciprocal membership as we are members at another club. It was a Sunday so usually that is a not so good food night. They had a pasta bar that was amazing! Wine was good. We could see the club was a full service for the yachtsman. We are jealous, our club is not as nice.
