Disney Yacht Club from across the water

Dining at the Disney Yacht Club is the ideal blend of upscale and convenient, with plenty of options. Fitting with the feel of the resort, the dining locations have that county club vibe, even the quick service spots. All the while, the food is high quality and delicious!

The Disney Yacht Club also shares a few of our favorite dining locations with its sister, the Disney Beach Club . Get the best of both worlds with dining at this resort, Yacht Club providing class and Beach Club providing fun.

The galley is always open – disney resorts room service.

Enjoy a meal in the quiet and privacy of your own room with the Disney Resorts Room Service, excellent food options delivered right to your door. Just press “Dining Options” on your in-room phone, place an order, and the food comes to you.

At the Yacht Club, you’ll find typical Disney food options along with some nautical favorites, fitting with the theme of the resort. A delicious lobster and corn chowder or yummy local baked fish are perfect for seafood-lovers, or splurge on a fabulous Maine lobster roll. If you prefer landlubber cuisine, a brick lemon-herb chicken or a bacon cheeseburger will match your tastes. Buffalo wings and fries are always a good choice too if you need something quick and simple. Kids have plenty of their favorite options as well, like chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers.

There are also some awesome dessert options on the menu! If you missed the chance to hit Beaches & Cream, you can order ice cream up to your room. You can even get an entire cake to share, which is nice for a special occasion.

An 18% gratuity, $5.00 delivery charge and 6.5% sales tax will apply to all delivery orders.

The Market at Ale & Compass

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, The Market at Ale & Compass is the main quick service dining option at the Disney Yacht Club. Simply referred to as The Market , you can get a fast and filling meal any time of the day, and take a few minutes to peruse the souvenirs in the adjoining shop.

Especially if you’re in a hurry, The Market is a great place to take advantage of Mobile Order . This awesome service allows you to use the My Disney Experience app to order ahead at quick service locations. That means your food will be ready when you arrive! Pick up your food as you walk in, and head right back out, or stay and enjoy your meal. Either way, it will save you the time of waiting for the food to be prepared.

The Market at Ale & Compass

One of our go-to items at any quick service location is the Breakfast Bowl, with scrambled eggs, a Mickey waffle, bacon, and potato barrels (tater tots). I like to get these sorts of combo meals because they are easy to split, and definitely filling. A top tip is to avoid overeating, especially at breakfast, so splitting this meal is ideal. Also available, try different breakfast sandwiches and a healthier egg-white wrap if you want something of your own. Plain Mickey waffles are always a delicious option!

Snacks are well stocked at The Market, so pick up fruit, yogurt, or milk and cereal if you like to breakfast light. Plenty of yummy treats await you at the bakery as well, the chocolate-hazelnut croissant being one of my breakfast favorites.

Don’t forget to fill your mug with coffee, juice, tea, or milk!

Lunch and Dinner

For these times, a variety of hot or cold sandwiches and salads make for nice, light meals. The Cuban sandwich is one of the most popular hot items, with ham, slow-roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard all on a hoagie roll served with house-made chips. You can also grab a foot-long chili-cheese hotdog, similar to the gourmet hotdogs served at the Beach Club Marketplace.

Cold sandwiches are great to grab in the morning to take to the parks, or to bring out to eat by the pool. You could even pick one up before you leave, giving you a portable lunch if you’re driving home. Among these are the roast beef sandwich, slices of roast beef topped with horseradish cream, caramelized onions, and arugula all on multigrain bread. Vegetarians will love the roasted vegetable sandwich with roasted Portobello mushrooms, zucchini, red bell peppers, and cauliflower dressed with roasted red pepper hummus, topped with slices of fresh tomatoes and grilled onion served on herb Focaccia bread. Both sandwiches come with house-made chips.

Other Options

Kids have the additional options of grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, a ham sandwich, and an Uncrustable. The children’s meals come with a choice of sides and beverage, making these items a great deal.

The bakery is open all day, so don’t forget to snag something sweet! Sticky buns, chocolate twists, and brownies are all amazing. The bakery also has seasonal cupcakes , each with their own amazing flavor profile and fun decoration!

In the evening, stop by The Market for a variety of beer and wines, which you can enjoy there or take back to your room. If you want something to go, I suggest getting a bottle of wine rather than wine by the glass. You’ll have it for your whole trip, and get more value for your dollar.

There are two main lounges at the Disney Yacht Club – the Ale & Compass Lounge and the Crew’s Cup Lounge. Both are excellent places to relax in the evening, and enjoy a delicious beverage. These are both full bars, so only overage guests are permitted.

The Ale & Compass Lounge

Grab a drink while you wait for your Ale & Compass reservation, or simply lounge in the relaxed atmosphere. The Ale & Compass Lounge is ideal for a relaxing evening or quick bite, all while enjoying a refreshing drink. Opening at 4:00pm and staying open until 10:00pm, this lounge is a great place for an evening hangout.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Monica Glenn (@ftjtravelbymonica)

Healthy-sized appetizers comprise the food options, giving you filling snacks or lighter meals, depending on your plans. Items like the Parker House rolls with assorted spreads – bacon jam, pub cheese, and citrus butter – are great if you just want something to nibble while you drink. Flatbreads and a bacon cheeseburger are perfect for dinner in the lounge, both options are full sized meals.

In addition to the full-bar offerings, the Ale & Compass Lounge has several original cocktails. A twist on a class, the Maple Old Fashioned will give you that New England feeling. Made with Jim Beam Black Extra-aged Bourbon, maple syrup, orange juice, and angostura bitters, this is a great way to change up your regular. For those in a spicy mood, try the Spicy Pomegranate Margarita. Mix Tequila, Ancho Reyes Chile liqueur, pomegranate juice, and simple syrup together to create a zesty and delicious cocktail! A squirt of fresh lime juice on the top adds a bit of tang and cuts the heat.

Enjoy nonalcoholic mixers as well, like a grapefruit spritzer and the No-Kick Mule, just with ginger beer and lime.

Crew’s Cup Lounge

Outside the Yachtsman Steakhouse, the Crew’s Cup Lounge is a nice alternative if you can’t get a reservation at the steakhouse. The Crew’s Cup is also a good place for one of those appetizer as dinner nights, when you’re up to your ears in delicious (but rich!) Disney food.

On the appetizer menu, share a savory and delightful charcuterie and cheese board, coming with different accompaniments depending on the season. For something a little more substantial, the prime rib sliders are perfect, topped with horseradish cream and served on house-made onion rolls. Jumbo shrimp cocktail are always a great option as well, a light snack with just enough protein to get you to your next meal. Have the shrimp with the Yachtsman signature bread to round out a meal.

Crew’s Cup also offers full entrees, so you can add this to your dinner spot list. After 5:00pm, you can get an amazing ten-ounce prime rib, served with mashed potatoes and horseradish cream. For something a little different, try the Twice-fried Green Circle Chicken. Smoked Feta spoon bread and chicken croquettes come with pickled rhubarb and fiddlehead ferns, an interesting take on fried chicken.

You’ll come for the food, but stay for the drinks! Along with an extensive beer, wine, and bourbon selection, Crew’s Cup offers a large variety of signature cocktails. Literally Walk the Plank with an amazing blend of rye whiskey, orange juice, almond liqueur, and lemon juice garnished with Maraschino cherries. Combine the elements of country and tropical vacation with a Whiskey Breeze – Jim Beam Black Extra-aged Bourbon, Cointreau, and lime juice shaken with guava and mango for that aloha vibe. You could also choose to drink your dessert with the Godiva Chocolate Martini. A divine concoction, this martini mixes Godiva chocolate liqueur, Stoli Vanil vodka, Bols White Crème de Cacao, and Frangelico. This sweet treat will warm you from the inside out!

Available for breakfast and dinner, the Ale & Compass Restaurant is a great option for a nice family meal. Especially if you’re looking for a quality table service breakfast, you have to try out the Ale & Compass!

Think breakfast favorites, with an upgrade. The American Breakfast has the right balance of breakfast foods – two eggs any-style, breakfast potatoes, and choice of breakfast meats. Eggs benedict get the added decadence of smoked pork loin, along with herbs and spices in the hollandaise sauce.

While these dishes are amazing, the quick bread breakfast items change the game. No plain French toast here, but instead, we see salted-caramel apple French toast. Two massive pieces of French toast, sliced horizontally, and stuffed with delicious caramel apples. A buttery brown sugar crumble and salted-caramel drizzle tops the slices, completing the picture. However, that isn’t the end. The Dark Chocolate Waffles are to die for! Three thick, circular waffles hold a dried cherry compote, on top of which sits huge dollops of espresso-mascarpone cream, finished with chocolate shavings. It’s a good thing these richly incredible waffles come with a side of breakfast meat to cut through the sweet deliciousness!

Kid’s Meals

For your kiddos, they can get their favorites Mickey waffles or blueberry pancakes if in the mood for something sweet. Scrambled eggs and a mini-breakfast sandwich are great options if they want a savory dish instead.

As always, I recommend splitting an adult meal between two kids. Especially if they want to try something like the chocolate waffles or the French toast, the split is perfect. It actually works out to be cheaper than a kid’s meal!

Ale & Compass does specialty brunches for Easter and Mother’s Day, a great way to treat yourself or Mom! Going to be dining at the Disney Yacht Club during these holidays? You might want to consider an Ale & Compass brunch.

A great mix of surf and turf, Ale & Compass has a dinner menu that will please everyone in your group. To start your meal, try the amazing lobster and corn chowder or roasted garlic shrimp, both coming with house-made items to dip. Smaller plates are available in the form of salads and flatbreads, both meat and vegetables options to fit all dietary needs.

Of the main plates, our favorites would have to be the New England Seafood Pot Pie, braised short ribs, and the brick lemon chicken. For the potpie, it is stuffed full of a plethora of different seafood – shrimp, scallops, lump crab, and the catch of the day. Mixed in are pearl onions, peas, and potatoes, all coated in a creamy seafood cream sauce. The flaky pastry on the outside completes this delectable dish. The short ribs are fall-apart tender, accompanied by a flavorful roasted vegetable mash and barbecue demi sauce for dipping. Alongside the lemon chicken, you’ll love the duck fat-roasted potatoes and veggie sauté. Add truffle fries with a house-made shallot mayo for extra decadence!

If that weren’t enough, the three dessert options will send you right over the edge. Completely plant-based, the mango torte layers mango mousse and spiced lemon pound cake, covered with fresh berries and a raspberry sauce. You could also try the warm apple cobbler served with frozen vanilla custard, or a rich flourless chocolate cake covered in chocolate ganache and offset by a coffee Chantilly cream. Basically, if you’re not rolling out of Ale & Compass, something went wrong with your meal!

Kids have the ability to build their own meals, choosing from a selection of main dishes and sides. Kids that are more adventurous might like the pasta Bolognese or catch of the day, while a cheeseburger is there to save the day for pickier eaters. Side options include sautéed broccolini, macaroni & cheese, corn, and red potatoes, and kid approved! The side menu includes two dessert options – mini ice cream sandwiches and honey-marshmallow s’mores. Kids can choose to get one savory side and one sweet, working their dessert into the price of their meal.

Open only for dinner, the Yachtsman Steakhouse is the signature dining experience at the Disney Yacht Club. Designed to be elegant, upscale, and a true yacht-country club experience, this steakhouse has high quality dishes and a fabulous atmosphere. Yachtsman Steakhouse even has a dress code, heightening the fancy feel of the restaurant.

I recommend making this a date night or adults-only meal. Of course, you can bring your kids, but they need to adhere to the dress code as well. Between that and the sophisticated style of the place, you need to decide if this is the best place to bring your kids.

First Course

Yes, they even refer to the stages of the meal as courses!

First course items include steakhouse staples like a wedge salad, Caesar salad, and French onion soup, all of which are perfect ways to start your evening. If you want to try something a little different, consider the Ahi tuna tartare with a poke vinaigrette and wasabi, or the creamy lobster bisque. You could also get a charcuterie or cheese board to share if you don’t want to fill up before the main meal.

Chef’s Signature Offerings

These three dishes come recommended by the Yachtsman’s chef, and designed to be truly delicious experience. The first is the Chilled Captain’s Tower, a combination of jumbo shrimp, mussels, oyster shooters, scallop ceviche, and charred octopus salad. As the name suggests, the tower is served cold, and is ideal for the true seafood lover. If you prefer your seafood hot, I recommend you try one of the Land and Sea entrees instead.

Both of the other signatures dishes are made to share between two people. The first is a 28-oz prime porterhouse steak, 21-Day dry-aged, with accompaniments of bone marrow, green onion brioche bread, garlic butter, and your choice of two sides. Second is the Chilled Admiral’s Tower, and upgraded version from the Captain’s Tower. In addition to the Captain’s Tower seafood, the Admiral’s Tower also has Maine lobster, snow crab, and tuna tartare. Again, this item is served cold.

Butcher’s Cuts

It is a steakhouse after all, and these steaks are the main event. Filet mignon, prime rib, rib-eye, and New York strip all come cooked to order, with their own incredible seasonings and sauces to bring out the flavor of the meat. Of these, the filet mignon is my personal pick, covered in a cognac-truffle butter that adds to the unctuous nature of the steak.

Each steak comes with your selection of mashed potatoes, potato-leek gratin, sweet potato casserole, house-made French fries, or broccolini. You can also choose to add to your meal one of the signature Steakhouse Sides – truffle macaroni & cheese, creamed spinach, loaded hasselback potato, house-made truffle fries, or braised mushrooms. I suggest getting the broccolini with your meal (you’ll be glad for a vegetable!) and then adding one of the richer steakhouse sides.

Yachtsman Steakhouse offers further enhancements if you want to add to the luxurious nature of your meal. Get your steak Oscar-style, with asparagus, lump crab meat, and a rich béarnaise sauce. You can also add a half lobster, bone marrow, or thick-cut bacon for a little extra richness.

Land and Sea Entrees

Here’s where the hot, succulent seafood pairs with the delicious steakhouse offerings. Whole Maine lobster and Georges Bank Scallops are paired with incredible sauces and accompaniments to bring out their delicate flavors. If you want something unique, you might enjoy the Cervena Elk from the land side, with a parsnip puree and blueberry sauce.

You can also add the bone marrow or half a lobster to the items, or get them Oscar-style.

Yachtsman has several amazing desserts, but my picks would be the chocolate lava cake and the banana bread pudding. Using high quality chocolate, this lava cake is unlike any you’ve ever had. In addition the cake itself, it comes with a refreshing coconut ice cream to cut through the richness and is topping with a raspberry-Chambord Sauce and gingersnap crumbs.

The banana bread pudding is warm, comforting, and delicious. Caramelized bananas have the right touch of sweetness, as does the caramel rum sauce on top. A side of butter pecan ice cream ties the whole dessert together.

Disney Yacht and Beach Club Dining

While two separate resorts, the Disney Yacht Club shares a few dining locations with the Disney Beach Club. Of course, if you’re staying at either, it is easy to pop over to the other resort to enjoy the dining options. After all, the resorts share a pool area, they’re that close together!

However, two dining spots are right in the middle of the Disney Yacht & Beach Club that you’ll want to check out!

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill

Out by the pool, Hurricane Hanna’s is the main pool bar and eatery for Stormalong Bay. This is a great place for you to get a poolside lunch or refreshing beverage, especially if you don’t want to have to trek back to your room. Don’t let the fact that this is a pool bar fool you, Hurricane Hanna’s has some delicious options!

Much like other pool bars, Hurricane Hanna’s has lighter fare, which is what you want out of a meal by the pool. Grab a cool Greek or Caesar salad, perfect for a hot day and a light lunch. If you want to make your salad a bit more substantial, you can add chicken for that extra protein. The rest of the savory items are sandwiches, again ideal for poolside eating. The Italian Focaccia and turkey and Swiss sandwiches are both delicious, but our favorite is the seafood roll. Fresh seafood comes tossed in a citrusy mayo dressing, with just the right amount of zing. All three sandwiches come with house-made chips, which gives just the right touch to the meal.

What would a bar be without amazing drinks! Hurricane Hanna’s has two specialty cocktails you’re going to love – the Category 5 and Storm Chaser. Category 5 has that pirate feel that will have you singing Yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate’s life for me! With Captain Morgan spiced rum, crème de banana, peach schnapps, you’ll be feeling the island vibes in no time; add in a mix of orange and pineapple juices and a splash of grenadine to balance out the drink. If that wasn’t enough, the Category 5 also comes with a float of Gosling’s 151 Rum.

Meanwhile, the Storm Chaser is made with vodka, Bacardi superior rum, blue curacao, and sweet-and sour. A splash of Sprite brings a touch of sweetness and effervesce for a tropical buzz. Between these drinks and the beaches of Stormalong Bay, you’ll forget you’re not on a cruise !

Aside from these drinks, enjoy plenty of other cocktails on the rocks or frozen, as well as a wide variety of beer and wines. We recommend the Sunshine Margarita, a Disney poolside staple, or the Frosé, a frozen concoction of rosé mixed with vodka. Both are refreshing, and perfect for a sunny day by the pool.

For the kids and nondrinkers in your group, there are sweet and cool smoothie options as well as some virgin version of your favorites.

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember, and it is still one of my favorite places to visit. I can’t tell you how many fond memories I have of sitting out in front of the quick service window, waiting for our No Way José to appear. And then watching it disappear in a matter of minutes! Our family is decided ice-cream lovers, and Beaches & Cream never disappoints.

Beaches & Cream opens every day at 11:30am, providing a place to get a fun and delicious diner meal for lunch or dinner. You can always skip straight to dessert…many people do! Beaches & Cream is also open until 9:00pm, making it a great place to stop after a day at Epcot or on a walk around the boardwalk. This is usually when we stop by, after touring through the other resorts in the area or playing a round of mini-golf. It’s a great way to finish an evening!

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Amanda Smolko (@a_bookish_baker)

Beaches & Cream has a reputation for fantastic and fanciful desserts, but that’s not all there is to this location. The menu features delicious savory foods as well, combining diner favorites with a touch of table service sophistication. A nostalgic, 1950s diner feel makes this bright and fun location just a great place to hang out. Especially with the recent remodel, the larger space and new décor adds something to the atmosphere.

Diner Delights

Start with a classic cheeseburger, grilled cheese, or French dip sandwich. You could also go for two of the most popular items, the cheddar bacon-ranch chicken sandwich or house-made Reuben. It wouldn’t be a diner if you couldn’t get French fries or onion rings on the side, but Beaches & Cream added tater tots to their menu with the reopening! All your favorite loaded fry options now come in tot form, so if you’re a tot lover, you have to check these out.

Even though they are not listed on the menu right now, in the past Beaches & Cream has had a variety of salads to balance out the sandwich options, as well as a few seafood dishes. What’s great about Disney dining is that they are always rotating your options to keep things fresh, so be on the lookout for new additions!

You can always swing by the pickup window and take your lunch back to the pool, or enjoy your meal at the limited outdoor seating. However, if you definitely want to sit inside for the whole experience, a reservation is a must. Beaches & Cream is quite popular!

Soda Shop Marvels

Alright Mom, I had my dinner, now can I have dessert?

These incredible sweet treats will have you feeling like a kid again, and cause the actual kids in your group to go bananas!

To begin, you can get a classic strawberry shortcake or brownie a la mode. While both are delicious, these items are definitely elsewhere around Disney World , so we suggest going for one of the unique options that makes Beaches & Cream special. You’ll find these delicious delights on the Sundaes on the Beach section of the menu, and you’re going to be overwhelmed by your choices!

As I mentioned before, we are partial to the No Way José, an out of this world peanut butter and hot fudge masterpiece that features both chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Not enough? How about some chocolate pieces and whipped cream on top? Perfect.

The Fudge Mud Slide and Snickers Sundae are both similar to the No Way José, with three scoops of ice cream each, covered in chocolate, and topped with cookie pieces and Snickers bars respectively. You can also go for classics like a banana split or three-scoop sundae, giving you the chance to build your own delicious dessert

Even with all these other choices, the real star of this show is the infamous Kitchen Sink . Getting its name from the phrase “everything but the kitchen sink,” you won’t believe it until you see it. With eight scoops of ice cream, all the toppings in the store , huge chunks of cake, and an entire can of whipped cream , this sundae is no joke. The menu says that it serves four, but it really feeds more like six or eight. Recently, Beaches & Cream has added a Chocolate Lovers and Neapolitan option as well, which focuses more on these flavors.

Grabbing something to go? You can get a plain scoop of hand-dipped ice cream on cone or in a cup, or slurp up a rich milkshake. These are great if you’re planning to eat or drink as you walk, while meeting the need for a sweet treat.

No matter what dining option you choose at the Disney Yacht Club, you’re going to leave satisfied…and wanting to come back for more!

Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Restaurants Guide (By Resorts Gal)

If you’re planning to stay at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club, you’ll want to be aware of dining options before your visit. It’s no secret that the sister resorts are a Resorts Gal favorite. But we do find fault with them when it comes to one thing—quick service restaurants. The fast-casual options are severely lacking at both hotels and in the entire Epcot Resorts area.

Below, we’ll discuss the restaurants at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club, including hours of operation, menus, and what to expect. Some dining options might not be so obvious, so we’ll share a few tips for where to get a meal that might surprise you. Even with the lack of quick service options, I sincerely believe you can do well for breakfast and most other meals without always needing a dining reservation at a table service restaurant.

The Beach Club Marketplace is the primary quick-service restaurant on the Beach Club side of the resort. It’s located off the resort’s lobby. Part of the Marketplace is the Beach Club’s gift shop . The other half is a counter-service restaurant with grab-and-go items and a beverage station.

  • Location: Beach Club Lobby
  • Hours:  7:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • Disney:   Menu with Prices

For breakfast, you can pick up a couple of entrees like breakfast sandwiches, a Bounty Platter (bacon, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, and a biscuit), and Mickey waffles. Lunch and dinner items are even more limited. At the time of this update, those items include a pulled pork sandwich, a foot-long all-beef hot dog, a meatball sub, and a pepperoni flatbread. A roasted half-chicken dinner is available after 5:00 p.m. A few kids’ meal options are available, including a ham or turkey sandwich. If you want chicken nuggets, you’ll need to pick them up at Hurricane Hanna’s, the poolside quick-service.

Word of warning: if you preview the online menu or the one in the My Disney Experience app, you’ll see a long list of sandwich options. You can even order them via Disney’s mobile order service. I think it’s important to point out that those sandwiches are premade and sold in the grab-and-go section. So you cannot customize them, and they are not freshly prepared. For some, this might not be a big deal. Maybe it’s just me, but when I’m staying in a $ 500.00-per-night or more hotel, I prefer to have something that hasn’t been sitting around getting soggy in a refrigerator case all day.

If you are a chocolate lover, you’ll want to try the plant-based chocolate brownie with icing. A cast member shared that it was a guest favorite, so I tried it on a previous visit. It was delicious!

Unfortunately, the Marketplace does not have a formal indoor seating area. However, you can enjoy your meal in the nearby Solarium. Additionally, a separate covered outdoor patio with tables and chairs is available across the walkway. For more specifics about this location, we have an entire review of Disney’s Beach Club Marketplace . It includes photos of everything you can expect at this quick service.

Disney Beach Club Restaurant seating area

The Market at Ale and Compass is almost identical to Beach Club Marketplace. It is down a hall, a few steps from the Yacht Club’s lobby. This location offers mainly grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, and pastries. However, a few made-to-order selections are available.

  • Location:  Yacht Club Lobby

The Market serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Limited seating is available inside.

For breakfast, there are sandwiches, a breakfast bowl (scrambled eggs, a Mickey waffle, potato barrels, bacon, and a biscuit), Mickey waffles, and oatmeal. Lunch and dinner items include premade cold sandwiches, premade salads, a grilled chicken panini, a Cuban sandwich, and a ham and cheese sandwich. Kids’ meals include a ham sandwich, turkey sandwich, mac and cheese, or grilled cheese.

The Market has a relatively extensive list of specialty coffee drinks, making it an excellent stop for a caffeinated beverage. If you’re staying at the Beach Club and prefer an upgraded coffee, you’ll probably want to walk to The Market.

Rapid Fill mugs are available at Beach Club Marketplace and The Market at Ale and Compass. Guests can refill them at any resort’s quick service with a refillable beverage station for the length of their stay. An additional beverage refill station is available at Hurricane Hanna’s. Our guide listed below details the beverage options at each of the resorts if you want to learn more.

Tip : You can refill mugs at any resort quick service. So, if you take the Skyliner to Disney’s Riviera to enjoy a meal at Primo Piatto (recommended), bring your mug so you don’t have to purchase a beverage.

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill is a quick-service dining location at Stormalong Bay . For those unfamiliar, Stormalong Bay is the pool area shared between the resorts. It’s so large that it has its own name.

  • Location:  Stormalong Bay (Feature Pool)
  • Hours:  11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. (sometimes 10:00 p.m.)

This poolside bar and lounge is outside the pool area between Stormalong Bay and Crescent Lake, so you don’t have to be a resort guest to dine here. We enjoy stopping in for a burger and onion rings and enjoying the view while we dine.

Hurricane Hanna’s menu consists of items like burgers, chicken nuggets, and salads. Sometimes, they have frozen grapes, which make for an excellent treat at the pool. They have a separate walk-up bar with a few specialty drinks and Disney’s standard cocktail menu.

Seating at Hurricane Hanna’s is available outside of the pool area. However, if you’re a resort guest enjoying the pool, a server is usually available to take your order during the busier portions of the day.

On a past visit, we rented a cabana at Stormalong Bay and ordered lunch from the poolside quick service. I got the grilled chicken sandwich.

Over the years, we’ve often ordered food from Hurricane Hanna’s to take back to the room. This spot has always been our go-to location for allergy-friendly chicken nuggets when staying at the resort.

Between Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club, you’ll find three lounges. I use the word lounge loosely because they are all excellent locations to enjoy dinner without a dining reservation. We’ve had dinner at all three locations and consider each a bit of a hidden gem. First, we’ll discuss Ale and Compass Lounge, the primary lounge off the Yacht Club’s lobby.

  • Hours:  12:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • Food Service: 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

The lounge menu offers several items from Ale and Compass Restaurant. Those items include hearth-oven flatbreads, Parker House rolls with spreads, roasted Buffalo-style cauliflower, blue crab bisque, roasted garlic shrimp, and the bacon and Vermont cheddar burger.

Crew’s Cup Lounge

Crew’s Cup Lounge is adjacent to Yachtsman Steakhouse. It appears to be a bit of a hole in the wall, but once you spend a few moments inside, you’ll be glad you decided to stop. It’s one of the friendliest places on the property.

  • Location:  Next to Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club)
  • Hours:  4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Disney's Yacht Club Restaurants Crew's Cup

Crew’s Cup has a menu with a few offerings from Yachtsman Steakhouse. A menu is posted outside the entrance. We eat here fairly often and have ordered prime rib and a New York Strip off Yachtsman’s menu. We always order the onion rolls, a delicious bread service from the neighboring table service. When we have a younger member in our party, they also provide us with a kids’ menu.

As of this update, the prime rib sliders have returned to the menu at Crew’s Cup. They are one of our all-time favorite meals at Walt Disney World. We’ve also enjoyed the lobster bisque, Caesar salad, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and a charcuterie board.

Martha’s Vineyard is a lounge on the Beach Club side of the resort. This lounge offers a tasty New England Clam Chowder, several appetizers, and the option to order Snow Crab Legs by the pound.

  • Location: Next to Cape May Cafe (Beach Club)
  • Hours:  4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

I often stop here on cooler evenings for a bowl of chowder. The chowder is delicious and comes with a side of cornbread. You can also order a few items that are prepared next door at Cape May Cafe.

an order of clam chowder with cornbread from a restaurant at Disney's Beach Club

Ale and Compass is a restaurant we frequent year-round. If you were to look at our receipts from our last stay, you’d see one line item after another that said, “Ale & Compass.” This is also our loophole location for dining at the resorts. Yes, it’s a table-service restaurant, but they offer mobile ordering.

  • Hours:  7:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.*

*Ale and Compass serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is open most of the day but closes around 2:00 p.m. and reopens at 5:00 p.m. for dinner service.

We enjoy having breakfast inside the restaurant from time to time. This location has a popular breakfast buffet that includes an entree for a reasonable price. One of our favorite entrees, the chocolate waffles, is every bit as delicious as it looks. They are topped with mascarpone, cherries, and chocolate shavings.

chocolate waffles with bacon from Ale and Compass

We have also enjoyed many other menu items for lunch and dinner at Ale and Compass. But our favorite thing to do when staying at the hotel is to order takeout and enjoy it at the pool.

Since the feature pool opens at 10:00 a.m., we usually order breakfast at 9:30 a.m. each day of our stay. Our order was typically ready by 9:50 a.m. So I would pick it up and get in line to rope drop the pool. (It’s a very popular pool.) On our last week-long vacation, we enjoyed breakfast at the Stormalong Bay Pool each day of our stay. Honestly, it was our favorite part of the trip!

breakfast at Disney's Yacht Club

A few mornings, I had blueberry pancakes. Oh, and the best part? This item below is a kids’ meal other than the coffee. For a reasonable price, you receive two pancakes and two sides. I chose roasted sweet potatoes and sausage.

I’ve also enjoyed a cheeseburger with fries and broccolini at the pool. This was another mobile order kids’ meal from Ale and Compass.

Related: Our Favorite To-Go Orders from Ale and Compass

I cannot stress enough how much we love this location for table-service dining and to-go orders. It is so simple to order your food and pick it up. If you don’t want to dine at the pool, you can find a seat in the neighboring lounge or return to your room. And if you don’t want to pay a table service price, mobile order a kids’ meal. It will be a better quality than what’s available at the quick service. (However, note that kids’ meals are not an option for adults when dining inside the restaurant.)

Most everyone planning a stay at either Disney’s Beach or Yacht Club will want to secure a reservation for Beaches and Cream Soda Shop. This diner-style restaurant is located directly behind Stormalong Bay.

  • Location:  Behind the Stormalong Bay (By the Arcade)

Beaches and Cream serves burgers, fries, grilled cheese, and onion rings. They also have an array of popular sundaes, milkshakes, and banana splits for dessert.

This restaurant takes walk-ups based on availability. To ensure a table, you will want to make reservations. Due to the restaurant’s popularity, reservations are sometimes difficult to obtain.

However, if you’re only going for ice cream or would like a treat to enjoy by the pool, you’re in luck! Beaches and Cream has a walk-up window that only serves ice cream. You can get pretty much everything except the kitchen sink! Well, actually, you can get the kitchen sink. Just make sure you have someone(s) to help you.

Here is the menu description for the Kitchen Sink: Scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip topped with Hot Fudge, Peanut Butter, SNICKERS® pieces, Fresh-baked Brownie, and smothered in every additional topping we have. Also available are Chocolate Lovers or Neapolitan. (Serves Four)

  • Dinner Hours: 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a signature dining establishment on the Yacht Club side of the resort. It’s so good that it’s included in our list of the best signature dining options at Disney World .

  • Location:  Next to Crew’s Cup (Yacht Club)
  • Hours:  5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Like its name, the steakhouse serves a variety of quality aged in-house meats. The restaurant’s signature steak is the New York Strip. So far, we’ve tried the filet mignon, ribeye, and prime rib. All were delicious, but the ribeye with blue cheese butter was more than memorable.

Restaurants near Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club

Lastly, we’ll discuss a few dining options near the Beach and Yacht Club. As you probably know, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot are within walking distance of the resorts. So you’ll want to plan some meals when you visit those parks.

Disney’s Boardwalk and the Swan and Dolphin Hotels are also within walking distance. This means you’ll find plenty of table-service dining options within the area. However, quick-service locations are lacking in the entire Epcot Resorts Area .

Dining options at Disney’s Boardwalk include Trattoria al Forno and Flying Fish. You might also get a sandwich or treat at the Boardwalk Deli . The Cake Bake Shop might also be worth your consideration.

a scenic view of Crescent Lake and Disney's Boardwalk from the Yacht and Beach Club

Disney’s Swan and Dolphin has multiple signature dining options: Il Mulino, Todd English’s Blue Zoo, and Shula’s Steakhouse. Shula’s is one of the best meals we’ve had! If you’re looking for something more casual, try The Fountain, located on the Dolphin’s first floor. This restaurant is similar to Beaches and Cream and offers diner-style menu items.

And if you prefer to eat outside, the Cabana Bar and Beach Club Grill is by the pool. This location takes walk-ups, and they have several tasty menu options. Additionally, Rosa Mexicano is the resort’s newest restaurant.

Final Thoughts on Dining at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club

When it comes to restaurants, you’ll find plenty of options between Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club. Remember that mobile ordering from Ale and Compass is your friend, and the lounges by far beat the quick-service restaurant options.

As far as staying at the resorts, they are pretty hard to beat. While I often complain about the lack of places to enjoy a casual meal in this area, it’s usually our only issue. So, I don’t necessarily mean to put a damper on things by complaining. But it’s something you’ll want to be aware of going into your stay. Hi, I'm Amber the owner of Resorts Gal . We have stayed at every single Disney Resort Hotel. Our philosophy? We believe you can have an incredible time at the resorts without ever setting foot in a theme park. We visit the resorts and parks regularly and would love for you to follow along!

Great review! We’ve been to many of the restaurants mentioned and it’s funny because it was the Hurricane Hanna’s that surprised us the most. My sister and I ate there on a whim and I remember talking about it even days later because I couldn’t believe how good it was for a pool bar…lol

Thank you! We love Hurricane Hanna’s, it’s the saving grace for counter service at the resort.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is Disney’s Best Kept Dining Secret, And Here’s Why (FULL REVIEW)

One of the best-kept dining secrets at Walt Disney World is Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

In fact, this is one of my personal favorite places to dine when I want a nice dinner at Disney.

The beautiful steakhouse is located down a quiet corridor near the pool at the hotel and is worth trying to snag a reservation for.

If you’re thinking about dining at one of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World keep reading to learn everything you need to know, how to snag the best tables, and of course my suggestions about what to order.

What is Yachtsman Steakhouse at Walt Disney World?

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a signature dining restaurant located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. The restaurant is only open for dinner and is known for its incredible steaks , sides, and desserts.

What is the Vibe like inside Yachtsman Steakhouse?

Since the restaurant is only open for dinner the vibe is very adult. This is a great date night spot for couples , or a treat yourself type mean for solo travelers.

How Do I get a reservation at Yachtsman Steakhouse?

The easiest way to get a reservation for Yachtsman Steakhouse is through the My Disney Experience app.

You can also make reservations on the Walt Disney World website or by calling the reservation center at Walt Disney World.

A word of warning though, the latter of the two options is not the most efficient and phone calls to Disney have been taking upwards of two hours just to talk to someone.

If you do see a reservation for the restaurant you should go ahead and book it even if it’s not at your intended dining time, because it’s always easier to modify an existing reservation versus make a new one.

Meals start out with a bread basket filled with savory pull-apart onion rolls and cherry multigrain sourdough rolls.

Bread Service

The bread is served with the restaurant’s signature roasted garlic and salted butter.

Yes, that means you can literally smear pieces of roasted garlic and slather butter all over these delightful breads.

When it comes to starters, I really enjoy the French Onion Soup , which is perfectly rich with plenty of onions, sourdough croutons, and topped with melted gruyère cheese. You definitely have to try the Beef Carpaccio as well.

Entrees and Dessert at the Yachtsman Steakhouse

Entrees obviously mean having a steak , and no matter which one you choose it comes with a sauce or butter, and your choice of side. I always order the 14-ounce roasted prime rib with horseradish cream.

Each entree comes with your choice of accompaniment, with either mashed potatoes, potato-leek gratin, or house-made French fries. I typically choose the gratin or the fries.

When dinner is done, do not leave the restaurant without trying one of the delicious desserts.

The signature dessert at the restaurant is the Yachtsman’s Chocolate Cake, which is made with dark chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, mixed berry curd, peanut butter crunch, and mousse, and serves two.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a lovely option for dining at Walt Disney World, whether you’re traveling alone or going out with friends, or on a date night.

Here are a few tips to ensure your experience at Yachtsman Steakhouse is the best that it can be.

  • Security at the front of the Yacht Club can be very strict about who they let into the parking lot at the hotel.
  • If you don’t have a confirmed dining reservation at the Yachtsman Steakhouse , your better option for dining here will be to take a ride share or take the Disney Skyliner . This is best if you’re staying at one of the resorts that the transportation service goes to and from.
  • I f you’re at EPCOT and want a break from the park and think Yachtsman Steakhouse sounds like a nice place, you’ll want to walk to the back of the park to the International Gateway to get to the Yacht Club and to the restaurant.

  Disney's Yacht Club Resort

Ahoy there, adventurer!

  • Introduction

After fun-filled days in the parks, retreat to this oversized New England beach house for a stay inspired by the nautical charms of the USA’s East Coast.

With two Walt Disney World theme parks within walking distance and a network of other transportation options at your fingertips, it’s easy to see why Disney’s Yacht Club is a sought-after hotel in Walt Disney World. Overlooking Crescent Lake and with the restaurants of Disney’s BoardWalk nearby, this is undoubtedly a prime location. The rooms have a luxurious feel, with hardwood floors and plush furnishings and have a slightly more formal feel than the neighbouring Disney’s Beach Club Resort, with which it shares restaurants and a three-acre water park. Stormalong Bay features a gentle-entry sand-bottom pool, lazy river, and slides. And when everyone’s exhausted from all the fun, a retro ice cream parlour stands by with sugar-laden treats to give everyone a boost.

Why we love Disney's Yacht Club Resort

The Disney parks open 30 minutes early and have extended evening hours just for guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts, like this one.

The transport options to get you to the park are excellent. Catching a boat to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or the Disney Skyliner to EPCOT makes getting there part of the fun. A complimentary bus takes you to and from Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

There are plenty of family activities, from organised games around the pool to toasting marshmallows around a campfire and complimentary Movies Under the Stars.

The vast pool complex is a winner on hot Florida days. It has a sandy beach that gently slopes into the water, slides, and a lazy river, too. You can rent a cabana to make a day of it.

The rooms feel more contemporary than other options in Walt Disney World, with understated Disney theming, an elegantly nautical palette, and hardwood floors. If you opt for a room without club-level benefits, you can choose a resort view or a water view – the rooms are otherwise the same and sleep up to five adults. Upgrading to Club Level Service gives you access to the exclusive Regatta Club with complimentary breakfast, snacks, and refreshments.

Accommodating up to five adults by opting for the two queen beds and a day bed configuration, these rooms have a patio or balcony that overlooks an area of the resort, such as the gardens, rooftop, or car park.

  • air-conditioning
  • balcony or patio
  • coffee maker
  • beverage cooler

Opt for the Water View room for a guaranteed pool or Crescent Lake view – perfect if you want to start or end your day relaxing on your private balcony or patio. Otherwise, it’s the same as a Resort View room.

Sleeps up to four adults. A patio or balcony overlooks the garden, rooftop, or car park. You’ll have complimentary access to the health club and the Regatta Lounge.

  • lounge access

This room has the same layout as a Resort View room, but you’ll have a view across the pool or lake from your patio or balcony.

  • Good to Know

This is a big hotel with a choice of restaurants to match, shared with the neighbouring Disney’s Beach Club Resort. They've thought of everything, from a top steakhouse to market-style cafes, a buffet, a poolside grill, and an ice cream parlour. The market-style venues are handy for stocking up on snacks ahead of days in the parks or grabbing coffee and breakfast to take with you. Within a ten-minute walk around Crescent Lake, there are more dining options at Disney’s BoardWalk and more choices within EPCOT.

Cape May Café This buffet restaurant hosts a character breakfast with Minnie Mouse and friends and opens again in the evening for a seafood buffet.

Beaches & Cream Soda ShopAlongside American staples of burgers and sandwiches for lunch and dinner, this ultra-themed diner serves the best ice cream and desserts.

Beach Club Marketplace Stock up on snacks and coffee before hitting the parks or pick up a quick breakfast or lunch from this café-meets-market venue.

Martha’s Vineyard This relaxed New England-style lounge features a bar menu of wings, potato skins, mussels, cheese plates, and a full drinks selection.

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill Pick up refreshments for your pool day from this open-air grill.

Ale & Compass Restaurant Head here for a buffet or a la carte breakfast, sandwiches and burgers for lunch, or a wide-ranging selection of evening meal options.

Ale & Compass Lounge Feel like you’re aboard a luxury yacht in this nautical bar, where you’ll find a varied bar menu alongside savoury snacks.

The Market at Ale & Compass This grab-and-go option is ideal for a quick breakfast or picking up snacks for the day ahead.

Yachtsman Steakhouse Steaks and seafood are cooked in an open kitchen in this formal restaurant.

Crew’s Cup Lounge A cosy bar next to the Yachtsman Steakhouse, with a lounge menu if you’re just looking for a light bite.

The Market at Ale & Compass is a handy place to pick up morning coffee, a quick brekkie, and stocking up on emergency snacks ahead of a long day in the parks.

What's included

Upgrade options.

Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan is available at more than one hundred venues across Walt Disney World. For each night of your stay, each guest is given credits for two quick-service meals, one drink with each meal, one snack, and a refillable mug. The plan is loaded onto your Disney band or card, which you can use to redeem the credits anytime during your stay.

Disney Dining Plan Your Disney band or card is preloaded with credits that you can use to pay for meals at over two hundred locations across Walt Disney World. For each night of your stay, you will receive credits for one quick-service meal, one table-service meal, one drink per meal, and one snack. When you arrive, you will receive a refillable drink mug that you can use for free refills at your Disney resort hotel. Fine and signature dining, dinner shows, and character dining are included in the plan, but two table-service meals will be deducted from your dining credits.

The Ship Shape Health Club has a range of fitness equipment or follow one of the jogging trails around Crescent Lake. For recreation, there are plenty of golf courses throughout Walt Disney World, and there’s a sand volleyball court near the Tidal Pool, with equipment available to collect from Ship Shape Health Club. There are also illuminated tennis and pickleball courts.

Hire boats from the Disney’s Beach Club Resort marina or take a fishing excursion on Crescent Lake.

Walt Disney World has taken a significant step towards sustainability by eliminating single-use plastic straws and stirrers across its premises and working towards a goal of zero waste to landfill by 2030. Organic waste generated at Walt Disney World is sent to an off-site composting facility to be turned into nutrient-rich soil, which can be used to fertilise plants.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort makes family holidays to Walt Disney World simple. EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are within walking distance, and a regular bus service picks you up outside the hotel to whisk you to the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

There isn’t a children’s club. Time here is spent together as a family, whether splashing around in Stormalong Bay, relaxing around a campfire, or watching Movies Under the Stars after dusk.

It’s useful to know there’s a 24-hour self-service laundry available, or valet laundry services and dry cleaning, if you prefer.

Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will be closed for routine maintenance from January 2025 to May 2025.

Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours.

During this time, Guests are welcome to swim at the Tidal, Admiral and Dunes Cove pools.

How Paris Hilton Reclaimed Her Narrative With 'Infinite Icon'

Eighteen years after her debut album, Paris Hilton is telling her own story like never before. The pop culture trailblazer details how a new perspective on her fame and legacy inspired 'Infinite Icon.'

At the beginning of last year, Paris Hilton received a fortuitous affirmation from her longtime friend Sia : "You were born to be a pop star."

The duo were flying back to Los Angeles from Miami, where they had joined Miley Cyrus on stage for the "Flowers" singer's NBC holiday special, "Miley's New Years Eve Party," the night before. It had been the "Hannah Montana" star's idea to have Hilton perform her signature 2006 hit, "Stars Are Blind," and the surprise appearance had the crowd — and the internet — in a frenzy. But it wasn't until Sia asked Hilton why she had stopped making music that the star took a moment to reconsider her dormant pop music career.

"I explained to her that I was so busy focusing on my brands and all my businesses, and I just didn't really take the time," Hilton recalls to GRAMMY.com from her palatial estate in Beverly Park, California. "And she was like, 'Well what if I was executive producer and I wrote the album with you?'"

The very next day, Sia sent her over 60 ideas for songs — and Paris Hilton the Pop Star was officially reborn.

More than 18 months later, Hilton's long-awaited sophomore studio album, Infinite Icon , is finally arriving on Sept. 6. The project is full-circle in many ways for Hilton, particularly its home of 11:11 Media, the global media company the multi-hyphenate founded in 2006 (and rebranded from Paris Hilton Entertainment in 2021) to steer her ever-evolving business empire.

The 12-track collection of sparkling, electro-fueled dance-pop features guest appearances by Rina Sawayama (anthemic lead single "I'm Free") and close pal Meghan Trainor (the bouncing declaration of independence "Chasin'") as well as production by the likes of Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson — Harry Styles ' GRAMMY-winning collaborators on 2022's Harry's House — and songwriting credits from titans like Greg Kurstin and Caroline Ailin, Dua Lipa 's trusty right-hand woman.

With its glitzy, high-fashion sheen and club-ready sound, the album is exactly what Little Hiltons (as the singer's fans lovingly call themselves) have been anxiously waiting upwards of two decades to hear, whether Hilton is stepping into her power on liberated opener "Welcome Back," gushing over her happily ever after with husband Carter Reum on starry-eyed cut "Infinity" or trading verses with Argentinian star María Becerra on bilingual banger "Without Love."

But Infinite Icon is much more than just a sophomore album for the superstar — it's another chance to take her story back from the clutches of the media.

The last time Hilton released a full-length studio set — her 2006 debut album, Paris — her life looked very different. The socialite was still filming her hit reality series with bestie Nicole Richie, "The Simple Life"; the show had turned Hilton into one of the most famous faces in the world since its 2003 premiere, largely thanks to her persona as a ditzy wild child from one of L.A.'s wealthiest and most powerful dynasties. That quickly pigeonholed her as a spoiled party girl who was only famous for being, well, rich and famous.

As the characteristically ruthless Y2K-era press doggedly constructed a scandal-ridden narrative about her life and famous friends like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan ( The New York Post 's " Bimbo summit, " anyone?), Hilton turned her fame into a full-blown empire. She leveraged her celebrity into media ventures and brand deals galore, including a fragrance collection that contains more than 30 products as of 2024 and has reportedly generated more than $3 billion in revenue since its 2004 inception; she also continued blazing a trail on reality TV with popular shows like the global "Paris Hilton's My New BFF" franchise and 2011's "The World According to Paris."

Hilton unapologetically embraced her public persona on Paris , creating a soundtrack of slick, candy-coated confections like "Turn It Up," "Screwed," "Nothing in This World," and, of course, the aforementioned "Stars Are Blind." The LP, which featured production by heavyweights like Scott Storch, Fernando Garibay and Kara DioGuardi, even came with a breathy, baby-voiced cover of Rod Stewart 's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" to close out the track list for good measure.

The self-titled studio effort served as another reminder of Hilton's star power, becoming a surprise success for Warner Records when it peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200; it eventually sold more than 600,000 copies around the world. "Stars Are Blind" also became a cult hit in its own right, notching Hilton with a Top 20 single on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as a No. 1 on multiple dance charts.

While Hilton views "Stars Are Blind" as "such a defining moment in my career," she alludes that the version of Paris on Paris is far removed from the Paris on Infinite Icon . "My first album was definitely just about being fun, about going out, partying, being hot. I don't know, it was just very me at that time," she says.

"Now, in my life, I feel like I've been through so much. It's been this whole journey, and I've just lived through so many different phases of my life," Hilton — now a wife and mother of two — adds. "So I wanted to make this album something that was deeper and more introspective, and just celebrate everything that I've learned in life and reflect the evolution of who I've become."

Part of that evolution includes a new perspective on the years she spent chasing validation and fulfillment through the public's adoration. In fact, the first taste of her musical comeback came with one of Infinite Icon's boldest and most surprising statements: "Fame Won't Love You."

The synth-drenched power ballad — a duet with Sia, which was also included on the nine-time GRAMMY nominee's latest album, Reasonable Woman — finds the woman once notoriously derided as being famous for simply being famous dissecting her global stardom with an unflinching and surprisingly vulnerable eye.

"I searched in your eyes for some glimmer of light/ Tap dancing for one million miles/ I looked for the smiles, hoping in them I'd find/ Validation for my futile existence," she sings on the second verse. Sia joins in on the surging chorus, "Little dreams come crashing, let them wave in passing/ 'Cause fame won't love you like a mother, like a father should/ And you may wish for Oscars, GRAMMYs and blockbusters/ 'Cause fame won't love you like a lover, like a brother should."

Calling the song "deeply personal," Hilton explains, "It really captures the truth that I've lived and learned over the years. And I just wanted people to understand that fame can never replace real love or true happiness. 'Cause when I was younger, I thought that fame was everything — it just seemed like the ultimate validation. But over time, I've realized while fame can bring you attention and opportunities, it really can't fill the voids in your heart or bring you the deep connections that we all need in life. It's just a reminder that the world can love your image, but it's really the love from within and from those who truly know you that matters the most."

"Fame Won't Love You" is hardly the only song on the album where Hilton showcases an inspiring amount of soul-searching and personal growth, either. She casts off stigmas and opens up about turning her lifelong struggle with ADHD into her own personal "superpower" on the appropriately titled "ADHD" ("That is a song that I needed to hear when I was a teenager," she says), gives sweet insight into the private life she's created behind the public fantasy on "Legacy," and even questions her own mortality and the legacy she'll one day leave behind on glittering standout "Stay Young."

Infinite Icon also affirms that Hilton is proudly aware of the impact she's had on today's modern celebrity culture, specifically on the outrageously fun "Bad Bitch Academy," which includes a Hottie-approved guest appearance by Megan Thee Stallion on the official remix.

The runway-ready romp shows Paris is more than happy to school the next wave of celebrity influencers and aspiring socialites: "Step one: when you're gettin' ready, look hot/ Step two: gotta catch a cab to the bar/ Step three: get a drink with a cherry and tie it in a knot/ Step four: dance your ass off/ Welcome to the Bad Bitch Academy," she coolly instructs her fame-chasing pupils over a pulsating beat.

"I feel really proud being the OG It Girl and the blueprint for modern celebrity," she says. "It was about redefining what it means to be famous in the digital age. Just pioneering a new kind of celebrity -— someone that blends fashion and media and business and pop culture all into a powerful personal brand. It's really cool that I was the first to turn my life into something where I've shaped trends and set standards, and inspired so many to embrace their own unique star power.

"I didn't just follow the rules, I created them," the business mogul continues. "I was at the forefront [of] showing the world that you can be glamorous, you can be fun, you can be a businesswoman. My journey is more than just about fame, it's really about building a lasting impact and empowering others."

Years before Hilton even considered making her sophomore album, her lasting impact as a pop culture icon was further proven when a then-unknown Kim Petras asked her to appear in the music video for her debut single, 2017's "I Don't Want It At All." The unabashed Little Hilton kicks off the visual by praying at an altar dedicated to her idol, with Paris then appearing like a high-fashion fairy godmother to make all the young starlet's designer-laden dreams come true. (The two blonde bombshells became fast friends, and later collaborated on the 2023 re-recording of "Stars Are Blind (Paris' Version)." Hilton now adoringly considers the GRAMMY-winning trailblazer "like my little sister.")

More recently, metal-pop newcomer Scene Queen also cited Hilton as a direct inspiration and "very much the aesthetic drive" behind her own alternative stage persona. "She talks about how she put on this voice and everything, because people were just gonna assume that she was dumb anyway," the singer born Hannah Collins told GRAMMY.com in July . "So she completely capitalized on that and was like, 'That's fine, I'll take your money and make my career successful. If you're already gonna assume negatively about me, then that's my superpower.'"

"I love that I can inspire people that they can really just be authentic and fearless, follow their dreams and make them happen," Hilton says of the artists and influencers following in her footsteps. "I would have loved to have someone like that to look up to when I was a teenager, and I didn't. So it's cool I can be that person for others… I know that teenage Paris would be very proud, 'cause I would never have been thinking this back then when I was a kid."

As Hilton's loyal fans know, Infinite Icon is just one of many ways the multi-hyphenate is inspiring future generations as well as working on her own healing.

With the release of her 2020 documentary This Is Paris and publication of 2023's Paris: The Memoir , she publicly recounted the heartbreaking years she spent at Provo Canyon School, an involuntary treatment center for troubled teens in Provo, Utah. She openly detailed the physical, verbal, emotional and sexual abuse she suffered there, as well as the suffocating PTSD and trauma that has subsequently followed her into adulthood and megastardom.

The "Paris in Love" star now proudly counts political activist and children's safety advocate among her long list of accomplishments, having introduced the Stop Institutionalized Child Abuse Act into Congress in April 2023 to reform the largely unregulated troubled teen industry that stole her adolescence.

"I want to be remembered for that," she says of her advocacy work. "Fame and all that is whatever, but to be remembered for making a difference in children's lives and being the hero I needed when I was a child, that means more to me than anything."

Whether she's in the recording booth, testifying before Congress or on stage in front of thousands of adoring fans, Hilton remains dedicated to telling her own story, in her own way and on her own terms.

"Every song on this album is a piece of my truth and a reflection of my journey," the pop icon says of Infinite Icon . "It's allowed me to reclaim my narrative and share who I am beyond the headlines and the persona people think that they know.

"This album isn't just about making music," she continues. "It's really about owning my story, embracing my past and showing the world the woman that I've become."

John Legend On How His Kids, "The Voice" & Sufjan Stevens Helped 'My Favorite Dream' Come To Life

On the heels of releasing his first children's album, John Legend details how his latest passion project came to be.

There are few things 12-time GRAMMY winner John Legend has not achieved. Six years after achieving EGOT status, Legend has conquered a new goal: releasing an album of sing-alongs and lullabies.

Legend's debut children's album, My Favorite Dream , is the result of a creative partnership with Sufjan Stevens . Yet the album's true origins can be traced to an Instagram video of Legend singing Fisher Price's "Maybe" to his wife Chrissy Teigen and their youngest daughter, Esti. The video has been viewed 9.3 million times on the platform since Teigen posted it in November 2023.

"As soon as Chrissy posted me singing that song, all the parents who have had young kids with Fisher Price toys were like, 'Oh, my God, you're doing this song that we have known for years, and we love,'" Legend tells GRAMMY.com. "'Why don't you make more songs like this for parents out there?"

Teigen then suggested that her husband make a lullaby album. Fisher Price reached out and followed suit, and so did Legend's label. "Everybody was saying, 'John, you got to make a children's album.' And so I started to think about it."

My Favorite Dream features 15 tracks: nine originals written by Legend, one solo piano track, and five covers (yes, including a full recorded version of "Maybe"). True to form, Legend put a unique touch on childhood favorites such as "You Are My Sunshine."

"When you listen to the lyrics, there's a hint of sadness that goes through, especially the second verse," he says of the reimagined track. "I wanted to capture some of that as well, the idea that you're sad when you miss someone that you love, someone who is your sunshine." And when it came to crafting the nine originals, his inspiration was simple: "the things me and Chrissy like to talk to our kids about, concepts we like to teach our kids, and messages we like to share with our kids, how we like to inspire them and motivate them." With that in mind, Legend channels imagination and love throughout the new songs. "Deep In The Ocean Blue" transports kids and parents alike to the wonders beneath the ocean's surface, while "We're A Family" and "When I Feel Sad" explore the undeniable strength of a family bond. "Always Come Back" combines both, interpolating the Willy Wonka classic "Pure Imagination" to soundtrack Legend's heartfelt promise to his kids that he's never too far away: "I may ride the planes and trains and distant highways/ But I know I'll be finding my way home… I'll always come back to you."

There's even a personal touch on the album's rhythmic lead single, "L-O-V-E," which features background vocals from Tiegen and their two oldest children, Luna and Miles.

By expanding his musical repertoire with My Favorite Dream , Legend has put his artistic versatility on full display. The album is an amalgamation of the distinctive features that form Legend's musical calling card — from his enchanting piano playing that listeners were first introduced on his 2004 debut, Get Lifted , to the raw and soulful lyrics of his 2013 smash "All of Me," to the richness of textures he explored on 2020's Big Love . Legend's musical abilities empowered him to create a children's album that is not only timeless, but deeply meaningful in its themes and narratives. While Legend wrote all of the original songs on his own — a career first — he insists My Favorite Dream wouldn't have been as impactful without Stevens' production. Legend was first introduced to Stevens' work through his critically acclaimed 2005 LP, Illinois. "It's such an iconic album, and it has some of that whimsy music and some of those dreamy soundscapes you would want for a children's album. The more I listened to him, the more I was like, 'You know what? He's the only person I could imagine producing this album the way I want it to sound.'" Legend and Stevens viewed the album as two halves, each with its own distinct sound. As Legend explains, the duo wanted the tone of the first half of the album to be more uptempo: "we wanted to sound like a Muppet band, just fun, playful sounds that were very musical, but also very fun and adventurous at the same time." The second half of the album centers on soothing, timeless lullabies. The hypnotic "Go To Sleep" encapsulates the idea of a whimsical and dreamy soundscape; "Safe" is a tranquil tune that explores the comfort and security of the bond between parent and child. The latter's baroque pop background vocals — a characteristic of Stevens' unmistakable sound — complements Legend's rich baritone voice, serving as a testament to their fruitful partnership.

The passion behind My Favorite Dream is undeniable, but it's also a smart business move on Legend's part. In the past decade, some of YouTube's most viewed videos were children's songs, bringing in over a combined total of over 40 billion views . As a father of four, Legend knows firsthand the role that music plays in parenting — and made a conscious effort to ensure that the album's songs appeal to both kids and their parents.

"For the kids, I wanted it to be lyrically appropriate [and reflect] things that we legitimately would say to them. At the same time, I wanted it musically to be something that everybody would want to listen to, that felt timeless and classic, and that parents would enjoy just as much as their kids would."

Judging by the reactions to "L-O-V-E" alone, Legend succeeded in his mission. As one YouTube commenter wrote, "Us grown ups need this song just as much as the kiddos do!" Whether or not more children's music is in Legend's future, he hints that he may explore more new genres with forthcoming projects. He attributes his time as a coach on the popular competition series "The Voice" for expanding his musical horizons. "You hear such a cross-section of music," he says of the show. "And I think that really has helped me become a more complete songwriter. It's definitely prepared me well for all the things I've been writing lately."

After seamlessly producing his debut children's album, Legend has proven that his versatility and talents are boundless — and now, he just might have fans old and young waiting to hear what's next.

The album includes magical collaborations with Anderson .Paak , Four Tet , Emmylou Harris , the Japanese House, Skrillex , and more.

On Instagram , Gibson shared the intimate concept behind the album: each of the 10 songs represent a different, important day in his life. Toro y Moi — 'Hole Erth' (Sept. 6)

Experimental chillwave artist Toro y Moi, aka Chaz Bear, is set to release his eighth studio album, Hole Erth , on September 6. The title was inspired by Stewart Brand's counterculture magazine Whole Earth , which was published in the late ‘60s. "The Whole Earth catalog is this encyclopedic, self-sustaining guide. With the album title alone, that's something I wanted to spark as a conversation," said Bear in a press release. "We can be off the grid, and also be on the internet, and try out all of these different lifestyles at the same time."

Bear shared a first look into this nostalgic project with the single "Tuesday" shedding light on his evolving musical tastes. "Growing up, the often-controversial-line between mainstream and underground artists was so defined, but now that line has become so blurred I can't even tell what I like anymore… sometimes."

This eclectic mix is evident across the album's 13 tracks, which navigate through rap rock, pop punk, and emo, marking Hole Erth is Bear's most unexpected project yet. The album holds a slew of superstar features including Don Toliver in "Madonna," BROCKHAMPTON's Kevin Abstract and Lev in " Heaven ," and Death Cab for Cutie 's Ben Gibbard in " Hollywood ." Overall, the record emerges as an oeuvre, steeped in the digital era yet deeply connected to the human experience.

Paris Hilton — 'Infinite Icon' (Sept. 6)

It's been nearly two decades since early-aughts' socialite Paris Hilton launched her singing career with Paris in 2006. Since the global success of its hit single "Stars Are Blind," Hilton has only sporadically dabbled in music, focusing on a variety of other endeavors. This September, she surprises fans with her much-anticipated album, Infinite Icon .

Executive produced by popstar Sia , the 12-track album includes collaborations with Rina Sawayama, Meghan Trainor , Argentine singer Maria Becerra, and Sia herself. The buzz around Hilton's musical comeback bubbled up in December 2022 following the re-release of "Stars Are Blind (Paris' Version)." Her performance of the hit song with Sia and Miley Cyrus ' at a New Year's Eve concert in Times Square further fueled anticipation.

In June 2024, Hilton performed the new single "I'm Free" with Rina Sawayama at the Alice + Olivia Pride party in New York City, igniting excitement for future performances yet to be announced.

David Gilmour — 'Luck and Strange' (Sept. 6)

Pink Floyd's David Gilmour is set to release his fifth studio album, Luck and Strange , on September 6 — his first in nearly a decade. In an interview with Prog Magazine , Gilmour hailed it as "the best album I've made in all those years since 1973 when [Pink Floyd's] The Dark Side Of The Moon came out."

Luck and Strange was co-produced by Gilmour and Charlie Andrew, known for his work with indie band Alt-J . "We invited Charlie to the house, so he came and listened to some demos, and said things like, ‘Well, why does there have to be a guitar solo there?' and ‘Do they all fade out? Can't some of them just end?' shared Gilmour in a press release. "He has a wonderful lack of knowledge or respect for this past of mine. He's very direct and not in any way overawed, and I love that. That is just so good for me because the last thing you want is people just deferring to you."

The upcoming LP contains eight tracks "from the point of view of being older," majorly written by Gilmour's wife, Polly Samson, and includes a stirring cover of The Montgolfier Brothers' " Between Two Points ." Gilmour and Samson's children, Romany and Gabriel, also feature as singers in the latter. As for the title track, it includes a special 2007 recording by late Pink Floyd keyboardist, Richard Wright . In October, Gilmour will head to the U.S. for several shows in Los Angeles and New York.

Nilüfer Yanya — 'My Method Actor' (Sept. 13)

British singer Nilüfer Yanya dives deep into the craft of her new album, My Method Actor , drawing parallels between her process and method acting. "I was researching method acting — and from what I read, it's based on finding this one memory in your life, a life-altering, life-changing memory," Yanya explained in a press statement. She describes method acting as sometimes traumatic because it involves constantly revisiting pivotal personal moments— a process akin to the emotional recall required during musical performances.

Scheduled for release on September 13, My Method Actor explores themes of transition and change, a reflection of a period of Yanya's own life. To write it, she and producer Wilma Archer secluded themselves in the studio to create what she describes as her "most intense album," focusing solely on their collaborative efforts without any external influences.

Yanya is ready to share her new work with audiences across North America, Europe, and the UK, beginning with a tour that kicks off on September 28 in Philadelphia, PA. She has given fans a taste of what's in store with singles "Like I Say (I Runaway)," "Method Actor," "Call It Love," and "Mutations."

Suki Waterhouse — 'Memoir of a Sparklemuffin' (Sept. 13)

Suki Waterhouse's new album, Memoir of a Sparklemuffin , was inspired by a spider. But not your average house spider: "I came across the Sparklemuffin — which is wildly colored, does this razzle-dazzle dance, and its mate will cannibalize it if she doesn't approve of the dance," she said in a press release. "It's a metaphor for the dance of life we're all in. The title felt hilarious, ridiculous, and wonderful to me."

The album arrives on September 13, two years after her lauded debut I Can't Let Go , showcasing a sundry of styles, from folk, to indie, to pop across 18 tracks. The English singer collaborated with producers Jonathan Rado, Brad Cook , Greg Gonzalez , Rick Nowels , and more, all while preparing for the arrival of her first child. "I finished the record in my home studio during the last months of my pregnancy," she recounted. This period of personal transformation shaped the album, which she hopes will resonate deeply with listeners. "If it captures something pure I've experienced, it should touch others too," she added.

Starting September 28, Waterhouse will embark on The Sparklemuffin Tour through North America, performing in 26 cities throughout December.

Brantley Gilbert — 'Tattoos' (Sept. 13)

"All my albums, they capture a chapter of my life," said country rockstar Brantley Gilbert about his new LP, Tattoos . "If somebody wants to know who I am, what I've been through and where I stand, they can start at the beginning and listen through, and that's why it was undeniable that Tattoos should be the title — because my tattoos do the same thing."

Marking Gilbert's seventh studio effort, Tattoos comprises 10 tracks co-written by the singer, and features Justin Moore, Struggle Jennings and Demun Jones, and Gary LeVox . On its lyrical contents and symbolism, Gilbert added: "People get ‘em for a lot of reasons, but for most of us, tattoos talk about our victories and losses, our struggles and the whole nine."

The Georgia-born artist will celebrate the release day in style, headlining Brantley Gilbert's World's Largest Album Release Party on Broadway in Nashville. Following the release, he will play several shows across the U.S., including stops in Knoxville, Jonesboro, and Savannah. Gilbert also shared the single "Me and My House," featuring Struggle Jennings and Demun Jones.

London Grammar — 'The Greatest Love' (Sept. 13)

A decade after their debut, London Grammar is set to release their next album, The Greatest Love , signaling a new chapter for the band. According to a press release, this album allows the band to "leave their past behind them and hone in on a newfound sense of freedom."

Following their 2021 critically acclaimed album Californian Soil — which earned them a second BRIT nomination — the new album is brimming with confidence and a new outlook, while retaining their classic etherealness. Hannah Reid explains, "The last couple of years have changed our priorities and process as artists. That is a big part of our story."

The album's lead single " House " encapsulates this new direction with empowering lyrics: "This is my place, my house, my rules." Another track, " Into Gold ," speaks to overcoming adversity, reflecting: "And when I was made from the right kind of wrong / All of these things that I’ve seen turned darkness into gold." The band will support the release with a tour beginning in November, with eight shows scheduled across Europe and the UK.

Miranda Lambert — 'Postcards From Texas' (Sept. 13)

Country queen Miranda Lambert went back to her roots for her ninth studio record, Postcards from Texas . Reflecting on the album's deep personal significance, Lambert shared with Variety , "I made this record in Texas, and it meant the world to me. I had not made a record in Texas since I was 18, my independent album… And this music really reflects what made me the artist that I am. I feel like it's pretty honky-tonk."

Postcards From Texas also marks Lambert's debut release under Republic Records after her departure from a two-decade stint at Sony Nashville. "I just thought I could learn a lot, to be honest, from a New York-based label, and try to grow my career still and do it in different ways than I have before," she told Variety .

Collaborating closely with frequent co-producer Jon Randall , Lambert crafted a 14-track collection, personally co-writing 10 of those songs. Album highlights include the lead single " Wranglers ," "Santa Fe" with Parker McCollum, a cover of David Allen Coe's "Living on the Run," and "Alimony." Notably, " Dammit Randy ," marks the first song to feature co-writing credits from her husband, Brendan McLoughlin.

Jamie xx — 'In Waves' (Sept. 20)

Nearly a decade has passed since Jamie xx, famed DJ and producer from The xx, released his full-length debut album. His eagerly awaited sophomore album, In Waves , is slated to finally break that drought on Sept. 20.

"I am so unbelievably happy," Jamie expressed in a press statement. "It's been a while… and a lot has happened in that time. Ups and downs, growing up, figuring stuff out and then forgetting it all many times over. I wanted to make something fun, joyful and introspective all at once. The best moments on a dance floor are usually that for me. I can't wait to share it with you."

Over four years in the making, Jamie meticulously shaped the album to evoke "the emotional crescendos and thrilling volatility of an almost mystical night out." To help him on this mission, he collaborated with bandmates Romy and Oliver Sim, as well as John Glacier and Robyn , and included a special feature with Erykah Badu in the deluxe vinyl edition.

In May, Jamie previewed In Waves during his intimate The Floor residency in London. He has since publicly shared tracks " Treat Each Other Right ," "All You Children" with the Avalanches, " Life " with Robyn, and " Baddy on the Floor " with Honey Dijon .

Manu Chao — 'Viva Tu' (Sept. 20)

It's been 17 years since Manu Chao's La Radiolina graced the airwaves, but the wait for new music is finally over. The mythic French-Spanish singer is set to release Viva Tu, his fifth studio LP since his debut with Clandestino in 1998, heightening the anticipation for his latest work.

Drawing inspiration from his global travels and the everyday lives of people, Chao's new album offers a tapestry of languages including Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English, reflecting on "the current state of the world, both in factual and virtual terms." " São Paulo Motoboy ," a standout track, pays homage to the city's delivery drivers who navigate its sprawling chaos daily, while " Viva Tu " is a heartfelt rumba celebrating the women of his neighborhood.

Viva Tu also shines with collaborations from Willie Nelson on "Heaven's Bad Day," and French singer Laeti on "Tu Te Vas." As Chao continues his current world tour fans can catch him live in various European cities throughout September.

Bright Eyes — 'Five Dice, All Threes' (Sept. 20)

The indie sad boys of Bright Eyes will be back with their first new album in four years. Five Dice, All Threes is set to drop September 20, following 2020's Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was . The fully self-produced record also features Cat Power, Matt Berninger of The National , and Alex Orange Drink from The So So Glos'.

Discussing the album's melancholy themes, frontman Conor Oberst reflected in a statement, "For whatever reason, I was born with a brain that's preoccupied with that kind of thing. When I was young, there was a performative aspect to it, which got reflected back at me. Now I'm at a point where I don't care what the reaction is going to be. Before it was a little out of my hands — I didn't know how to write if it wasn't specific to my actual life. Now I do it by choice." Nate Walcott, the band’s multi-instrumentalist, added, "I think it revisits the spirit of our older records. There is a real quality of chaos and ecstatic urgency in the performances."

For now, fans can enjoy the single " Rainbow Overpass " and will soon have the opportunity to experience these emotions live. Bright Eyes embarks on a U.S. tour in September, followed by a European leg, before returning to North America for an extensive 43-show tour across the continent starting in January 2025.

Katy Perry — '143' (Sept. 20)

Katy Perry's seventh album, 143 , heralded as a "sexy, fearless return to form," is set to drop this fall with 11 club-ready anthems. Perry described the album as "a bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album," with the title '143' representing the symbolic numerical expression of love.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 , Perry revealed the personal significance behind the album's title: "It's my angel number. It's my symbol, it's my sign," she said. "A couple years ago, we were going through a little bit of a hard time medically in our family, and it was a little bit scary, and I started seeing 143 in many different ways, not just on the phone. It was trippy, almost. And I looked it up, and it's code for 'I love you.'"

For this release, the former American Idol judge worked with long-time collaborators Max Martin , Dr. Luke , and Stargate , but also enlisted new names, such as Vaughn Oliver and Rocco Did It Again! . The tracklist features collaborations with 21 Savage , Doechii, and Kim Petras , previewing this new era with singles " Woman's World " and "Lifetimes."

On the day of release, September 20, Perry will headline a sold-out show at Rock in Rio in Brazil. Further tour dates have yet to be announced.

Ezra Collective — 'Dance, No One's Watching' (Sept. 27)

Following their 2022 Mercury Prize-winning album, Where I'm Meant to Be , jazz group Ezra Collective will return with their third LP, Dance, No One's Watching , on September 27. The album is described as "an ode to the sacred, yet joyous act of dancing," capturing the essence of various dance floors the band has encountered on their global tours and exploring how rhythms connect humans on a deeper level.

Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studios, Dance, No One's Watching was enriched by surprise visits from close friends and family, infusing the album with a profound sense of community and shared experience. The British quintet recently released the single "God Gave Me Feet for Dancing," featuring Yazmin Lacey, which exemplifies these themes.

Drummer Femi Koleoso elaborates on the significance of dance in their music: "Myself, Ife, and TJ all grew up in church, and it played a massive role in how we view the purpose of dancing. Dancing is bigger than just the club space. Dancing is a community thing, dancing is a spiritual thing, and ‘God Gave Me Feet For Dancing' is like a window into that element of Ezra Collective for the five of us."

Luke Bryan — 'Mind of a Country Boy' (Sept. 27)

Luke Bryan explores fresh vocal styles in his forthcoming album set to release on September 27, Mind of a Country Boy , reflecting on songs that have stood the test of time. "If it's a song that I cut two or three years ago, and I still love it, and it still sounds fresh, then I feel like it'll stand the test of time."

Summed up as "a well-rounded collection of songs from a man who has lived what he sings," Mind Of A Country Boy has "a little bit of everything," according to Bryan. "I do some things differently vocally on this one that I've not done before. It's about each song having its place and having its meaning. It's trying not to be overly redundant with songs. I think that's why I've been blessed to have a long career and what I feel like this album's going to do."

The album includes 14 tracks produced by Jeff and Jody Stevens, who previously worked with Bryan on his 2020 album Born Here Live Here Die Here. Leading singles from the album include " Country On ," " But I Got a Beer in My Hand ," and "Love You, Miss You, Mean It."

A Pirate Looks At Infinity: Jimmy Buffett's Legacy In 15 Songs

A year after his untimely passing, look back at the songs that point most convincingly back to Jimmy Buffett — the man, the artist and now, the never forgotten legend.

When Jimmy Buffett passed away on Sept. 1, 2023 at age 76, the decorated singer/songwriter, performer, author and entrepreneur left behind a legacy that unified a swath of musical genres and people.

The man behind "Margaritaville" — the song and later the brand — and so many other tunes that bridged folk sensibilities with country and rock touches, sometimes called "Gulf & Western," was much more than the beach-obsessed character he played in song. Although he had plenty of industry successes, notching 13 Billboard Hot 100 hits, a pair of GRAMMY Award nominations, while selling more than 20 million albums, his fans loved him for how he made them feel.

In song, he was a true storyteller that was clever, funny and introspective; in performances, he was the quintessential Parrothead to the core. As the ringleader of the party, he was generous enough to share the spotlight with members of his Coral Reefer Band as well as the fans who dressed up, tailgated outside the venues and spread their joy to others.

Both sides of Buffett were crucial building blocks in the business empire he built around his persona as the laid-back, casually philosophical beach bum. The Margaritaville restaurant and resort chains, his Landshark Lager beer and many other ventures made him a billionaire, while his storytelling prowess made him one of few authors to top both fiction and nonfiction bestsellers' lists. While his legacy may be both musical and merchandisable, the endearing qualities of the Parrothead personality he created is the real reward for his fans.

Below, remember Buffett's illustrious career through 15 classic songs — just a glimpse of his genius that made it okay for country singers to loosen up, for rockers to pick up an acoustic guitar, and for the Parrotheads to while away their days in the sun.

"Why Don't We Get Drunk," 'A White Sports Coat and a Pink Crustacean' (1973)

While Buffett's first two albums showed glimpses of the celebrated artist he would become, his songwriting largely hewed close to the earnest observations typical of early-seventies folkies. By his third album, though, he had grown into his winking style of satire and breezy, Nashville-meets-Key West flair.

This cut from A White Sports Coat and a Pink Crustacean combined both, and created the template for hundreds of bleary-eyed sing-alongs to follow. "The Great Filling Station Hold-Up" may have been the proper album single, but "Why Don't We Get Drunk," its controversial B-side, became the bigger tune — and the one featured on his seven-times Platinum compilation, Songs You Know By Heart .

"Come Monday," 'Living & Dying in ¾ Time' (1974)

As Buffett pulled away from his folk sensibilities, Nashville-style balladry became a big part of his sound. "Come Monday"  brings orchestral strings into the mix to help express the yearnings he felt while stuck in "a brown L.A. haze," pining for his love back home. The song resonated with new fans, becoming his first Top 40 single, as it peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"A Pirate Looks at Forty," 'A1A' (1974)

It probably wasn't a stretch for Buffett to sing so convincingly from the perspective of a seafaring, modern-day pirate. He considered his own later entrepreneurial forays an adventure on the high seas of life. But back in '74, he was so inspired by the real-life stories of a Key West smuggler and rapscallion he befriended that he wrote "A Pirate Looks at Forty" from his perspective.

A key cut on his second long-player of '74, A1A , "Pirate" is empathetic to the dashed dreams and yearnings of a man looking back at his wins and losses. And despite the eventual billionaire fortunes of Buffett himself, his narrator determines the balance is a draw.

"Margaritaville," 'Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude' (1977)

Buffett's next album, Changes in Latitude, Changes in Attitude , launched his music career into the stratosphere — and its success had a lot to do with "Margaritaville," a Top 10 hit and the basis of the global brand he later built.

Essentially, "Margaritaville" established the beach-boho lifestyle as an aspiration for millions. Against a backdrop of tropical instruments like steel drum and marimba, Buffett sang of the quiet pleasures of an unhurried life, unconcerned with the tides and buoyed by his favorite blender drink. In 2016, the tune was voted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame, while the Library of Congress added it to the National Recording Registry in April 2023.

"Son Of A Son Of A Sailor," 'Son Of A Son Of A Sailor' (1978)

Whether Buffett's soft and breezy music can be considered "yacht rock" is a subject of debate, but he certainly rocked a yacht or two in his day — and he dressed the part for the cover of his album Son Of A Son Of A Sailor . The title track is a definitive take on his love of the wandering life, untethered from the anchors many cling to and always in search of the next port of call. A master of ballads whimsical and wistful, Buffett manages to be both at once here.

"Cheeseburger in Paradise," 'Son Of A Son Of A Sailor' (1978)

Before it was a menu item at his Margaritaville-branded restaurants and resorts, "Cheeseburger in Paradise" was a mirage Buffett dreamed about while marooned at sea. As the story goes, a misadventure in the Caribbean left Buffett with only meager rations to survive. And when he finally struck a landing on dry ground, his first meal inspired one of his most enduring songs: an easy-rockin' Top 40 hit about cheeseburgers that somehow isn't a novelty cut — a hat trick only Buffett could pull off.

"Fins," 'Volcano' (1979)

As the lead tune from his 11th album, Volcano , "Fins" entered the pantheon of Buffett concert staples immediately and helped inspire plenty of Parrothead ephemera, as well as the title of the 1990 live album Feeding Frenzy and his Landshark Lager brand. But none of that would be important if not for Buffett's song about a hapless woman who travels to the beach to relax, but instead is encircled by "sharks that can swim on the land." With "fins" to the left and right of her, she's "the only bait in town."

"Boat Drinks," 'Volcano' (1979)

Buffett had a knack for coining phrases — and "Boat Drinks" certainly qualifies among the best. What makes a boat ride better? Boat drinks, of course.

An album cut from Volcano (also featured as a B-side to the single "Survive"), Buffett ironically wrote the song while on a winter sojourn in Boston, exiled from his native habitat and wishing the city's fresh blanket of snow were the sugar-white sands of Florida. Musically, the tune is a quintessential cut from his whirlwind late-seventies period, when Caribbean themes and sonic textures became his calling card.

"It's My Job," 'Coconut Telegraph' (1981)

Long before Mac McAnally joined Buffett as a sideman in the Coral Reefer Band, Buffett sent the young artist a note praising his songwriting. Then, for his 1981 album, Coconut Telegraph , Buffett boosted his new friend's fortunes by recording "It's My Job," a tune McAnally wrote about taking pride in your work — however menial or miserable it may be — while working on a hot Mississippi highway in the summertime. The tune reached No. 57 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Buffett's last appearance on the chart until 2003 (more on that later).

"One Particular Harbor," 'One Particular Harbor' (1983)

The 1980s were the beginning of Buffett's transition from chart champion to blockbuster concert draw. But he still had plenty of gas in the songwriting tank, as songs like "One Particular Harbor" proved.

Inspired by his travels in Polynesia, Buffett sings in Tahitian about the "abundance of the sea" after leaving behind the mainland. While the song was a minor hit on Adult Contemporary radio, it became a fan favorite and a mainstay of live shows from the era.

"Jamaica Mistaica," 'Banana Wind' (1996)

Like on "Cheeseburger in Paradise," Buffett's penchant for seeing the humor in the unfortunate dustups of his real life shines on the Banana Wind cut "Jamaica Mistaica." In this case, Jamaican police opened fire on his plane, believing he was a smuggler or criminal straight out of his own song "A Pirate Looks at Forty." Set to a reggae beat, though, Buffett lets listeners in on the joke — an endearing quality that earned him the love not only of Parrotheads, but also an official apology from the Jamaican government.

"It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," Alan Jackson's 'Greatest Hits Volume II' (2003)

By the dawn of the new century, Buffett's beach-bum aesthetic had conquered Nashville, the town he left in the early '70s to find his identity as an artist in Key West. And "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," recorded with country star Alan Jackson and featured on his Greatest Hits Volume II , was exactly the new Buffett-style anthem Music City needed.

It was also what Buffett's 21st century career needed: "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" earned the veteran singer his first No. 1 on Billboard 's Hot Country Songs chart as well as his first GRAMMY nomination (in the Best Country Collaboration With Vocals Category) and his first Country Music Association Award (for Vocal Event of the Year). Later, the song notched the No. 3 song of the decade on Billboard 's Hot Country Songs chart, proving Buffett's staying power amid shifting musical trends.

"Bama Breeze," 'Take the Weather With You' (2006)

After Hurricane Katrina made matchsticks of Buffett's home territory in 2005 — the beachfront bars of Mississippi, Alabama and Florida where he cut his teeth — he responded with the album Take the Weather With You and its leadoff track, "Bama Breeze." The country-rock tune extols the virtues of the so-called "Redneck Riviera" and coming of age as the sun came up outside the dive bars of the Gulf Coast, many of which were now ruined. The song also nods to the fans who have stuck by him since the beginning: "At the Bama Breeze, you're one of our own down there/ You'll never drink alone down there/ Good god, I feel at home down there."

"Knee Deep," 'You Get What You Give' (Zac Brown Band, 2010)

One of the most rewarding markers of a mature career in music is the respect paid by each successive generation of musicians. Newly minted country star Zac Brown paid homage with "Knee Deep," which was written with Buffett in mind and borrows heavily from his long-established beachbound, escape-by-tropics aesthetic. But it truly takes off when Buffett himself takes the second verse and then harmonizes the choruses with Brown. And the combination proved sweet for both acts: the song was certified triple Platinum and landed at No. 1 on Billboard 's Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.

"Bubbles Up," 'Equal Strain On All Parts' (2023)

Although the public wasn't aware at the time, Buffett was dealing with the effects of Merkel cell carcinoma — the disease that claimed his life — throughout his final years of touring and recording music. Released two months after he passed, Equal Strain On All Parts , his 32nd and final album, arrived like a comforting voice from beyond to Parrotheads and casual fans alike.

On "Bubbles Up," Buffett was in a particularly reflective mood, facing his own mortality in his most measured, reassuring manner. The title phrase came from his survival training — if he were to find himself submerged in water, either from a boat or plane wreck, his trainers advised him to follow the bubbles up to the surface. "They will always point you toward home," he sings, "no matter how deep or how far you roam."

For a songwriter and performer who spent his life showing the world how to relax, enjoy life and see the humor in life's challenges, the reassuring sentiment — to quote the title of his 2004 album — underscores that a License to Chill has no expiration date.

How Sabrina Carpenter Became A Pop Queen: Tracing Her Journey To 'Short N' Sweet'

More than a decade in the making, Sabrina Carpenter is living out her superstar dreams. As she releases her new album, 'Short n' Sweet,' look back on the chart-topping star's journey and how every venture helped her evolve into a pop phenom.

Sabrina Carpenter is the first to admit that it's taken her a bit of time to find her way to the top of the music industry. She even likens herself to the tortoise in the fable "The Tortoise and the Hare" — even if she didn't want to believe the metaphor growing up.

"Something that my mom always said to me as a little girl that really annoyed me was that I am the tortoise… throughout my life, [I was] being told, 'Sabrina, you're the tortoise, just chill,'" Carpenter recalled while accepting the Variety Hitmakers Rising Artist Award in December 2023. "In moments of frustration and confusion it can feel like a letdown, but it turns out it's actually a very good thing."

It's been a very good thing for Carpenter, indeed. A decade since the release of her debut single, the singer/songwriter isn't just breaking through — she's one of pop's new reigning queens. Over the last year, Carpenter has nabbed her first No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100, made a stellar debut at Coachella, and performed on "Saturday Night Live," all the while racking up billions of streams on her music new and old. It's all built excitement for one of the most anticipated pop albums of the summer: Short n' Sweet .

As Carpenter unveils her new album, take a deep dive into her decade-long journey to pop stardom.

Getting Started: Disney Breakthrough

Growing up, Carpenter filled the sounds of her family home in Pennsylvania with covers of songs like Adele 's "Set Fire To The Rain" and "Picture to Burn" by future Eras Tour companion Taylor Swift (more on that later). After submitting videos for a singing contest spearheaded by Miley Cyrus , Carpenter would get her first taste of success. Placing third, she caught the eye of Hollywood Records, who signed her following the competition.

Simultaneously, Carpenter also began pursuing acting, landing guest spots on series like "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" in 2011 and joining "The Goodwin Games" in 2012. In 2014, she landed a lead role in the Disney Channel series "Girl Meets World," a spin-off of the beloved '90s series "Boy Meets World," which served as a breakthrough moment for the burgeoning star — and a catalyst for her music career.

Just before the show debuted, Carpenter released her debut single, "Can't Blame A Girl for Trying," the title track to her debut EP that arrived a month later. While the four-track EP was the typical output of a teenage Disney star — bubblegum pop sounds with digestible, family-friendly lyricism — it showed off her youthful timbre and offered themes that would become prevalent later in Carpenter's songwriting: love, heartache, and navigating life.

A year later, she released her debut album, Eyes Wide Open . A mix of pop with folk and country influences — a soundscape that remains on Short n' Sweet — Carpenter's debut showed maturity and growth following Can't Blame A Girl For Trying ; songs like "Eyes Wide Open" and "We'll Be the Stars" showed a more introspective side, reflecting on the pressures of being in the spotlight and the journey of finding her identity. Eyes Wide Open also hinted that Carpenter was beginning to hone her songwriting skills, penning four of the 12 tracks.

It would be on her 2016 sophomore album, EVOLution, where Carpenter would find confidence as a songwriter, co-writing all but one song on the 10-track project. In turn, the lyrics reflected her growing sense of self and a new perspective on past themes, like embracing non-romantic forms of love in "All We Have is Love," being there for a struggling friend in "Shadows," and learning to assert boundaries in "Space."

EVOLution transitioned Carpenter out of the teen pop aesthetic into a more sophisticated sound, experimenting with dance-pop and techno sonics. Genre versatility would become a throughline of sorts for Carpenter, and EVOLution foreshadowed the multifaceted musicality that was to come.

Shedding Disney: From Child Actor To Pop Star

After "Girl Meets World" came to an end at the beginning of 2017, Carpenter was ready for reinvention. Much like Britney Spears ' Britney and Cyrus' Can't Be Tamed before her, as Carpenter grew into an adult, she felt like she needed to shed the Disney-fied image that has become a rite of passage for teen stars. Thus began the Singular era.

Released in 2018 and 2019, respectively, Singular: Act I and Singular: Act II featured songs that were more risqué and mature in nature. A far cry from her tamer work of the past, the R&B track "Hold Tight" is equal parts sultry and evocative with Carpenter singing, "Wanna keep you in, wanna keep you in right/ Wanna feel your skin, wanna feel it on mine."

As she noted in an interview with Billboard , Singular: Act I   was a natural progression for a girl now in her late teens — even if it was against the squeaky-clean image of her beginnings.

"I was known as a fictional character on television with lines that were written for her with an attitude that was portrayed in a way by other people. So for a lot of people, their first impression of me was as a 13-year-old girl [singing] the kinds of songs that she should be singing," she said. "Then, flash forward to 19, and people are asking why I am not singing about the same things that I did when I was 13, as if that's normal."

One of the more notable Singular tracks is from Act I , "Sue Me." Sneakily disguised as a story about a romantic relationship, the song is Carpenter's response to being sued by her ex music managers: "That's my shape, I made the shadow/ That's my name, don't wear it out though/ Feelin' myself can't be illegal." Its tongue-in-cheek and snarky nature would inevitably embolden Carpenter to continue writing more confessional songs with attitude, whether she's responding to media scrutiny in "because i liked a boy" from 2022's emails i can't send , or warning a suitor to be careful in Short n' Sweet 's "Please, Please, Please."

Singular: Act I and Act II further helped demonstrate different facets of Carpenter's musicality, with the former leaning into pop tendencies and the latter embracing an R&B flair. And as her final albums with Hollywood Records, she used Singular: Act I and Act II to indicate that she wasn't going to let any sort of previous perceptions hold her back. Their coming-of-age themes showcased Carpenter as an artist coming into her own — regardless of whether listeners wanted to keep her in the Disney box or not.

Reintroducing Herself: Artistic Authenticity & The "Nonsense" Effect

While the world was going through a period of change amid the COVID-19 pandemic, so was Carpenter. She signed with Universal Music Group's Island Records in 2021, and soon she would be able to fully introduce the world to who Sabrina Carpenter is as an artist.

As she noted herself to Variety earlier this year, her 2022 LP, emails i can't send , "marked the beginning of a really freeing and artistic time for me." Once again, she co-wrote every song on the album; this time, though, she only had one co-writer for each track, and even wrote two songs solo ("emails i can't send" and "how many things") — proving that she was more assured as a songwriter than ever.

As a result, Carpenter's knack for confessional songwriting is on full display. emails i can't send represents a reflective time capsule of sorts; one that brings the curiosity of her earlier work with the perspective and wisdom of a young adult. Her growing fame meant there was more attention on her personal life, and emails i can't send allowed her to reclaim her narrative and express her side of the story.

Carpenter's candidness struck a chord with listeners, and upon the release of emails i can't send in July 2022, it was clear Carpenter was on a new trajectory. The album debuted at No. 23 on the Billboard 200, which marked her highest entry on the chart to date (as of press time); the 2022 stretch of her Emails I Can't Send Tour sold out in less than a day. And once  "Nonsense" was released as a single that November, her place as a rapidly rising star was solidified.

"Nonsense" was initially written as a means to an end after Carpenter was writing a sad song and had writer's block. Now, the track is the epitome of Carpenter's lyricism, weaving together her wit and humor with an infectious hook. First gaining traction on TikTok because of its catchiness, it's become a beloved part of Carpenter's canon thanks to her inventive and bespoke outros during her live shows. It's since become a tradition for fans to check to see what outro she created for each performance, adding to the fan fervor.

Carpenter further satiated fans' taste for her cheeky lyricism in March 2023, when she released emails i can't send fwd: , the deluxe version of her album, which featured a new track called "Feather." She took the playful, flirting energy of "Nonsense" and infused "Feather" with buoyant, airy production that mimics the feeling of self-liberation after moving on from a relationship. Earning Carpenter her first pop radio No. 1, "Feather" proved that the singer's audacious style was taking hold — and it set the stage for an even bigger 2024.

Becoming A Superstar: Eras Tour, "Espresso" & Beyond

After her own extensive — and very sold out — tour in support of Emails I Can't Send , Carpenter's rising star status was further confirmed by pop's current queen, Taylor Swift. The singer earned a coveted opening slot on Swift's monumental Eras Tour in Mexico, South America, Australia, and Asia.

Just after her last Eras Tour show in March 2024, Carpenter hinted that her own new era was beginning. "I'm starting to feel like I've outgrown the songs I'm singing," she admitted to Cosmopolitan , "which is always an exciting feeling because I think that means the next chapter is right around the corner."

That chapter began with "Espresso," which dropped a day before her debut Coachella performance. Doubling down on the playful, self-assured vibe of "Nonsense," the song immediately hinted that big things were coming for Carpenter, debuting at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it peaked at No. 3.

Upon announcing her sixth album, Short n' Sweet , Carpenter released "Please Please Please." Combining her now-signature playful, carefree lyricism with an airy, disco-tinged sound, "Please Please Please" didn't just present Carpenter as a confident superstar —  it became her first Hot 100-topping smash.

Carpenter has referred to Short n' Sweet as the "hot older sister" of emails i can't send. "It's my second 'big girl' album; it's a companion but it's not the same," she explained to Variety , to whom she also admitted she feels a "sense of separation" from her work prior to emails . "When it comes to having full creative control and being a full-fledged adult, I would consider this a sophomore album."

It's apt, then, that her Short n' Sweet collaborators — including songwriters Julia Michaels , Amy Allen and Steph Jones — are largely the same as the team from emails i can't send . "I've really honed in on the people that I love making music with," she told Rolling Stone in June.

Even more telling of the direction she's heading is her work with one of pop's hottest producers — and Swift's right-hand man — Jack Antonoff , for the first time. At a GRAMMY Museum event with Antonoff himself, Carpenter debuted the country-infused " Slim Pickins ," presenting yet another pop style from Short n' Sweet . And as "Slim Pickins," "Espresso" and "Please Please Please" indicate, Carpenter's knack for infectious and edgy lyrics isn't just the throughline across Short n' Sweet — it's become the epitome of both her artistry and her stardom.

Just like her metaphorical friend the tortoise, Carpenter's long but steady journey has clearly paid off. As she's figured out who she is on her own terms, she's manifested the bonafide superstardom she's always imagined.

"I never had the plan B, and it wasn't even a thought in my mind that it wouldn't work out," she told Rolling Stone . "I just always knew it was about not if it would happen but when it would happen."

For Carpenter, every chapter of her artistry has built on the last; she's refused to rest on her laurels and continuously pursued new directions. She's creating work that wholeheartedly reflects her, and growing a loyal fan base because of it. Her next album might be named Short n' Sweet , but her time as a pop superstar will be anything but.

12 Tricky NEW Disney World Hotel Hacks

By Jesus Garcia 1 Comment

Planning a trip to Disney World can be quite the challenge when it comes to where you’re going to stay.

yacht club disney meal plan

Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin

Let’s just say that you have plenty of options to choose from (there are more than 25 hotels). For sake of argument, let’s pretend that you’ve already booked your Disney World hotel. Now what? So glad you asked. We want to try and help you out by bringing you a whole list of Disney World hotel hacks for your viewing (and planning) pleasure!

Let’s get right into our 12 Disney World hotel hacks!

Find The BEST Hotel Rooms, Resort-Wide

Booking a Disney World hotel is a no-brainer especially if you’re after those perks like convenient transportation and being super close to the parks. But even at resorts that promise these perks, you might end up in a room that’s quite a hike away from actually being able to use them.

yacht club disney meal plan

Art of Animation

But don’t worry because we’ve got your back. We’ve done the legwork (literally) to find the most convenient rooms across all the Disney World resorts. We hit the ground running to locate the best rooms that maximize those perks, and I mean we counted the steps to these rooms so you don’t have to.

Skyliner Resorts

  • Art of Animation : Nemo Buildings are where it’s at. Rooms 5514, 5513, 4540, and 4539 are about 127 steps from the Skyliner.
  • Pop Century : The 60s buildings are prime. Specifically, rooms 5111, 5112, 4161, and 4162 are just 130 steps away.
  • Caribbean Beach : Rooms 4104 and 4102 (Jamaica buildings) are 194 steps via the pathway, but cut through the grass, and rooms 4130 and 4131 are only 130 steps away. Aruba’s rooms 5509 and 5510 are 164 steps from the Riviera Skyliner.
  • Riviera Resort : Rooms 5509 and 5510 are a quick 94 steps from the entrance to the Hollywood Studios side of the Skyliner.

If EPCOT is your main destination, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is practically on top of it (no Skyliner needed). The closest room, 1501, is just 245 steps from the International Gateway.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort

The Monorail Resorts

If you’re all about Magic Kingdom , the closest rooms are at Bay Lake Tower (part of the Contemporary Resort). Rooms 7111, 7109, 7132, and 7134 are about 1,006 steps from the gates, with 7132 and 7134 also being close to the main building and elevators. Also, they have an exterior exit door nearby that can give you access to the bus station walking path.

Get Party Tickets EARLY

As you know, Disney’s got a number of parties throughout the year. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is happening right now (on select nights from August 9th to October 31st, 2024) and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be coming on select nights from November 8th to December 20th, 2024.

yacht club disney meal plan

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Disney loves rewarding their resort guests with early access to party tickets. So, if you want first dibs, especially at lower prices, you’re going to want to book your Disney hotel stay before those early ticket release dates.

yacht club disney meal plan

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

In addition to those staying a Disney Resort, those staying at the Swan, Dolphin, or Shades of Green also get early ticket access.

Find the CHEAPEST Food Options for Your Family

All of the Disney World resorts have a ton of dining options, but if you’re hunting for the cheapest eats  on the property that still taste great and feed the whole crew, we’ve got you covered.

The best bang for your buck at most Disney resort over the quick services are going to be the family-sized pizzas. They run about $20+ and can easily feed a family of four.

yacht club disney meal plan

Trail’s End Restaurant

If you’re looking for something other than pizza, at Fort Wilderness, Trail’s End offers family meal deals like a full slab of BBQ ribs with sides for $32, or an 8-piece fried chicken meal for $29. These meals can stretch to feed 3-4 people, especially if you’ve got kiddos who zero in on the mac and cheese.

Also, Sebastian’s Bistro at Caribbean Beach has stepped up its game and now offers the cheapest all-you-can-eat meal on property for $38 per adult and $20 per child.

yacht club disney meal plan

Sebastian’s Bistro

If you’re really looking to save, you might want to consider ordering food via delivery apps like Grubhub, Uber Eats, or DoorDash. They’ll bring your food straight to your resort, but remember to factor in delivery fees, service fees, and tips to see if it’s really a better deal.

yacht club disney meal plan

Kroger Delivery

If you need groceries, try Kroger Delivery through their app. They’ve got a distribution center near Disney, which means that you can stock up without leaving your hotel. Just be sure to stay around the hotel when your order’s expected, or you can have it dropped off at the front desk (though Disney charges $6 for this service).

Stay at a Cheaper Resort but Take Advantage of the Deluxe Offers

For starters, you don’t need to drop $500+ a night to get a taste of the deluxe Disney experience. Even if you book a stay at a value or moderate resort, you can still hop over to one of the deluxe resorts during your trip. Disney’s got you covered with free transportation from their parks or Disney Springs, so you can easily check out the shops, restaurants, and activities at a deluxe resort. You won’t have access to their pools, gyms, or the extended evening hours in the parks, but that’s a small trade-off.

yacht club disney meal plan

Coronado Springs

Want to channel your inner Hannah Montana and get the best of both worlds? You can totally experience that Disney deluxe life without the premium price tag by trying one of these three options:

Option 1: Book a room at Gran Destino at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (a moderate resort).

  • Gran Destino brings all the deluxe vibes with its luxurious setup, including awesome pools, two gyms, and table-service dining galore. (Plus, there’s a rooftop fireworks-view lounge, Dahlia Lounge !) It’s also the only moderate resort on Disney property that offers Club-Level stays.
  • What’s so great about Club-Level rooms? Along with personalized concierge service, you’ll also get complimentary food and drinks! Many guests even plan a meal or two in the lounge, which can help offset the cost of the upgrade.
  • At Gran Destino’s Chronos Lounge , you’ll find continental breakfast in the morning, snacks and beverages in the afternoon, and tapas (aka small bites), wine, beer, and cocktails in the evenings. And the best part is that Gran Destino’s Club-Level rooms are often cheaper than a standard room at a deluxe resort.
  • The only downside is that since Coronado Springs is still considered a moderate resort, you won’t get those Extended Evening Hours perks.

Option 2: Try a “split stay.”

  • A split stay means that you book one Disney resort for the start of your trip and then transfer to another resort during the same vacation.
  • This way, you can enjoy a deluxe resort room (and all the perks like Extended Evening Hours ) for a day or two, then save money by staying at a more affordable value resort for the rest of your trip.
  • The great thing about this is that you don’t have to worry about lugging your stuff around either as Disney will transfer your luggage to your next resort for you! (Just let Bell Services know you’re switching hotels, fill out a quick form, and they’ll handle the rest.)

yacht club disney meal plan

Swan & Dolphin

Option 3: Snag a room at the Swan and Dolphin .

  • The Swan and Dolphin hotels are owned by Marriott but partnered with Disney, so you’ll get similar perks to a Disney deluxe resort at a typically lower price.
  • If you’re in the Marriott Bonvoy program, you’ll also earn rewards for your stay and can use points to book future stays, saving even more cash.
  • Even though it’s not Disney-owned, you’ll still get Early Theme Park Entry (30 minutes before the park opens) and Extended Evening Hours.
  • You’ll be staying in the heart of the EPCOT resort area, so you can easily walk to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and other nearby resorts, or take a Friendship Boat if you’re not feeling the walk.
  • Plus, you’ve got access to some fantastic dining spots that a lot of Disney guests don’t even know about, like Rosa Mexicano , Todd English’s Bluezoo , The Fountain , and self-serve Dole Whip at Fuel .

Book a Hotel With Free Food

Just a heads up, this hack is going to take you outside the Disney bubble because, unfortunately, Disney World resorts don’t offer free breakfast. Whether you’re staying at a value, moderate, or deluxe hotel, you’ll have to shell out for your morning bacon and eggs. The only exception is staying Club Level, where breakfast is included with your private lounge access.

But if you’re not about that Club Level price tag and still want a complimentary breakfast, you can score one at some non-Disney hotels nearby. It might take a bit of research, but it’s worth it.

yacht club disney meal plan

Drury Plaza Hotel near Disney Springs

One of our absolute faves is the Drury Plaza Lake Buena Vista , located in the Disney Springs area. Not only do they serve up a free continental breakfast every morning (Mickey waffle station, anyone?), but there’s also more where that came from.

yacht club disney meal plan

Our Mickey Waffle

Drury Plaza also offers a complimentary 5:30 PM “kickback” meal with snacks, cold drinks, beer, wine, mixed drinks, and more every night. While the menu changes daily, you can expect options like salad, soup, chili, pasta, baked potatoes, nachos, and sliders. It’s enough to count as a full dinner, meaning you’re saving serious cash on not just one meal, but two!

Find the 24 Hour Refill Stations

If you’re planning on getting a resort refill mug for your Disney World stay? Here’s a hack to make sure you get your money’s worth.

First, let’s break down the deal with Disney’s refillable mugs . These 16 oz. insulated mugs are sold at Disney hotels’ main counter service spots and come free if you add the Disney Dining Plan to your vacation package. Once you’ve got one, you can enjoy unlimited free refills on fountain drinks, coffee, and tea at participating beverage locations across Disney hotels for up to 14 days.

yacht club disney meal plan

Refillable Mug

Keep in mind that this only applies to Disney hotels, not the parks. But feel free to bring your mug along as you explore different resorts because refill stations are scattered across all Disney hotels, so you can grab a drink wherever you are.

Here’s the real kicker, while many drink stations close early with the restaurants, some resort pool bars have refill stations that stay open 24/7. That means you can get your soda fix any time, day or night. A few 24-hour refill stations we’ve found recently include:

  • Petals Pool Bar at Pop Century Resort
  • Banana Cabana at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
  • Drop Off Pool Bar at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Use one of these SECRET Hotel Discounts

And we’re back at the Swan and Dolphin because there are even more ways to save on your stay here. Let’s dive into these discounts!

  • AAA/CAA Members can save up to 25% on the best available rate at booking. The same discount applies to Law Enforcement, Military Personnel, Government Employees, Teachers, School Support Staff, and senior citizens (62+).
  • Healthcare Heroes like Nurses, Doctors, Firefighters, Paramedics, and Medical Personnel get a special appreciation rate, which changes depending on the time of year.
  • Florida Residents and Disney World Annual Passholders can save up to 30% off regular rates.
  • Anyone can save up to 20% by booking a pre-paid, non-refundable room in 2024. Also if you’re traveling with a crew and need more than one room, you can book a second guest room for up to 25% off a regular rate.

yacht club disney meal plan

Swan and Dolphin

Remember that Disney’s resorts also regularly promote special offers and discounts on their website, so always check the site for deals before booking at full price!

See a Hotel Parade!

A parade at a Disney World resort? Say what? There are actually TWO resort parades you might be able to catch during your Disney stay, depending on when you visit.

yacht club disney meal plan

It’s starting!

The first is at Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter during their Mardi Gras celebrations .

  • This year, the parade started at 10 AM EST near Building 80 at Port Orleans Riverside and wound through the resort, ending in the French Quarter courtyard.
  • The parade is a blast, featuring jazz bands, character appearances (like Princess Tiana in a horse-drawn carriage), and golf carts decked out as parade floats (made by resort guests!). You can even vote for your favorite float after the parade. And yes, there are plenty of Mardi Gras beads to collect in a family-friendly way.

yacht club disney meal plan

Halloween Golf Cart Parade Extravaganza

The second option is at Fort Wilderness , where you could see one of THREE seasonal golf cart parades: Fourth of July, Halloween, or Christmas.

  • These parades are guest-led, meaning campground guests started them as a fun vacation tradition, and now they’re a Fort Wilderness staple.
  • The parades usually kick off at the hitching area near the front entrance and follow the road through the Meadow section, passing by the judge’s tent where floats are scored based on creativity and theme.
  • The top six floats are chosen by the judges, and campground guests vote for the overall winner.
  • A week before the parade, sign up at the Bike Barn to get your lineup spot and order number. After that, just follow Disney’s rules to ensure everyone’s safety.
  • As for spectating, that’s trickier. This parade is super popular, so only guests staying at the campground can watch. No reservation, no parade-viewing for you.

Pack for SUCCESS

Listen, I get it. Keeping your hotel room organized might not be your top priority on a Disney World trip, but there are some super handy items that have made our stays way more convenient and organized by default.

Take compression packing cubes , for example. These things are game-changers! They work like vacuum sealers for your clothes. If you’ve got bulky items or just a ton of stuff to pack, these cubes help you squeeze everything into your suitcase without sacrificing your favorite outfits.

yacht club disney meal plan

Plus, at the end of your trip (when your stuff somehow magically expands), you can cram everything back into those cubes, avoiding the dreaded vacation Tetris as you try to repack.

View on Amazon

Another pro tip? Bring a foldable hamper . It keeps all your dirty laundry in one spot, making packing to go home easier.

yacht club disney meal plan

Also, you can use it to carry your clothes down to the laundry facilities available at every Disney World resort.

Speaking of laundry, one of the best parts about Disney’s laundry facilities is that you don’t have to babysit your clothes! Download the LaundryView app , which notifies you when your laundry is done. So, while your clothes are getting clean, you can go for a swim or grab a Dole Whip instead of watching your laundry spin.

Okay, let’s talk about your nightstand. One of the best ways we’ve found to avoid clutter is by investing in a 3-in-1 charging station , like the one we found on Amazon for Apple users.

yacht club disney meal plan

This nifty gadget charges your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods all at once, so no more tangled wires.

Also, you’ll want to consider packing a small, flat power strip with USB ports to plug in your charging station and your MagicBand+ if you’re using one.

yacht club disney meal plan

This way, all your devices will be fully charged and ready for a day at the parks.

Prioritize Reservations for NEW Resort Restaurants

If you didn’t know, there are some fresh new restaurants popping up at Disney resorts, and even more on the way! In the “new and now open” category, we’ve got the reimagined character dining buffet at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian Resort .

yacht club disney meal plan

1900 Park Fare

Coming soon, there’s The Cake Bake Shop , expected to open at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn later this year. (Fingers crossed—it’s been delayed a few times, but we’re hopeful!) So, here’s the deal, “New” in Disney World terms means “popular,” and that means reservations are going to fill up fast. So, make sure you’re on top of booking those advance dining reservations as soon as you can.

yacht club disney meal plan

Cake Bake Shop Construction

Typically, you can start booking Disney dining reservations 60 days before your meal, but if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you get a little extra magic. You can book reservations up to 60 days in advance plus the length of your stay (up to 10 days). This means you could snag a table at 1900 Park Fare up to 70 days ahead of time if you’re staying at a Disney resort (again depending on how long your trip is). This gives you a better shot at grabbing those high-demand tables before they’re all gone.

Take a Fireworks Cruise

Some of the Disney World hotels offer a way to make the nighttime fireworks even more magical and private! Now, Fireworks cruises might not be brand new, but they’re a fresh way to see the show from a whole new perspective.

yacht club disney meal plan

Fireworks Cruise

Here’s what you’re in for:

  • You’ll board a 25-foot pontoon that comfortably fits up to 10 guests.
  • Each cruise comes with a captain, snacks, drinks, piped-in music, and if you’re celebrating something special, you can request banners and balloons at no extra cost. Why not, right?

yacht club disney meal plan

Ferrytale Fireworks

The fireworks you’ll see depend on where your cruise departs from.

  • If your boat leaves from the Contemporary, Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian, Fort Wilderness, or Wilderness Lodge, you’ll catch the Happily Ever After show over Magic Kingdom.
  • If you set sail from the Yacht and Beach Club marina, you’ll get to see EPCOT’s latest fireworks spectacular, Luminous: The Symphony of Us, which just debuted this past December as part of Disney’s 100th Anniversary celebration. Expect a mix of fireworks, fountains, lasers, and classic Disney tunes.

Prices for these cruises start at $449 plus tax and vary depending on the day. To book, call (407) 939-7529 before your trip.

Self-Serve Dole Whip

Did you know that the power to control how much Dole Whip you swirl into your bowl is now in your hands?! Can you handle that kind of responsibility?

Over at the Swan and Dolphin’s grab-and-go spot called Fuel (located on the Dolphin side), you’ll find sandwiches, specialty coffees, and other elevated snacks, and they’ve got a DIY froyo bar too.

yacht club disney meal plan

There are tons of flavors to choose from like dulce de leche, New York Cheesecake, Strawberry and Mango Sunrise. But the real gem is that you can score that classic Pineapple Dole Whip straight from the self-serve machines. You can even mix it up with a Pineapple Dole Whip and Sweet Coconut swirl and then pile on whatever toppings your heart desires!

yacht club disney meal plan

All the toppings!

Dole Whip freedom never tasted so sweet, right? Just keep in mind that Fuel charges by the ounce (68 cents per ounce, to be exact), so if you get a little too swirl-happy, you might end up with quite a pricey treat!
