Testimonials

Adam Munday and AM Marine Ltd have helped regularly with maintenance and preparation of my boat, J/109 Jybe Talkin’. This work has varied from complete hull re-finishing, through to small but urgent jobs up the mast. The standard of workmanship and care has been excellent and equally importantly, it has been planned properly and completed to schedule. I am happy to recommend AM Marine Ltd to my friends and fellow boat owners”
“AM Marine have looked after two of our boats. With a diary that prevents me sailing as much as I would like, it is hugely reassuring to know that there is someone there, looking after the boat, doing the day to day work as well as the bigger jobs, with absolute confidence that all will be done to perfection. Adam has become an extended member of our sailing family”

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

As a family, including our 4 year old Labrador, we recently chartered a 'bareboat' yacht from Hamble Point Charters for 7 days to cruise the Solent. The company were fantastic from our first enquiry to handing back the boat. The yacht was clean and well presented. A great week and we will happily use them again!

We have just had another wonderful week on a yacht we chartered from Hamble Point Yacht Charters. We have sailed several of their boats, this time it was a lovely 35 foot Bavaria. Chartering from HPYC is always an easy choice for us: the boats are well maintained, support is excellent, and the staff are always super friendly and helpful. On top of that, Hamble Point is such an ideal starting location for sailing around the Solent.

This is truly a 5 * service. The team really looked after us both ashore on arrival and also while at sea. We were a relatively inexperienced crew but always felt the team ashore had our backs. Thoroughly recommended.

I just wanted to say Thank-you very much for the weekend charter. It was exactly what we were after (albeit cold!) plus Andy was an awesome teacher and great company. We’ll definitely be keen to book again soon!

We had a fabulous four days. Marina is ideally placed for the Solent, boat was in great condition, well equipped and a joy to sail. We were well briefed and the shore side team including the dog very friendly.

We charted one of the sailing yachts for a fantastic weekend cruise in the Solent. The boat was in superb condition and well equipped, the staff was very helpful explaining how things work on the yacht and there was also a video available with all the important information. 10/10 would recommend!

Had a fantastic week chartering Blue Otter, Alex was incredibly helpful and sent loads of information and date checking prior to booking. There was a handover video and both the handover and return were really smooth. The boat was lovely and well maintained and Lee was really helpful in recommending places to visit (and helping identify the steering issue as an autopilot takeover - doh!). Definitely will be back and would fully recommend!

Just back from a lovely week in the Solent. Great service from HPYC from first inquiry through to return handover. Very straightforward to deal with, and the yacht was in excellent condition. We've chartered from many companies in the UK and abroad and the attention to detail (and flawless inventory!) was second to none. Everything about the yacht and equipment had clearly been well looked after and was in immaculate condition. Great service, will use again.

Always very friendly service, and well-maintained yachts. Easy check-in and checkout. Will be back...

We had a great time and were very happy with everything. Your team were genuinely friendly and were very helpful when we needed it. Is a big contrast to many charter companies I have dealt with in the past.

Watching the sun go down with a glass of bubbly on the deck of a sparkling yacht was unbelievable. What a treat, and a much needed change of scenery in these troubled times. We will be back for sure

Fab service, nothing too much trouble, including my daft questions. I'll be a repeat customer for sure!

We had a great time sailing with Lee for a few days at the beginning of September. Hamble Point Yacht Charters supplied us an impeccable 45 ft Hanse yacht, which was handled with complete mastery by Captain Lee.It was a privilege to sail with Lee, who is clearly a highly skilled professional taking great pride in his work ... but who is also a fantastic character with a great sense of humour and plenty of fun stories to keep the whole family entertained. He balances the serious side of safety and learning about sailing with a whopping dose of amusement and good cheer. We sailed the Solent in some decent seas, visited Bucklers Hard on the banks of the Beaulieu River and learned lots about British nautical history. Our boys started somewhat of a fishing trend catching bass off the back of the boat in Portsmouth and we would love to sail with Lee again in the future. The man truly knows his stuff, maintained the boat impeccably and went to every effort to ensure that we had a great time. Many thanks to “Shippers” and Hamble Point Charters. We’ll be back.

Chartered bareboats with HPYC on numerous occasions most recently in Sept 2020. Always helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic weekend sailing on Loxley B. Boat in super condition and spotlessly clean, Alex. and the team very thorough and always on hand to answer any questions. A great experience. We will be back. Thank you!

Hi Veronika and Team Thank you for a fantastic day on Friday. Everything was perfect and ran like clockwork! We’re delighted with the boat and very pleased we chose the GT41 - it’s going to be perfect for us. We were also very touched by the gifts - a really kind gesture! The trip down to Plymouth went very smoothly and was a real experience, at about 20-24 knots most of the way, and we’re now safely moored in Plymouth for the year. Tim Ball was brilliant. Thank you all for helping us through the purchase process from start to finish - we’re really pleased we bought our new boat from Ancasta. All the best
Excellent work completed at a competitive price. Staff went the extra mile arranging sail laundering in a edition to the servicing and routine maintenance work
Greetings from Gibraltar. I just want to thank you all for such an amazing job getting Starseeker to handover in Gibraltar on 2nd August. I must admit that it was a bit of an emotional day for me because not only is the boat fabulous, but everyone has been so professional and helpful along the journey since I placed the order back in July 2022.  It has been a big learning curve for me as it is the first time I have ever bought a boat, let alone a new one.  What I have realised is that everyone involved is like a big family, and that it really matters that clients are delighted on handover. I really liked the little surprises on the day too.  At the commissioning meeting with Chris & Veronica I did comment about my love of a cuppa, and I was delighted to find a pack of Yorkshire Tea with cups ready for me to brew up. Everyone has done a great job, I cannot fault anything, and I am very grateful to you all for making my retirement plan a reality. Very best wishes. Steve
Purchased a new boat via Ancasta Services, the staff and service was outstanding. They went above our expectations and more. Huge thank you to Sean, Stuart, Veronika, Chris and all the team X
Contacted Ancasta parts department to get a part many said didn’t exist. The team not only got the part, but delivered it to Greece with all taxes included.A great service.
We were sailing in Panama when we has a transmission problem.we tried to find the repair parts in Panama, US and the Caribbean. Ancasta were the only company to have the parts, and get them sent out to us. they really went the extra mile as communication was very difficult whilst sailing.. Special Thank you to Jonathan Rodriguez
Thanks to the whole Ancasta Team and those at Ancasta Yacht Services for the very high standard of prep for the handover of our new Beneteau Oceanis 51.1, especially Paul Butler and Chris Date who looked after the commissioning. The boat looks amazing and sails like a dream; so happy with how we specified the rig and interior.
Please will you pass on my thanks to all the team at Ancasta. The service that all the people at Ancasta have given us has been excellent. I would especially like to thank Jarvis for all the work he has done in preparing the boat and for the very in-depth hand over day. Thank you all very much.

Living on a Boat in California: What you Need to Know (Best Liveaboard Marinas, Costs, etc)

Living on a Boat in California: What you Need to Know (Best Liveaboard Marinas, Costs, etc)

Living aboard your sailboat in California is probably the dream of your life. Or, a target you want to accomplish and then head to another marina or state. In any case, you want to know more information about life aboard in California. There’s no doubting that the liveaboard lifestyle can appeal to a wide range of people, both boaters and non-boaters. California is also a favorite place by many sailors and some of its marinas are preferred for the liveaboard life. With California’s housing crisis, many people have been scurrying to find alternate housing options. Some of them accept living on a boat rather than departing the state in pursuit of a more modest dwelling. So, keep reading in order to know more information about liveaboard life in California!

Introduction: Liveaboard Life in California

In general, living aboard a boat entails a simpler existence. It forces you to put your life on a diet. You place a greater emphasis on the fundamentals, whereas you are less concerned with material possessions. The necessity of downsizing forces one to go in that path. Moreover, it’s a more intimate way of life. You are aware of whatever anyone is doing, especially if you have kids. However, this isn’t always an advantage for the liveaboard life but it can be depending on your perspective. You can definitely tell the other person’s moods, manner, and more about what was going on in their life.

Being able to live comfortably aboard a boat necessitates having enough space. A wise person once stated that a boat shrinks by one foot every day, especially at sea. While this is an overstatement, boats definitely appear to be getting smaller over time. As a result, I advise choosing a boat that you will not outgrow rapidly, perhaps one size larger than the type you believe will suffice. It’s not supposed to be a camping trip, but it is about living comfortably and having enough space. A common question concerning most people about liveaboard life is if liveaboard slips are available and how much they cost. For instance, within Marina del Rey, there are around 15 different anchorages, each with its own set of norms and rules, including living aboard. Some don’t allow it at all, while others have a minimum size requirement, such as 35 feet.

Each marina has its own set of regulations and offers a variety of amenities such as pools, community areas, and parking. When it comes to living aboard, yacht clubs are a popular alternative. Note that the marinas normally charge an additional fee of around 50% for the liveaboard privilege, which helps to offset the increased energy, water, and other costs.

Generally, California is one of the most desirable places to reside . There are several causes for this. California is one of the most entertaining states in the country. Weed is legal, the population is youthful and diverse, and the economy is doing great. Moreover, there are many activities for sports and nature lovers as well as many marinas to choose from. The economy and the weather are the two most important factors.

And, if you plan to live aboard your boat, the weather is very important. This is because there are only about 33 days of rainfall in California each year. In other words, less than once a week. If you live on your boat, the exterior spaces make up a significant portion of your living space. You are effectively losing half of your home if you are forced to live below deck due to inclement weather. In California, this isn’t an issue.

Costs of Living Aboard in California

California, particularly Los Angeles, is a liberal state. However, your personality and preferences will play a big role in determining whether or not this is right for you . Note that your political beliefs should not determine where you choose to live. Los Angeles, on the other hand, is arguably the most left-wing metropolis in the country. This is neither good nor bad; it is simply something to be aware of. Furthermore, depending on the type of climate you choose, the temperature might be viewed as a positive or negative factor.

It’s time to think about where you’d like to reside once you’ve determined whether or not California is the state for you. For example, San Diego is significantly different from San Francisco in terms of lifestyle. There’s a lot to think about when comparing cities, much alone specific marinas. Renting a marina slip is similar to renting an apartment in terms of commitment. As a result, ensuring you choose the proper one is crucial. You can rent on a weekly basis without a contract, but you will lose your renter’s rights and it will be more expensive. Most marinas will give you a better deal if you sign a long-term contract. Both of you will benefit from the increased security.

The most important costs about the liveaboard life are slip fees, boat insurance, boat mortgage payments, gas, waste management, food, and water. Determining and sticking to a budget is the most effective strategy to control spending. Boat insurance can be as expensive as home insurance, depending on the size and value of the vessel. Because you won’t be heating, cooling, or lighting as much room, property taxes and electricity will be lower. You’ll almost certainly save money on waste management, gas, and water. Maintenance is an area where prices skyrocket. Marine parts and labor are typically more expensive than their domestic counterparts, sometimes by as much as 20%. Keep in mind that slip fees vary considerably depending on the county you will choose to live in.

Costs of Living Aboard a Boat in California

Liveaboard Lifestyle in California

In general, it is rewarding to live on the ocean. You have the freedom to travel, a community living at the docks, and a simple lifestyle to follow. Of course, living on a boat comes with its own set of difficulties. Rain and wind, for example, might pose some difficulties. Also, it’s possible that your next-door neighbor is less-than-ideal at times. It could be difficult if you’re next to someone who is loud or has an untidy boat. Most boating communities, on the other hand, are made up of people who are friendly, respectful of one another’s privacy, and collegial. For instance, the marinas in Ventura Harbor are quite welcoming to liveaboards, giving them a sense of a real boating community. Many liveaboards also have access to the Channel Islands National Park in the west and the mountains in the east.

Being a liveaboard helps to reduce the clutter that is common in land-based dwellings. It’s much simpler on a boat. You realize you don’t require much of the extra belongings you think you need. As a result, you’ll have more money to spend on other things. Outside of the country, you can do a lot of traveling. Living aboard a boat necessitates a willingness to let up material possessions. Learning to live tiny is the most difficult change, but it is also the most liberating, as dock parties, dinners, and events are all prevalent among most Californian marinas. You form friendships with folks you’ll meet during dinner with others.

Most liveaboards state that maintaining a boat can be difficult in California, but that with patience and hard effort, many concerns can be resolved. Everything has a learning curve to it. I don’t think you need to know much about boats to do it; all you need to do is be at ease with yourself and recognize that this isn’t a house; it’s different, and you just have to go with the flow.

The monthly costs of being a liveaboard might vary from one liveaboard to another. A liveaboard who lives aboard a 40-foot sailboat in a marina with a $20 per foot slip fee would pay the marina $800 per month. Electricity, bottom cleaning, topside cleaning, sewage, maintenance, insurance, and taxes are other important costs. These charges could increase monthly living expenses by $500 to $600 or more. Payments on the vessel, if any, are another potential monthly expense.

The Pros and Cons of the Liveaboard Life in California

Moving onboard can be a time-consuming procedure. You have to get rid of everything that won’t fit aboard the boat. This is because you intend to travel for a few years and don’t want to worry about storing your belongings. You might don’t care for the marina’s position as much as others, but the amenities and the community fulfill your needs and preferences. Other times you might really like the location but the marina doesn’t offer cheap slip fees or adequate amenities.

Being a liveaboard does have its drawbacks, however, the precise drawbacks differ from boater to boater. Being a liveaboard can be less expensive than living in a land-based home or apartment. But, the cost of living on a sailboat is ultimately determined by marina fees and the kind, size, and condition of the boat. For example, it’s not easy to find a liveaboard slip at any of the Port of Los Angeles marinas. Living aboard a boat is limited to 5% of available spots at each marina by the Port of Los Angeles. On the other hand, those who choose to live near the Cerritos Channel and the Port of Los Angeles’ East Basin will discover a unique blend of charm and challenges.

Another advantage of the liveaboard life is that you’re always on the water and aware of the weather conditions. Liveaboards may also choose specific marinas in order to make friendships, get away from the hustle and bustle, or just to change their way of living. A very important consideration for liveaboards is safety and security in the marina they choose to live in. Liveaboards detect if a boat is taking on water or if there is a boat that doesn’t belong here because they go by the marina every day. Liveaboards will notify the Port Police if they notice suspicious activity in their marina or the surrounding region because they are familiar with the area.

These are some of the most important questions you have to ask yourself. Is this the right way of life for me? Can I afford to properly maintain and repair my boat? Will I be able to work on board or from the marina of my choice? Is the marina where I want to live offering liveaboard slips right now? How long should I expect to have to wait to become a licensed liveaboard? Is my boat large enough for a family to live on? Will my family be at ease onboard? Will we be ready if something goes wrong with our boat, such as a costly repair or irreversible damage?

For individuals hoping for a quick resolution to their problem of high rent, living on a boat may cause more problems than it solves. Ocean enthusiasts with boating experience (or a desire to gain experience) and a desire to be a part of a close community – as well as patience and a willingness to be open-minded during the process of applying for liveaboard status – will find this a gratifying experience.

Pros and Cons of Living on a Boat in California

Permits and Prices in Certain California Marinas

Note that in all of Long Beach’s marinas, up to 230 liveaboards are permitted. Shoreline Marina in downtown Long Beach has the most liveaboards, with three vessels in Rainbow Harbor/Marina also serving as primary residences (3.5 percent of slip count). Avalon Harbor is home to a small number of boats, who enjoy active summers and occasionally stormy winters. Only a few liveaboard licenses are available on the central Orange County coast, and liveaboards are only allowed on the city’s offshore moorings. A liveaboard may occupy no more than 7% of all offshore moorings in Newport Harbor, according to city regulation. A couple of liveaboards can be found at Sunset Aquatic Park in Huntington Harbour.

Note that the cost of a liveaboard slip in Wilmington is generally lower than that of a marina in Long Beach or San Pedro. The Port of Los Angeles exclusively admits liveaboards for safety and security reasons. Only a few marina managers are liveaboards, and no marina owners dwell at these marinas.

Orange County’s southernmost harbor is in Dana Point Marina. To receive a liveaboard permit in Dana Point, a potential tenant must meet specific standards and pay the required rent and cost. For example, a liveaboard vessel has at least 140 square feet of usable area for one person and an extra 40 square feet for each tenant. The charge for a liveaboard is 40% of the basic slip rate. So, the owner of a 35-footer, the smallest boat allowed in a liveaboard spot, would pay $622 in rent plus $248.80 in liveaboard fees, in Dana Harbor. Liveaboards are also authorized in Redondo Beach and Marina del Rey; however, at Redondo Beach’s King Harbor Marina, liveaboards are not permitted to be near to or across from one another.

Owning the Right Boat, Being in the Right Place

Boats are costly, sometimes exceeding the average cost of a home in the United States, particularly if they meet the criteria for liveaboard status in some marinas. Aside from routine upkeep, persons interested in becoming liveaboards must choose the type of boat that will best meet their needs. Most marinas will have minimum boat size requirements for liveaboard status: it might be as small as a 25-footer or as large as a 30 or 35-footer, depending on the marina. Everything depends on the marina.

There are several trawlers and other boat designs available today that would make living onboard comparable to living in a floating condo, but those boats may come at a cost. If you buy a used boat for a low price, keep in mind that it may require a lot of maintenance. New boats that provide the comfort that some are looking for could cost more than $100,000, with some of the newer vessels costing significantly more than the typical home price. The size of the vessel may also be determined by the number of people living onboard. For example, for a single person, 25-foot vessels are preferable, however for a family of two or more, scaling up may be more convenient.

If you’re thinking of living on a boat, consider saving up enough money to get a newer boat. Spend a few hundred dollars on a marine surveyor once you’ve found the one you want. Like this, there will be no surprises down the road.

Every marina will have its own process for applying for liveaboard status. Some are run by municipalities, while others are run for profit by private companies. Depending on the popularity of the location, municipally-owned harbors will often have a significantly lower restriction or percentage of liveaboards. Note that in order to get a slip, you’ll usually have to wait a lengthy time.

One thing to keep in mind while deciding whether or not a liveaboard is good for you or your family is that while you own the boat, you do not own the boat slip. The marina is essentially renting the slip, which implies there may be an increase in slip rental prices at times. While owning a home provides equity, the value of a boat may depreciate over time. With slip payments, a boat payment (if you don’t own the boat outright), maintenance costs, and so on, living aboard a boat might be comparable to Southern California’s median rental expenses. In other words, living aboard is by no means a cheap or simple alternative.

Living on a Boat in California – The Bottom Line

Hopefully, you now have a solid idea of whether California is the right place for you. In the United States, there are a plethora of wonderful spots to live aboard your sailboat. And, California is unquestionably one of the best states in the country. However, prices can be really expensive. California is not cheap to live in, but you get what you pay for. Good weather, delicious food, and a plethora of activities. If you’re not sure if you want to live there full-time, spend your next holiday anchored at one of the marinas in order to get a grasp of things. It can offer you a taste of what your life might be like if you decide to go ahead and make the move.

So, are you interested in becoming a liveaboard in California? Many marinas provide detailed information to boaters regarding some of the factors involved, such as monthly rates and amenities available. Some marinas have quotas or other restrictions on how many liveaboards are allowed. Make sure to check each harbor’s or marina’s website to see if liveaboards are permitted. What are the rules for liveaboard tenants? Is there a liveaboard slips waiting list? What is the cost of a liveaboard? Also, ask about parking, security, restrooms, showers, communal areas, WiFi access, and proximity to restaurants, freeways, and shopping.

I wish that this article was helpful to your research about living aboard your sailboat in a Californian marina or harbor. Wish you all safe & pleasant voyages!

Just spent five nights in Bungalow #2. FOLKS, THIS IS SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO TRY AT LEAST ONCE!!!!  The location is super cool, literally on the water. The sunsets are amazing!!!! The bungalow is fully stocked (dishwasher, microwave, dishes, pots/pans, towels, etc) just no oven) There are only four bungalows so you don't have too many neighbors. Plenty of parking. WiFi yes. Fish off the dock, YES!!!  We literally parked  our car and never moved it.  There are 2 restaurants within walking distance. There is a grocery store a couple blocks away.  Hubby caught over 30 fish in and around the area. Me, only 12. . My only complaint would be the a/c noise. I am a light sleeper and the a/c was disrupting.  We can't wait to return and I say this when we haven't even fully unpacked. Bonus---every body who works in the Resort are AWESOME!!!!!  My rating---five+ stars!!!!!!

Mike R.

I stay here a couple times a month. These are fantastic. Absolutely love staying here.

Melissa B.

The bungalow was clean, had a great location on the delta the entire staff was friendly and helpful. We’ll be back again next year for our 3rd year in a row. ❤️

Rob J.

Beautiful setting with great sunsets on the deck. The place was well stocked in the kitchen and bathroom. Nice walking path around the marina. Our dog loved the grassy dog park. All encountered staff were friendly. Will definitely be back.

M. P.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sunset Bungalow. The unit is very clean and well appointed for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping staff is friendly and efficient, if anything is needed. This is the second time we’ve rented the unit. We had our golden retriever with us the first time, he enjoyed the dog park, deck, watching the various geese, ducks, and birds. The bungalows have become our “go to” rental when visiting family in the area.

Sheila R.

The bungalow was very clean and if I needed anything the staff was instantly there to help us. And everyone was so so so friendly. We loved it so much!! We will definitely stay there again.

Adrianne H

We had 4 couples who rented each of the bungalows and had a wonderful time. The location is more than perfect especially for boating during the day. The units are super cute and well maintained. We are looking forward to returning again soon!

Davina E.

We really enjoyed your beautiful riverfront property and highly recommend staying here. The amenities are all updated, the bedroom was nice and comfortable and the kitchen had all the cooking utensils. My grandchildren will have life time memories of the beautiful sunset!

Jaspal S.

I saw 6 otters, many ducks and geese, egrets, and several grey herons. Just magical. My favorite activity was sitting on the deck right after sundown and watching the fish jump out of the water. The entire marina is very clean, well run by friendly helpful staff.

Daniel H.

Always clean, friendly, accommodating, and seamless check-in through check-out. Stay here a couple times a summer while using our Zodiac to travel the Delta waterways for a few days. Highly recommended stay.

Moniqu Bob

We had such a wonderful time staying in the Bungalow’s! So clean with everything we needed!! The place has a beautiful deck! Ohhhh... the Sunset! The staff is absolutely the very best! So helpful!! The people are what bring you back! Vicki and Josiline are two of many that help set this place apart!! We booked 3 Bungalows in July for a family reunion and can’t wait! Thank you for making it a destination spot for us!!

Kendra M.

My father stayed in the ADA bungalow, he rides a scooter and has a hard time with mobility, this bungalow was PERFECT for him. Everything was just the right size, it was nice and clean, he had a ramp for his scooter and we fished right off the dock. Definitely going to rent this same one next year! Very pleased.

Judy R.

I really enjoyed this place. My husband loves to fish and I love to read. It was the perfect place for us. I especially love the cleanliness of the bungalow and the evening sunset was just breathtaking. Can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely charming!! So tranquil it's hard to believe you're in a city! Stopped on our way through so we only stayed one day/evening but really enjoyed such a peaceful break. Had dinner on site at Garlic Brothers. Yummy!? HIGHLY recommended!!!

Samantha H.

We had an amazing 4 night stay at the Bungalows at the Village West Marina. The grounds are beautiful, beautiful sunsets, awesome accommodations, AWESOME fishing right off our deck! The accommodations far exceeded my expectations. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and enough room for me, my husband, and our 10 year old son. We also had our bass boat at the marina. The Garlic Bro’s restaurant was great! We will definitely be returning in 2022!

Samantha H.

Vicky and her staff are wonderful to work with! The bungalows are always clean and extremely comfortable. We come up to Stockton for both business and pleasure and thoroughly enjoy staying here. We will definitely be back again next month!

Lorie C. S.

Well thought out layout and clean with a great sunset view.

Jen T.

We loved our very peaceful stay!

Tyler S.

I absolutely loved unit 1. We stayed in 1 & 2 and if it’s only 2 people I loved the open layout of 1. These bungalows are perfect for relaxing with great views. Vickie set me up with a slip for the boat. The patios on these units make them. They are huge and have great views of the sun sets. We will definitely be back. Thank you for everything

Charles E.

Comfortable, cozy and loved cooking out on the large deck overlooking the water, Simply Simple !

David P.

Great property and all of the people we came in contact with were great from check in to the housekeeping gals. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you again for a great stay.

Lovely bungalow with great furnishings and decor. Located inside Village West Marina, there is easy access to the boat ramp and great fishing. Also connected to the marina are two restaurants for great dining options. This a great base for anyone who wants explore and/or fish the San Joaquin Delta. The friendly staff makes the visit effortless.

Stephanie F.

This is a really cool studio. There are 4 bungalow's in a row, and you might think that you would not have any privacy, but the tree's in the decks offer a very nice bit of privacy. The view is of farmland and water right in front of your spacious deck. The beds are firm but very comfy, and almost no noise. Except Saturday night when the yacht club rocks a bit. The only problem is the decks face west and get very hot as the sun sets. You could try to eat by 6 or wait till 8:30. Or just go to the Garlic Brothers and have a real good meal. The TV only gets really old tv shows, but we are not adept at getting news on Netflix. Also there is an exercise club with a swimming pool and hot tub for a reasonable sum within walking distance.

Stephanie F.

James S.

The bungalow was very comfortable and nice. We came there to relax and fish and expectations was met. Need to have a fish cleaning station, and bait and tackle shop on the premises was nice but very expensive. Thanks for the good time though.

Bennet D.

Over all, a great experience. Vickie and her staff are very accommodating, and friendly. The bungalow was clean, and fresh, with all the amenities we could ask for. Fresh flowers were a nice touch. Very safe, and secure. Would rate five stars, if boat trailer parking we're available near the launch ramp.
Relaxing and perfect!

Garrett S.

This place was just what we needed. Clean, quiet and private. Caught 14 catfish off the deck. Only a 15 minute drive to wineries. Would definitely stay here again.

David S.

For the price of an average hotel room you can relax in a very well appointed bungalow on the water! Why not? Really enjoyed our stay in this clean and modern bungalow with all the comforts of home. Even had fresh flowers and Dove chocolates in the room upon arrival! The marina is a wonderful setting with terrific dining at Garlic Brothers. Will definitely return to the Bungalows when we visit Stockton again.
What a perfect location on the delta. From the amazing bungalows to the great restaurants and even better the late night and early morning boat rides. We will be back for sure. My kids are already asking when we are going back. Vickie does a great job. Thank you

Kim S.

I can't express how great the Vacation Rental was for us this past week. We ended up taking our ski boat for a quick, unplanned summer family vacation. Instead of driving home, we booked this for 2 nights. Since we came by boat with no car, we talked to Vickie and she set us up for a berth too that was close to the cottage for a nominal fee. Everything was perfect, and Vickie plus everyone we met could not have been nicer. The cottage has one bedroom with sliding glass door onto the huge deck. A fully stocked kitchen (no oven, but dishwasher and full refrigerator and microwave, plus a gas BBQ). Everything was new and in excellent condition. There were 4 of us, so we used the pull-out sleeper couch and one of us ended up sleeping on the deck too. They even take dogs. So lovely. 2 restaurants in the marina, but we only checked out Bob's for breakfast. Grocery store nearby too. After 2 days we wanted to stay 2 more, but they were booked. We will definitely be back soon. Five stars is not enough!

Jody L.

This is our second trip to the bungalows and I must say, the view, and peaceful atmosphere never gets old. Staff is accommodating and friendly. Bungalows are clean. We will continue to return.

Charles S.

Place was clean and new. Great view of the delta.

Deirdre W.

This unit has a nice view of the Delta. It is a good size for my husband, myself and our dogs. Tim provided excellent customer service by addressing our concerns and made things right. We would stay here again!

Suzanne C.

Wonderful place to come unwind.. Very peaceful

Mitzi C.

The weather was awesome! The deck was the perfect place to relax and view the scenery. Fishing was good during high tide. The room was spotless and was supplied with everything we could need. Restaurants were within walking distance. A perfect weekend getaway.

Marcie B.

Such a nice location and view. We found it to just a perfect place to relax and have friends join us on the patio. The weather was great. So much better than a hotel with the kitchenette and sitting room. We will stay here again if our travels bring us this way again. It is also a very quiet and peaceful location.

Charles B.

Nice and clean and very reasonable I really love staying there two days a week

Jeffrey S.

Everything was great. The weather was awesome. The unit we stayed in was new, very nicely decorated, well equipped and a great location. The 2 restaurants on site were really nice. The housekeeping staff was nice and overall awesome. They would ask if we needed anything and I said that I didn't they would go through a list to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything. The front office staff was also great. They were always helpful and just wanted to please. The only very small issue I had was with the launch ramp which was a little awkward to use. I found out that sometime soon they are going to get a tractor and will be able launch my boat for me. I will probably go for that option next time. We have been going to the Delta for years now and staying in a different area. This stay was every bit as good or even better and a lot easier to get to from Los Angeles. I really don't know why I am writing this review because next year there will be more people competing to stay there.

Mark R.

Would rent the cabin again and refer friends!
Beautiful place to stay

John S.

Great service. Great spot. Employees were helpful and very pleasant.

Will and Yolanda G.

Everything was great during our stay at the bungalows.

Will and Yolanda G.

Tracey L.

We are berthers at Village West Marina and thought it would be fun to have my brother and sister in law come and visit from Tucson AZ and stay in the new bungalows. We rented 2 units for 3 days and had a wonderful time! The units exceeded our expectations and were very comfortable with all accommodations you would ever need. Deck is large with plenty of seating and bbq worked great too. Vickie and the crew made this visit effortless and enjoyable for all of us. Now we are planning another stay soon! Guy & Tracey

Warren S.

Very clean and well furnished. Good location to visit Lodi wine country. Near to stores and shopping. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Easy check in and perfect place to stay!

Thom M.

My pets and I enjoyed our short time there, unfortunately we had to leave after one day of our four day vacation due to a medical emergency. I plan to visit again in the future and take advantage of all amenities.

Lyndall H.

Excellent accommodations in every respect. Very comfortable and relaxed setting. Would like to come back and stay longer.

Erica H.

Very enjoyable stay...can’t wait to go back!

Galen K.

Village West Marina's Deluxe "Delta" Vacation Bungalow is a great way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the California Delta. Featuring a full-service marina with two restaurants, boat launch, boat rentals, a convenience store and endless recreation opportunities - it's all at your fingertips. However, my experience had me simply enjoying the peaceful breeze and majestic views of Mt. Diablo. While the interior of the bungalow is immaculate with one of the most comfy beds you'll ever sleep on, the deck really steals the show. With 600-square feet of space, seating for 10, two lounge chairs, a loveseat and a nice table with umbrella, I found myself outside most of the time. Not to mention a brand-new propane grill that works wonders for a perfect barbecue on the water. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, dishes and cutlery with a microwave, dishwasher and brand-new fridge. It makes staying here feel just like home, but in a setting that is paradise. I recommend staying here for anyone trying to get away from it all. Locally, it's a great central location that allows for day trips to the coast or the mountains. It's also great as a destination. I was happy staying put and just enjoying 14-Mile Slough, the boats coming in and the abundance of Delta wildlife. Stay here, you won't be disappointed! It far exceeded my expectations! 5 stars.

hamble yacht care

Pleasantly surprised. Shower a little claustrophobic. Otherwise great. Thumbs up.

Rick W,

We loved this little cottage so much! So perfect for us and our dogs...the location was great for getting around Stockton. We loved the deck and outside areas, so relaxing. Easy access to walk your dogs and supplies to clean up after and a small dog park to boot! Everyone was so nice that we came in contact with. Place was clean and well equipped and included a bbq on the large deck, TVs in front room and bedroom and Netflix and full kitchen. Overall, a big win for us...we felt lucky to have found this little oasis. Loved waking up to seeing ducks gliding by in the morning...thank you!

Tim E.

Clean, cute, and quiet!

Charnell B.

Our first time using homeaway and this bungalow was clean, w/comfortable bed & bedding and did I say clean!! View of the marina boats and very peaceful. It rained both days but we loved it!! A perfect place for a getaway!!

Charnell B.

It's always a pleasure visiting up in Stockton and seeing everyone at Village Marina West! The cottages are always so lovely and clean!

Jeff B.

Very nice stay and convenient for marina tenants’ guests. Clean, comfortable, and quiet.

Erica C.

The property is beautiful and everyone at the Marina treated us awesome. We will be back for sure! Thank you Vickie!
Beautiful place to spend time with family and friends

Paul & Rhonda R.

Best deal on the Delta, bar none! Vickie and Tim are the best hosts and really care that everything is just right so that you enjoy your stay. Everyone we met, from the staff to the other boat owners, are so nice that you feel as if you already know everyone that you meet. Very peaceful and relaxing...as soon as you enter the property you feel as if you are somewhere away from everything even though you are only a mile from the freeway. Everything is clean and well kept...we'll definitely be back.

Paul & Rhonda R.

Jill C.

Great location and amenities, super people. Vickie and her team are awesome.

This property is unique in its location and offers a host of amenities to make for a comfortable and quite relaxing stay. The deck view cannot be beat.
What a great place to wake up too. Early morning coffee and breakfast on the deck was one of our favorite things to do.

Brand new, absolutely clean bungalow on the Delta's 18-mile slough. Big deck off the front side on the rivers edge. Comfortable seating for 10 people and a new gas BBQ. Reserved parking space at the bungalow and plenty of nearby also for any additional cars. Comfortable bed, comfortable sofa bed. Spotlessly clean! Will definitely return.
I loved this little bungalow. I had no idea something like this existed in Stockton. It was so peaceful and serene and the amenities were amazing. I definitely look forward to staying here again during my future Stockton trips!
Clean, Comfortable and love the large deck overlooking the water. We cooked out and enjoyed the evenings. Highly recommended for something different other than just a hotel room.
Your property was beautiful. We were able to get away and really relax. The bungalow was well equipped with everything needed. It was so clean and comfortable. We just loved it. The view on the deck was exceptional. From eating breakfast with the morning breeze to watching the sunset in the evening. It was so peaceful and extremely quiet. We both cannot wait to come back. I recommend these bungalows to anyone who would like to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Thanks so much for your hospitality.
We had a great mini vacation at Village West Marina. Bungalow 4 was very comfortable and clean. The entire facility including the launch ramp and slip provided for us was easy to use and readily accessible. Thank you Vickie!
Best kept secret on the Delta hate to give this five stars don’t want people to find it might get discovered !Bungalows are beautiful and so are the perfect views of Delta!
Wonderful. This bungalow was just as described, seems well designed and well maintained. Huge deck overlooking the water will be great in nice weather. Waking up to the view of the water is very calming. I'll absolutely be back! The best thing for me was how easy it was to have my dog there -- staying in hotels with the dog is miserable because he will bark every time a door opens/closes. This unit had enough separation from the three other bungalows and the boats that it worked perfectly. Also plenty of greenspace for the dog's business. The unit is very well designed to maximize space and amenities, some nice perks include ample electrical outlets, several with USB direct plug-ins; Open shelving and closet space in master bedroom with folding luggage rack; coat hooks along hallway; cozy blanket in living room; well equipped kitchen. A lot of little things that really add up to make it a fantastic stay. Very clean -- I walked around barefoot or in white socks, and my feet were clean! Hard to do with a laminate flooring. Bungalows are within a secured community. So it might be a challenge if you were hoping to get food delivered or have visitors. Community overall seems very well cared for. Communication with the host was a breeze.

We had such a wonderful time at this property - what a gem. This place has a lovely large deck right on the water where you can watch water fowl and the occasional boat going by. Behind the bungalow is the marina - more water and boats. It's so peaceful and yet you have all the amenities you need - even two restaurants on the property. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Yolanda G.

We recently rented several of the bungalows. The stay was absolutely perfect, from the start the bungalows are incredibly welcoming, spacious and comfortable. The decor makes you feel like being in a mini paradise. The kitchen area is well stocked and ready to prepare whatever kind of food you bring in, very convenient. Our families enjoyed several barbecues on the beautiful deck...grills were ready to go and are awesome. The sunsets were priceless! Overall, we give our stay at the Village West Marina an infinity thumbs up
Perfectly smooth, easy, quick. Excellent cottage, clean, well stocked with necessities. Great patio overlooking the water

Antoinette M.

This was our second stay....we celebrated my 60th birthday and enjoyed every moment. Thanks, Vickie

This was a great property and experience. The unit was so clean and bright and the view was really relaxing and beautiful. The unit can only be access through a gate to the marina so it felt really secure and was a quiet place. Only issue I had was an incorrect gate code, which was quickly remedied by a call to the number on my confirm. I made a change to my reservation too, which Vickie handled quickly. She was great to work with. The deck was really big and overlooking a channel of the river that had a lot of bird life and a massive field on the other side, so it was so quiet and peaceful outside. Two big trees provided outdoor shade during the day. The kitchenette was clean and perfect for my stay. Newer appliances and well maintained (microwave, nice sized fridge/freezer, rangetop, etc). Comfortable furniture and bed AND an air conditioner that kept up with the elevated outdoor temps that topped 100. I hope to visit again soon.
We rent 2-3 units every year. Great mini vacation can’t wait to come back.

Susan S.

We loved our stay at the sunset bungalow! It was just the right size for 2, and we loved the open floor plan, made it seem larger! And really nicely decorated. Everything you need is there, just bring your food, drinks and clothes. The deck right off the bungalow was perfect, with beautiful sunsets every night. My husband fished right off the deck and caught a lot of catfish, he was very happy! The grounds are also beautiful, really well kept. One night we had takeout from the Garlic Brothers restaurant, it was delicious, plus so convenient. We will definitely be returning to the sunset bungalow. So happy we discovered it!

Jesse G.

Bungalow #2 is #1 We expected fun but received so much more!!! The location was safe clean and comfortable. The welcoming staff made sure we had what we needed which was nothing as this unit has everything you need, only thing missing is an oven. We fished off the deck and caught 30+ over the five days we were there. It was jut the two of us, the bed is queen sized, comfortable but small. The bathroom has all you need ( no tub), and the living area was comfortable with excellent Wi-Fi and TV. Only complaint, the air conditioning unit is loud and disruptive to this light sleeper. And when we took showers, the fire alarm went off (maintenance was made aware of this) We rate this spot an A+, the customer service an A+, the surrounding s an A+, and those sunsets off the balcony, breathtaking every night!!!! We will be back!!!!

George R.

Our stay at the Village West Marina Bungalows was amazing. My wife and I have stayed there 3 times in the last month and a half. Before our last trip, we planned one for next month. This place is so beautiful and peaceful. I am looking forward to our next trip. I only wish that they had more bungalows to rent. To wake up each morning and be on this property is a real treat and I would recommend it to anyone.

Carmen W.

This place is fantastic... I really enjoyed staying here..it was very comfortable and cpzy

Cynthia D.

Exactly as described in their listing. Pictures are accurate. Cozy bungalow by the water was everything we hoped. The nature scene, the quiet deck was all we wished for. Bbq grill and kitchen with dishes and utensils and dishwasher was extremely helpful. Garlic’s Restaurant was delicious and very affordable. We were able to dine outside the beautiful marina during Covid 19 also. The only thing that could be improved is the WiFi, which was spotty at best so Netflix was also compromised. I’m coming back;)

Sharel S.

My hubby, myself and 2 small dogs had a great get away in Bungalow #2. I was surprised at how incredibly quiet and tranquil it was. Honestly, I was not excited about this being located in Stockton but I will go back for sure. Everything was clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The only small detail was if you are a cook (which I am) there is very little work counterspace to lay out chopping area and supplies for meal prep. This is not a deal breaker as everything else far out weighed this little detail. We will book here again.

Melanie P.

Vickie was great, helped with a few issues we had, none of which were her fault! We ate at Bobs one day, and the food was great! The bungalow was adorable, clean and comfortable, the deck and bbq was a perfect for hanging out on! Beautiful Sunsets!

Tina H.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Village West Bungalow #2. You can see some of the BEST sunsets on The Delta from Village West Marina. We enjoyed a wonderful brunch on the deck and great dingy rides up the San Joaquin River. We are planning on coming back later this summer and next summer!
We’ve stayed here several times when visiting My girlfriend’s family in Stockton. And every time I tell her, “Lets plan to spend more time just hanging out at the bungalow“. This time we were able to do that a little more and it was very nice. It’s so relaxing to wake up and have breakfast and coffee out on the deck in the morning, watching the kayaks and bass boats pass slowly by. These cabins are very well provisioned. They have everything you need for a weekend (or longer) stay. I’m sure we will return and I’m sure I’ll do my best to schedule more time lounging by the delta.

Dominga G.

With all the problems going on with the world today it can leave you with such a negative mind. We decided to try Village West out for the very first time. We like the fact that it was private and clean. Our packets were left in the bungalow so we didnt have to worry about wearing a mask. We loved hearing all the birds and being next to the water. It put us in touch with nature. My husband and I loved it! We will definitely come back. Thankyou so much for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable.

Ronald D.

This property is in a great location and on the water with nice views off the deck. Plenty of room and chairs on the deck for entertaining and a well equipped kitchen for those staying a while. It was quiet and with access to a great restaurant and bar. It worked very well for us as we visited someone with a boat in the covered dock area.

Maria G.

Perfect place in my opinion! Wouldn’t go anywhere else! Thank you for always being SO GREAT!

Joanne C.

We live in Stockton but needed a place for guests to sleep. This worked out as a perfect venue for them. The bungalows are nicely decorated, and a perfect location overlooking the Delta.

Carol H.

This property far exceeds the posting, it's a must see hide away in Stockton! Great views, wonderful restaurants, boat rentals and a market near by! Staff is friendly and makes this by far one of the nicest places in Stockton to stay!

Darlene R.

We reserved the Bungalow which was wonderful, and slept four! We reserved a RV site, and my brother reserved a boat space! Five sibling, and spouse's, we had a blast, and the Bungalow porch area was the perfect gathering place to all be together for relaxing, and eating together ! The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Gene C.

We were super impressed! This was a quick overnight on our way south but we could really see staying and enjoying the area, esp if we brought our kayaks. It was clean and well supplied. We loved cooking our own food and sitting on the deck in the evening and morning and enjoying watching the delta wildlife. It is great to know there is a walking trail and restaurants to go to for next time. We highly recommend the Vacation Bungalows! If we could ask for one change it would be better (blackout) shades on the bedroom window facing the marina....there was a lot of light even with the shades closed. Thanks!

Melissa H.

Absolutely loved staying here, we are so glad we happened to find these, they were so cute, clean, relaxing and just all around a great place. We have definitely found our spot to stay anytime we come back to Stockton to visit! Could not be happier with it

Greg G.

Exactly as advertised. Very relaxing deck looking over the water. Great place to chill and watch the sun set.

Lorie M.

We just happened upon this little piece of heaven and thoroughly enjoyed being on the delta. The bungalow is very nicely decorated and the deck was probably the best part! Overlooking the delta, with comfortable furnishings, we enjoyed our evenings with a glass of wine and a beautiful sunset.

Larry P.

We rented this place for a three day weekend and was everything we could ask for. It’s right on the water, they have boat slips available and the condo was pretty well stocked. We had friends also stay at the RV part of the property which made it nice to be able to go back and forth from the bungalow to the RV part of the property. Check in was easy and the proximity to everything such as the stores and restaurants are great. We will be coming back for sure! Vickie was great, thanks for a good weekend!

Jeff S.

The amenities included in these bungalows were beyond our expectations. From "state of the art" kitchen appliances, smart TVs, fast and free internet, to a fully stocked bathroom, and a nice Dove chocolate candy dish... everything was provided. Then there is the outside deck. Complete with a patio dining set, two chaise loungers and a propane plumbed BBQ, there was really little need to go inside... except for drink ice from the provided ice maker. And as quiet and tranquil as the morning experience was, we were not alone... geese, duck, turtles and river otters kept us company and entertained. This is definitely an experience that should be on everyone's list. We will be going back for sure. Oh, and the view... doesn't get much better!
This is my second time staying and I love the bungalows! It’s so cute, peaceful and had everything you need. The only issue was the single cup brewer wasn’t working but they resolved it very quickly. I can’t wait to stay again! Thank you 🙂

Steven W.

My girlfriend and I were so relaxed and comfortable we were depressed because we had to leave. You'd think we'd been there a week instead of two nights. The dishes and utensils and other equipment worked great. It was a bargain.

Barbara W.

Impressive, organized check in process. Deposit was promptly refunded. The bungalow is beautifully furnished, very private location, amazing sunset. Highly recommend this experience.

Kellye G.

The Riverside Bungalow is a lovely property in a secure location at the Marina. It was very comfortable with many extras, including welcome flowers and chocolates. The reserved parking close to the Bungalow was convenient and the view from the porch was so peaceful! Two yummy restaurants at the entrance to the Marina are within walking distance and a grocery store is located close by. A superb stay!

Ronnie and Kathleen

First of all thank you for your thoughtful gesture of the flowers, candy and balloon. The place was even better than the pictures. We loved grilling and relaxing on the deck. We'll definitely be back again.

Ronnie and Kathleen

My girl and I loved it! Three nights and I never got tired of the view. It's like your on the delta all by yourself. Everything was clean, the equipment worked perfect. All we had to do was have a good time. And we did--on the delta.

Katrina O.

From my Yelp review: We've stayed here twice in two different units and it's perfect for my needs! FYI- They get great reviews on VRBO... The sunsets here are stunning. The large deck is outstanding and we grilled often during our stay. BBQ was easy to use. My BF fished off the deck (allowed) and caught and released 5 fish the first two days. The last day the water Dropped (don't know why) and it was not a good fishing day. The units are all very well appointed and are well designed. Smart TVs, plenty of outlets with USB, etc. full kitchen except oven. Like most places, You'll want to bring any of your own spices or condiments, though there is a good variety of Coffee options provided. The best thing for me is the pet friendly vibe and the separation from other units. If we went to a hotel, My pup would bark every time a door opens. Here, these are free standing bungalows with a good amount of quiet and my dog barked only 1x in 3 days. Woohoo! Everyone wins! Also-- very clean!!!!

Kevin G.

The little bungalows have everything you need. The deck is spacious. We fished off the deck but didn't catch anything. It was so peaceful being close to the water and much quieter than I expected. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Samuel C.

Cornelia and I had a wonderful time staying at the bungalows. We enjoyed them so much. The property was clean and well put together. Everything was perfect. We got to get away from home and still be close enough to home to take care of our babies. The nights on the patio enjoying an adult beverage with those amazing sunsets were stunning. Garlic Brothers had some great food and their staff treated us like family. We are looking forward to our next stay at the bungalows. Our compliments to Vickie and her staff.

Kathy P.

The Bungalows exceeded our expectations. They were decorated very nice , the appliances were state of the art . The Bungalows are new and clean . The decks are large and we used the bbq. The sunsets are amazing ! Very secure and safe . We definitely will be staying often .
These bungalows are a Tranquil piece of heaven and truly a hidden gem. We enjoyed a full week of front seat sunsets and boat/ nature watching. It truly felt like a retreat! Staff was accommodating and cheerful. Bungalow was tastefully decorated and had most amenities needed for meal preparations. We will definitely be returning for another rejuvenating experience.

Cassidy M.

This was such a well needed trip and due to how busy we are we were not able to go far due to living in tracy ca so stockton was just perfect and it felt like a million miles away from home. This was truly what was needed. Down to restaurants being so close and the kitchen it saved us a lot of money and was able to truly enjoy my family for the weekend will be coming back soooon.

John L.

Our stay was superb! Our Bungalow was designer decorated and equipped with all the amenities needed for a perfect stay. There is a large deck with an abundance of patio furniture and a gas barbecue. The views from the deck were spectacular both day and night. It made us feel like we were on our own little Island. With two great restaurants in the Marina and the wine country close by, how could we ask for more. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Glenn R.

My husband and I spent three nights at Bungalow #4. It was amazing! The amenities that these units offer are top notch. There is a full kitchen, living area, bath, and bedroom with a queen bed. We were a little anxious about the size of the bed as we are used to sleeping in a king bed, but it was perfect! Plenty of room.
A perfect place to spend a weekend.. Very nice accommodations, with beautiful views.

Kathy J.

We had a peaceful stay. The area was clean and the staffing was friendly and helpful. Definitely plan to go back.

Michael A.

Had a relaxing stay it this clean, new, and modern bungalow. I will stay again.

Linda B.

All the comforts of home. Quiet. Private. Would use more often except for the 3-night minimum. Understandable with Covid going around. It will always be my first choice when in town.

Tom S.

I was in town for work and the Bungalows were a perfect place to rest. I will absolutely stay here again if I am in the area.

Craig S.

I needed a place for a month. This was perfect for my dog and me. Room on the grounds for him to play and fantastic sunsets overlooking Mount Diablo for me.

Mrs M.

We had a wonderful stay and an amazing view. It was so peaceful and private. The bungalow was perfect size and was clean. The location was perfect and close to shopping and restaurants. Definitely will stay again and recommend this place to anyone else looking for a peaceful place to stay in this area.

Matthew O.

We Found the Village West Marina Bungalows on the website BringFido.Com The Very private Bungalows are located directly on the river. With private docks faces the west. The sunsets were just absolutely breathtaking every night. The wildlife was an added bonus. Geese, ducks, turtles, river otters, and I heard that even seals can visit From time to time. We did rent a boat slip for our ski boat. Which was easily accessible directly from our bungalow. & We enjoyed the easy access to the Delta. water skiing, fishing, and hours of adventure. The Bungalows are clean, and fully stocked. They also are a top of the line construction. And are very solid. Our (2)dogs really had fun. The property is pet friendly. There are pet stations located everywhere. For picking up after your pets. They also have an enclosed, double gated entry, dog park, with a doggie playground. Our dogs had a blast, meeting and playing with other dogs. There are (2) restaurant located on the property. Garlic Brothers & Bobs - which has the best breakfast ever. Both restaurants have indoor, and outdoor seating available. directly on the river. Bobs is pet friendly. The staff is top of the line. And are available anytime. The property does also have 24hour security. We are already planning a family trip…. & Each family group is renting their own Bungalow…. This is a “must” experience hidden gem I would rate the Bungalows @ Village West Marina more than 5 stars if I could…. Can’t wait to return.

Modesta J.

The bungalows was referred to me by my daughter who stayed there multiple times so I wanted to see myself. Now I understand and enjoyed my stay and will recommend it to friends and family.

Lenette B.

This is our 10th reservation, to say the least we absolutely ENJOY this place. The office staff Samantha & Ebony are great! All of the housekeepers, grounds personnel and security are delightful 😀! Peace & Serenity!

Vanessa H.

Great place to stay! Quiet and relaxing! It has everything you need. The bed was very comfortable!

Sandra M.

Recommend this property. Very quiet location with beautiful views. Very clean and well taken care of. I would stay here again in when I am in the area.

Anthony B.

The premises were exceptionally clean. I had reviewed prior reviews which complained about the scratch uni of the sheets, this is one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. High-quality towels. Spotlessly clean. Fabulous restaurant on site. The only hiccup we had was spotty Internet which I’m assuming was due to local construction Going on at the marina during our stay, otherwise wonderful stay and we will definitely be coming back.

Sophia N.

This diamond in the ruff of Stockton is amazing. The accommodations are spectacular, clean, the views of the water in the delta and the view of the not-so-far-off container ships are amazing.

Carrie B.

I loved staying at the Bungalows for a few weeks of my travel nurse assignment in the area. The views are unbelievable, and the marina was very quiet and safe. Also, superbly enjoyed eating at Bobs on the marina everyday after work!

Dora M.

The most quaint sweet bungalows that transport you to another place though you are just minutes from home.

Rob G.

Best view in Stockton and an equally as fabulous a property. Hosts were lovely and it has everything you need! 10/10 would recommend and stay again!

Jo T.

Arrived after 3 easiest check in ever! Greeted by Otters playing in the water off the deck! Very clean and comfortable! After unpacking and getting organized sat on the deck with a glass of wine and enjoyed the beautiful peaceful view!

A. V.

I loved the deck and the view. We had BBQ with friends, watching the sunset and the wildlife. Everything inside the bungalow is beautiful and clean. I definitely recommend staying here.

Jozella

It had all the amenities we wanted for a nice delta getaway, clean, safe, amazing sunsets, we grilled almost everyday, pet friendly, walkable to two eating places, grocery store nearby. Good location to explore the delta area. We can’t wait to book again someday.

Tom M.

The bungalow was immaculate when I arrived and very comfortable. I will stay there again on my next visit to Stockton.
This is my second stay at the bungalows. I enjoyed the stay. Everyone is very kind and helpful. Units are very well kept and clean. Area is very quiet and secure. Will stay here again next time I am in the area.

Chelsi B.

We stay in the bungalows 5-6 times a season and absolutely love everything about it. This time- the weather was a tad off from the norm which forced us to slow down and just veg. We had so much fun watching movies & laughing as a family. Then got on the water and got a taste of summer. Thank you Village West

Helen H.

The Delta with its stands of rushes, small islands, and full-throated birdsong was right outside our door, just superb. The Marina feels utterly safe, immaculate, quiet and friendly. Bungalow 3 was delightful, although the sofa bed is not comfortable for sleep. We would have appreciated a personal welcome and introduction to the electronics, as we had no heat at first, and the security system was confusing. Kitchen is well-equipped but has no room for food except the fridge. Basics such as jam, oil, seasonings, etc. are not supplied.

Heidi L.

Perfect little place, on a great marina with fantastic restaurants

Harold W.

It was so nice being right on the water. We loved seeing and hearing the Canada geese and seeing the wildlife along the riverbank. Sunsets were great. It is always windy in Stockton so you cannot always enjoy the deck as much as one might like, but the view and seeing the water both mornings and evenings made this the best place we’ve ever stayed in Stockton.

Alisha H.

Property was well kept... Spent our 10 year anniversary here. Loved it very peaceful.
Property was clean and pristine condition. The deck and view of the canal are awesome and are the best part of this stay.

Ashley T.

This property truly is a neat little package! We fished successfully right off the deck as advertised. The cottage was sweet and had everything we needed for a great weekend. Private parking space, coded gate at entrance, with peace and quiet on the Delta. Perfect if you own a boat or vessel and rent a slip - so convenient!!

Portia L.

This was our fourth stay in Bungalow 4. Everything was as expected….very good. Peaceful, clean and quite comfortable.
