Go take the catamaran tour! 2 hours of sights...dolphins, lots of dolphins. We saw many historic sights! We saw our first spoonbill that looked like a flamingo ONLY because of its pink color. We went fast. We went slow. We road the waves! Go take the tour don't hesitate. Best $$$ you will spend in St. August The owner was GREAT! Communication was also really good before trip.

Book this tour!!!!!! Absolutely amazing and fun tour! We saw dolphins right next to us! Got to explore the Matanzas River and have so much fun driving the mini boats. Seeing the fort from the water was really neat! Absolutely recommend!!

this is our second time using blue water adventure and all i can say is an amazing experience from beginning to end. We were supposed to go out at a 9 am and the boat had issues, so Jeremy moved us to a different slot the same day (which we were all ok with) and was accommodating in every single way. while we were out yesterday we decided last minute that we wanted to extend our time so we could watch the fireworks from the water. We called and Jeremy was amazing and accommodated us last minute.. Our captain for the fireworks tour JT was great and informative. If you are looking to go out for the day and rent a boat i 10000000000% recommend using this company. we will be using them again in the near future that is for sure.

Absolutely the most fun we've had in St. Augustine. We've been coming to St. Augustine every summer for 6 years and find very few excursion options. When I found these I was excited but wasn't expecting what we got. These 2 seater catamarans exceeded our expectations. Our guide and captain JT was awesome. He provided us with waters, sunblock and sunglasses for our tour. We saw dolphin, rode past landmarks, and had open water free fun with the catamaran for over 2 hours.I would definitely recommend this excursion. We had 11 people in our group including 3 kids under 12 and not one of us were disappointed. We talked about how fun it was for the next few hours and how we will be booking this next year for sure.

Excellent way to tour Saint Augustine from the water.  Our guide, JT, was knowledgeable and personable, and ensured everyone stayed safe on the water. He made the tour fun for the entire group, which included people of varying ages and abilities. Due to JT's expertise, we were able to see multiple pods of dolphins surfacing just a few feet from our boat, and he even documented our trip in photos and provided them to us!  Highly recommend Bluewater Adventure if your plans include a trip to Saint Augustine.

Booking via email was easy and BWA were communicative and helpful. We arrived to find free parking right beside the dock, along with a toilet block (I strongly advise you pee before you head out on a 3 hr adventure!) so you can change afterwards, because you are going to get WET! If you aren't wet you haven't had enough fun! JT gave us a huge friendly welcome and he was happy and approachable the entire time and encouraged us to get crazy on the Cats....as if we needed encouragement...lol! Luckily there were only 2 couples that day, so after a quick intro lesson on how to drive the Cats we convoyed out behind JT like ducklings. We immediately spotted pink birds on the banks (spoon or hornbills?) and we puttered over to see them close up. It is a no wake slow zone initially so you have time to get used to driving the cat and settle in before you go into the river and get crazy. Maneuvering the cat is very simple so don't worry, even a child can drive one. Once we were in the river we convoyed down at greater speed, while JT pointed out the flora and fauna, and historical buildings, stopping to give us more details about certain things. We also spotted a type of hammer head shark so we followed it along the bank as it hunted, and JT filled us in on what it was doing, hunting tactics, what it ate, etc. We pulled up onto an island at one point and JT got his fishing net out to catch small fish to show us, and we found a variety of inhabited sea shells, along with more pink spoonbills. We also stopped at the fort while JT filled us in on the history of the area and how the fort was built. St Augustine has a very diverse history which is fascinating. Plus quite a few bridges which you will go under in your Cat. Then it was fun time! We found a spot in the river that was wide and quiet and JT gave us a zone where we could play safely, while keeping an eye out for other boats. When you are sitting close to the water with a huge outboard engine behind your seat and you are skimming along at 35mph it is quite an exhilarating experience!! When you throw donuts into the mix it gets even better! JT encouraged us to whizz by him at speed while he took photos, gave us tips on how to do a tighter donut, and generally directed us in our mayhem and merriment. Both hubby and I took turns in trying to outdo each others antics, we couldn't stop laughing, and it was such a fantastic experience. You will definitely blast away any stress while you are driving a Cat! Obviously we hammed it up for the camera so we had funny holiday photos, which JT kindly sent via email/dropbox before we even got back from our vacation. It is expensive compared to some other mainstream activities in the area, but for 3 hours of extreme adventure and happiness it is definitely worth every cent. This is something that is soooo different, even if you are used to boats, as you are so close to the water. Fury, a 65-foot s ailing catamaran, sets sail along the inland waterway from Beaches Marina in Vilano. This large, open catamaran can hold 100 passengers and offers great views for everyone aboard. 

The Fury sails daily at 3:00 p.m. for a two-hour dolphin cruise and 6:15 p.m. for a two-hour sunset cruise. The routes will depend on the wind because Fury's captain and crew delight in sailing the boat for their passengers. Cruises usually sail along the bayfront, the Intracoastal Waterway, Salt Run, and near the fort. While the boat moves under the power of the wind, the crew will point out marine life, historic areas, and landmarks. 

Each cruise on the Fury includes soft drinks, beer, wine, and margaritas. Sunset cruises feature live music and small bites along with the drinks.

The Fury is available for private parties, weddings , and special events with up to 100 guests.

Welcome to St. Augustine Scenic Cruise!!

Since the 1900’s St. Augustine Scenic Cruise has been giving visitors to St. Augustine a unique view of the city and a way to enjoy St. Augustine’s historic land marks and natural beauty.

The Usina’s were among settlers from the island of Minorca, located off the coast of Spain, finally settling in St. Augustine in 1777. Many of their descendants remain in St. Augustine today. In 1900 Captain Frank Usina and his wife, Catherine, could not return to Miami were he had been working as a carpenter on the Miami train station because of an outbreak of yellow fever.

They settled in the area known today as North Beach, then accessible only by boat. Henry Flagler approached Frank and his wife, asking them to hold oyster roasts for friends and guests staying at his Ponce De Leon Hotel, now Flagler College, and the Alcazar Hotel, now the Lightner Museum. The outings to North Beach became a regular attraction, and thus, the family boat business was born. Initially starting with a chartered launch, Frank ferried guests to and from North Beach for Minorcan Style dinners, oysters, music, dancing and sightseeing along the Matanzas Bay. Shortly thereafter, Frank purchased a 45′ launch stuck on a mud bar. He repaired, refinished and christened it the Victory , replacing the chartered launch, but remaining at the helm as Captain.

The narrative is that all boat tours are the same.

The stereotypical tourist-trap that cruise along at 10 mph, long mundane tour scripts, and crowded decks. But, this isn't an accurate description for  Bluewater Adventure’s sightseeing and sunset cruises! At a speed of 35 mph, these sporty boat tours allow passengers to get an unparalleled view of historical sites while getting semi-close to dolphins, manatees, sea birds, and other vegetation and wildlife - without the risks of a jet ski or the boundaries of a boat!

1. the guides know their stuff..

As a local, it's pretty difficult to dazzle me with facts about St. Augustine - I've heard it all. I'm aware that the Great Cross is 208 feet tall and weighs in at a whopping 70 tons; I'm familiar with the fact that after 23 years of hard labor, the Castillo de San Marcos was finally finished in 1672; St. Augustine is home to the Nation's Oldest Port (the St. Augustine Lighthouse) which sits 165 feet above sea level and has 219 steps to climb. Well, these guides are not only in the catamaran-tours business - they are also in the bizarre St. Augustine and wildlife facts business. The unique and interesting material they shared was just as refreshing as the occasional splash from the Matanzas River and the complimentary cold bottle of water.

2. Yep, you can drive the catamaran.

One of the unique parts of this tour versus other boat tours is the ability to drive your own boat. This is a definite advantage for those who really enjoy a more hands-on experience. Their CraigCat® patented horizontal catamaran boats have a small boat design which offers great responsiveness, stability, and sporty handling like a big boat. These boats are easy to get the hang of driving-wise and pack a big punch for such a compact design.

3. You are one with Matanzas River.

As corny as this heading is, it's entirely factual. Catamarans are sporty, sleek and quiet - kind of like a shark - giving them a huge competitive edge against loud water vehicles like boats, pontoons, and jet skis. During the sightseeing tour I went on, we were able to sneak up on a pod of dolphins (prompting interesting facts about dolphins); cruised aside a bird in flight; the guides even know where the manatees hang!

We had an amazing time that we will always remember! We loved the beauty of being out on the water and the thrilling adventure of driving the boat. Nick, our guide, was so knowledgeable and made it a great trip!

I took my 10-year-old son out with Captain Nick for the first time ever last week. We both loved it. Captain Nick was awesome. He has incredible knowledge of the local history and the waters. It was an absolute blast and we will definitely do it again

This morning was one of the most fun times we've had in Hilton head Captain Tom was fantastic the equipment was Supurb. Great fun for the value

We went on Blue Water Adventures for my husbands birthday. We had a blast! Bailey was our guide and he was fun and engaging! Taught us some history about the surrounding islands and lores. We are locals and will definitely go again in the near future. Totally worth it.

Had an incredible time on this excursion! Bailey was our guide and he was great! You should definitely request for him and go on this wonderful adventure! We saw a few dolphins on it as well so if you wanna see dolphins and have fun go on this!

I would highly recommend this! It was the best part of the vacation. They were very friendly, explained everything very well and we had a great day on the water. So much fun, I can't wait to do it again!
