A £90m superyacht owned by one of the world's richest men has docked in Cornwall.

The 2,293 ton Cloudbreak is owned by London-based Russian banker Alexander Svetakov, who is worth an estimated £1.82bn.

The massive 72m vessel, which is capable of 15 knots thanks to its Caterpillar engines, dwarfed many of the boats around it as it anchored in Falmouth .

Cloudbreak arrived, with a complement of crew, this morning (November 10) - and members of staff were seen loading and unloading the yacht for hours.

Cloudbreak was built by Abeking & Rasmussen, a shipyard near Bremen, Germany, and was delivered in 2016.

It was designed by Espen Øino , a world renowned designer and naval architect who is behind some of the most iconic superyachts.

Christian Liaigre, a French interior designer and architect, is responsible for the sumptuous and striking interior.

Cloudbreak: On board the 75.3m 'floating chalet' superyacht

The 75.3 metre Abeking & Rasmussen explorer yacht Cloudbreak is the perfect platform for a circumnavigation

In some ways the story of Cloudbreak is one you’ve already heard — a man who could not find the yacht he really wanted, so set out to build his own. The result, though, is a yacht the likes of which you’ve never seen, a high-tech floating “chalet” with a superyacht helideck (certified for commercial use) for its custom Bell 429 Global Ranger, a ski room, a fireplace and the largest toy chest ever built. The yacht owes her name to a wave in Fiji that daring surfers rank among their favourites. And it’s very apt.

There is no need to meet Cloudbreak ’s owner to understand that he is young, fit and adventurous. That is obvious from the fast boats he carries on board, the air tender (which the pilot calls an “amazing machine controlled basically by three iPads and a joystick”), the dynamic-looking crew, the extensive fitness and spa area and the amazing sound and light systems.

Two of the owner’s passions are surfing and heli-skiing and, as every skier knows, a big part of the experience is après-ski. The yacht’s soothing sauna, massage room and chilled plunge pool provide the ultimate in relaxation after a day of biting cold and strenuous downhill action. Cloudbreak also switches into party mode quickly with an array of lights and speakers.

“ Cloudbreak is for an outdoorsman and a lover of nature,” says the yacht’s Norwegian-born designer Espen Øino , himself a “fanatic skier” and watersports amateur. At the launch party, the owner remarked how close the yacht — poised to embark on the first of many adventures — was to the first sketch that Øino gave him.

The designer credits the owner, who provided a list detailing every single piece of equipment, toy, tender and board he expected Cloudbreak to carry – all of it “very valuable input” in deciding specifications. It’s clear that they were kindred spirits. When the owner asked for outdoor beds, Øino, who lives in Monaco but remains in touch with his Nordic roots, did not hesitate. “Outdoors people really love to sleep outside,” he says.

But The Revenant this isn’t; guests and charter clients on board Cloudbreak will not be roughing it. Yes, this 75.3 metre steel vessel has an ice belt and possesses the spirit of an explorer, including what Øino calls an “integral wave breaker” in the inclined bulwark forward, but she’s also a luxurious and sophisticated yacht, evidenced by little touches such as automated doors and heated floors in the showers.

Much of Cloudbreak’s refinement stems from the original and subtle interior design by Christian Liaigre . This is the French architect/designer’s fifth yacht and his second large motor yacht interior (the first, a 55 metre Amels , is strictly private). Guillaume Rolland, a Breton and lifelong sailor, heads Liaigre’s yachting division and his work is informed by his profound understanding of the ocean environment.

The owner built Cloudbreak to cruise in areas where the weather can be extreme, "so it was very important to create a welcoming ambience,” says Rolland. “[He] also didn’t want a dark environment. These were the guidelines that we used to create a comforting colour palette.”

  • The greatest Christian Liaigre-designed yachts

Quite. The décor is anything but dull or uniform. A liquidambar veneer adds contrast to lighter woods, such as Hornbeam on the floors, brushed or scored pine and oak added for texture, and lacquered surfaces. Rolland aimed to emulate the warm and welcoming atmosphere of a chalet, but his interpretation is far removed from the wooden A-frame with antlers over the fireplace. “It’s just timeless, beautiful design,” says Jim Evans, managing director of SuperYachtsMonaco , the company that sold and managed Cloudbreak from construction to charter.

It’s also a little “techie” — aeroplane interiors informed an interesting treatment of the guest cabins’ outer walls, painted with lacquer and curved to give the impression of a shell. The shapely white surface picks up and amplifies the light flowing from the portholes during the day. It is one of several ways the interior designer has modulated and amplified the perception of space on board Cloudbreak . Curves are a bit of leitmotiv and hard angles are few on this yacht. “I have spent enough time on boats to know what a sharp angle feels like,” says Rolland.

A standout interior feature, both visually and conveniently, is a 60 metre long corridor on the lower deck that leads directly from  Cloudbreak ’s huge beach club — formed by a massive transom door plus a gym, sauna and massage area — to the five guest cabins and crew quarters. “It’s never pleasant to leave the sauna or the gym and have to walk in front of everyone in the saloon. This way you can return straight to your cabin,” says Rolland.

Technically speaking, this seemingly simple solution was a challenge, because the corridor goes through the upper level of  Cloudbreak ’s engine room. It’s perfectly soundproofed and decorated with a succession of arch-like features that provide natural-looking light. It’s not until a well-concealed door is opened that the rumble of two 16-cylinder Caterpillar engines (the generators are enclosed in soundproofed compartments) becomes evident.

“It was a huge effort for the shipyard to install this corridor here because they had to rethink the whole ventilation system for the engine room,” says Till von Krause, director of sales at Abeking & Rasmussen . The soundproofing, on the other hand, is one of the builder’s specialities – its commercial division has built minesweepers.

Another eye-catching space on board Cloudbreak is the winter garden on the upper deck. “We had endless discussions about whether this is an interior or exterior space and I don’t know that we fully resolved it,” says von Krause in jest. Nevertheless, it works perfectly well as both. The large space, furnished with low seating and tables, can be fully enclosed with glass and heated, or opened completely to become an exterior space.

Below, the outdoor space of the main deck aft has been given over to store Cloudbreak ’s two large tenders. “The tenders are so enormous that you couldn’t fit them within the watertight-bulkhead position [without interfering with stability],” Øino says. A system of louvres conceals these tenders from view while allowing light in.

The rest of the toys – and there are many, from a high-powered Centurion Enzo wake boat with a gantry “that blasts you with enormous sound”, in Evans’s words, to a slew of inflatables tightly packed in colorful boxes, including a giant pineapple and toucan — are stored inside a cavernous garage forward of Cloudbreak ’s master suite. It’s worth noting that even this functional space is neatly finished and painted, as are all technical spaces on board.

The tank deck is an example of beautiful engineering and space planning in support of a yacht’s mission — she needs to be self-reliant in remote areas. Based on a naval platform closely related to the Abeking & Rasmussen yacht Aviva , Cloudbreak has a similar vertical bow but longer hull lines, which has allowed the envelope to be pushed a bit further in terms of efficiency.

  • Aviva: Inside the 98.4m Abeking & Rasmussen flagship yacht

Her range is around 8,750 nautical miles at 12 knots, but autonomy is not just about the fuel, it’s also about the ability to carry supplies, fresh food, make fresh water and treat and store waste until Cloudbreak reaches a port with sufficient infrastructure. Aside from two large messes for the crew, complete with a practical galley to feed up to 22 of them, this deck is dedicated to machinery, with a massive sewage treatment plant, air-conditioning room, freezers, fridges and stores.

It is what happens above the water line, though, that will fire the imagination of adventure-seekers. On Cloudbreak ’s main deck is an itinerary-viewing room at the entrance of the saloon, where low seating faces a row of screens. The ultimate infotainment system for an explorer yacht, YachtEye, from Oculus Technologies, pulls information directly from the bridge and combines it with Google Earth images to provide visually appealing 3D information as to heading, location, speed and more.

Above the saloon and informal dining area, which is furnished with an unusual triangular table and sofas looking out of floor-to-ceiling windows, is  Cloudbreak ’s huge panoramic upper saloon. Above that, forward of the helideck, is a circular room with a cinematic screen to view the day’s action recorded on GoPro cameras. Skiers returning from an expedition on the helicopter will be able to drop their gear, warm up inside with a drink and review the day’s action on screen.

Right behind it is a glass-enclosed superyacht elevator to reach the owner’s suite on the main deck and the guest cabins on the lower deck. Flexibility is built into the accommodation, with one cabin that can be used for crew or guests, depending on need. There's even a cabin for the helicopter pilot (although the helicopter is not available for charter guests).

The helideck, complete with refuelling facility, doubles as the party deck. California Audio Technology provided and installed the marine-grade speakers and woofers scattered through Cloudbreak ’s decks. Some are permanent features, rising from underneath the decking or inserted into the superstructure; others can be tied to the railing around the helideck for a party. An extensive set of lights — on deck and under water — with myriad colour combinations, completes the party scene.

More contemplative is a private space half a level above the bridge, complete with Cloudbreak ’s pool (it is large enough for 10 people, so you could still make it part of the party). Above is a sofa and beds, which can be enclosed with nets, for nights spent under the celestial vault. And then higher still is a private crow’s nest, providing a fantastic viewpoint.

A cruise in Norway proved its usefulness. “You go into these fjords and it is like a lake – you just look up to the mountain and when you come around a turn, you don’t know what to expect. The forward view is important and also the ability to look up,” says Øino, who received daily updates from Cloudbreak ’s enthusiastic owner while the yacht was in Norway.

Keen on details, the owner mapped out the yacht’s itinerary with the same attention that he brought to Cloudbreak ’s construction, says Evans, who met him eight years ago. The first meeting they had was quite brief and business imperatives brought an abrupt end to it. However, the several years that followed were put to good use.

“He chartered a lot,” says Evans, who formed a precise idea of exactly what he needed. It was during a charter trip aboard Senses that he met Max Cumming, who he eventually recruited as one of Cloudbreak ’s two captains on rotation. Cumming, who caught the exploration bug early on in his career while cruising the Northwest Passage aboard the converted tug Itasca , is thrilled to have found another owner who “cheers this kind of adventuring”.

To assist him in his task is a multi-talented crew (with degrees in everything from surfing science and sound engineering to graphic design, as well as a slew of certifications from beautician to paramedic). The professional and attractively designed bridge on Cloudbreak offers him many views of the ocean, including one below the surface thanks to a forward-looking sonar from FarSounder.

Cumming also believes in old-fashioned skills — a sextant is an unexpected addition to the high-tech bridge. “I call it ‘Captain Cook navigation’,” he says. “Act as if you are the first guy there, don’t believe anyone or rely on charts, use your eyes.” Technology and experience will come in handy as Cloudbreak steers away from the yacht-beaten path, visiting exotic destinations including Madagascar and Mozambique but also Papua New Guinea and the mostly uninhabited Chagos Islands. Cloudbreak is playing within the rules but she may have broken the mould.

Cloudbreak is available for charter with SuperYachtsMonaco in Southeast Asia, Seychelles and the Maldives.

It comes after one of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s yachts docked in Aberdeen earlier this year.

Elysian was built in Germany by Bremen-based company Lurssen Yachts.

Previously named Ester III, the luxury yacht was owned by Russian entrepreneur Georgy Bedzhamov.

However, Henry acquired it in 2016.

Superyacht has swimming pool, gym and helipad

Elysian ranks among the top five per cent of the world’s largest yachts, according to Boat International .

The superyacht has an outdoor swimming pool, a spa centre, a gym and a helipad among its features.

Mr Henry’s gem can accommodate up to 12 guests in six staterooms, and 17 crew members in separate quarters.

Liverpool FC owner’s £66 million superyacht spotted off Broughty Ferry

Elysian, owned American businessman John W Henry, has a helipad and heated pool.

A £66 million superyacht belonging to Liverpool FC owner John W Henry has been spotted off Broughty Ferry.

Elysian, a 66-metre-long vessel, docked in the Tay – between Broughty Ferry and Tayport – on Monday morning.

It travelled to the Tay from Aberdeen, where it was berthed over the weekend.

Locals said those on board the luxury yacht appeared to be using a smaller boat to reach the shore.

Superyacht Elysian visits the Tay

It is understood Henry was among them.

The yacht has since moved out towards Barry Buddon.

One onlooker said: “I think it belongs to the owner of a Premier League football team as I’d read it was up in Aberdeen yesterday .

“We were walking along the beach this morning when we spotted it.

The Elysian travels across the Tay

“You think they’d rather be in the Mediterranean at this time of year with a boat like that.”

Elysian’s arrival in the Tay was mentioned by  Liverpool fan group KopTalkTV on YouTube .

In the video, the host said: “Don’t assume that he is in the UK just because the yacht’s in the UK.

John Henry’s superyacht spotted off Broughty Ferry after Liverpool game

“Maybe if you see him at the game then he’s obviously there, and what happened – he turned up at the game .”

The reason for the visit has not been confirmed but some locals have speculated Henry may be heading to the Old Course in St Andrews.

The yacht, which sails under the Cayman Islands flag, was built in Germany.

With a top speed of 16.5 knots, it has an outdoor swimming pool, helipad, spa centre and gym and glass lift.

A superyacht belonging to billionaire Liverpool owner John W Henry was spotted in Scottish waters this weekend during a trip around the country.

The 10-year-old vessel, which is 66-metres-long, was pictured in Aberdeen , after appearing in the harbour on Saturday, August 24 after leaving Leith.

The boat , which was built in 2014, was bought by the Liverpool FC owner, thought to be worth $5billion, in 2016. And it sailed to the Granite City as the owner took in his side's 2-0 Premier League win over Brentford at Anfield.

The superyacht.

Aberdeen Live reports there was no sign of the American in Aberdeen, and that the yacht departed on Monday, heading south along the east coast.

Henry first took over the English footballing giants back in 2010 when Fenway Sports Group purchased Liverpool, with the group also owning American baseball outfit Boston Red Sox.

Originally built under the name Ester III and delivered in 2014 by German company Lurssen. On its website, Lurssen states "Elysian features strong lines and an extraordinary deck layout and near-vertical bow.

Superyacht sinks latest: Investigators reveal where bodies were found as probe looks at 'crew's responsibility'

Italian officials revealed at a news conference there could be "a question of manslaughter" as they opened a shipwreck investigation and said the probe is also looking at the "crew's responsibility".

  • Eyewitness: Sombre scenes greet rescue teams as final body is brought ashore
  • Live reporting by Niamh Lynch

We're ending our live coverage for this evening but here is a recap of what we know:

  • Prosecutors have opened a manslaughter investigation into the Bayesian sinking;
  • Officials have revealed more details on their investigation and the difficult five-day rescue mission;
  • The six bodies found during the search in recent days were all in cabins on the left-hand - and highest - side of the ship. Five were found in the first cabin and the sixth was found in the third;
  • Prosecutors said the six passengers were most likely asleep when the boat sank;
  • The probe is now focusing on the crew and their responsibilities, with the captain set to undergo more questioning.

Monday 19 August

The Bayesian yacht, flying a British flag, sinks at around 5am local time when the area was hit by a tornado.

Fifteen people are rescued from the 56 metre vessel - including a mother and baby - but another seven remain missing.

One body, later confirmed to be the yacht's chef Recaldo Thomas, is found near the wreck.

It emerges that British technology tycoon Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter Hannah are among six people that remain missing.

Tuesday 20 August

The search continues for the six tourists missing.

It is reported that among those missing are Morgan Stanley International chairman Jonathan Bloomer; his wife, Judy Bloomer; Clifford Chance lawyer Chris Morvillo; and his wife, Neda Morvillo.

Police divers try to reach the hull of the ship, resting at a depth of 50 metres.

Italy's fire brigade Vigili del Fuoco say early inspections of the wreck were "unsuccessful" because of limited access to the bridge and furniture obstructing passages.

The operation is later described as "complex", with divers limited to 12-minute underwater shifts.

Tributes pour in for Mr Thomas, with his friend Gareth Williams saying: "I can talk for everyone that knew him when I say he was a well-loved, kind human being with a calm spirit."

Wednesday 21 August

The search for the six people unaccounted for enters a third day, with crews carrying out inspections of the yacht's internal hull.

A team of four British inspectors from the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) arrive in Porticello to look at the site of the sinking.

A helicopter is drafted in to help with the search effort and remotely controlled underwater vehicles are being used, with naval units and cave divers also taking part in the search.

Five bodies are found inside the yacht on Wednesday afternoon. Only four of them are brought to shore.

Body bags are seen being taken to Porticello in the afternoon where dozens of emergency services staff wait.

Searches finish for the day just before 7.30pm.

Thursday 22 August

The search resumes for the remaining missing person.

The body of the fifth missing person, found but not recovered the previous day, is brought to shore.

A fire service boat with flashing blue lights returns with a blue body bag to the port of Porticello just after 8.45am local time on Thursday.

Tributes pour in for Mr Lynch and Mr and Mrs Bloomer after they are identified as having died.

The search is called off at around 8pm in Sicily, with divers expected to begin again at 6.30am on Friday.

Friday 23  August

The search continues for the final person missing from the wreck of the Bayesian, Hannah Lynch.

Vincenzo Zagarola, of the Italian Coastguard, says the search for Hannah has not been "easy or quick", comparing the sunken yacht to an "18-storey building full of water".

The coastguard confirms in the late morning that her body has been found.

A green body bag is brought to the port of Porticello from the site of the sinking.

A spokesperson announces on behalf of the Lynch family that they are "devastated" and "in shock" after the deaths of Mike and Hannah.

Hannah's sister Esme pays tribute to her "little angel".

Saturday 24 August

A press conference is held in the court of an Italian town, Termini Imerese.

Public prosecutor Ambrogio Cartosio tells reporters that his office has opened an initial investigation against unknown persons into manslaughter and negligent shipwreck.

As the focus now turns to the manslaughter investigation, here's another reminder of the seven victims of the sinking and the 15 people who survived.

A close friend of the Lynch family has added to the chorus of tributes for British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, who died in Monday's superyacht sinking.

Susannah Gurdun, who lives in Suffolk, recalled being "daunted" when she first met Mr Lynch at a dinner party, before discovering he was "so much more than the corporate cliche".

"He was riveting.  He was funny, and kind, and endlessly interesting; capable of talking about anything and everything," she said.

Ms Gardun said the businessman also had a "thrilling ability" to make complicated subjects "accessible to those of us less blessed with a science acumen".

"In particular, he was wonderful with children.  I will never forget hearing him explain to a group of them - including our ten year old son - the physics of why the sky went pink at sunset," she said.

She went on describe Mr Lynch as a "true genius" and "phenomenal creative".

Ms Gardun said his daughter Hannah was also showing "serious literary promise", and added that it was "beyond tragic that we will never know where her own particular brilliance might have led".

"I still feel blessed to have shared that time with them in Spain.  Not just because I witnessed Mike’s incredible storytelling; but because I was given a chance of understanding what that moment said about all four of them as a united vibrant loving family," she said.

"He was an extraordinary human being and it was - truly - a privilege to have known him."

A yacht crew member who survived the sinking has paid tribute to Hannah Lynch, calling her a "diamond in a sea of stars".

Sasha Murray, chief stewardess of the Bayesian, has released a statement after divers recovered the final missing body from the wreckage, which is believed to be 18-year-old Hannah.

"Those who knew her will know that Hannah was a diamond in a sea of stars," she said.

"Bright, beautiful and always shining. What most people may not have seen was the extraordinarily strong, deep and loving relationship she shared with her parents, whom she adored more than anything.

"While swimming with them she often said, if anything ever happened she would save them.

"I have no doubt that the Irish, Latina fire that burns in her soul kept that spirited determination alive."

Ms Murray's statement comes as a new image of Hannah Lynch and her father Mike Lynch is released:

Prosecutors announced in this morning's news conference that they have opened a manslaughter and negligent shipwreck investigation.

Officials were unable to answer several queries from the media, saying they needed time to establish the facts, but what are the key questions facing prosecutors?

Why weren't passengers who remained on board the vessel warned about escaping from the yacht?

The prosecutor in charge of the case, Raffaele Cammarano, suggested that some passengers may have been asleep when others were awake.

Asked why they were not woken up or alerted, he said that is something investigators are trying to work out from the statements of the survivors.

He called it an "essential" part of the inquiry.

Why were several of the passengers in one cabin?

The press conference heard several bodies onboard the sunken yacht were found in a single cabin which was not theirs.

Mr Cammarano said investigators currently do not know the reason for them being discovered in the same cabin.

The chief of the Palermo fire service, Bentivoglio Fiandra, said the yacht pinned to the right and suggested people tried to go on the other side, taking refuge in cabins in the higher part of the wreck.

Why did the boat sink?

The vessel had been deemed "unsinkable" by its manufacturer - Italian shipyard Perini Navi.

The Bayesian was hit by a downburst, according to Mr Cammarano, which are powerful winds that descend from a thunderstorm and spread out quickly once they hit the ground.

Officials will look into the safety equipment on the sunken vessel.

Mr Cammarano was asked about whether there is a black box and if the hatches were left open.

He said investigators do not have exact information about the black box and that the first phase of the inquiry will look into it.

Why were nearby vessels not similarly affected?

Another yacht, the Sir Robert BP, was about 150 to 200 metres from the Bayesian when extreme weather hit.

Its crew helped to rescue 15 people from the stricken vessel.

Italian officials said they would be looking at how the downburst could affect one vehicle and not other nearby vessels.

What weather warnings was the Bayesian alerted to?

Maritime director of western Sicily, Rear Admiral Raffaele Macauda, said the weather at the time of the yacht's sinking was abnormal and there was nothing to suggest such an extreme situation would arise.

He said there were forecasts of winds and a storm alert, but there was no warning of a tornado.

"Given that the conditions were such, there wasn't anything to suggest there could be an extreme situation arising," he said.

"There are vessels that can monitor, after all, these events and one would have thought that the captain had taken precautions."

How long will it take to recover the sailing vessel?

Mr Macauda could not confirm how long it would take to retrieve the shipwreck of the sunken yacht.

"Everything depends on the availability of the owners and the timeframe of the retrieval of the wreck and of course all that has to be submitted to the port authorities and in parallel of course there will be the inquiry results and it's only really then that we will be able to authorise the operation," he said.

"I can't say, like some experts who have already spoken on the subject, [said] that it will be eight weeks."

He made clear that the owners will bear the full cost of retrieval, although he could not estimate the figure.

Italian authorities detailed the challenging and meticulous rescue operation to recover the six missing people from the Bayesian wreck (see 9.18am post).

But why was the five-day search so difficult?

More on this morning's press conference.

One of the main updates from prosecutors was that they have opened manslaughter and shipwreck investigations after the deaths of seven people in the Bayesian sinking.

Watch the announcement below...

Prosecutors have given a lengthy news conference this morning on their investigation into the sinking of the Bayesian.

Read the full report on the prosecutors' probe below...

Marine investigator James Wilkes has been speaking to Sky News after this morning's press conference.

"Naturally, there are more questions than there are substantive answers at the moment - that's the nature of investigative work.

"Something forced that yacht to roll beyond its nominal stability limits, such that it wasn't able to right itself with the ingress of a certain amount of seawater that was coming into the yacht.

"So the investigators are going to ask themselves one initial question - what must the conditions have been for this to happen?

"Then they are going to look at the contributing factors to the yacht, sinking, and, and the unfortunate loss of life."

Prosecutors said this morning that the future of the investigation is reliant on recovering the wreck.

Mr Wilkes said the yacht is a "major piece of physical evidence in and of itself."

"It's lying at 50 metres, which is a recoverable depth.

"If it was significantly deeper, then I'm not sure they'd be considering salvage at this stage or certainly, the salvage question would be a lot more complicated to answer.

"But if there was the ability to raise that yacht in one piece safely, then it gives the investigators physically more to look at."

Mr Wilkes said he was unsure if the yacht would have a "black box" - called a voyage data recorder in shipping.

"It would record things like GPS position, heading speed, engine telemetry, whether the radars were on, what they were recording, alarms, communications from the yacht itself, any audio on the bridge.

"But more often than not, these are on merchant ships. The yacht was a commercial yacht in the sense that it could be chartered out so it's quite possible it has a voyage data recorder on, but I'm not sure that it does. I don't know that as a matter of fact," he said.

New 72m Superyacht CLOUDBREAK Expected To Be Available For Charter

By Oliver Pearson   23 February 2016

Named after one of the best surf spots in the South Pacific , the 72m/236ft superyacht CLOUDBREAK is set to be one of the most anticipated deliveries of the year- and what’s more, she is expected to join the charter fleet.

The latest project to be carried out by the heavily decorated German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen , CLOUDBREAK saw the coming together of a seriously impressive team over the last four years.

Taking care of the exterior styling, Espen Oeino have clearly used their experience of similarly sized vessels to help create another highly distinctive motor yacht . Indeed, having been involved with the award-winning 76m/248ft expedition yacht ‘Northern Star’ , the team clearly know what works best when it comes to projects with such ambitious aims.

Whilst no pictures have surfaced to suggest what the inside may look like, the creative minds at Christian Liaigre will no doubt have worked some small wonders inside the voluminous interior.

Responsible for styling the Le Sereno hotel in St Barts , the work of the dynamic team is characteristically modern, employing bold colours and sharp lines.

By no means strangers to the superyacht industry, the team picked up multiple awards for their work on the 67m/220ft superyacht VERTIGO back in 2012. To get a better idea of how well their refreshingly minimalist style applies to luxury yachts, just take a glance at the expert finishes below:

cloudbreak superyacht owner

The product of a true dream team, CLOUDBREAK will no doubt be the subject of many a conversation in the coming months

Cutting such an exceptional profile in the yard, there’s bound to be a real sense of excitement as we await her sea trials in a few months time.

Following these trials, CLOUDBREAK is expected to be delivered to her owner in May, joining the charter fleet some time afterwards.

As more information surrounding the project becomes available, we will be sure to keep you updated.

In the meantime, take a look at all Abeking & Rasmussen luxury yachts available for charter.
