If you have limited budget to rent a yacht in Cancun, we have you covered! There are smaller yachts that can be leased starting from $150.00 USD per hour (the bayliner 30′ is an example). You can rent small boats for groups of 6 to 8 people that can cost $115.00 USD per hour.

When it comes to these small boats you can rent them for as little as 2-3 hours per day if that’s what your budget allows. We’ve also got speed boats in Cancun so that you can do some water sports. You may rent these speed boats on a per hour basis. The cost of renting these ones vary, but you can find them for as cheap as $250.00 USD. Ask me for the promo of the day. In certain months of the year the price drops to $200.00 USD if you rent the boat for at least 2 hours.

Mega Yacht Rentals in Cancun

When it comes to mega yachts in Cancun we have the largest, newest and most luxurious yachts. The largest Mega Yacht available in Cancun and Riviera Maya is the Azimut 100 . This mega boat comes with outdoor jacuzzi in the 3rd floor, 5 cabins, 4 bathrooms and 3 living rooms. It also has gas grill, its own chef, 3 sailors and a fishing boat!

Mega Yacht Charters in Cancun

 We can also have an Azimut 85 foot yacht for rent that is similar to the 100 foot one. The difference is this one doesn’t have a jacuzzi. The minimalistic design of this recently remodeled 85 foot yacht gives it an air of luxury that you won’t find elsewhere and can be boarded in Puerto Aventuras. If you are looking to set sail from Cancun, we have an 85 foot Azimut year 2005 that just had a real remodeled days. Besides those yachts my favorite is a beautiful 2014 Azimut 68 S that can host up to 15 people. Also we have a Sunseeker 75 for up to 20 passengers.

Yacht Rentals in Holbox

If you are looking to go to Holbox by Yacht , we have this amazing Uniesse 48 ′ which can be boarded in Cancun or Isla Mujeres. We recommend this tour if you are planning to spend at least 1 or 2 nights because it is a 4 hours trip to Holbox, which is very far. If you don’t want to spend the night it is recommended to leave at 6-7 a.m. This way you can arrive at 11 a.m. to spend the day there, eat some lobster pizza, watch the flamingoes from the yacht, rent a golf cart to sightsee and make the trip back.

Whichever boat you choose to sail to Holbox can’t navigate at night. If nightfall is at 7 p.m. then the trip back needs to start by 4 p.m. and that’s why we recommend staying at least 1 night there. Also if you have time to spare then you can go fishing. You can visit one of the lagoons and relax while you eat seafood and drink beer at your own leisure.

Holbox and Contoy yacht rentals

The price for this 1 day tour to Holbox is $3500 USD but if you spend the night there it would come to $5000 USD. This price includes crew, fuel Cancun-Holbox, 24 beers, water, 24 sodas, snacks and ice. If you intend on spending the night the yacht can accommodate 6 guests and the rest can stay at a hotel. There are many options on the side of the marina where the boat docks. On the other hand, we also have overnight catamarans to Holbox. These are $3500 USD per 24 hours and include food and drinks. To go to Holbox on a overnight boat you need at least 48 hours, as it’s kind of far. If want to go to Contoy on a luxury yacht it will be about $4,650 USD for the day, with food and drinks.

5 bodies reportedly found off Sicily coast, 1 still missing after luxury superyacht sank in freak storm. Here's what we know about the incident.

Four bodies were reportedly recovered off the coast of Sicily on Wednesday by divers searching for passengers who were aboard a luxury superyacht that sank earlier this week, the Italian coast guard said. A fifth body has been spotted and will be recovered on Thursday, while one person still remains missing.

The diving crews brought body bags to the port in Porticello, Italy, but none of the deceased have been identified yet.

The yacht sank on Monday after it was caught in the middle of an unexpected and violent storm. One person, the ship's chef, was recovered Monday.

Among the six passengers unaccounted for on Monday were British tech magnate Mike Lynch, sometimes referred to as the “British Bill Gates,” and his daughter; Morgan Stanley International chairman Jonathan Bloomer; and American lawyer Chris Morvillo.

What happened?

The Bayesian capsized while about half a mile off the coast of Porticello, a small fishing village. There were 22 people on board — 12 passengers and 10 crew members. The City Council of Bagheria said in a statement that seven adults were taken to the emergency room following the rescue, but “it seems that none are in serious conditions.”

While crews searched for the remaining bodies, others are trying to confirm why the boat sank in the first place. According to a BBC report , a heavy storm hit the coast of Sicily and created waterspouts , which are tornadoes that form over water. The waterspout winds were so powerful that they broke the boat’s mast in half, causing the ship, which was anchored, to lose its balance and sink.

The U.K.’s Marine Accident Investigation Branch plans to send a team of four investigators to make a preliminary assessment of why the Bayesian sank and why people were still on board.

As the ship was going down, 15 people were able to make it to safety and were rescued by a nearby boat.

The crew on a Dutch-flagged vessel nearby noticed the yacht had disappeared and saw flares being set off in the sea. They went to help survivors before the Italian coast guard could arrive.

One British passenger, Charlotte Golunski, told reporters she kept her 1-year-old daughter alive by holding her up above the water until they got on a lifeboat.

What to know about the Bayesian

Charter sites list the yacht’s weekly rent as $215,000, the Associated Press reported .

Boat International , a superyacht and luxury yacht guide, reported that the Bayesian had the tallest aluminum mast in the world at over 240 feet, making it one of the 50 largest sailing yachts in the world.

Who is Mike Lynch?

Lynch, 59, founded the software firm Autonomy and recently faced a legal battle with U.S.-based Hewlett-Packard after the tech company accused him of inflating Autonomy’s value in an $11 billion sale in 2011.

Lynch was acquitted of multiple fraud charges in June after a three-month trial, avoiding a potential 20-year jail sentence.

The news is a dramatic, tragic development for one of the more colorful, and sometimes controversial, figures in technology out of the U.K.

Six bodies have been found after a superyacht sank off the coast of Sicily.

Twenty-two people were on board the vessel named Bayesian when it got into difficulty in the early hours of Monday, with 15 people rescued.

Here's what we know about the sinking of the luxury vessel so far.

What might have caused the sinking?

The British-flagged luxury vessel, named the Bayesian, capsized at around 4.30am local time on Monday morning off Palermo, according to ship-tracking site Marine Traffic.

It sank in a matter of minutes with 22 people on board, 12 passengers and a crew of 10, according to the Italian coastguard.

Waterspouts, essentially tornados which form over water, were seen as powerful winds battered the area overnight, local media said.

The yacht may have sunk faster with all the doors open due to the hot weather, Sailing Today magazine editor Sam Jefferson has said.

"I imagine all the doors were open because it was hot, so there were enough hatches and doors open that it filled with water very quickly and sank like that," he said.

Official pictures show air conditioning units in several of the rooms, however, which could counter the suggestion open windows caused the vessel to sink faster.

The huge mast is also likely to have played a role, he added.

What are waterspouts?

Waterspouts typically occur during thunderstorms and can develop very rapidly, within minutes.

Their spin generally reaches wind speeds between 75-200mph, but can reach as high as 300mph.

They can travel at about 10-20mph typically but can reach greater speeds, making them difficult to avoid - especially in something as slow-moving as a yacht.

Matthew Schanck, chair of the Maritime Search and Rescue Council, called the reports of a tornado or waterspout "rare" and "quite alarming".

"The vessel was at anchor in a recognised anchorage," Mr Schanck said.

"Depending on wind direction and the state of the sea, this informs the captain whether it is a safe area to anchor or not. There was nothing that was too concerning, for my eye. All in all, the captain used the information they had to make a safe call."

Who owns the yacht?

British tech tycoon Mike Lynch was among those missing, along with his 18-year-old daughter Hannah. His wife Angela Bacares was rescued.

Mr Lynch, 59, is known as the " British Bill Gates " and has been in the headlines in recent months over a high-profile fraud case.

In June, a US jury cleared him of all charges, which were related to the 2011 sale of his software company Autonomy to Hewlett-Packard (HP). The yacht trip is believed to have been a celebration of the end of Mr Lynch's legal troubles.

HP accused him of deliberately overstating the value of the company before it was acquired by the American tech giant.

Mr Lynch was extradited to the US to face trial in May last year and spent 13 months under house arrest in San Francisco as he awaited trial on 17 charges of conspiracy and wire fraud brought by the US Department of Justice - which were later reduced to 15 charges. He always denied any wrongdoing and was acquitted.

Who was on board when the boat sank?

The passengers were largely British and American, the Italian coastguard said. Crew members were from New Zealand, South Africa, and Canada.

Charlotte Golunski was among the Britons rescued. Her LinkedIn profile says she is a partner at Mr Lynch's firm Invoke Capital and has worked there since 2012.

Speaking after the ordeal, Ms Golunski told Italian media that she lost her daughter Sofia for "two seconds" amid the "fury" of the sea but was able to retrieve her. She said she held the infant above the waves until the lifeboat was ready.

"Many people screamed. Luckily the lifeboat inflated and 11 of us were able to get on board," she told ANSA.

The girl's father James Emsley also survived, according to Sicily's civil protection agency.

Also on board were Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of investment bank Morgan Stanley, his wife Judy Bloomer, a top US lawyer Chris Morvillo, who worked on Mr Lynch's criminal case, and his wife Neda Morvillo. They were all reported as missing.

The yacht's captain James Calfield survived, along with South African crew members Leah Randall and Katja Chicken.

Recaldo Thomas, a Canadian-Antiguan chef who was working on the boat, has been found dead, the Italian Coastguard has confirmed to Sky News.

During rescue efforts, divers saw "corpses through the portholes" of the wreck as they recovered the body of a man at a depth of 50m (164ft), according to Salvo Cocina, the head of the Civil Protection of Sicily.

What do we know about the vessel?

The Bayesian is owned by a company controlled by the wife of Mr Lynch.

It was known for its unusual 72.3m (246ft) single mast - one of the world's tallest made of aluminium - and shared its name with the statistical method Mr Lynch's Autonomy software was based on.

It was built by Italian company Perini Navi in 2008 and last refitted in 2020.

It was listed for rent for up to €195,000 (£166,000) a week, according to online charter sites.

The luxury vessel , which was managed by yachting company Camper & Nicholsons, can accommodate up to 12 guests in six suites.

It won a string of awards for its design, according to online specialist yacht sites.

Mr Schanck said the vessel would have been equipped with "high standard" life-saving appliances and radio communications. He added the yacht would have met all international standards and UK maritime coastguard agency regulations before its voyage.

The boat left the Sicilian port of Milazzo on 14 August and was last tracked east of Palermo on Sunday evening, with a navigation status of "at anchor", according to vessel tracking site VesselFinder.

The Bayesian previously travelled to other parts of Sicily before its last sighting off the coast of the port of Porticello.

On Sunday, the boat was seen off the coast of Cefalu before it travelled towards Porticello, MarineTraffic data shows.

In the days before, the yacht travelled around four of the Aeolian islands, just north of Sicily.

It was previously named Salute, or "health" in Italian, when it flew under a Dutch flag. Its minimalist interior featured light wood with Japanese accents designed by the French designer Remi Tessier, according to descriptions on charter sites.
