Multi-award winning luxury yacht SAVANNAH changed superyacht design forever when she was launched in 2015, becoming the world’s first hybrid yacht with a radiant contemporary interior from CG Design . Her LED TV hallway and Nemo lounge particularly impressed judges, as did her circular lounge with starry galaxy ceiling and a formal dining area that opens up to the main deck aft swimming pool. Her 12 guests accommodated over six en-suite cabins also received the benefit of reduced noise and vibration for a comfortable night’s rest.
Savannah – exterior
British studio Winch Design has produced a few of the interiors on this list, and their latest is arguably their most impressive yet: 111.5m/365.10ft Lürssen mega yacht TIS has period French interiors spanning the reigns of Louis XIV to Louis XVIII. Calacatta Vogli marble and gold leaf is used throughout, the most stunning example being the spa with bas relief lemon grove with golden lemons on the ceiling. Fireplaces and bookcases are perfectly integrated into the finely panelled walls and you might even forget that you are on board a yacht as you relax and entertain in the palatial setting. The accommodation sleeps 18 guests across nine en-suite cabins, who will wake every day to comprehensive spa and entertainment facilities and an exhaustive list of water toys ready for fun on the water.
Mega yacht TIS
At first glance you’ll feel as though you’re stepping back in time when you board Lürssen superyacht AMADEA, but integrated into her luscious 18th Century interiors from Zuretti Interior Design is the very latest in modern entertainment and comfort. A wine cellar and humidor are placed beside the beach club and conference room for convenience, the main salon has a hand-painted Pleyel grand piano, and another piano can be found in the Owner’s private lounge. The top deck formal dining area is the highlight of the already impressive surroundings and places planters beside the full-height windows and waterfall features as chandeliers hang from the beams of the transparent ceiling for an unforgettable dining experience, in the sunshine or under the stars.

The grand styling onboard 95.2m/312.4ft Lürssen luxury yacht KISMET has elements of Asian and Classical design, but overall she is unmistakably art deco. Her strong, masculine interiors from Reymond Langton Design treat guests to a piano lounge with a fireplace, a cinema, beauty salon and a private deck for the Owner. The accommodation provides seven en-suite cabins for up to 12 guests, who also have a basketball court, DJ station, Jacuzzi and pool to make the most of life outdoors.
Kismet – exterior
Lürssen motor yacht SOLANDGE has interiors by Aileen Rodriguez the use gold leaf on the ceiling to complement the honey onyx stone and back-lit amethyst wall panels, while more subtle touches include rose quartz in the chandeliers. A Bechtenstein piano will play though your dinners and entertain long into the night, and as guests head to the stair case to return to one of the eight beautiful en-suite cabins, they will pass by the illuminated Tree of Life sculpture, the artistic highlight on board.
Solandge – exterior
Andrew Winch produced the exceptional interiors aboard M/Y PHOENIX 2, which pay homage to art deco with a sophisticated palette of black, ivory and gold. The cinema and spa deck with beauty salon will see plenty of use from all 12 guests, however the salons and formal dining area will be the hub for casual gatherings and memorable soirees thanks to the ambiance created by the incredible wall mural and grand piano. Attention has been given even to the tiniest details, and the spiral staircase is as much a work of art as the phoenix sculpture acting as a figurehead.
Phoenix 2 – exterior
You’ll immediately known when superyacht SALUZI pulls into port with the turquoise and fuchsia seahorse decorating her starboard hull and superstructure, but the true wonder is on board: A beach club with spa massage facilities, a casino table, karaoke systems in the large lounge and dining area, plus an outdoor cinema. DeBasto Designs gave her invigorating ‘life of the party’ looks, with rainbow lighting and normal white light in the salon to suit the warm wooden panelling and primary-coloured accents. The accommodation is for 32 guests over 16 cabins, ensuring that the celebration moves with you and no one is left behind.
Saluzi – exterior
Francesco Paszkowski worked with Margherita Casprini to complete the interiors aboard awards-winning 72m/236.3ft motor yacht SOLO, and the result is sophisticated metallic grey surroundings complemented by dark wood furnishings and mirror-like surfaces. The skylounge is one of the social hubs and has a baby grand piano and a fireplace creating an intimate environment ready to host any social event, from a gathering with family and friends to an after party following the Cannes Film Festival or one of the sensational regattas at Porto Cervo . On board beauty salon and spa massage services, a hammam and sauna provide more than a little indulgence to prepare the 12 guests for any occasion.
Solo – exterior
Launched in 2019 from Yachtley shipyard , renowned designer Cristiano Gatto left his mark on the interiors of 80m/262.6ft superyacht ELEMENTS with a stately classic design in pastel colours that create brilliant bright rooms that will awe at any social event. Back-lit wall panels in semi-precious stones and a selection of top quality marbles complement the lacquer work on the tables. Every inch on board has received this attention to detail, such as the sparkling white tile hammam and beach club, the golf leaf on the ceiling of the Gentleman’s club and the mirrored ceilings and columns in the cavernous Master suite. The accommodation consists of 12 en-suite cabins to sleep 24 guests, who have wheelchair-friendly access to all spaces on board.
CRN luxury yacht ODYSSEY III was known as 74m/242.9ft CLOUD 9 at the time of her launch and won Best Layout (50-82m) at the World Yachts Trophies 2017 and the Motor Yacht (Over 200ft) category at the Robb Report 2018. The inviting interiors from Winch Design use champagne-coloured wooden panelling and delicate patterns and textures in the matching carpets and curtains to subtle effect. The warm and cool blues match the colour of the sea and sky for which she was named, and additional accents in silver in the artwork match with the silverware in the intimate formal dining area. The beach club has an espresso bar, there is an indoor and outdoor cinema and a Teppanyaki bar on board among the fantastic amenities for the 12 guests – accommodated over eight sizeable en-suite cabins – to relish while cruising from one end of the Mediterranean to the other.

Just on the east coast of Italy there is a seaport city called Ancona where in the sea you will find amazing floating palaces – hidden shipyard fuses metals with extraordinary fabrics. The view doesn’t surprise, if you know that since 1963 the place is full of CRN luxurious and giant 90 meter long boats made from large slabs of steel and aluminum. And here as well you can find an office filled with fabrics and interior details – it’s the working place of Costanza Pazzi – yachts’ interior designer. CRN is proud to have her, because for C. Pazzi there is nothing impossible, there isn’t no word “no” in her vocabulary. The first boat that she designed for CRN was called ‘darlings danama’ and since then she did and amazing job and completed some of the most spectacular interior for the Italian mega yacht company in its long history.
C.Pazzi says that she never put the same details into each project. Each one is completely different, with new challenges and working with different architects. It’s not like a building, she admits. There are different rules. But she very proud of her unique design of every boat as it improve her portfolio very much.

The global authority in superyachting
A sports yacht with a cruising soul, the S80 ’s DNA is born out of a hull that might end up being the best 25-metre platform to grace the seas, says Carl Richardson. He steps on board the new S Class flagship before its world debut at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival.
First, an admission. Despite plenty of effort on all sides, this isn’t a full test. Time, tides and the demands of the boat show calendar meant we could not get out to sea. Instead, we were given a backstage-style tour with the design and technical teams.
The Princess S80 is the latest sportsbridge chapter in a story that can be traced back over a decade to the Princess V85-S, an impossibly powerful and daring yacht at the time. Since then, the British yacht builder has been a leader in sportsbridge design, leading us to this 70-tonne model, hitting around 32 knots with twin 2,000hp MANs. These figures are important because the boat the S80 replaces is the 50-tonne S78 that can hit 38 knots with 1,900hp MANs.
Performance and speed are key for any genuine sportsbridge model, and so we start with a new boat that is heavier and slower than its predecessor, but it is also bigger in every key area. The S80 uses the same hull as the flybridge Y80 and the Tardis-like X80. The modified V planing design from naval architect Olesinski runs on shafts (as nature intended) and can push each yacht to around 30 knots while delivering the same, class-leading four-ensuite-cabin lower deck.
Speaking to Princess design director Andy Lawrence, a lot of thought went into not only making a different kind of S flagship but also into the hull itself. “It was always going to be a three-boat 25-metre platform running on shafts, we aren’t looking at pods for larger boats. The challenge was creating a hull that would perform as well on the S as it does on the X, two very different boats.”
The X80 does work – according to BOATPro it is one of the best-selling yachts in its class. But it is a much bigger boat than the S80 above the deckline, meaning it is not just about managing extra weight but where that weight is.
Andy Lawrence explains: “The X80 has a much higher CG (Centre of Gravity), but working with our partners Olesinski, over many iterations, we found the right balance.” These iterations included increasing the beam for greater volume, while extending the waterline to hit the speeds expected of an S Class yacht.
Ultimately, Princess delivered three different 25-metre models that all run fast, with the expected option of a MAN 2,200hp engine option delivering the possibility of 36 knots for the S80.
R&D & then some
Princess is a global powerhouse, but its success is anchored by the people at its yard in Plymouth, England. Alex Cleverly was part of the technical team showing us over the boat, but until very recently he was a Princess delivery skipper. He made his first trip at age 16 and regularly clocked up 16,000 nautical miles a year – “I was the person who started work when everyone else was leaving for home, collecting a yacht for delivery to Scandinavia or the Mediterranean,” he explains.
Alex made detailed reports from a skipper’s point of view, on things like visibility, spray, where water might pool on deck, the lumber of the helm seat or access to engineering points. In short, the kind of research and development (R&D) that money can’t buy – and all that knowledge is now on the inside.
Princess ideology has long been about balance, that sweet spot between space, style and performance. Immediate impressions are good. The S80 looks low, sleek and powerful in the water, its extra length allowing its lines to stretch out, the upper sportsbridge barely visible within the rake of the roofline. Where some sportsbridge models might have more than a little flybridge height and bulk to help increase interior space, the S80 is pure performance yacht.
Given that so much conversation about any modern yacht is about volume and accommodation, it was refreshing to hear Andy talk about the importance of style. “The key was the sportsbridge. On a yacht like this, profile is everything, we wanted a big sportsbridge deck, but one you couldn’t actually see!”
Before I get too idealistic on sports style, there will be a hard top option for the S80 which makes perfect sense for a good number of boating reasons, but will change the yacht’s low-down, growling profile (I'm hoping a few emotionally led buyers stick with the standard awning so the rest of us can enjoy the original lines).
Moving up the easy aft deck steps, the sportsbridge is a vast social expanse of yacht style with the driving position rightly set at its heart. It’s a noticeably and provably bigger and better deck than the S78. The extra foot (0.3 metres) of beam works wonders. There is so much deck space but also vast and separate areas of seating plus a massive barbecue and bar, a central island of cold storage and room for a pop-up TV.
It’s the same story back on the aft deck. A familiar Princess layout sees two massive asymmetric pads flank your journey up from the hydraulic platform and garage. But things are different here and it’s another key part of the S80 design. With more room to use, the deck now has three separate social areas, dining, sunbathing and lounging, without the need to convert or move anything. Better still, it’s all done with space to spare and masses of stowage space worked in.
Again, there are no happy accidents here. The initial design saw the staircase and dining table in different positions, but the full-scale mock-ups Princess employs for every new model changed that. We now have a walkaround dining table to port with superb views out over the deck and sea beyond.
Glass-panelled flanks extend aft from the superstructure to ensure that, with the view, privacy and protection are also ensured. The sportsbridge overhang keeps everything feeling intimate and beautifully lit at night - there’s even air-conditioning overhead and the option to enclose the dining area with awnings.
The rest of the decks are just as good. The side decks sit within waist-high bulwarks with gates each side and deep storage lockers forward. Even with the superstructure pushing forward, Princess has found a good deal of space for the foredeck lounge, where eight guests can gather in circular conviviality.
Power of 3 + 5
The S80 is the first Princess to have three lower helm seats. That may not immediately look like a headline moment for a 25-metre performance boat, but it points to something else. Everywhere you go on this boat, from the sportsbridge to the main dining table, its eight guests are able to gather and be together. Whether it’s enjoying the ride or lunch, on the S80, no one gets left behind.
The galley aft design plays a rightfully central role on the main deck. It’s part of the social scene, not hidden away below. A massive piece of glass hinges up to open inside to out, with a bordering storage unit sneaking in a pop-up TV.
The S80 is probably going to be crewed (by no more than two people given the tight quarters in the stern) but it is a social boat and guests will love the galley, dipping into the Sub-Zero refrigerator, massive drawer-style freezers or just hanging around the bar area. Storage space is off the scale, the galley’s multiple dedicated lockers include a pop-up pantry while across the way there is a deep, long sideboard.
Dining is clearly intended to be al fresco on the S80, but you can option a table for the saloon – it can handle the extra furniture. The saloon is massive, another heady example of Princess' ability to deliver interior space, harmony and splendour with an ease few other yards can match. Height and glass play an important part. Huge, 6ft (1.8-metre) high sections of glass line the saloon and, with the optional glass-panelled sunroof and helm side door open, it’s like you never left the deck.
If light and splendour invite you in, the deep, low sofas ensure you won’t leave in a hurry. The best seating area (isn't it always) is the smallest. The raised lounge forward, up by the helm, is a great spot at any time of day, but it’s the perfect guest spot when underway - kudos to whoever had the foresight to subtly lower the forward finishing panel to ensure the best possible view forward.
Anyone who has been aboard the X80 or Y80 will be familiar with the four cabin-layout below decks. The S version has its own smart, performance-edged colour palette and materials, but it will be the peerless layout that wins you over. Four class-leading ensuite cabins will look after eight guests with ease, including the owner’s stateroom which is a perfect blend of style, space and luxury wrapped in deep glass hull windows. A useful upgrade on the S78, there are now separate entrances for the walk-in wardrobe and ensuite.
The forward VIP is equally impressive with an outstanding ensuite and more storage space than seems necessary – and I never, ever think that. There’s a sense of fraternity going on here too, with each cabin featuring the same style notes as the stateroom, including plenty of solid wood to go with the coolly understated but always inviting modern interior finish.
Beyond the looks and luxury, this is a boat designed for the owner to drive, when the fancy takes them, and for their guests to join in on the experience of 70 tonnes carving through the water at 32 knots. Both the upper and lower help stations look and feel like a performance yacht should, with deep, supportive seats and an array of screens and dials. But just as important are the flanks of guest-seating each side of the sportsbridge helm or the elevated lounge to port of the lower helm.
Initial sea trials, with a light load but 12 people on board, recorded 36 knots powered by the standard twin MAN 2,000hp engines, so the official top speed of 32 knots looks nailed on. The MAN 2,200hp option will suit owners who like to cruise faster while adding two or three knots to the top speed. Talking to the Princess team, you get the feeling the extra power is also about the new S flagship being able to match the outgoing one – a competitive spirit I very much endorse.
To say Princess has a reputation for good design, is a bit like saying Patel-Philipe makes accurate timepieces. The S80, like all its stablemates, simply doesn’t put a foot wrong inside or out. The proportions are near-perfect, the styling confident without being challenging and the finish always brings that little bit extra – as with the use of solid woods and semi-custom levels of choice and detail.
The nearest yacht in terms of onboard luxury, design and space is the Azimut S10 . The S10 is a very fine vessel with an unmatched sense of performance yacht cool, but it is 9ft (3 metres) longer and notably more money. The fact it is the S80’s most obvious competitor says everything you need to know about how good a boat this is.
The only possible downside for an S80 owner might be the unnerving sight of a Princess X80 keeping up with you. For anyone concerned about such an event, the MAN 2,200hp engine is the upgrade for you.

THE royal family are known for their lavish homes, cars and carriages, but people often forget about the luxury Royal Yacht Britannia.
The boat held a special place in late Queen Elizabeth II 's heart but has been decommissioned since 1997, so let's take a look inside the famous ship.
Measuring 400-foot-long, this floating palace served as the official royal yacht of the British monarchy for 44 years.
The late monarch once famously said: “Britannia is the one place where I can truly relax.”
The colossal boat was a special place the family could escape the watchful eye of the public, and the Queen preferred the slow mode of transport as it gave her time to decompress.
The family used it for annual jaunt to the west coast of Scotland - a trip which would take two weeks rather than a quick 90 minute flight.
But 1997, the ship, which had been launched in 1953, had become too costly to run and when the new Labour government was elected in 1997 a replacement was never ordered.
The boat was then decommissioned in a ceremony during which the Queen shed a tear for her beloved yacht.
Even now, every clock on the ship is stopped at 3.01pm - the exact time the late monarch stepped off the royal yacht .
Brits can still go to see the Queen’s “favourite” home though - with some 300,000 visiting every year.
It is berthed in Ocean Terminal in Leith docks and is open every day except Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Brits can survey the whole ship and experience it just as countless world leaders have, including Sir Winston Churchill , Boris Yeltsin, Rajiv Gandhi, Nelson Mandela.
There are plenty of photos showing the royal family waving from deck of the boat, but did you know the bow of the ship was specifically designed with a curve to keep the modesty of those wearing skirts and dresses?
Visitors to Britannia can get up close and see the Queen and Prince Phillips bedrooms aboard the ship, notably the couple had separate bedrooms though.
That said, both rooms have windows higher than any others on the boat so there was no chance of anyone peeking inside.
KING Charles certainly has a vast treasure trove to select from as he inherited around £533million in jewellery pieces, according to Guardian.
The publication identified more than 90 pieces that were part of the late Queen’s personal collection, including diamonds, emeralds, rubies, amethysts, aquamarines and strings of pearls.
The royal family’s wills are kept secret, so it can’t be known for sure exactly what King Charles inherited after the Queen’s death in September 2022.
In a deal struck up by the then prime minister John Major , private inheritances from one monarch to another are also immune from inheritance tax .
Of course, it’s hard to know the full value of each jewellery piece today as the royal and historical connection would likely increase them exponentially.
We saw this with the auctioning of jewellery belonging to the late Princess Margaret .
Although her pieces were worth much less than the Queen’s sparkling collection, they sold for an average of 18 times the auction house’s top-end value.
Using the theory that the Queen’s jewels could fetch at least 10 times their basic value, making up the £533million estimated worth.
Opposite the Queen and Phillips bedrooms is the honeymoon suite - the only room with a double bed on the ship.
The bed was added by Prince Charles when he and Princess Diana used the boat for their honeymoon.
Not everyone aboard the ship got to enjoy the same luxurious living conditions as the royals.
With around 45 working members of the royal household accompanying the Queen on her overseas visits, compromise on space had to made.

INCREDIBLE plans for a futuristic yacht have changed the game for luxury travel as it promises to take its guests completely underwater.
The Migaloo M5 is said to be the world's first submersible superyacht which boasts its own onboard spa and helipad and an outdoor cinema.
Appropriate for both tropical and polar environments, the vessel is made to be completely submerged for about four weeks at a depth of 820 feet.
For comparison, the British Royal Navy's leading submarine, HMS Astute, seems a toddler at only 318ft.
This sailor's paradise yacht is predicted to have a speed of 12 knots underwater and a range of more than 8,000 nautical miles when surfaced.
The inside of the Migaloo M5 is 1,000 square meters, of which 220 are private quarters devoted to the owner.
The 500ft vessel is designed to comfortably house up to 20 passengers and a crew of 40 as they venture into the deep sea.
A 200-square-meter spa, an outdoor theatre, a helipad, a helicopter hangar, and two "Midget Submarines" for additional deep-sea research are among the lavish amenities onboard.
A luxury interior features a 36-seat dining room with glass walls that allows guests to be fully submerged in the underwater world as they eat.
The super boat also includes two expedition vehicles, a 12.5-meter limousine tender, and a large assortment of water toys for both surface and land cruise.
The founder and CEO of Migaloo, Christian Gumpold revealed that these superyacht submarines could cost an owner upwards of $2billion.
"We think a private submarine will be the most exclusive and most expensive thing a person can own," he previously told The Sun .
"We are the only company worldwide which offer superyacht-sized private submarines."
He said superyacht owners are increasingly "getting younger" and "they want even more extra ordinary and individual designs".
"They are willing to have something really new and unique, which has never been designed or constructed before – a 'normal' surface yacht is not that interesting for them - a private submarine is.
"We have a very deep knowledge of the yachting industry and understanding of ultra high net worth individuals as well as billionaires.
"We strongly notice trends and in our opinion submersible superyachts are the future of yachting."
Gumpold said the private submarine adds a whole new dimension to exploring the sea, Boat International reports.
He said: "In addition to motor yachts and sailing yachts, I believe that submersible superyachts will become an additional category of private vessels that owners can choose from."
A spokesperson for the company explained that the owner can also pick its own shipyard and other key partners for their boat.
But the Migaloo PSY team can "supervise all partners during engineering, building, sea trials and outfitting, up to handover to the owner [and] including after sales services and yacht management," they explained.
The organisation can also oversee the development of particular knowledge training for crew members and captains.
Meanwhile, the world's most expensive superyacht is a £4billion floating masterpiece with gold-plated sides and walls made of T-Rex bones.
Although the flashy floater is supposedly a jaw-dropping sight it remains shrouded in mystery as no one has ever actually seen it.
Dubbed History Supreme the vessel is covered in 100,000kg of gold and dazzles with jewels - but most don't even believe it exists.
The railings, decking, dining area and even the base of the boat is all wrapped in gold and even the anchor was specially made to be dipped in liquid gold.
It was commissioned by a mysterious Malaysian billionaire and designed by artist Stuart Hughes.
It comes after the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection gave an exciting glimpse into the new superyacht named Ilma , which includes an onboard spa and gym, in vision on social media.
Pictures of the luxury boat shows cabins that await guests, with decor resembling a five-star hotel room leading to private terraces looking over the sea.
It also boats a huge deck for guests to bask on sunbeds.
A swimming pool with a bar behind it adds to the opulence, with separate massive dining areas.
Interior Design Director Taylor Cuff said it was in line with Ritz-Carlton's mission to give guests "uncompromised luxury".
And if you want a taste of the lush life, high-end flats will be up for grabs this year on the "floating millionaires row" yacht Somnio.
The invite-only luxury superyacht is lined with 39 apartments where rooms start from £8.1 million.

Below Deck Season 11 was a bit of a reset season. For the first time since the series debuted in 2013, Below Deck had a new captain at the helm. The Daddy of the Sea, Captain Lee Rosbach, was gone and a new Zaddy of the Sea, Captain Kerry Titheradge, the former captain on Below Deck Adventure , was now in charge. With some familiar faces back in action, Below Deck Season 11 had a rocky season at sea , but nevertheless enjoyable!
Below Deck is one of Bravo's biggest franchises. The flagship series has spun off four other series that have spanned the globe. Documenting the crew on board the world's most luxurious motor yachts, Below Deck gives viewers the highs and lows of yachtie life. The eleventh season gave viewers a new captain, a Real Housewife, and drama all over St. David!
There have been a few unofficial Bravo crossovers on Below Deck over the course of the franchise. And Season 11 was no different. St. David welcomed The Real Housewives of New York City alum Jill Zarin . And well, she was a hoot and a half. Chef Anthony Iracane is an artist . And as Captain Kerry Titheradge states, creatives may break. And Chef Anthony was on the brink of cracking. Especially with Jill Zarin on board. Chef Anthony has had a rough go over the course of the past few charters and, as much as Chief Stew Fraser Olender wanted to protect his friend, he knew he was on the brink of destruction. He wanted revenge for his mistakes, but this group of charter guests was about to test his limits.
When Captain Kerry reveals that the primary is a former cruise director, the Chief Stew knew it was going to be a difficult journey ahead. As per usual, the preference sheet meeting is crucial for the pending charter. For the primary, she had multiple allergies. She did not eat meat, but she ate seafood. Just not raw seafood. And that would include sushi. This will be a crucial plot point for this adventure. With the other charter guests having so many conflicting preferences, Chef Anthony was stressed. Anyone, with the guests on board, Jill Zarin, someone who had her own luxury yacht in the past, truly believed she was the primary, and treated the crew as such. Those Diet Cokes MUST be frozen. Her room was not prepared with the necessities she needed. Oh, and she'd suggest to Fraser that they have a personal doorbell to summon the stews. It's a bit much. And yet, Ms. Zarin thinks it's perfectly Kosher!
Throughout this charter, Chef Anthony is struggling to keep up with the conflicting preferences that are preventing him from working to the best of his abilities. Between not knowing what to serve to the no meat or fish guest to suggesting lobster for a primary who doesn't eat it to grey burgers, Chef Anthony's stress level was at an all-time high. With Jill stepping over her friend, she requests a meeting with the Chef to ensure the next meal is perfect. Her friend, Melinda Springer , was present. And she will say nothing as Jill hijacks the charter. And what is one of her requests? Sushi. Yep, the Housewife wants sushi, which the primary does not eat. With Jill taking over, the primary's desires are forgotten, and Captain Kerry is infuriated.
New year, new love drama. Barbie Pascual was a self-proclaimed daddy's girl. And she keeps reminding viewers of it. She's quite in tune to how she'll be portrayed on screen and what her father might think when he watches. She's extremely nervous about how he'll feel about her romantic intentions with Kyle Stillie , but now's the time to decide. They like each other, but she's so concerned about what her Argentinian father will say. This is a Barbie world she's living in , so everything will revolve around her. Only an episode before, Boson Ben Willoughby broke up with his deckie girl Sunny Marquis . But that's not going to last long at all. Just wait for the crew night out for all that to change.
Chief Stew Fraser Olender knows where the line is when working on a luxury yacht. But that can't stop a little crush! Charter guest Steven is crushing on Fraser. Fraser is crushing back. So, how are they going to handle this situation? There is precedent over on Below Deck Mediterranean . Will he be the next Kyle Viljeon? Well, it is New Year's at midnight, so the fellas are jokingly discussing a midnight smooch. But that's a no-no on a yacht. Fraser will cutely ask Captain Kerry Titheradge about what to do if the charter guest wants a kiss. He says no crew member should have to do that, it's sexual harassment. But Fraser follows up with what if the crew member wants it? Well, that's OK according to Capt. K! Happy New Year indeed to the very single Fraser!
The episode begins with a late-night food request from the charter guests. With Barbie Pascual having to settle the demands, she enlists late-night deckhand Kyle Stillie to assist. And what happens when you have something to bond over? A romance in the making! They'll continue to develop those feelings during the crew night out. Meanwhile, over on the exterior, Sunny Marquis has been named Lead Deckhand over Dylan Pierre De Villiers . Sunny, whose Boson Ben Willoughby 's boatmance, is more than qualified, but Dylan believes there was an anterior motive. So, Ben had to talk to Dylan, and, let's be honest, that wasn't going to be too productive.
Now, to Chef Anthony Iracane . Sadly, this was the end of the line for the affable chef. With breakfast being a mess thanks to his inability to adhere to the primary preference sheet requests, stew Paris Field is forced, as the messenger, to apologize. And apologize. Now it's time for the beach picnic. And well, Chef Anthony botches this one too. With Chef Anthony and Chief Stew Fraser Olender having to communicate over the radio about the debacle, it alerted Captain Kerry Titheradge to the problems . One of the major requests from one of the guests was a lobster grilled cheese panini. And yet again, Chef Anthony does not have it prepared. So, Barbie has to wake up in the middle of his slumber to make it. With everyone knowing that the entire crew's tips could be compromised because of Chef Anthony's mistakes, it was time to take action. Chef Anthony is officially fired.
As per tradition on Below Deck , the Chief Stew will have at least one stew they will not get along with. For Chief Stew Fraser Olender , it's Barbie Pascual . All season long, the two just couldn't get along. Despite having differing opinions on how to operate the boat, in the end, Fraser is the one in charge and Barbie has to deal with it. At dinner, Barbie will try to make amends with the crew for her bratty behavior, but as stew Xandi Olivier says, "That's the worst toast I've ever heard. I think she made things worse." She sure did! Fraser goes to Captain Kerry Titheradge to share his displeasure over Barbie's immaturity and lack of respect, but Captain Kerry knows that trying to let another stew go is simply not in the cards. So instead, Captain Kerry is giving Fraser a test of strength to improve his leadership skills: dealing with Barbie. At the same time, Captain Kerry has a heart-to-heart with Barbie, hoping to get her to get over the personality conflict. With both interior team members speaking with the captain, Fraser and Barbie agree to call a truce. For now.
With new stew Paris Field on board, she's already causing drama that she has literally nothing to do with. Despite having a loose connection to Fraser, her presence has made Barbie feel inferior and left out, again. Meanwhile, Boson Ben Willoughby has been goo-goo for the new stew, and his boatmance, Sunny Marquis , is quite upset. As she should be. She'll even ice her out to prevent her from getting close to her man. Now, whether it's unfortunate timing or a way to ensure he keeps the girl, Ben decides to appoint a lead deckhand. Will it be the experienced Dylan Pierre De Villiers or his girl Sunny Marquis? He'll go with the latter. Dylan is irrate, especially watching Ben rub Sunny's neck immediately following the announcement. With Dylan complaining, Ben is offended. And Dylan is offended that Ben is offended. Can't wait to see how this turns out!
The next set of charter guests are yet another group that have yacht experience. This time they have their own yacht. This will not be the easiest charter then, right? Time to level up and give them the best. And Chief Stew Fraser Olender is eager to prove his worth. He's used to guests like this. He's got it! The two newest interior hires, stew Paris Field and Chef Nick Tatlock , have not gotten along since they started working together. Chef Nick, who replaced Chef Anthony Iracane , is not the best when it comes to presentation. He's been pushed to improve by both Fraser and Paris, but it's just not sticking. Especially when it comes from Paris. While working with one another for a beach picnic, Chef Nick would refer to Paris as his third favorite stew. Paris is not thrilled with his passive-aggressive attitude, so she puts her foot down. Chef Nick will tattle to Captain Kerry Titheradge . Paris would tattle to Chief Stew Fraser. So now, the two are forced to discuss the mishap on the beach.
It's getting near the end of the charter season and Dylan Pierre De Villiers is feeling it. So he's going to take this charter to flirt with all the pretty girls onboard who are not employees. That's right, he's flirting with the charter guests. He knows that hooking up with a charter guest is a fireable offense, so he'll just tease the girls and play truth and dare. When the dare is to take off his shirt, the deckhand obliges. And then drenches himself in water. This was allegedly so hot and sexy that the primary's daughter DMs Dylan about it. Eek. Good thing the charter is over in a few hours. On the crew night out, Kyle Stillie , the Scotsman, is wearing a kilt. Barbie Pascual is not thrilled about that. But this is the night that she will come to the realization that with Kyle not being Jewish, they will not be able to work out in real life. Once again, family first.
The main boat couple is about to hit a bit of a snag. Ben Willoughby is with Sunny Marquis , but he's got some feelings for last season's disaster stew Camille Lamb . He'll post an Instagram story about her, causing Sunny to be irate. And then, because he can't make up his mind about his true feelings, he's going to make up a massive excuse about work and break up with Sunny. But as he says, "If we sleep together, we sleep together. If we don’t, we don’t." Oh, and then he'll go and Facetime her. Oye. Men. Am I right?
Barbie Pascual and Kyle Stillie had sex! Kyle, of course, is thrilled. Barbie is freaking out about daddy. And there is their storyline for the remainder of the season. Since nothing is really a secret on a motoryacht, Chief Stew Fraser Olender and 2nd stew Xandi Olivier will joke about the hookup. Xandi and Fraser, who have a distaste for Barbie, joke about Babie's lack of work ethic and engaging in a sexual act that involves the word job. Now, remember Ben, who is on his high horse? He's going to take it upon himself to scold Barbie about Kyle "being off." Why? Bro code! Barbie is not here for Ben's mansplaining so she throws Sunny in his face. Ben really was trying to make his issue with everyone, as he's projecting his own feelings onto Barbie. But the problem here is, she is mad at Kyle for allegedly talking to Ben about their night together. So now she confronts Kyle about it. It's getting messy!
With Chef Anthony Iracane gone, there's a new chef in town. Chef Nick Tatlock seems like a pretty good guy, though his older demeanor becomes a bit of a sticking point with the younger crew. He's worked in the industry for over two decades, so his experience is there. Captain Kerry Titheradge alerts Chef Nick that he is not here for any galley nonsense. Good luck with that. His first major themed meal is a Christmas festivity, so Chef Nick prepares The Feast of the Seven Fishes , as St. David is decked out for the holidays. It's a successful first dinner service for the new chef!
With Ben Willougby officially now the St. David Boson, he's got a lot of pressure to prove his worth. In one of his first actions as Boson, he nearly strands the charter guests on the beach. It's Captain Kerry Titheradge to the rescue. Captain Kerry has to come and help the tender off the shore as an impending storm moves in. Not a great first look for Boson Ben. Being shortn a deckhand, St. David welcomed a new exterior member, Dylan Pierre De Villiers . The handsome South African may be pretty on the eyes, but he's not making a great first impression. Especially to Sunny Marquis . Welcome to the start of their tension for the remainder of the season. Meanwhile, she's still crushing on Ben. Despite their flirtmance, he's dancing with other women, including 2nd Stew, Xandi Olivier . Sunny is not thrilled, but, at this point, they're not official so she can't be too mad, right?
Below Deck is notorious for exceptional theme parties. On this charter, Chief Stew Fraser Olender is in charge of creating a murder mystery party for the guests. And of course, the crew must be involved. As the guests are enjoying their desserts, Barbie Pascual rushes in that there's been a murder! It's Fraser! He's dead. Not really. That would be a travesty. The guests are engaged in the game and all is well! Another successful night aboard St. David.
Remember the sushi? Here comes the aftermath. After making two giant platters of sushi at the behest of Jill Zarin , Chief Stew Fraser Olender is adamant that Chef Anthony Iracane make more sushi that would work for the primary. Great idea. The only problem is there's no more rice for sushi. Chef Anthony used it all. Meanwhile, Jill Zarin is ready for the meal. Guess who's not! Chef Anthony. He's in over his head and Fraser has no idea how to fix the situation at hand. Fraser alerts the guests that they have options for their main course, which means Chef Anthony has made extra work for himself. But there's no hiding any problems for this meal as Captain Kerry Titheradge is joining the guests for dinner. And leave it to Jill Zarin to complain about the meal in front of the captain. Captain Kerry will give Chef Anthony a lashing during the tip meeting. Chef Anthony is officially on his last leg.
With a stew down, Barbie Pascual feels like she's being overworked and feels eager to leave. But she's not a quitter, so she's just going to complain about her workload. She has a major problem with how Fraser is delegating, as she feels 2nd Stew Xandi Olivier is doing less work than her. Whether fact or not, she is technically her superior. As is Fraser. Barbie is just proving that she has a problem with authority. With a new stew arriving, it would seem like things would be better for the interior team, but Fraser and Barbie will continue to clash, especially when it's revealed that the new stew, Paris Field , has a loose connection to Fraser. Barbie's back on the bottom of the totem pole. Paris, who gets to join the crew during their day off, is alerted to the Barbie of it all thanks to Fraser. Meanwhile, what should be a relaxing day off turns into a disaster as Barbie and Fraser nearly come to blows. Let's blame the sun and booze.
It's officially the start of a new era on Below Deck . Following the departure of Captain Lee Rosbach , there's a new captain in town, and he goes by the name of Captain Kerry Titheradge . Having previously starred in Below Deck Adventure , he was a welcome face for the viewers. Thankfully for Captain Kerry, he would have some Below Deck alum to guide him through a safe voyage on the flagship program. Returning as Chief Stew is Fraser Olender . Additionally, he'll be joined by his slight rival from the previous season, Ben Willoughby , who starts as Lead Deckhand. Beyond that, new season, new crew. Aside from Captain Kerry, Ben, and Fraser, the starting crew includes Chef Anthony Iracane, Boson Jared Woodin , deckhand Sunny Marquis and Kyle Stillie , and stews Xandi Oliver, Barbie Pascual , and Cat Baugh . This season, St. David will be exploring the beautiful seascape of Grenada.
As the crew prepares for the first charter of the season, viewers were offered some glimpses into extraordinary foreshadowing. Chef Anthony is already in over his head. An hour and twenty-two minutes between courses?! No Chef, no! Boson Jared Woodin is already in over his head. In the first departure, Jared is showing his inability to communicate well with the captain. Or take blame for his mistakes. Meanwhile, Fraser and Ben are willing to let bygones be bygones in hope for a good charter season. With his interior team, Fraser decides not to give ranks. And yet, Barbie feels it's her place to micromanage Cat. Little does she know how she speaks to Cat is going to be one of the catalysts that will cause her to depart later in the season. Cat already begins to breakdown , so Fraser has to give her a pep talk. On charter one.
To kick off the episode, the charter guests finish their first dinner and the first day of charter is officially done. Chef Anthony Iracane is overwhelmed, but thankfully, his exceptional culinary skills saved the night. With Barbie Pascual on the night shift, she has to babysit the primaries who are on their honeymoon. And we all know what happens during a honeymoon. Barbie is pretty sure the happy couple did it in the jacuzzi. On her watch. Barbie will complain about to Kyle Stillie , but even though his jokes, the joke will be on him. He's the one who has to clean the infamous hot tub the next morning.
Viewers will learn a lot about the unique stylings of Xandi Olivier . She might be a witch. She might be a vampire. No matter what she is, she doesn't go out in the sun much. With an off-boat excursion in the cards, it's up to the entire crew to prepare for the event. Well, between Boson Jared Woodin and Lead Deckhand Ben Willoughby will forget essential items to make this excursion a success. This episode will reveal that Ben has previously been diagnosed with ADHD, hence why he has trouble concentrating. Things won't be better as he is involved in a near-docking disaster. Captain Kerry Titheradge nearly hits the dock, and it's all on Jared's watch. Captain Kerry is not about any of the excuses Jared has for him.
As Season 10 viewers know, Chief Stew Fraser Olender and Ben did not have the best working relationship. Season 11 is not going to prove different. With his interior team complaining to other crew members, the drama makes it back to Fraser that Barbie was complaining to Ben about Cat Bough, who was complaining about her. Fraser is not thrilled that Ben might be meddling with his interior team, so he has to have a chat with him. Call that truce. Speaking of, the brilliant Chief Stew Fraser Olender asserts his dominance and proof of why he might be one of the best, as he is able to sit both girls down and find a solution about getting along. Great effort. Now it's in their hands to make it work.
