Jaclyn & Blake | Annapolis Yacht Club Wedding

There are very few places that make me feel as happy as when I am in Annapolis! Annapolis weddings are some of my very favorite. The little shops, the restaurants, being by the water, and all the history just makes me so happy. If a historic venue in Annapolis isn’t completely up your alley, the Annapolis Yacht Club and Sailing Center is such a fabulous option for a more modern wedding! The Sailing center is the perfect spot, winter or summer, to have an indoor space to get married. Jaclyn and Blake, in true Annapolis fashion took a boat over to their reception at the Yacht club. Getting to spend some time on a boat during your wedding day is a huge sell for getting married in Annapolis or on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Jaclyn and Blake got to take a ride around Spa Creek and were welcomed with hardy greetings from folks enjoying dinner around City Dock. Another special tradition at the Yacht Club is letting the bride and groom shoot the cannon for colors! That was a highlight for the night. Enjoy these fun pictures!

Get to know me better, the latest in weddings, looking for something.

Alyssa and Andrew’s late fall Annapolis Yacht Club wedding is one I remember for its unique details and epic location. I was hired by Kait Bailey as second photographer for this day and so glad I was a part! We love the the small bridal party and thoughtful details the couple incorporated throughout the day. The lush florals by Wild Pollen were especially beautiful and lovely and accented the vibrant autumn colors.

The ceremony was held at Annapolis’ St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Charles Carroll House. Later the reception commenced at Annapolis Yacht Club where we had plenty of fun with the guests on the dance floor. The two locations were close enough together that we walked from one to the next! We stopped at the Charles Carroll House next to the church for wedding party and couple’s portraits before heading to cocktail hour on the water.

I hope you enjoy my favorite photos from Alyssa and Andrew’s day. Thanks again Kait for having me along to celebrate your lovely couple!

Corey & Drew – Annapolis Yacht Club Wedding

Corey and Drew’s Annapolis Yacht Club wedding was notable in many ways, one of the largest (pun intended) being the bridal party. It was the biggest group I’ve ever shot – 11 bridemaids, 10 groomsmen, 2 ring bearers, and a flower girl! Also worth mentioning is how ridiculously photogenic all of these people are. No one even blinked, for which I am eternally grateful. 🙂 Corey is the only bride I know brave enough to eat pizza in her wedding dress before the ceremony. Poor Drew had the flu, but totally rallied and no one could even tell… don’t know which helped more, the medicine or the alcohol. Haha. Which leads me to another thing: this wedding must have broken some records for most beer poured/sprayed on peoples’ faces. “Epic party” is sort of an understatement.

Lastly, it was also the first wedding ceremony to take place in the brand new (and gorgeous) Annapolis Yacht Club Sailing Center and one of the first receptions in the remodeled main club house! All the blue paneling and decor in the interior perfect accented the bridesmaids’ navy dresses and the groomsmen’s suits. I’m kind of obsessed, but see for yourself!

Gorgeous!! Those bridesmaids’ wraps and blue dresses in the clubhouse- gah! And the most stunning of brides and grooms. Emily you’ve done it again!

This was such an awesome day and a super-fun party! Griff was just the best and I cannot get over how Corey rocked those shoes all day and on that walk over the grate… So crazy! You definitely captured all of the fun and awesomeness of the day.
