A General Description of Sailing Yacht ERICA 12

Vitters Shipyard finished building sailing yacht ERICA 12 in 2009. As such, she was built within the Netherlands. ERICA 12 is a yacht which had yacht design work compiled by Hoek Design Naval Architects and Hoek Design Naval Architects. This superyacht ERICA 12 is able to accommodate a total of approximately 10 aboard and 7 crewmembers. Launched for 2009 her internal styling reflects the congruous progression of the design work of Redman Whiteley Dixon.

The Shipyard Work & Design with respect to Luxury Yacht ERICA 12

Hoek Design Naval Architects was the naval architect involved in the formal vessel plans for ERICA 12. Also the company Hoek Design Naval Architects skillfully worked on this undertaking. Interior designer Redman Whiteley Dixon was charged with the creative interior styling. In 2009 she was actually launched with celebration in Zwartsluis and post sea trials and finishing touches was afterwards handed over to the new owner. Vitters Shipyard Bv completed their new build sailing yacht in the Netherlands. The main hull was crafted from aluminium. The sailing yacht main superstructure is fabricated predominantly from aluminium. With a beam of 9.5 m or 31.17 ft ERICA 12 has fairly large room. She has a reasonably deep draught of 4.6m (15.09ft).

175' Anne (ex-Erica XII)

Launched in 2007 by Vitters Shipyard, the 175-foot sloop Anne, ex-Erica XII is a further development of the successful collaboration on the 180-foot ketch Adele. The hull design shows generous overhangs reminiscent of the J class yachts, with a modern round-bilged canoe body and deep fin keel. The keel has an exceptionally wide bulb of approximately three metres in width. Although her 4.6-metre draught is slightly shallower than Adele's, Erica XII has a higher righting moment thanks to a high ballast ratio, carbon sloop rig and carbon rigging. Her carbon spars and furling booms are by Southern Spars from New Zealand. The overall sail plan was optimised using wind tunnel tests and the mast height was set to allow the yacht to pass under the Bridge of the Americas in the Panama canal. Erica XII's hull is built in high tensile aluminium 5383. We extensively analysed its structure for strength and longitudinal stiffness using finite element structural modelling techniques. Our unique privacy concept is taken to new heights on Erica XII. There are two steering stations at deck level, the aft deckhouse being reserved exclusively for the owners, with a huge separate lounge cockpit and dining area in-between. A dedicated crew cockpit with dodger is located just forward of the mast - another unique feature for a boat of this size. The owners' stateroom is completely separated from the navigation area and social cockpit amidships. The four guest cabins and their ensuite facilities in the aft section are also apart. The main deckhouse includes a dining space, bar and navigation area. The lower, open-plan saloon takes up the full beam and is adjacent to the gym and captain's office, which can be converted into a spare cabin. Four crew cabins, a galley, crew mess and a large laundry room are integrated in the forward section. Redman Whitely Dixon was responsible for the interior design of Erica XII and MCM was the owner's representative.

This yacht appears to have changed hands since it was built as "Erica XII" by Vitters Shipyard. I really have not seen her around alot but just came across her underway as "Anne" and realized it was the old Erica XII from 2009. Here is a discussion thread for her.
