Codecasa’s 55-Metre Framura Is Four Decks of Pure Luxury
Onboard the motor yacht framura..
Some guys have all the luck, and that certainly applies to the lucky owner of the brand-new 55-metre luxury yacht Framura.
Launched in the summer of 2020 by the Italian shipyard Cantieri Navali Codecasa , and delivered in mid-2021, the four-deck Framura neatly blends a classic exterior design with a bright and forward-looking interior.
That eye-catching exterior follows a traditional structural form, with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure configuration. Setting the stage for what awaits within is a striking silver-and-white two-tone finish that is at once timeless and fresh.
The full-displacement hull houses twin 2,365 horsepower caterpillar diesels that have more than enough oomph to push Framura to a maximum speed of 17 knots. At a more pedestrian 12 knots, this yacht enjoys a range of more than 5,000 nautical miles. That’s more than enough for a transatlantic voyage or a trip from Vancouver to Tahiti with fuel to spare.
Guests onboard Framura will enjoy those long hauls in total luxury, of course, thanks to the airy interior treatment that reflects a collaboration between the shipyard and the owner’s personal interior designer. Oversized windows surrounding the main and upper decks flood the interior with natural light, while light-hued furniture and textured fabrics maintain a sense of openness and cleanliness throughout. White walls and light woods, accented by indirect overhead and side lighting, ensure a light, refreshing atmosphere day or night.
Framura accommodates 12 passengers, with six spacious staterooms, including four guest cabins, a sumptuous VIP suite, and an enormous owner’s suite with a large ensuite with a walk-in shower, a spacious dressing area, and a seating area for enjoying morning tea.
The main deck provides plenty of space for the owners and their guests to lounge and unwind, indoors or out. The salon offers multiple places to stretch out with a great book or engage in quiet conversations. It also provides an audiophile-quality home theatre system for evening entertainment, complete with a large theatre-style sofa and four free-standing club chairs.
Heading aft, the expansive cockpit offers comfortable lounge seating while leaving plenty of space for a full dining table, allowing guests to enjoy dinners outside under the protection of the extended hard top.
Looking forward, twin promenades lead to the open bow and its delightful seating area with a pair of power-actuated tables for afternoons in the sun.
A tasteful staircase to the port side of the cockpit invites guests up to the bridge deck. The yacht’s TEAM Italia I-Bridge features an unusual design, with a central island and peninsulas along the side windows, but the result is a highly functional and comfortable suite that benefits from the latest in digital navigation technology.
The upper deck offers still more space for guests to unwind in peace or work on their tan with an open upper cockpit offering elevated views of the surroundings. It also houses a fully equipped gym so guests can work out while enjoying the views.
With its modern appointments and classic design, Framura raises the bar on yacht design. Crisp and inviting, it is a brilliant take on the contemporary family yacht, one that is certain to inspire a whole new generation of designs.

Codecasa’s 55 metre “Framura” hit the water in 2020. It is a pure and classic motoryacht sporting a long lasting yacht building tradition and a logo which has always been kept with no changes without ever giving way to racy short lived trends.
The project design of the new 55 metre was drawn up by the in house design team handling the interiors and number C123. Like others it is named “Framura” and is preceded in chronologic order by 45 metre Construction F72 “Framura 2” renamed today as “Tenshi” launched in 2010 and by 50 metre construction number C120 “Framura 3” three years later in 2013. A different yacht altogether from the two preceding ones belonging to the Open line initialled by Bacigalupo. Both versions are equipped with Ka.Me.Wa. water jets which push the top speed up to 30 knots while the new 55 metre model is a more classic displacing motor yacht with four decks, more traditional in line shafts and twin Caterpillar engines which propel it to an estimated top speed of 17 knots.
In this more subdued version “Framura” offers great on board comfort offering guests elegant and welcoming surroundings and atmosphere thanks to the owner’s architect of choice. The interiors feature sober classic coloured patterns which without being dull are relaxing and bright. The yacht’s cruising range is expected to be of approximately 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. “Framura” sports a lovely owner suite on the main deck, a VIP suite and four guest cabins situated along the lower deck. Both living rooms are bright with natural light. A formal one is situated along the main deck, comprising a bar, dining area and a sea view lounge along the upper deck and movie theatre, coffee and gaming tables.
The exterior decor has not been overlooked. The cockpit situated on the main deck has loads of room in which to relax. It is furnished with comfortable seats and low tables partly protected from direct sunlight thanks to the main deck’s overhang. Instead the upper deck offers a large dining area aft in the stern end which comprises two sofas and a breathtaking sea view away from curious prying eyes.
The sun deck is dedicated to tan fans but not only. Part of it is shut off and dedicated to host a gym equipped with air conditioning, the stern section is expressly dedicated to sun bathing and the segment in the bow of the same deck sports a generous Jacuzzi tub.
So as to offer five star service and equal comfort “Framura” has six crew cabins with twin beds and the captain’s cabin which has direct access to the modern helm controls station.

A General Description of motor yacht Framura 2A large superyacht Framura 2 is a very high quality Italian built superyacht which was launched to accolade in 2010. She is a recent superyacht. Finished and launched in 2010 the recent interior design and decor showcases the evolutionary progression from Della Role Design and their approach to interior yacht design. Codecasa Motor Yacht FRAMURA 2 will have more space and volume in the relax areas, and in the guests and crew cabins, thanks to a further increasing of the dimensions. The interior decoration of the Superyacht Framura 2, classic but in modern key, are by Arch. Anna Maria and Franco Della Role in collaboration with Arch. Margherita Gozzi, giving a simple aspect to all areas, with no decorative enrichments. Among the colours here prevails the contrast between the dark wengé of the floor (in the saloon and in the Lower Deck Owner and Guests areas) and the light ivory leather used for ceilings, side-walls, sofas, armchairs, and for the panel separating the saloon from the Bridge and for all the headboards. Maple panellings are used for the walls on Lower deck with wengé recall visible on the bed structures as well. The two large volumes at the saloon entrance to the Framura II yacht internally offer a number of services. The one on right side consists of a Day-toilet and of a dumb-waiter able to connect all three decks ; the one on left side hides a passage for the crew which connects the crew area to the saloon, this area also offers a wine cellar and a coffee machine. The interior decorative material of these two volumes is in lacquered bronze wood with some shelves in dark Emperador marble. The saloon, besides the sofas zone, of this beautiful recently launched Yacht Framura 2 provides also a game table on the right side and a relax corner with a style coffee table and armchairs, whose vibrant colours recall the paintings hung on the partitioning panel. In front of it is the plexiglass dining table, with basement in wengé, able to accommodate up to ten guests. The partitioning panel consists of a fixed part and of two sliding side doors, which, when opened are a way to reach the wheelhouse and the guests stairs, while, when closed, they allow much more privacy to saloon and dining area. The bridge hidden behind the saloon partitioning panel has a wonderful view and it is provided of the most modern navigation and communication equipments. The Codecasa Framura 2 motor yacht Sun Deck has a second helm station, a relax sofa, a big multi-equipped sunbathing area and a second alfresco dining table able to seat up to ten people. All this is reachable by stepping on an ample and comfortable polished stainless steel ladder. Besides the gyroscope stabilizers, the Framura II yacht also offers two innovations outside on Main Deck: a sunroof in the aft cockpit to give more shadow to the relax area, and an automatically opening awning in the seating area at bow side thanks to a hydraulic mechanism hidden in the structure. Finally, the yacht Framura 2 provides a 6,26 meters Castoldi Tender in the garage and of a comfortable outside bathing platform. The Construction & Yacht Design with respect to Luxury Yacht Framura 2Andrea Bacigalupo was the naval architect firm involved in the formal vessel design work for Framura 2. Her interior design was completed by Della Role Design. Andrea Bacigalupo is also associated with the yacht general design work for this yacht. In 2010 she was actually launched to celebration in Viareggio and post sea trials and detailing was afterwards handed over to the yacht owner. decasa completed their new build motor yacht in Italy. Launched in 2010 as the first 45s from Codecasa. Framura 2 is based on the popular 41s and 35s yachts and boasts three 2400hp MTU engines, enabling her to reach an impressive 32 knots. Other features include revolutionary gyrostabilisers and a sunroof in the aft cockpit. An interior by Della Role Design accommodates 10 guests in a master suite and two double and two twin cabins. Framura 2 was the winner of the Two Deck Semi-displacement or Planing Motor Yacht Award at the 2011 World Superyacht Awards and is asking €18.5 million. We don't have any additional photos of this yacht. Do you? Motor Yacht The Admiral 35 'FRAMURA', construction #112, was launched July 2007. Built of light aluminium alloy 5083, the new planning Admiral of 35-m length is powered by two Diesel engines MTU 12V 4000 M90, each developing a 2.775 hp, to a total cruising speed of 30 knots. Exterior lines, designed by CNL Style Department are sleek and harmonious and the night-blue hull alongside the silvery superstructure creates an extremely sophisticated look. Interiors, designed by Luca Dini Design Studio, are classic and elegant: materials such as oak’s pith in the walls and valuable wengé on the floor predominate throughout this vessel. In the main deck a passageway separates the saloon with the dining room from the ample owner’s cabin equipped with a marble bathroom and a sauna. The galley is located in the lower deck and is connected to the dining room through a dam waiter. Two twin cabins in the prow and a twin and a guest on sides complete the arrangement of spaces. The crew area is in the aft and it consists of a captain’s cabin, two cabins sleeping two each and a service area. In the upper foredeck garage, where the jet-ski are usually located, is a gym whose roof is a carbon-steel canopy that can raise up to three meters, allowing open-air workouts and a new way of onboard fitness. Framura 3 is the sixth planing sports yacht constructed by Italian yard Codecasa, as well as being the second model for the same owner and the largest model in the S range built by the yard.Codecasa inaugurated the sports yacht series in 2004 with a 35 metre.
