• R C. July 23, 2022, 11:58 pm I had Robert do some simple electrical work on open console fishing boat. He was over a week late to do the work. He overcharged me excessively for the work that was done and he didn’t do the work that we agreed to ahead of time nor did he do the marine work correctly that he DID complete. I’ve not ever dealt with this marina prior but if their staff are ANYTHING at all like the worker Robert that does electrical installs, marine wiring, etc then I STRONGLY recommend avoiding this place at all c osts. I took a factor boat to them and wanted simple wiring done and now I have to get the work they did (by Robert) fixed by someone who actually knows how to do marine electrical work and not to mention the extra costs associated. I write very few reviews online because I expect there to always be small issues as no in the world is perfect nor a mind reader however I honestly feel that Robert and unfortunately North Florida Yacht Sales is very unprofessional and are a scam as they did not do what was promised nor did they do even mediocre work on the part they did complete. I could NEVER recommend anything from this location nor any work EVER to be done by Robert as I highly suspect you’ll pay dearly to have it corrected after you leave. That’s of course if Robert doesn’t get an attitude when you ask him why he didn’t do the work you paid for. … – show 0 0 Reply

• Tom L. May 16, 2021, 4:25 pm Bought a new Nauticstar bay boat in what should have been a simple transaction. Selected the boat, selected the options available, and then picked up the boat with a Vystar check. Not even remotely close. The salesperson, Michael, had only a limited amount of knowledge on IPilot trolling motors so I had to do the research myself to get the model that made the most sense for the boat. Next was the bimini. I asked if I could get a 8 foot long bimini, told it could be done, only to find out from th e subcontractor that was not the case. 8 foot was the width, 6 feet was the length. I ordered and installed my own 8 foot long bimini after the sale. He did recommend a Fusion stereo over the stock Infinity, and that turned out to be good advice. When I picked up the boat my salesman was unable to be found, but left me a small bag with my keys and manuals. A week later their vendor was installing my IPilot and there was a part missing that was supposed to have been in the delivery bag. I called Michael explaining this part was missing and he begrudgingly said he would have one at the front desk. When I arrived on a rainy Saturday he was there, and asked me what the problem was. I said “the boat is a week old, no problem”. Clearly irritated, he then said “No, what is your problem!” My wife looked at me like “what is wrong with this guy?” Surreal. I've had the boat for 6 months and besides the occasional fogging of my gauges, no concerns, great boat. I had hoped to bring it in for warranty service and hopefully have a better experience, balancing out this review, but the boat has been great. I hope to one day use the service dept and he a me to leave a more positive review than my sales experience. Great product, but I would avoid Michael if you are looking for more than trading a check for a boat. … – show 0 0 Reply

• G May 12, 2020, 4:59 am Had a terrible experience with Jim Hamlin. I went through an entire weeks worth of negotiating. Passed up a deal on another boat. After being very clear about the details in every aspect. When I finally drove over 2 hrs to pick up my boat. This was the text he sent me… Were at our deal of $46,237.00 +Reg +Tax 49484.16 total out the door. I have every copy of every message sent to me. Only to get there and have them waste our time and add additional monies to the deal. Nothing honorable about this company or the people running it. They lost a boat sale over a few hundred dollars. I am not sure what it takes for companies to run honestly but when something like this happens it just goes to show you how greedy companies truly are. Needless to say, we will never do business or recommend this place to anyone. Jim, you had a boat deal and gave us a price OUT THE DOOR. That means all fees included. Pretty s ad to have arrived with an extra $500 added to the price. Maybe next time you should consult with someone before giving a price OTD. … – show 0 0 Reply
• John B. January 27, 2020, 5:34 pm By far the worst place to buy a boat from. I bought a new sea hunt boat and magic tilt trailer from them. I had serval issues with the trailer and they neglected to tell me that they do not have a certified trailer mechanic. In stead they kept of saying it was stuff that wasn’t “warranty” and kept attempting to charge me. Well come to find out the whole issue was that my emergency brakes were engaged and by the time it was found they attempted to say it I had to pay fees to get it fixed. I also had issues with my guide poles and they were never fixed. I also had issues with my Simrad system, under water lights, mister system and speaker system. The worst person there is Scott the manager, he will be nice to you during the sale but after that he can be rude. … – show 0 0 Reply
