  • Fans speculate about the return of Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 after Gary King's alleged misconduct.
  • A recent Bravo commercial confirms Sailing Yacht's return, sparking excitement among viewers for its comeback this fall.
  • While uncertainty remains about Gary's involvement, fans can still anticipate the return of one of the best Below Deck spin-offs.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5's fate has finally been confirmed after nearly a year of speculation, giving an answer about the series after Gary King 's alleged bad behavior. While there has been speculation about the Below Deck spin-off for nearly a year, there have been a lot of questions over whether the series should even bother to return after Gary, the First Officer working aboard Parsifal III , was accused of sexual misconduct in 2023 . Gary staunchly denied the rumors, but news about Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 has been at a complete standstill since the allegations surfaced.

While Gary King's involvement isn't known, Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 will air in fall 2024.

According to Pinsleric on Reddit, a short commercial aired on Bravo in the last day that showed the title graphics of this fall's returning shows. Among the bunch, with the Real Housewives franchise taking point, it was revealed that Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 will be returning to Bravo this year . "Unsure if this is the previously filmed season 5 or if they filmed another season after without Gary - but this seems to be the first confirmation that the show is not completely scrapped," the user shared, before posting the video for confirmation.

While its unclear if the season is the same one that was already filmed and had Gary in it , or when Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 is set to air, the video appears to be confirming that it will be back on Bravo. Though there were plenty of mixed feelings about the future of Sailing Yacht , there will no doubt be some excitement to see one of the best Below Deck spin-offs returning to the network.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

How Should Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 Handle Gary King?

Gary king will likely appear in sailing yacht season 5.

Gary's involvement in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 has yet to be confirmed, but it’s likely that he’ll be a part of the season if Bravo hasn’t reshot it entirely . It appears that the season of Sailing Yacht that was shot last summer is going to air on Bravo, meaning Gary will be most likely be heavily involved in the storylines. After learning about the sexual misconduct allegations against Gary , which he’s vehemently denied throughout the last year, questions arose over his future involvement with the franchise, though Bravo gave enough credence to remove him from last year's BravoCon.

With Gary's behavior having taken a toll on Below Deck Sailing Yacht , his involvement in the series should be far more minimal than it would have been. Gary's attitude surrounding the accusations has been uncomfortable, and his social media presence has made it clear he doesn't believe he's done anything wrong. While the allegations haven't been confirmed, Gary's behavior in the past has led to questions about whether he’s telling the truth regarding his interactions with accuser Samantha Suarez. With the Below Deck spin-off returning, if Bravo hasn’t reshot it, Sailing Yacht should edit around Gary as much as possible.

Throughout Below Deck Sailing Yacht ’s run, it’s been clear that Gary has had more of a playboy attitude than a serious one, which has made his behavior around women seem more cavalier in past years . Now with sexual misconduct allegations running rampant and seemingly confirming Gary’s behavior has been poor, it’s possible that his involvement in Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 could be major. The series is confirmed to be returning, which is a major win for fans who have been waiting to see if the Below Deck spin-off would be back, but it’s unclear where Gary stands.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 Reunion Recap

The Below Deck franchise on Bravo has launched many successful spin-offs since it’s inception in 2013. One of these spin-offs is Below Deck Sailing Yacht , which has just finished airing Season 4 . In this series, Captain Glenn Shephard faithfully leads his crew each season onboard the Parsifal III sailing yacht. Since Season 2, Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher , First Officer Gary King , and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae have joined Captain Glenn for filming.

These three yachties have now become the faces of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Their tightly-knit friendship and playful banter have always made for great television. However, Season 4 was rough on this faithful trio. During the Season 4 reunion, it became clear that some of these friendships were fractured beyond repair.

Here’s a quick recap to help break this down: Daisy and Gary’s long-standing flirtation came to a head. This was due to Gary’s “casual” leaking of his and Daisy’s physical encounter(s) in between Seasons 3 and 4. This news came as a shock to Colin, as he and Daisy were entering into a boatmance when this revelation struck.

During the reunion, a since broken-up Daisy and Colin threw stones at each other, each blaming a lack of trust as the cause. The two are no longer close. Gary is still friends with both of his coworkers, however.

Currently, Below Deck fans have their eyes open wide for signs of Season 5’s filming. Images of a crew alongside the Parsifal III have been taken (and shared). Other fans have undergone deep dives on social media to unearth possible new cast members. With that in mind, here is everything that’s been leaked about Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5.

The Filming Location

Spotted in Ibiza by u/Take_Me_To_Ibiza in belowdeck

Last month, a fan caught sight of the Parsifal III docked in Ibiza. Images of this infamous vessel were immediately shared over on the Below Deck subreddit . A film crew can even be seen onboard capturing footage. Shortly after this was shared, another fan on a cruise in Ibiza spotted the Parsifal III with a group of charter guests off of the coast of an Ibizan village.

With these two sightings in mind, the Balearic Islands are likely Season 5’s location.

Only Two Returning Cast Members Have Been Spotted

Spotted filming in Ibiza! by u/Successful-Will-95 in belowdeck

While we can safely assume that Captain Glenn will return for Season 5, the other cast members have held a large question mark post Season 4’s drama. That said, several days after the Parsifal III’s spotting, fans caught sight of a new cast eating dinner in an Ibizan town, Dalt Vila. Within the image, Gary and Daisy are clearly seen. Colin is noticeably absent.

If there are any Colin stans reading this, hopeful that Colin is just resting onboard and not at this dinner, I have bad news. Online, Colin is sharing videos on his YouTube Channel, Parlay Revival . These videos show that Colin is currently sailing across the Pacific Ocean on his Catamaran. As the Balearic Islands are connected to the Atlantic Ocean, Colin’s return for Season 5 is unlikely.

Regarding the other Season 4 cast mates, the images making the rounds do not feature any of their faces. However, Deckhand Alex Propson actually announced during the reunion that he will be appearing on another hit Bravo show. Alex is joining the cast of Winter House Season 3.

Based on the leaked images, it appears that Daisy and Gary will be the only returning faces from Season 4. The fans detectives within the same subreddit, however, have unearthed two of the possible new crew’s identities, alleging that one of the blondes appears to be Danni Warren . Side note, Danni’s Instagram recently followed Gary.

NO, Danni, RUN.

Danni also follows Chef Cloyce Martin , whose recent joins are people currently located in Ibiza. If Chef Cloyce is indeed appearing in Season 5, he will have big shoes to fill from the Season 4 Chef, Ileisha Dell . To note, while these 2 new crew members are not verified, their likeness does resemble those within the leaked image.

A Housewife Will Charter The Parsifal III

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tiffany Moon, MD (@tiffanymoonmd)

Real Housewives of Dallas star Tiffany Moon has posted images of herself onboard the Parsifal III in Ibiza in recent weeks. In her many shared posts of gourmet food, beachy tablescapes, and stunning sunsets, fans are weighing in to ask if she was indeed there for filming. While Tiffany is not responding to these specific inquiries, her timeline of posting coincides with that of the current filming schedule taking place. Therefore, it stands to reason that Tiffany will likely make an appearance in Season 5.

Season 5’s Premiere Date – An Educated Guess

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Below Deck (@belowdeckbravo)

Fans of this series will likely be waiting awhile for Captain Glenn’s latest adventures to broadcast. If keeping to its typical schedule, Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 will begin to air sometime around February – April of 2024.

That’s a long time to wait for answers, but wait we will.

Below Deck: Sailing Yacht Complete Guide: Updates, Cast, Seasons

When Below Deck sailed onto Bravo in 2013, it was a hit with fans. It quickly spawned several spin offs. Below Deck Mediterranean debuted in 2013. In February 2020, Below Deck Sailing Yacht premiered.

It followed the lives of “yachties” working on a 177-foot sailing yacht called Parsifal III. This luxurious vessel cruised the Ionian Sea. If you are a newbie, or just brushing up on this franchise, this Below Deck Sailing Yacht guide has everything you need.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Cast Members

Captain Glenn Shephard has been at the helm since the series debuted . He is relaxed until pushed to the limit. During Season 2, Captain Glenn assembled a core team that returned for multiple seasons.

During Season 2, Gary King served as chief officer, and Colin MacRae was the chief engineer. Chief stew Daisy Kelliher also joined the crew. Chef Natasha De Bourg , who had a Michelin-star rating, left after the second season. The guests may have loved her food, but Daisy was critical of her skills.

Chef Ileisha Dell took over the galley during Season 4. She prepared an elaborate, and time-consuming, 10-course meal. Chef’s kiss!

Memorable Moments

There have been plenty of fireworks on this franchise. And we have it all in this handy Below Deck Sailing Yacht guide. During Season 1, Chef Adam Glick and chief stew Jenna MacGillivray hit it off. Their PDA-filled “boatmance” turned off their fellow crew members.

There was baby drama after Season 2 when second stew Dani Soares announced that she was pregnant with Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux’s child. Jean-Luc requested a DNA test , which confirmed he was the father of Dani’s daughter.

And Gary participated in too many romances. During Season 2, he romanced both deckhand Sydney Zaruba and stew Alli Dore .

Then Daisy and Gary had sex between Seasons 3 and 4. During Season 4, Daisy also hooked up with Gary’s buddy, Colin. Yet Gary continued to flirt with Daisy. Season 4 became awkward in a hurry!

Gary was also involved in another romantic entanglement with stew Mads Herrera . But she locked lips with deckhand Alex Propson , too. Season 4 absolutely delivered!

Add in some nautical accidents, too. Captain Glenn hit the dock twice during Season 2. And during Season 3, a hazardous overnight squall put everyone in danger.

All in all, there was plenty of excitement aboard Parsifal III.

What happened to Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5? Here's what we know

W hat happened to Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5? That’s the question on fans’ minds after it was revealed Below Deck Med Season 9 will air following Below Deck Season 11.

Ever since Below Deck Sailing Yacht premiered on Bravo, it has followed the OG show.

Below Deck Med would then hit Bravo airwaves once the sailing show had wrapped it’s run.

That’s the way it’s been for the past four years, except for last year when Below Deck Down Under Season 2 aired after Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

So why all of a sudden is there a switch in the schedule, especially since Below Deck Med Season 8 just ended in January?

Let’s take a look at what we know.

What happened to Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5?

The reason for the change-up likely has to do with the sexual misconduct allegations that came out against Gary King after Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht was filmed.

Leaked photos revealed that Daisy Kelliher and Gary were back for another stint aboard Parsifal III with Captain Glenn. The two of them returning was music to fans’ ears as they helped make Below Deck Sailing Yacht a huge success with Colin MacRae.

However, a couple of weeks later, news broke that a member of the production team came out via Rolling Stone to accuse Gary of unwanted sexual advances and harassment. Gary was soon removed from the BravoCon 2023 list, making clear Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 could be in trouble.

Unlike when Peter Hunziker was fired by Bravo for a racist post and then edited out of the season, Gary has not been fired from the show. Plus, editing Gary out really wouldn’t be an option because he plays such a pivotal role and makes a good story even if fans don’t like him.

All of this means that what would have been Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 could be scrapped. Should that be the case, a new season of the sailing show won’t air for a long time.

Then again, maybe the powers that be are still trying to figure out how to save the season with Gary, and they just need more time.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans share thoughts on schedule change

A Reddit thread devoted to the Below Deck Med and Below Deck Sailing Yacht swap had fans buzzing.

“I would absolutely be okay with a delay if it means not having to watch Gary. I’m not sure I’ll even watch if he’s on it, especially since Colin isn’t. And Glenn the enabler has went from being best captain to #3 now…,” wrote one user.

Another admitted to liking the sailing show with Daisy but could do without Gary and would be fine if Season 5 never aired.

“AS IT SHOULD BE. Bravo needs to learn- you hire racists, you hire sexual abusers, you’re going to lose money. The end.” was another remark.

A different user doesn’t think the season will air and noticed Daisy switched her Instagram bio, so that may be a clue that Season 5 will never see the light of day. There was also speculation that Below Deck spin-offs will soon be combined for money reasons.

“That is a possibility or they’re still editing the heck out of it to reduce his role as much as possible but that has got to be a monumental task. I doubt they’d scrub an entire season but maybe more things have come out behind the scenes we’re unaware of and they have to do what they have to do especially with all the negative publicity they’re getting with Andy Cohen lately.” declared another user.

Along with Below Deck Sailing Yacht being pushed back, Below Deck Down Under fate seems to be up in the air. As Monsters and Critics previously reported, Captain Jason Chambers asked for fans’ help with Season 3.

Be sure to keep checking back for more news on th e Below Deck franchise.

Below Deck Med Season 9 premieres on Monday, June 3 at 9/8c on Bravo. Below Deck Sailing Yacht is currently on hiatus on Bravo.

A New Below Deck Med Stew's Arrival Has Some Crew Members “Seething”: “Don’t Want Drama”

Not everyone on Mustique is happy about Carrie O'Neill joining the Below Deck Mediterranean crew.

below deck yacht season 5 cast

It's official: a new stewardess is joining the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 crew. And some are happier about the late-stage addition than others.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck Mediterranean  on Mondays at 9/8c and next day on  Peacock . Catch up on the Bravo app .

Though they haven't actually met her yet, the crew first heard news of Carrie O'Neill coming onboard during their tip meeting in Season 9, Episode 13. While many (like Aesha Scott and Joe Bradley ) were thrilled by the news, some appeared less enchanted ( Elena "Ellie" Dubaich couldn't even manage a smile).

"Completely unnecessary," Ellie said after the new crew member's imminent arrival was announced. "F-cking ridiculous."

In a confessional, Ellie shared more of her thoughts on the matter: "Where is this coming from?" she asked. "Do we need a new stew? It better be a f-cking laundry stew."

Bri Muller , who handled the majority of the laundry tasks, simply noted, "I just know that I don't want drama...I'm working on maturing."

Meanwhile, Aesha said that her "life is going to get so much easier" in her own interview.

"Someone new coming on board is good because I'm being spread way too thin. But I know it's going to effect the dynamics of the crew. Ellie is seething in her cabin and I feel like this could mark the point where things go south with us. It could blow everything up. But at this point, I don't care. I need the help."

Earlier in the episode, Captain Sandy Yawn had floated the idea by Aesha ... who basically jumped into her arms with joy.

"How would you feel if we brought on another stew?" the captain asked after noting that her chief stewardess is never able to sit for meals — she's always chowing down on the go.

"That would feel amazing. It would solve everything," answered the New Zealander, going in for a hug.

Who is carrie o'neill.

A Scotland native, Carrie has spent a whopping 10 years in the yachting industry. According to her official BravoTV.com bio , she loves snowboarding, horse riding, running, or anything high adrenaline-related when she's not at work.

"I like to socialize or head off on a long run," she said. "I’m always up for an activity."

Aesha Scott Reaches Her Breaking Point with Bri Muller: "I Want to Consider Letting You Go"

Why did a new stew join below deck mediterranean .

The main reason Carrie was called to join the boat: Aesha had been working way, way too hard. "I am just spread so, so insanely thin right now," she noted. "At this point I feel like a one-woman show."

Early in the episode, she touched on her proclivity to pick up slack when needed. Later, she was shown up and at it 14 hours after her last break.

As for why this didn't happen sooner, there wasn't any place for her to live. Carrie was able to join the crew because a leaky cabin was  finally  repaired and she'd have somewhere to stay.

To see how everyone gets along, tune into  Below Deck Mediterranean  on Mondays at 9/8c. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.

Who are the worst Below Deck charter guests in franchise history?

Erica Rose on Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Jill Zarin on Below Deck

Below Deck Med just featured two of the rudest charter guests in the history of the hit-yachting franchise.

Mahisha Dellinger and Neysla Paltsev were dragged for their actions on Below Deck Med Season 9.

Meanwhile, Neylsa apologized for her actions o n the show but also threw some shade at the editing.

While Below Deck Med fans thought they were the worst, Neylsa and Mahisha are far from the worst guests ever to be on the show.

Let’s take a look at all the horrible guests ever in the Below Deck series.

Jill Zarin appeared on Below Deck Season 11 and earned serious backlash for her entitled behavior and for suggesting the crew have a bell she could ring whenever she needed something.

The Real Housewives of New York City alum wasn’t even the primary guest on the charter but certainly acted like she ran things.

Below Deck Season 8 guest Delores Flora will forever be remembered as the drunk who disobeyed Captain Lee Rosbach’s orders and got kicked off the charter.

It all happened because of her drunken late-night swim, which she did again after she was forced to leave the yacht.

Timothy Sykes was on Below Deck Season 2, showing off his wealth by flying a helicopter to the dock, wearing shirts with his name on them, and just being a jerk.

He even announced that he deducted $5,000 from the tip he was going to give because he had issues with Chef Ben Robinson’s food.

Below Deck Season 6, Kari Klein was demeaned the worst for her comments on chicken. Kari called out another guest for ordering chicken, claiming, “Chicken is what poor people eat.”

Chelsea Enright appeared on Below Deck Season 9 with her jaw wired shut. Chef Rachel Hargrove was forced to make all of her meals in smoothie form, and they were to be exactly what the other guests were eating. Yes, it was gross, and she got impatient at every meal.

Honorable mentions for awful guests go to Brandy Coffey for her drunken medical emergency and RHOC star Alexis Bellino for her PDA with a guy she’s no longer dating. Both of these guests were on Below Deck Season 7.

Below Deck Med and Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Leon Glore and Justin Thornton get lumped together for their Below Deck Med Season 5 stint. Leo went off on the lack of Oysters until Hannah Ferrier proved him wrong with the preference sheet.

Meanwhile, Justin and the group were slammed for a low tip, considering they were overly demanding and ran the crew ragged. Justin even brought along his dog Scout, who had to stay ashore where the crew would check on him at various times.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 introduced viewers to Erica Rose . While the crew were not fans and neither were viewers, Erica’s Season 2 appearance was nothing compared to her return in Season 3 with her husband, Charles Sanders.

They complained about everything, especially Chef Marcos Spaziani’s food. Charles said McDonald’s was better. Aside from being rude and ruining the white couch with self tanner, Eric and friends left a $6,000 tip.

Other honorable mentions from the spin-off shows include Below Deck Med Season 6 guest Athena Lucene and Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 guest Dr. Kim Nichols.

We have no doubt there are some we missed, so let Monsters and Critics know in the comments section who you feel are the worst guests in the Below Deck franchise.

Below Deck Med airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo. Seasons 1-9 are streaming on Peacock.
