Turkey is a fascinating blend of the ancient and the modern, surrounded by the water on the three sides with a coastline some 8,000 km. in length. The Southwest corner of this coastline is easily one of the most beautiful in the world. Some suggested routes are giving at the end of page.

Gocek is a small village in an idyllic setting, in the corner of a well protected bay with pine covered hills on the three sides. When you charter a yacht from Gocek one can truly say " the holiday begins as you leave Dalaman airport for the 20 minute drive to Gocek". You travel through some of the most picturesque scenery in Turkey.

Our yachts are in Gocek marina with all facilities on hand including toilets, shower, water and ice. Well stocked food and other shops are very close and shopkeepers willingly deliver provisions to your yacht free of charge. On arrival you will be met by Blues Team who will show you, your yacht so you can settle in before going out for your first taste of delicious Turkish mezes (hors d'oeuvres), kebabs, kofte in Blue Restoran & Bar.

For many, this will be the first experience of Turkey and you cannot fail to be impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the local people and the sheer beauty of the scenery.

The season extends from April to November. By mid-May the sea has warmed up with the days long and sunny. June is perhaps the most perfect month with balmy evenings and delightfully warm seas. In July and August are not unbearably hot, as the prevailing winds are cool and refreshing, the nights comfortable. September is always popular with temperatures similar to the June. In October the sea is still delightfully warm and in spite of the possibility of the odd shower temperatures are usually in the high 67 F / 19 C.

The prevailing wind is North-Westerly but tends to blow up the Gulfs of Gokova and Datca from the West. Typically it picks up at 11.00 hrs and force four or five is quite normal in the afternoon. In the evening it drops to give a calm night. There is good exhilarating sailing throughout the season, although July and August are the months of the strongest wind.

Obligatory Extras

APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance):  is an estimate of 6.000 EUR paid with the balance for covering running costs during the charter: port and marina fee, jet ski (100 EUR/h), national park entrances, custom fees and charter licenses if chartered outside of Croatia and anything else that guests might need while on charter. A strict set of accounts is held by the captain throughout the charter and any funds not spent are refunded to the client in full at the end of the trip.*To drive a Wave Runner in Croatia one needs to have a boat driving license with him/her when on the Wave Runner. It is forbidden to allow a person to drive a Wave Runner if one does not have a license with him/her.

Boat rental prices include:  Accommodation on the yacht for maximum 12 guests, 8 crew members, wages and food for the crew, Croatian VAT 13%, fuel for main engines up to 4 hours cruising per day, fuel for 24 hours/day of generator use, complete linen and towels, yacht insurance, service on board, sojourn taxes, yacht cleaning, WiFi.  

Leisure equipment: jet ski (100 EUR/h; only with license), canoe, water ki (60 EUR/h), snorkeling equipment, 2x SUP, wakeboard (60 EUR/h), seabob, fishing equipment, LCD, TV, WiFi, board games.  

Food options  (per person per week): Half board (breakfast and lunch) –  400 EUR , Full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner) –  650 EUR .

• Beverages paid according to consumption – by bar price list

We are glad to offer great cruising at a competitive price that includes charter and brokerage fees, all Turkish administrative costs as well as carbon neutral cruising donations.

Extras are VAT, fuel, food, drinks and transportation from/to the boat. Stays at Netsel Marina in Marmaris are free but other marinas are extra. Trips to Greece will have extra costs such as customs and agency fees.

Yachting is expensive and expenses go up dramatically as yachts get bigger. Chartering a yacht is a great way to spend a week or two at a minimum cost. The costs of a chartered yacht may sound high if someone compares them with a hotel room but indeed it is economical to charter a yacht compared with the option of owning it. And the hotel comparison would be wrong. A better comparison would be to compare with a very large, private hotel suite that can travel across the sea at high speeds with its dedicated crew.

Boat owners do not make any profits from charter operations but simply lower their expenses. Chartering eliminates multiple major ownership costs such as purchase, depreciation, repairs and upkeep of a yacht, crew salaries, marina fees and various legal and administrative costs as well as risks.

GUIDE TO CHARTERING

Before embarking on the delightful journey of selecting the ideal vessel for your Blue Cruise sailing escapade, with our expert guidance, a foundational understanding of the concept of a “Blue Cruise” will prove invaluable in aligning your preferences with the perfect choice. Gulets are categorized based on their design, charter rates, levels of luxury and comfort, as well as the array of water sports equipment they house.

As a general rule, during the peak season of July and August, our gulets are chartered for a minimum duration of one week. While this is the norm, there could be exceptions, and we encourage you to reach out to our agency for any special deals that might apply.

The charter fee encompasses a comprehensive range of costs, including port fees and transit logs within Turkish waters, fuel and maintenance expenses for the ship’s engine (typically around 4 hours of daily motor sailing), onboard water supply, laundry services, crew wages, and overall service provisions. Additional charges encompass port and agency fees in Greek waters, fuel consumption for water skiing and Jet Ski activities, as well as the expenses related to food and beverages.

Most of the gulets within our fleet are registered at Bodrum Port. However, our clients are granted the flexibility to commence or conclude their voyage from any of the available ports such as Gocek, Fethiye, Marmaris, or Antalya, contingent upon the schedule of the chosen gulet. We encourage you to engage in discussions with us to determine the most suitable port for your journey.

Upon selecting a gulet proposal presented by our team, we will furnish you with a Yacht Charter Contract. Once the terms are mutually agreed upon, the stipulated deposit outlined in the contract should be transferred to our designated bank account as an initial installment for official confirmation. This prepayment constitutes 50% of the total charter fee indicated in the contract, and the remaining balance will be settled upon your embarkation.
