This VQ115 Veloce will be a tri-deck powerboat capable of a whopping 50 miles of speed, an exceptional feature for a 35-metre motoryacht.

Vanquish has received a thrilling new commission from a repeat client for what is set to be the world’s fastest aluminium superyacht with conventional engines.To achieve the desired power output, Vanquish will install three MTU-Rolls-Royce 2600s engines backed up by surface drives and a design that was taken as the starting point for this speed machine. At the same time, the yacht will have a range of some 500 Nautical Miles when running on two engines, with an extra fuel tank for cruising at 15 knots.

The narrow hull has been developed by Studio Delta and Petestep to optimise comfort and performance levels as well as increase efficiency at top speeds. Guido de Groot has successfully integrated the flybridge within a distinctive profile, part of a pure exterior design with clean lines and an instantly recognisable Vanquish look. Twin Seakeeper stabilisers will safeguard comfort at all speeds on this smart synthesis of a race boat and luxury yacht Outdoor entertainment options abound on the VQ115 Veloce with an expansive foredeck, large aft deck and flybridge sunbathing area. A large tender bay will house a VQ16, lifted by a hydraulic loading platform. A VQ11 will be housed in a second garage to starboard, also home to a live bait tank, paddleboards, sea bobs and other toys. This New Superyacht Will Be One of the World’s Fastest

Depending on who you ask, bigger may not always mean better, but in the world of superyacht designs , it does usually mean slower. However, this may soon change with Vanquish’s VQ115 Veloce , which the company has promised will be one of the fastest superyachts in the world more than 30 meters (about 98.5 feet) long.  

The VQ115 is designed for entertaining. 

Commissioned from the Dutch luxury yacht company by a repeat client, the VQ115 reaches an impressive 51 knots, which is a little under 59 miles per hour, and spans 35 meters or 114.8 feet. The 32-seat, three-deck powerboat is set to be delivered to its owner in North America later this year. 

To power the nearly 100-ton boat, Vanquish plans to install three MTU Rolls-Royce 2600s engines that surface drives will back up. When running on the two engines, the vessel will have upwards of a 500-nautical-mile range in addition to an extra fuel tank, which can be used for cruising at 15 knots. 

The yacht has a spacious saloon that leads to an outdoor deck.

A jacuzzi makes it easy to enjoy the water without getting into the ocean. 

The Vanquish team tapped the expertise of Studio Delta, a naval architecture firm, to design the yacht’s hull to minimize drag and increase efficiency when pacing at top speeds. The rest of the exterior, designed by Guido de Groot, is similarly sleek and modern and made from aluminum. 

On board, there will be no shortage of entertainment options. Two smaller Vanquish watercrafts, the VQ16 and VQ11, will respectively be housed on a tender bay and second starboard garage. A live bait tank, bar, saltwater jacuzzi, office space, cinema room, and multiple outdoor lounging and dining area are also part of the design. 

Cabin space was less of a priority as the client wanted more room for socialization. 

Despite its monstrous size, the VQ115 notably lacks cabin space—there are only three sleeping rooms. However, this isn’t an oversight, rather the client’s specific desire for a vessel designed for entertaining and interaction. At its size, the superyacht is sure to deliver on that front in a large way.

Vanquish VQ115: Dutch yard building world’s fastest 30m aluminium superyacht

Despite apparances, the Vanquish VQ115 isn’t some hare-brained concept boat that looks sensational but will never see the light of day.

This 115ft, 50-knot monster is set to be delivered to its North American home later this year and the Dutch yard claims that the Vanquish VQ115 will be the fastest diesel-powered aluminium superyacht over 30m.

Getting nearly 100 tonnes of superyacht to crack the 50-knot barrier is no mean feat so Vanquish recruited the services of Dutch firm Studio Delta to handle the naval architecture and create a fast, efficient hull in keeping with the razor-sharp exterior design of Guido de Groot.

Of course, employing an enormous amount of horsepower also helps and the triple MTUs churn out nearly 8,000hp in total, which is fed into the water by a trio of surface drives.

The idea of this thing charging along at 50 knots is a feat of physics bending that is hard to compute but exhilarating to imagine.

The combination of the relatively narrow beam (it’s 2ft slimmer than a Sunseeker 116 Yacht ) and the customer’s focus on living space rather than beds means the Vanquish VQ115 only has three cabins comprising an owner’s cabin , VIP and guest twin, though the cinema room does have two Pullman berths for some extra ad hoc sleeping options.

ABOUT THE VQ115

The Vanquish VQ115 Veloce is a 114-foot luxury superyacht with a flybridge that is due to be launched by the iconic Dutch yacht-building firm Vanquish Yachts in 2022. A relatively narrow aluminum hull with an axe-bow designed by Studio Delta and Petestep combines with an ultra-futuristic profile by Guido de Groot to give this sleek and bold model an absolutely unique look. A horizontal sheer, a shimmering metallic livery, dramatic glazing, refined architectural flares and an assertive, swept-back look are bound to draw envious glances in marinas around the world, while cool and contemporary living spaces set new standards in modern comfort. Though this yacht is about more than just good looks: it is set to be the world’s fastest aluminum superyacht upon launch, making it ideal for those who demand both cutting-edge style and high-speed cruising.

The low-slung, open-air flybridge floats elegantly above the rest of the yacht providing a compact place to enjoy fine views and fine company. There’s a triple-width sunpad in bespoke upholstery up here, along with room for a wet-bar, or sofa or two and a centrally positioned helm station with immense visibility. It is really the teak-lined main deck, however, that proves to be the most impressive level on this huge vessel. The lavish foredeck includes a vast bow-lounge with a U-shaped sofa, a pair of tables and a forward-facing settee, with enough seating room for up to 14 guests at one time. A couple of paces back takes you to one of the largest spa-pool jacuzzis on the market, which can also be covered by a cushioned sunpad when not in use. Heading back to the aft-deck you will discover a sunpad for four, a transom sofa, a wet-bar, an L-shaped sofa and a couple of tables, all carefully hidden beneath an overhang for plentiful shade. A set of tiered steps lead back to a full-beam bathing platform with a detachable hydraulic set of stairs that lower into the water at the touch of a button.

You will find not one but two tender garages aboard this yacht, with a cavernous amidship garage accessed via a chunky starboard door with room for a full-size jet tender and masses of storage for Seabobs and watersports equipment. A further, conventional garage sits beneath the transom, and can store a Williams or even a bespoke Vanquish tender.

Interiors present a sophisticated yet casual, modern but maritime feel, with plenty of white leather, blue piping, authentic hardwood, bronze-effect finishings and contemporary curves. There’s space in the main-deck salon for a pair of sprawling sofas, a work-desk, a mini-galley and a helm station with a trio of Raymarine screens and the latest navigational tech, all superbly lit thanks to cinema-screen side glazing. Cabins on the lower-deck benefit from generous dimensions and huge windows, and you will find a well-stocked galley with a dining sofa down here, perfect for preparing and enjoying hearty breakfasts. There are two twin rooms to port, one with en-suite facilities, though you can substitute the other for a cinema room.
