Meet XANADU, an incredible Cobra Nautique 9.2m, originally specified for the Mediterranean. It features a T-top, aft sunpad, forward sunpad, twin console fridges, and an amazing sound system—perfect for relaxing at anchor or bay hopping. However, it is equally well-suited for UK waters, thanks to its deep V hull that can slice through rough conditions and turn on a sixpence. Delivered new in May 2023 to her current owner, no expense was spared in outfitting XANADU with the finest materials and numerous extras, including a bow thruster, internal heads with sink, twin V8 300 Mercury engines, T-top, twin integrated Simrad plotters with Mercury systems, and much more. She remains in nearly new condition.

Cobra is renowned for building customizable, handcrafted adventure RIBs, celebrated not just in the UK but worldwide. With over 30 years in the business, Cobra designs and manufactures in-house at their facility on the south coast of England. This allows them to oversee every detail and relentlessly refine their designs to give clients the best possible experience. The hulls are molded in GRP using a high-precision 5-axis CNC machine, ensuring an unbelievably accurate build and a product of extremely high standards.

XANADU started her life in Mallorca but soon returned to the UK after the owner purchased a larger boat for the Mediterranean. She is UK VAT-paid.

XANADU 76, a true gem among the Riva Perso 76 models, has only been privately used and meticulously maintained by a dedicated crew and owner, making her one of the best offerings on the market. XANADU 76 is equipped with the most powerful engines available in this model, ensuring not only luxurious comfort but also outstanding performance. The engines, gearboxes, Seakeeper stabilizer, generators and water maker have all been recently serviced or upgraded to the highest standards.

As the 11th hull of the highly successful Perso 76 model built by Riva, XANADU 76 boasts a wealth of features and amenities. The yacht is well-appointed with a full teak deck in the cockpit and an electrical opening window that seamlessly connects the spacious salon to the outdoors. The salon itself is bathed in natural light thanks to large windows that create an inviting and comfortable atmosphere.

A Summary of Motor Yacht XANADU

XANADU was once called project/yacht name Fb 239. This 60 metre (197 ft) luxury yacht was built at Benetti Yachts in 2008. Motor Yacht XANADU is a impressive superyacht. The firm of naval architecture who actualised the drawings in respect of this ship is Benetti and Andrew Winch. The vessel had interior was the brain child of Andrew Winch / Owner. Luxury yacht XANADU is a good looking yacht that can sleep a total of 12 guests on board and has a total of 15 crew.

The Building & Design of Luxury Yacht XANADU

Benetti was the naval architect involved in the formal superyacht plans for XANADU. Also the company Benetti and Andrew Winch skillfully worked on this venture. Interior designer Andrew Winch / Owner was responsible for the creative interior styling. In 2008 she was formally launched with accolade in Livorno and post sea trials and final completion was thereafter passed on to the new owner. Benetti Yachts completed their new build motor yacht in Italy. Her core hull was constructed with steel. The motor yacht superstructure component is made mostly using aluminium. With a width of 10.4 metres / 34.1 ft XANADU has spacious size. She has a reasonably deep draught of 3.6m (11.81ft).

Engineering & Speed For M/Y XANADU:

The 3512 DITA engine powering the yacht is built by MTU. XANADU is propelled by twin screw propellers. The main engine of the yacht generates 1850 horse power (or 1379 kilowatts). She is equiped with 2 engines. The total power for the yacht is accordingly 3700 HP or 2759 KW.

The 27.45m/90'1" open yacht 'Xanadu' was built by Canados in Italy. Her interior is styled by American designer design house Luiz de Basto Designs and she was completed in 2009. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Canados.

Guest Accommodation

Xanadu has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites comprising one VIP cabin. She is also capable of carrying up to 3 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Range & Performance

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, with teak decks, she has impressive speed and great efficiency thanks to her planing hull. Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V2000 M93) 2,398hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 37 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 47 knots with a range of up to 553 nautical miles from her 7,500 litre fuel tanks at 37 knots. Her low draft of 1.29m/4'3" makes her primed for accessing shallow areas and cruising close to the shorelines. Her water tanks store around 1,300 Litres of fresh water. She was built to RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) classification society rules.

Northrop & Johnson sells Xanadu

• February 8, 2024

Thailand-based Joshua Lee sold the 34m Moonen superyacht, formerly known as Xanadu of London.

Northrop & Johnson has announced the sale of the 111ft Moonen motor yacht Xanadu , with Yacht Broker Joshua Lee acting on behalf of the seller. Xanadu ’s last asking price was US$4,750,000.

In 2022, the 1997 Dutch build underwent a comprehensive refit, which included a full respray, installation of new teak decks and an upgrade of systems. The interior was freshly updated, featuring “vibrant artwork, rich high-gloss woods, and plush furnishings that collectively contribute to an elegant ambiance”, according to Northrop & Johnson.

Xanadu ’s features include a cockpit that leads into an aft dining room, with the saloon forward. The main deck also includes a luxurious full-beam master suite with a skylight, a king-size bed, an en-suite bathroom with gold-plated fixtures, and a private office with an optional sofa bed for a ninth guest.

The VIP suite and two double guest cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms, are located on the lower deck, which is also home to a sauna. The flybridge includes a bar, barbecue, sunpads and alfresco dining. The yacht is equipped with Naiad AtRest® zero speed stabilisers.

Lee is the founder of Lee Marine and held the Asia licence for Northrop & Johnson, with both acquired by NextWave Yachting in 2023 .

SOLD: Another 86′ Horizon yacht gets a new owner in Florida

Word just came in from Chris Carroll that he has closed the sale of the 86′ Horizon Sky Lounge Yacht formerly known as “Xanadu.” This 86′ Horizon yacht represents the 82′ Horizon as “Queen of the Fleet”. She was built 86′ to accommodate a four en-suite stateroom plus 2 crew quarters and all of her other upgrades and options. The Dawn Moffitt interior exemplifies good taste and her present owner has incorporated new soft goods that coordinate perfectly. The moment you step into this Horizon yacht you immediately recognize how well maintained she is. For a sky lounge style boat, meaning that what normally is the fly bridge deck is fully enclosed offering a whole extra deck of beautifully laid out interior space, this yacht in particular handles surprisingly well and is a great boat for both entertaining and overnight trips.

This 86′ Horizon yacht formerly known as “Xanadu” was overseen by an experienced project manager/captain and no expense was spared to create this work of art. The present owner has spent upwards of $150,000 USD since his recent purchase and due to a changed in his plans, she is offered for sale.
