A Summary of Sailing Yacht HELIOS

The ample luxury yacht HELIOS is a sailing yacht. This 45 m (149 ft) luxury yacht was developed by Perini Navi in 2007. HELIOS was formerly called C.2099. Superyacht HELIOS is a majestic yacht that is able to accommodate up to 12 people on board and has a total of 6 professional crew. Ready for launch for 2007 this boat’s internal styling demonstrates the perspicacious tendencies from Perini Navi and their approach to interior yacht design.

The New Build & Designing with respect to Luxury Yacht HELIOS

The yacht's general design work came from Perini Navi and Ron Holland Design. The formal naval architecture drawings are the work of Perini Navi. Sailing Yacht HELIOS received her elegant interior designing from the interior design firm of Perini Navi. In 2007 she was actually launched with triumph in Viareggio and post sea trials and finishing touches was thereafter passed on to the owner. Perini Navi completed their new build sailing yacht in Italy. A fairly large feeling is brought about with a total beam (width) of 9.73 metres or 32 ft. With a 8.75m (28.7ft) draught (maximum depth) she is 8.75 (28.7 ft). The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the sailing yacht. Her superstructure above deck is fashioned from aluminium.

S/Y HELIOS Engineering & Speed:

HELIOS is engineered with a single efficient CATERPILLAR main engine(s) and can attain a swift top continuous speed of around 14 knots. The main engine of the yacht produces 1257 horse power (or 938 kilowatts). Her total HP is 1257 HP and her total Kilowatts are 938. Coupled to the HELIOS engines are a single screw propeller. The boat’s languid cruise speed is 10 knots which provides a range of 4100.

PRESENTING HELIOS

Truly a superyacht at over 193 feet, Oceanco yacht HELIOS is a well-designed vessel with accommodations for 12 guests, and enormous deck space for large dockside cocktail parties and corporate hospitality. The yacht build is Dutch from the Netherlands.  In addition, she has a beautiful blue hull with a white aluminum superstructure. The exterior of Motoryacht HELIOS is impressive.  Naval architects at Oceanco designed the yacht.  Interior styling by Florida-based Marc-Michaels Interiors.

The Marc-Michaels design truly enhances the M/Y HELIOS expansive interior areas. A large flybridge features a Jacuzzi, sunbeds, and a large aft seating area, with a wet bar. The main deck offers a central lobby. Additionally, a circular formal dining table with seating for twelve. There is also a spacious main saloon. The Owner’s private stateroom is on the main deck. It includes a study and a full-width bathroom. Guest accommodations are aft, on the lower deck. Subsequently, far removed for privacy, from the crew quarters.

The yacht is massive.  Twin Caterpillar diesel engines power the yacht at a surprising 16 knots top speed.  For comfort at anchor, the yacht features Koopnautic stabilizers.

Ever since he was a young man, he can remember wanting to be a ship's captain when he would pass by the large motor yachts on the way to go out fishing with his father Captain Mark. His Stepmother was an Instructor at Sea School, Jeff achieved his first Captains license in 2003 and has been in the industry ever since. He has done extensive cruising up and down the east coast of the U.S. from Boston to the Keys, From The great lakes down the Mississippi, across the Gulf of Mexico, and the Bahamas both on privately owned vessels and charters. Captain Jeff is 40 years old, married with twin daughters that are 7 years old, lives in Ft. Lauderdale Florida, and is learning to speak Spanish. He enjoys watersports, travel, outdoor activities and has a passion for aviation. He would describe his personality as Creative, Logical, Adventurous, and Easy going. He currently holds a 200/500 Ton ITC USCG Master Captains License and is a Licensed Yacht broker in the state of Florida.

Domodevo International Airport, located 42 km south of Moscow , is one of three major airports serving the city along with Sheremetyevo Airport and Vnukovo Airport . It is the second busiest airport in Russia. In 2003, the airport began an impressive expansion project in order to gain certification for wide-body aircraft operations. The airport is now capable of handling aircraft of all sizes. In total, the airport has two runways in total, which sit either side of the main apron and terminals. Domodevo International Airport has a large terminal building, formed of two separate concourses for domestic and international passengers. The terminal features all the usual amenities, including a VIP lounge, offering complimentary food and beverages and a range of additional services. A new terminal is currently under construction as part of the FIFA-18 program, which will become an extension to the existing T1. Ground crew and airport staff speak English at Domodevo International Airport.

The airport is well connected to the city centre, with road and rail connections, along with direct bus connections. Taxis from the airport offer falt rates and Uber is also available. The Aeroexpress is the quickest method of transportation between the airport and Moscow city centre. Domdevo International Airport is located 46 km from Luzniki Stadium and 70 km from Otkrytiye Arena. Both can be reach by either road or train. Domodedovo became Russia's first ISO certified environmentally friendly airport in 2003.

The 51.13m/167'9" motor yacht 'Helios 2' (ex. Anson Bell) was built by Palmer Johnson in Monaco at their Sturgeon Bay, WI shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Ramsey Engler and she was completed in 2002. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Sparkman & Stephens and she was last refitted in 2023.

Guest Accommodation

Helios 2 has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 suites. The supremely spacious full beam master suite incorporates its own study and dressing room. She is also capable of carrying up to 12 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Her features include separate crew passageway, deck jacuzzi, WiFi and air conditioning.

Range & Performance

Helios 2 is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure, with teak decks. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3508A) 8-cylinder 1,000hp engines, she comfortably cruises at 12 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots with a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles from her 20,300 gallon fuel tanks at 12 knots. Her water tanks store around 1,200 Gallons of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules, and is MCA Compliant.
