ENCORE features a detailed, light and stylish interior. The Aicon 72 Open is considered the flagship of the sporty Aicon Yacht range. The yacht is designed to make the most of external spaces and outdoor living with the wide cockpit being the central point.

The charter yacht’s offers modern furnishing and a wooden parquet floor in the salon and lounge with oak wood finishing on her cabinetry. This open and airy living area is equipped with comfortable sofas with special fabric – see images. The lines between the exterior and the interior harmonize with the large, unbroken side windows and a hardtop above the living areas in the open air.

This Aicon 72 open style yacht’s saloon has a 32'' LCD television, a Bose sound system with CD player and there is an ‘M5 TracVision’ satellite antenna with decoders. Also here is a bar area with seating along with a spacious dining area and a long and comfortable table.

Charter yacht ENCORE accommodation comprises 4 cabins for 8 guests overnight. There is a spacious and elegant master cabin with double bed, which is located amidships, with side windows to enjoy panoramic water views. The master also has an 15'' tv Lcd, a cd player, a digital safety box, and an en suite bath a shower bathroom. The master stateroom is at the centre of the boat with a large opening porthole for illumination in what has become one of the distinctive feature of Aicon Yachts.

A foreword VIP cabin comes with a double bed and there are 2 further guest cabins - of which one has twin beds and one has bunk beds. All cabins featuring 15'' Lcd Tv, cd player stereo and en suite bath with shower box. There is a well separated aft crew double cabin.

The Aicon 72 open style motor yacht’s nicely equipped galley has 2 fridges, a freezer, an icemaker, a dishwasher, ceramic burnes and a microwave.

Icon 72-meter Explorer ​ Icon Yachts and Redman Whiteley Dixon once again have collaborated on another new design. The UK design firm of RWD have contributed to the exterior styling of this new 72-meter long explorer styled motor yacht. The already optimized hull makes for a design easily switched from a normal leisure cruising yacht to an explorer design worthy of traversing more aggressive environments. According to Icon, the Explorer features a full beam owner's stateroom with a balcony. There are forward slanting windows on the fore of the yacht for the bridge and upper decks. On the aft bridge deck, there is an unusually long and large area dedicated for a helicopter. Up one deck to the fore of the mast is the sun deck. This Explorer styled yacht is another design by Redman Whiteley Dixon for the Icon Series. Icon Yachts and Redman Whiteley Dixon presented the new design concept, a 72-metre long Explorer motor yacht.

The new yacht has an optimized hull and features a full beam owner’s stateroom with a balcony. The slanting windows are located on the fore of the yacht and upper decks. The large helipad is located on the aft bridge deck.

The 72-metre Explorer yacht is not the first joint design for Icon Yachts and Redman Whiteley Dixon. Several months ago they presented  project of a 53-metre motor yacht , based on the successful Icon 62 superyacht.

MANZANOS II is a very comfortable and large luxury yacht. It has three cabins: a VIP cabin (double bed), a MASTER cabin (double bed) and a TWIN cabin (two single beds). All three cabins have private bathrooms and television. The yacht can comfortably accommodate 6 people during the night, although the yacht can accommodate up to 12 people per day. There is a large and bright saloon with tv and bluetooth sound system both inside and outside. The outside area is perfect for having lunch and/or dinner at a large table at the stern, sunbathing in the chill out area at the bow and enjoying the views from any part of the yacht. The galley is fully equipped including microwave, oven, coffee maker, ice maker and freezer, among others. Additionally, the crew has its own cabin on the galley side. Yacht that sank off Sicily was carrying people celebrating UK tech magnate’s acquittal on fraud charges

PORTICELLO, Sicily — Police divers resumed searching Tuesday for six people believed trapped in the hull of a superyacht that sank in deep seas off Sicily, including a British tech magnate who was celebrating his recent acquittal on fraud charges with the people who had defended him at trial.

The resting place of their sailboat is some 50 meters (164 feet) underwater off Porticello — a depth that required special precautions that complicated the work: Recovery crews said they were working in 12-minute shifts, a measure that slowed down their efforts to reach the cramped inside of the wreck.

The Bayesian, a 56-meter (184-foot) British-flagged yacht, was moored about a kilometer (a half-mile) offshore when a storm rolled in before 4 a.m. Monday. Civil protection officials said they believed the ship was struck by a tornado over the water, known as a waterspout, and sank quickly.

Grainy film from closed-circuit cameras from shore, broadcast on the website of the Giornale di Sicilia, showed the majestic, illuminated 75-meter (266-foot) mast of the Bayesian weathering the storm and then disappear over the course of a minute.

Fifteen of the 22 people aboard survived, including a mother who reported holding her 1-year-old baby over the waves to save her. One body has been recovered, identified by officials as the Antiguan-born on-board chef. The rest of the 10-person crew survived, including the captain whom prosecutors reportedly sought to interview.

“It’s a great, great tragedy,” said Britain’s ambassador to Italy, Edward Llewellyn, who visited Porticello on Tuesday. Britain sent four investigators to the scene, given the disaster involved a British-flagged ship and British citizens were among the missing.

Fire rescue officials have said the six other passengers will be considered missing until they are located in the wreckage. They include the tycoon Mike Lynch, who was once hailed as Britain’s king of technology and was cleared in June of fraud and conspiracy charges in a U.S. federal trial related to Hewlett Packard’s $11 billion takeover of his company, Autonomy Corp.

Also unaccounted for are Christopher Morvillo, one of Lynch’s lawyers, and Jonathan Bloomer, a chairman at Morgan Stanley International and the former head of the Autonomy audit committee who testified in Lynch’s defense.

Karsten Borner, the captain of the Sir Robert Baden Powell, which rescued the 15 survivors who managed to get into a lifeboat, said he was close enough to be able to see the Bayesian as the storm came in.

“A moment later, she was gone,” he said. “They said they went flat on the water and were sunk in two minutes,” Borner added, quoting the survivors.

The rotating search teams, each made up of two specialized cave divers, worked Tuesday to open up access points to get inside the wreck, which lies at a depth far beyond what most recreational divers are certified to reach. They were using a remote-controlled underwater vehicle, or ROV, to help in the search.

The divers have not yet been able to access the below-deck cabins because they were blocked by furniture that had shifted during the violent storm. Rescue crews said they assume the missing six are in those cabins because the storm struck when most would be sleeping, but the teams haven’t verified their presence there through portholes.

Luca Cari, a spokesman for the rescue teams, said the search was proceeding much more slowly than another big shipwreck in Italy, the 2012 Costa Concordia cruise ship that flipped on its side off Tuscany’s coast, because of the depth of the wreck and the limited space divers have to maneuver.

“That was much simpler. Here everything is more tight,” he said.

The outing was intended at least in part as a celebration of Lynch’s acquittal and a “looking forward to what was coming next,” said Reid Weingarten, a Washington attorney and a member of Lynch’s defense team who was not on the yacht.

“A lot of people went, a lot of people were planning to go and then of course this happened,” Weingarten said.

Some of the people who stood by Lynch throughout the ordeal were on board, including Morvillo, the lawyer, who Weingarten worked with and said “was like a brother.”

Morvillo’s wife, Neda, is also missing, according to his law firm Clifford Chance.

Aki Hussain, CEO of international insurer Hiscox Group, where Bloomer, the witness, was chairman, said the company was “deeply shocked and saddened by this tragic event.”

“Our thoughts are with all those affected, in particular our Chair, Jonathan Bloomer, and his wife Judy, who are among the missing, and with their family as they await further news from this terrible situation,” he added.

Charlotte Golunski, who survived the disaster, said she momentarily lost hold of her 1-year-old daughter Sofia in the water, but then managed to hold her up over the waves until a lifeboat inflated and they were both pulled to safety, Italian news agency ANSA reported.

The father, identified by ANSA as James Emslie, also survived, as did Lynch’s wife, Angela Bacares. Hannah Lynch, reportedly the couple’s 18-year-old daughter, is among the missing.

The yacht’s registered owner is listed as Revtom Ltd., according to online maritime database Equasis. Bacares is listed as Revtom’s sole owner, according to corporate registration documents from the Isle of Man.

Its name, Bayesian, may be a reference to “Bayesian Inference,” one of the two main approaches to statistical machine learning and the one that was used by Lynch’s company.

The yacht, built in 2008 by the Italian firm Perini Navi, was carrying 12 passengers and 10 crew. According to online charter companies, it had been available for charter for 195,000 euros (about $215,000) a week and was notable for its massive 75-meter-tall (246-foot-tall) aluminum mast, one of the tallest in the world.

The coast guard said to date there was no trace of fuel leaks from the wreckage.

In an unrelated event, Lynch’s co-defendant in the Autonomy trial who was also cleared, Stephen Chamberlain, was killed Sunday when he was hit by a car while running in Cambridgeshire, England, said Chamberlain’s lawyer, Gary Lincenberg.

New military photo captures a NATO warship taking out an explosive-packed drone boat during a Red Sea rescue mission

• A commercial tanker vessel came under attack in the Red Sea on Wednesday and was left stranded.
• When a French warship was sent to rescue the crew, it had to fight off a hostile drone boat.
• The incident follows months of Houthi attacks on merchant ships in the area.

A new photo released by the French military on Thursday captures one of its warships battling an explosive drone boat during a rescue mission in the Red Sea.

The European Union's counter-Houthi mission, known as Operation Aspides, said that it dispatched a French frigate to rescue the crew of a wounded commercial tanker following an attack on Wednesday that left the vessel without power and stranded in the water.

As the frigate arrived in the area, the warship detected another incoming attack on the oil tanker from a drone boat "heavily loaded" with explosives and destroyed the threat on-site, the French military said Thursday .

The military said that the frigate then evacuated more than two dozen crew members from the tanker, which is presently anchored in international waters.

The French armed forces did not specify who was responsible for the incident, but it follows months of regular attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels on merchant shipping lanes in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden with unmanned systems and missiles and drone boats in assaults like this. The Houthis have not claimed responsibility for the initial or follow-on attack on the tanker.

On the latest incident, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, an element of the Royal Navy, said that gunmen in small watercraft opened fire on the Greek-flagged MV Sounion as it was sailing through the Red Sea on Wednesday. The vessel was later struck by several unidentified projectiles.

The attack left the Sounion without power and adrift off the coast of Yemen, prompting the French rescue mission. Operation Aspides said on Thursday that the crew was transported to the nearest safe port of call in Djibouti.

"The lives of seafarers and freedom on the high seas are nonnegotiable values and their protection is a key objective" of the security mission, Operation Aspides said.

But the European Union warned that the Sounion and the loads of crude oil it's carrying "now represents a navigational and environmental hazard. It is essential that everyone in the area exercises caution and refrains from any actions that could lead to a deterioration of the current situation."

The incident appears to be the latest successful attack on a Red Sea vessel. The Houthis have struck a number of merchant ships since they began their campaign last October, even sinking at least two of them.

US and European naval forces operating in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden have been tasked with intercepting Houthi missiles and drones , and the American military frequently carries out strikes in Yemen targeting rebel facilities and weapons.

US forces destroyed a Houthi surface-to-air missile and radar system earlier in the week , the Pentagon announced on Wednesday.

80s TV actor ‘had trouble breathing’ during mushroom-fuelled boat ride with co-star

The cast of Cheers have opened up about a wild, drug-fueled boat ride they once embarked on after calling in sick at work.

The acclaimed sitcom, which sparked the iconic Frasier spin-off , aired between 1982 and 1993, following the daily lives of the staff and customers at a bar in Boston.

It boasted a star-studded cast including Ted Danson, Shelley Long, Kelsey Grammer, Woody Harrelson, Rhea Perlman and the late Kirstie Alley .

In an upcoming episode of the Where Everybody Knows Your Name podcast , Ted, Woody and George – who played Sam Malone, Woody Boyd and Norm Peterson respectively – couldn’t help but wander down memory lane and the raucous moments that the cameras didn’t capture.

They recalled that they enjoyed a ‘hooky day’ after realizing that there were ‘very female-heavy’ scenes being filmed , meaning that they weren’t needed on set as much that day.

‘John [Ratzenberger] had just bought a boat and he was anxious to show it off, so we cooked up this little getaway,’ George began.

‘I remember we all met at his boat,’ Ted continued. ‘Woody and I, by then, were already stoned. We got on a payphone and called into the show, “I’m not feeling too good, I can’t come in”, and then hand the phone to the next person.

‘It was clear we were playing hooky.’

He shared that Kelsey, who played Frasier Crane , immediately went down to the lower bunk and was ‘sound asleep’ for the entire boat trip, as he had been ‘up all night playing cards’.

Reminiscing about the journey, the Good Place legend admitted that it was Woody’s idea to take the mushrooms, which he’d consumed on an empty stomach.

‘Woody turns to me and goes, “Have you ever had mushrooms?” And I go, “No. No, I haven’t.” And he said, “Well, this will be a good time. We have nothing to do. We’ll be out on a boat,”’ he said.

‘We hadn’t had breakfast, so I was fairly hungry and ate I think an extraordinary amount of mushrooms. I’m thinking, “Oh, this is all right.”’

However, the journey quickly turned into the boat ride from hell before they’d even made it to Catalina, as they battled ‘leftover waves from a hurricane in Mexico’.

Unsurprisingly, this didn’t mix well with the amount of drugs the pair had taken.

‘People not on mushrooms would be seasick, pretty much,’ Ted insisted. ‘But I sat there getting more and more and more freaked out, and whatever it is – you get stoned or whatever it is on mushrooms – and I look at you, Woody, and you [were] stretched out on a bunk.

‘I think, “Oh, he’s so used to this that he’s just cooling it and relaxing. I am panicking. I’m having trouble breathing. I’ll go up top.”’

It was then that he sat down next to a very sober George, who was a ‘lifesaver’ and twigged almost instantly that he was ‘high on something’, and quickly calmed him down.

Ted added: ‘You spent the next 45 minutes poking me about every minute or two and said, “Breathe,” because I would literally forget to breathe, and feel like I was dying, and then you’d poke me.’

Cocaine smugglers jump off boat holding £39m drug haul

Two drug smugglers who hid 350kgs of cocaine worth £39m in the hull of a boat tried to shake off pursuing Border Force officials by jumping into the sea.

Bruce Knowles, 55, from Dereham and Ferhat Gumrukguoglu, 31, from the Netherlands, were travelling in a RHIB speedboat just offshore from East Benacre Broads in Suffolk, when they were approached by the Border Force after officers noticed them acting suspiciously.

The video shows the moment Gumrukguoglu dived off the moving vessel and swam toward the beach to avoid arrest.

Following a short chase, the boat was stopped in the shallow water and officers moved in to arrest Knowles, but he also jumped overboard in a bid to escape.

Border Force officers were able to catch up with and arrest Knowles, while Norfolk and Suffolk police pursued Gumrukguoglu after he fled from the beach, arresting him later that day in Wrentham - a village two miles inland.

The boat was towed to a harbour in Lowestoft where it was searched by National Crime Agency officers, who found the haul of drugs hidden under tarpaulin.

Investigators believe Knowles and Gumrukguoglu travelled towards French waters to pick up the drugs from a larger ship, before bringing them back to the UK.

Both men were interviewed and gave no comment, but were subsequently charged with importing a controlled drug.

They pleaded guilty to the offence at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday.

NCA branch commander Lydia Bloomfield said: “Knowles and Gumrukguoglu knew they were going to lose a huge quantity of drugs when they were intercepted at sea by our Border Force colleagues.

“Both were working for a wider organised crime group, who will now feel the effects of a loss of this amount.

“Thanks to the work of our Border Force and Joint Maritime Security Centre partners, a very significant amount of class A drugs have been removed from the criminal marketplace where they would have fuelled further criminality and exploitation."
