Plan ahead for delicious dining experiences during your stay.

When to Book Guests may make advance dining reservations at select restaurants.

  • Guests with a Valid Disney Resort Hotel Reservation: Make reservations for your entire length of stay (for up to a 10-night stay) up to 60 days in advance of your arrival! This can help you enjoy streamlined vacation planning , since you can make all your reservations on the same day—rather than checking availability day after day.
  • All Other Guests: Make reservations up to 60 days in advance.

Explore dining experiences available for booking during your vacation.

Dining in the Theme Parks To dine at an in-park, table-service restaurant, you need a confirmed dining reservation for the total number of Guests—regardless of age—along with a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on that same date for each Guest ages 3 and up.

Dining reservations do not guarantee access to a park, and Park Hopper availability may change daily. We recommend that Guests book in-park dining at the park where they have a park reservation.

Disney Yacht Club from across the water

Dining at the Disney Yacht Club is the ideal blend of upscale and convenient, with plenty of options. Fitting with the feel of the resort, the dining locations have that county club vibe, even the quick service spots. All the while, the food is high quality and delicious!

The Disney Yacht Club also shares a few of our favorite dining locations with its sister, the Disney Beach Club . Get the best of both worlds with dining at this resort, Yacht Club providing class and Beach Club providing fun.

The galley is always open – disney resorts room service.

Enjoy a meal in the quiet and privacy of your own room with the Disney Resorts Room Service, excellent food options delivered right to your door. Just press “Dining Options” on your in-room phone, place an order, and the food comes to you.

At the Yacht Club, you’ll find typical Disney food options along with some nautical favorites, fitting with the theme of the resort. A delicious lobster and corn chowder or yummy local baked fish are perfect for seafood-lovers, or splurge on a fabulous Maine lobster roll. If you prefer landlubber cuisine, a brick lemon-herb chicken or a bacon cheeseburger will match your tastes. Buffalo wings and fries are always a good choice too if you need something quick and simple. Kids have plenty of their favorite options as well, like chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers.

There are also some awesome dessert options on the menu! If you missed the chance to hit Beaches & Cream, you can order ice cream up to your room. You can even get an entire cake to share, which is nice for a special occasion.

An 18% gratuity, $5.00 delivery charge and 6.5% sales tax will apply to all delivery orders.

The Market at Ale & Compass

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, The Market at Ale & Compass is the main quick service dining option at the Disney Yacht Club. Simply referred to as The Market , you can get a fast and filling meal any time of the day, and take a few minutes to peruse the souvenirs in the adjoining shop.

Especially if you’re in a hurry, The Market is a great place to take advantage of Mobile Order . This awesome service allows you to use the My Disney Experience app to order ahead at quick service locations. That means your food will be ready when you arrive! Pick up your food as you walk in, and head right back out, or stay and enjoy your meal. Either way, it will save you the time of waiting for the food to be prepared.

The Market at Ale & Compass

One of our go-to items at any quick service location is the Breakfast Bowl, with scrambled eggs, a Mickey waffle, bacon, and potato barrels (tater tots). I like to get these sorts of combo meals because they are easy to split, and definitely filling. A top tip is to avoid overeating, especially at breakfast, so splitting this meal is ideal. Also available, try different breakfast sandwiches and a healthier egg-white wrap if you want something of your own. Plain Mickey waffles are always a delicious option!

Snacks are well stocked at The Market, so pick up fruit, yogurt, or milk and cereal if you like to breakfast light. Plenty of yummy treats await you at the bakery as well, the chocolate-hazelnut croissant being one of my breakfast favorites.

Don’t forget to fill your mug with coffee, juice, tea, or milk!

Lunch and Dinner

For these times, a variety of hot or cold sandwiches and salads make for nice, light meals. The Cuban sandwich is one of the most popular hot items, with ham, slow-roasted pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, mayonnaise, and mustard all on a hoagie roll served with house-made chips. You can also grab a foot-long chili-cheese hotdog, similar to the gourmet hotdogs served at the Beach Club Marketplace.

Cold sandwiches are great to grab in the morning to take to the parks, or to bring out to eat by the pool. You could even pick one up before you leave, giving you a portable lunch if you’re driving home. Among these are the roast beef sandwich, slices of roast beef topped with horseradish cream, caramelized onions, and arugula all on multigrain bread. Vegetarians will love the roasted vegetable sandwich with roasted Portobello mushrooms, zucchini, red bell peppers, and cauliflower dressed with roasted red pepper hummus, topped with slices of fresh tomatoes and grilled onion served on herb Focaccia bread. Both sandwiches come with house-made chips.

Other Options

Kids have the additional options of grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, a ham sandwich, and an Uncrustable. The children’s meals come with a choice of sides and beverage, making these items a great deal.

The bakery is open all day, so don’t forget to snag something sweet! Sticky buns, chocolate twists, and brownies are all amazing. The bakery also has seasonal cupcakes , each with their own amazing flavor profile and fun decoration!

In the evening, stop by The Market for a variety of beer and wines, which you can enjoy there or take back to your room. If you want something to go, I suggest getting a bottle of wine rather than wine by the glass. You’ll have it for your whole trip, and get more value for your dollar.

There are two main lounges at the Disney Yacht Club – the Ale & Compass Lounge and the Crew’s Cup Lounge. Both are excellent places to relax in the evening, and enjoy a delicious beverage. These are both full bars, so only overage guests are permitted.

The Ale & Compass Lounge

Grab a drink while you wait for your Ale & Compass reservation, or simply lounge in the relaxed atmosphere. The Ale & Compass Lounge is ideal for a relaxing evening or quick bite, all while enjoying a refreshing drink. Opening at 4:00pm and staying open until 10:00pm, this lounge is a great place for an evening hangout.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Monica Glenn (@ftjtravelbymonica)

Healthy-sized appetizers comprise the food options, giving you filling snacks or lighter meals, depending on your plans. Items like the Parker House rolls with assorted spreads – bacon jam, pub cheese, and citrus butter – are great if you just want something to nibble while you drink. Flatbreads and a bacon cheeseburger are perfect for dinner in the lounge, both options are full sized meals.

In addition to the full-bar offerings, the Ale & Compass Lounge has several original cocktails. A twist on a class, the Maple Old Fashioned will give you that New England feeling. Made with Jim Beam Black Extra-aged Bourbon, maple syrup, orange juice, and angostura bitters, this is a great way to change up your regular. For those in a spicy mood, try the Spicy Pomegranate Margarita. Mix Tequila, Ancho Reyes Chile liqueur, pomegranate juice, and simple syrup together to create a zesty and delicious cocktail! A squirt of fresh lime juice on the top adds a bit of tang and cuts the heat.

Enjoy nonalcoholic mixers as well, like a grapefruit spritzer and the No-Kick Mule, just with ginger beer and lime.

Crew’s Cup Lounge

Outside the Yachtsman Steakhouse, the Crew’s Cup Lounge is a nice alternative if you can’t get a reservation at the steakhouse. The Crew’s Cup is also a good place for one of those appetizer as dinner nights, when you’re up to your ears in delicious (but rich!) Disney food.

On the appetizer menu, share a savory and delightful charcuterie and cheese board, coming with different accompaniments depending on the season. For something a little more substantial, the prime rib sliders are perfect, topped with horseradish cream and served on house-made onion rolls. Jumbo shrimp cocktail are always a great option as well, a light snack with just enough protein to get you to your next meal. Have the shrimp with the Yachtsman signature bread to round out a meal.

Crew’s Cup also offers full entrees, so you can add this to your dinner spot list. After 5:00pm, you can get an amazing ten-ounce prime rib, served with mashed potatoes and horseradish cream. For something a little different, try the Twice-fried Green Circle Chicken. Smoked Feta spoon bread and chicken croquettes come with pickled rhubarb and fiddlehead ferns, an interesting take on fried chicken.

You’ll come for the food, but stay for the drinks! Along with an extensive beer, wine, and bourbon selection, Crew’s Cup offers a large variety of signature cocktails. Literally Walk the Plank with an amazing blend of rye whiskey, orange juice, almond liqueur, and lemon juice garnished with Maraschino cherries. Combine the elements of country and tropical vacation with a Whiskey Breeze – Jim Beam Black Extra-aged Bourbon, Cointreau, and lime juice shaken with guava and mango for that aloha vibe. You could also choose to drink your dessert with the Godiva Chocolate Martini. A divine concoction, this martini mixes Godiva chocolate liqueur, Stoli Vanil vodka, Bols White Crème de Cacao, and Frangelico. This sweet treat will warm you from the inside out!

Available for breakfast and dinner, the Ale & Compass Restaurant is a great option for a nice family meal. Especially if you’re looking for a quality table service breakfast, you have to try out the Ale & Compass!

Think breakfast favorites, with an upgrade. The American Breakfast has the right balance of breakfast foods – two eggs any-style, breakfast potatoes, and choice of breakfast meats. Eggs benedict get the added decadence of smoked pork loin, along with herbs and spices in the hollandaise sauce.

While these dishes are amazing, the quick bread breakfast items change the game. No plain French toast here, but instead, we see salted-caramel apple French toast. Two massive pieces of French toast, sliced horizontally, and stuffed with delicious caramel apples. A buttery brown sugar crumble and salted-caramel drizzle tops the slices, completing the picture. However, that isn’t the end. The Dark Chocolate Waffles are to die for! Three thick, circular waffles hold a dried cherry compote, on top of which sits huge dollops of espresso-mascarpone cream, finished with chocolate shavings. It’s a good thing these richly incredible waffles come with a side of breakfast meat to cut through the sweet deliciousness!

Kid’s Meals

For your kiddos, they can get their favorites Mickey waffles or blueberry pancakes if in the mood for something sweet. Scrambled eggs and a mini-breakfast sandwich are great options if they want a savory dish instead.

As always, I recommend splitting an adult meal between two kids. Especially if they want to try something like the chocolate waffles or the French toast, the split is perfect. It actually works out to be cheaper than a kid’s meal!

Ale & Compass does specialty brunches for Easter and Mother’s Day, a great way to treat yourself or Mom! Going to be dining at the Disney Yacht Club during these holidays? You might want to consider an Ale & Compass brunch.

A great mix of surf and turf, Ale & Compass has a dinner menu that will please everyone in your group. To start your meal, try the amazing lobster and corn chowder or roasted garlic shrimp, both coming with house-made items to dip. Smaller plates are available in the form of salads and flatbreads, both meat and vegetables options to fit all dietary needs.

Of the main plates, our favorites would have to be the New England Seafood Pot Pie, braised short ribs, and the brick lemon chicken. For the potpie, it is stuffed full of a plethora of different seafood – shrimp, scallops, lump crab, and the catch of the day. Mixed in are pearl onions, peas, and potatoes, all coated in a creamy seafood cream sauce. The flaky pastry on the outside completes this delectable dish. The short ribs are fall-apart tender, accompanied by a flavorful roasted vegetable mash and barbecue demi sauce for dipping. Alongside the lemon chicken, you’ll love the duck fat-roasted potatoes and veggie sauté. Add truffle fries with a house-made shallot mayo for extra decadence!

If that weren’t enough, the three dessert options will send you right over the edge. Completely plant-based, the mango torte layers mango mousse and spiced lemon pound cake, covered with fresh berries and a raspberry sauce. You could also try the warm apple cobbler served with frozen vanilla custard, or a rich flourless chocolate cake covered in chocolate ganache and offset by a coffee Chantilly cream. Basically, if you’re not rolling out of Ale & Compass, something went wrong with your meal!

Kids have the ability to build their own meals, choosing from a selection of main dishes and sides. Kids that are more adventurous might like the pasta Bolognese or catch of the day, while a cheeseburger is there to save the day for pickier eaters. Side options include sautéed broccolini, macaroni & cheese, corn, and red potatoes, and kid approved! The side menu includes two dessert options – mini ice cream sandwiches and honey-marshmallow s’mores. Kids can choose to get one savory side and one sweet, working their dessert into the price of their meal.

Open only for dinner, the Yachtsman Steakhouse is the signature dining experience at the Disney Yacht Club. Designed to be elegant, upscale, and a true yacht-country club experience, this steakhouse has high quality dishes and a fabulous atmosphere. Yachtsman Steakhouse even has a dress code, heightening the fancy feel of the restaurant.

I recommend making this a date night or adults-only meal. Of course, you can bring your kids, but they need to adhere to the dress code as well. Between that and the sophisticated style of the place, you need to decide if this is the best place to bring your kids.

First Course

Yes, they even refer to the stages of the meal as courses!

First course items include steakhouse staples like a wedge salad, Caesar salad, and French onion soup, all of which are perfect ways to start your evening. If you want to try something a little different, consider the Ahi tuna tartare with a poke vinaigrette and wasabi, or the creamy lobster bisque. You could also get a charcuterie or cheese board to share if you don’t want to fill up before the main meal.

Chef’s Signature Offerings

These three dishes come recommended by the Yachtsman’s chef, and designed to be truly delicious experience. The first is the Chilled Captain’s Tower, a combination of jumbo shrimp, mussels, oyster shooters, scallop ceviche, and charred octopus salad. As the name suggests, the tower is served cold, and is ideal for the true seafood lover. If you prefer your seafood hot, I recommend you try one of the Land and Sea entrees instead.

Both of the other signatures dishes are made to share between two people. The first is a 28-oz prime porterhouse steak, 21-Day dry-aged, with accompaniments of bone marrow, green onion brioche bread, garlic butter, and your choice of two sides. Second is the Chilled Admiral’s Tower, and upgraded version from the Captain’s Tower. In addition to the Captain’s Tower seafood, the Admiral’s Tower also has Maine lobster, snow crab, and tuna tartare. Again, this item is served cold.

Butcher’s Cuts

It is a steakhouse after all, and these steaks are the main event. Filet mignon, prime rib, rib-eye, and New York strip all come cooked to order, with their own incredible seasonings and sauces to bring out the flavor of the meat. Of these, the filet mignon is my personal pick, covered in a cognac-truffle butter that adds to the unctuous nature of the steak.

Each steak comes with your selection of mashed potatoes, potato-leek gratin, sweet potato casserole, house-made French fries, or broccolini. You can also choose to add to your meal one of the signature Steakhouse Sides – truffle macaroni & cheese, creamed spinach, loaded hasselback potato, house-made truffle fries, or braised mushrooms. I suggest getting the broccolini with your meal (you’ll be glad for a vegetable!) and then adding one of the richer steakhouse sides.

Yachtsman Steakhouse offers further enhancements if you want to add to the luxurious nature of your meal. Get your steak Oscar-style, with asparagus, lump crab meat, and a rich béarnaise sauce. You can also add a half lobster, bone marrow, or thick-cut bacon for a little extra richness.

Land and Sea Entrees

Here’s where the hot, succulent seafood pairs with the delicious steakhouse offerings. Whole Maine lobster and Georges Bank Scallops are paired with incredible sauces and accompaniments to bring out their delicate flavors. If you want something unique, you might enjoy the Cervena Elk from the land side, with a parsnip puree and blueberry sauce.

You can also add the bone marrow or half a lobster to the items, or get them Oscar-style.

Yachtsman has several amazing desserts, but my picks would be the chocolate lava cake and the banana bread pudding. Using high quality chocolate, this lava cake is unlike any you’ve ever had. In addition the cake itself, it comes with a refreshing coconut ice cream to cut through the richness and is topping with a raspberry-Chambord Sauce and gingersnap crumbs.

The banana bread pudding is warm, comforting, and delicious. Caramelized bananas have the right touch of sweetness, as does the caramel rum sauce on top. A side of butter pecan ice cream ties the whole dessert together.

Disney Yacht and Beach Club Dining

While two separate resorts, the Disney Yacht Club shares a few dining locations with the Disney Beach Club. Of course, if you’re staying at either, it is easy to pop over to the other resort to enjoy the dining options. After all, the resorts share a pool area, they’re that close together!

However, two dining spots are right in the middle of the Disney Yacht & Beach Club that you’ll want to check out!

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill

Out by the pool, Hurricane Hanna’s is the main pool bar and eatery for Stormalong Bay. This is a great place for you to get a poolside lunch or refreshing beverage, especially if you don’t want to have to trek back to your room. Don’t let the fact that this is a pool bar fool you, Hurricane Hanna’s has some delicious options!

Much like other pool bars, Hurricane Hanna’s has lighter fare, which is what you want out of a meal by the pool. Grab a cool Greek or Caesar salad, perfect for a hot day and a light lunch. If you want to make your salad a bit more substantial, you can add chicken for that extra protein. The rest of the savory items are sandwiches, again ideal for poolside eating. The Italian Focaccia and turkey and Swiss sandwiches are both delicious, but our favorite is the seafood roll. Fresh seafood comes tossed in a citrusy mayo dressing, with just the right amount of zing. All three sandwiches come with house-made chips, which gives just the right touch to the meal.

What would a bar be without amazing drinks! Hurricane Hanna’s has two specialty cocktails you’re going to love – the Category 5 and Storm Chaser. Category 5 has that pirate feel that will have you singing Yo-ho, yo-ho, a pirate’s life for me! With Captain Morgan spiced rum, crème de banana, peach schnapps, you’ll be feeling the island vibes in no time; add in a mix of orange and pineapple juices and a splash of grenadine to balance out the drink. If that wasn’t enough, the Category 5 also comes with a float of Gosling’s 151 Rum.

Meanwhile, the Storm Chaser is made with vodka, Bacardi superior rum, blue curacao, and sweet-and sour. A splash of Sprite brings a touch of sweetness and effervesce for a tropical buzz. Between these drinks and the beaches of Stormalong Bay, you’ll forget you’re not on a cruise !

Aside from these drinks, enjoy plenty of other cocktails on the rocks or frozen, as well as a wide variety of beer and wines. We recommend the Sunshine Margarita, a Disney poolside staple, or the Frosé, a frozen concoction of rosé mixed with vodka. Both are refreshing, and perfect for a sunny day by the pool.

For the kids and nondrinkers in your group, there are sweet and cool smoothie options as well as some virgin version of your favorites.

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop has been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember, and it is still one of my favorite places to visit. I can’t tell you how many fond memories I have of sitting out in front of the quick service window, waiting for our No Way José to appear. And then watching it disappear in a matter of minutes! Our family is decided ice-cream lovers, and Beaches & Cream never disappoints.

Beaches & Cream opens every day at 11:30am, providing a place to get a fun and delicious diner meal for lunch or dinner. You can always skip straight to dessert…many people do! Beaches & Cream is also open until 9:00pm, making it a great place to stop after a day at Epcot or on a walk around the boardwalk. This is usually when we stop by, after touring through the other resorts in the area or playing a round of mini-golf. It’s a great way to finish an evening!

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Amanda Smolko (@a_bookish_baker)

Beaches & Cream has a reputation for fantastic and fanciful desserts, but that’s not all there is to this location. The menu features delicious savory foods as well, combining diner favorites with a touch of table service sophistication. A nostalgic, 1950s diner feel makes this bright and fun location just a great place to hang out. Especially with the recent remodel, the larger space and new décor adds something to the atmosphere.

Diner Delights

Start with a classic cheeseburger, grilled cheese, or French dip sandwich. You could also go for two of the most popular items, the cheddar bacon-ranch chicken sandwich or house-made Reuben. It wouldn’t be a diner if you couldn’t get French fries or onion rings on the side, but Beaches & Cream added tater tots to their menu with the reopening! All your favorite loaded fry options now come in tot form, so if you’re a tot lover, you have to check these out.

Even though they are not listed on the menu right now, in the past Beaches & Cream has had a variety of salads to balance out the sandwich options, as well as a few seafood dishes. What’s great about Disney dining is that they are always rotating your options to keep things fresh, so be on the lookout for new additions!

You can always swing by the pickup window and take your lunch back to the pool, or enjoy your meal at the limited outdoor seating. However, if you definitely want to sit inside for the whole experience, a reservation is a must. Beaches & Cream is quite popular!

Soda Shop Marvels

Alright Mom, I had my dinner, now can I have dessert?

These incredible sweet treats will have you feeling like a kid again, and cause the actual kids in your group to go bananas!

To begin, you can get a classic strawberry shortcake or brownie a la mode. While both are delicious, these items are definitely elsewhere around Disney World , so we suggest going for one of the unique options that makes Beaches & Cream special. You’ll find these delicious delights on the Sundaes on the Beach section of the menu, and you’re going to be overwhelmed by your choices!

As I mentioned before, we are partial to the No Way José, an out of this world peanut butter and hot fudge masterpiece that features both chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Not enough? How about some chocolate pieces and whipped cream on top? Perfect.

The Fudge Mud Slide and Snickers Sundae are both similar to the No Way José, with three scoops of ice cream each, covered in chocolate, and topped with cookie pieces and Snickers bars respectively. You can also go for classics like a banana split or three-scoop sundae, giving you the chance to build your own delicious dessert

Even with all these other choices, the real star of this show is the infamous Kitchen Sink . Getting its name from the phrase “everything but the kitchen sink,” you won’t believe it until you see it. With eight scoops of ice cream, all the toppings in the store , huge chunks of cake, and an entire can of whipped cream , this sundae is no joke. The menu says that it serves four, but it really feeds more like six or eight. Recently, Beaches & Cream has added a Chocolate Lovers and Neapolitan option as well, which focuses more on these flavors.

Grabbing something to go? You can get a plain scoop of hand-dipped ice cream on cone or in a cup, or slurp up a rich milkshake. These are great if you’re planning to eat or drink as you walk, while meeting the need for a sweet treat.

No matter what dining option you choose at the Disney Yacht Club, you’re going to leave satisfied…and wanting to come back for more!

Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Restaurants Guide (By Resorts Gal)

If you’re planning to stay at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club, you’ll want to be aware of dining options before your visit. It’s no secret that the sister resorts are a Resorts Gal favorite. But we do find fault with them when it comes to one thing—quick service restaurants. The fast-casual options are severely lacking at both hotels and in the entire Epcot Resorts area.

Below, we’ll discuss the restaurants at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club, including hours of operation, menus, and what to expect. Some dining options might not be so obvious, so we’ll share a few tips for where to get a meal that might surprise you. Even with the lack of quick service options, I sincerely believe you can do well for breakfast and most other meals without always needing a dining reservation at a table service restaurant.

Lunch and dinner items are even more limited. At the time of this update, those items include a pulled pork sandwich, a foot-long all-beef hot dog, a meatball sub, and a pepperoni flatbread. A roasted half-chicken dinner is available after 5:00 p.m. A few kids’ meal options are available, including a ham or turkey sandwich. If you want chicken nuggets, you’ll need to pick them up at Hurricane Hanna’s, the poolside quick-service.

Word of warning: if you preview the online menu or the one in the My Disney Experience app, you’ll see a long list of sandwich options. You can even order them via Disney’s mobile order service. I think it’s important to point out that those sandwiches are premade and sold in the grab-and-go section. So you cannot customize them, and they are not freshly prepared. For some, this might not be a big deal. Maybe it’s just me, but when I’m staying in a $ 500.00-per-night or more hotel, I prefer to have something that hasn’t been sitting around getting soggy in a refrigerator case all day.

Here are a few more photos of the grab-and-go options.

If you are a chocolate lover, you’ll want to try the plant-based chocolate brownie with icing. A cast member shared that it was a guest favorite, so I tried it on a previous visit. It was delicious!

Unfortunately, the Marketplace does not have a formal indoor seating area. However, you can enjoy your meal in the nearby Solarium. Additionally, a separate covered outdoor patio with tables and chairs is available across the walkway. For more specifics about this location, we have an entire review of Disney’s Beach Club Marketplace . It includes photos of everything you can expect at this quick service.

The Market at Ale and Compass is almost identical to Beach Club Marketplace. It is down a hall, a few steps from the Yacht Club’s lobby. This location offers mainly grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, and pastries. However, a few made-to-order selections are available.

  • Location:  Yacht Club Lobby

The Market serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Limited seating is available inside.

For breakfast, there are sandwiches, a breakfast bowl (scrambled eggs, a Mickey waffle, potato barrels, bacon, and a biscuit), Mickey waffles, and oatmeal. Lunch and dinner items include premade cold sandwiches, premade salads, a grilled chicken panini, a Cuban sandwich, and a ham and cheese sandwich. Kids’ meals include a ham sandwich, turkey sandwich, mac and cheese, or grilled cheese.

The Market has a relatively extensive list of specialty coffee drinks, making it an excellent stop for a caffeinated beverage. If you’re staying at the Beach Club and prefer an upgraded coffee, you’ll probably want to walk to The Market.

Rapid Fill mugs are available at Beach Club Marketplace and The Market at Ale and Compass. Guests can refill them at any resort’s quick service with a refillable beverage station for the length of their stay. An additional beverage refill station is available at Hurricane Hanna’s. Our guide listed below details the beverage options at each of the resorts if you want to learn more.

Tip : You can refill mugs at any resort quick service. So, if you take the Skyliner to Disney’s Riviera to enjoy a meal at Primo Piatto (recommended), bring your mug so you don’t have to purchase a beverage.

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill is a quick-service dining location at Stormalong Bay . For those unfamiliar, Stormalong Bay is the pool area shared between the resorts. It’s so large that it has its own name.

  • Location:  Stormalong Bay (Feature Pool)
  • Hours:  11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. (sometimes 10:00 p.m.)

This poolside bar and lounge is outside the pool area between Stormalong Bay and Crescent Lake, so you don’t have to be a resort guest to dine here. We enjoy stopping in for a burger and onion rings and enjoying the view while we dine.

Hurricane Hanna’s menu consists of items like burgers, chicken nuggets, and salads. Sometimes, they have frozen grapes, which make for an excellent treat at the pool. They have a separate walk-up bar with a few specialty drinks and Disney’s standard cocktail menu.

Seating at Hurricane Hanna’s is available outside of the pool area. However, if you’re a resort guest enjoying the pool, a server is usually available to take your order during the busier portions of the day.

On a past visit, we rented a cabana at Stormalong Bay and ordered lunch from the poolside quick service. I got the grilled chicken sandwich.

Over the years, we’ve often ordered food from Hurricane Hanna’s to take back to the room. This spot has always been our go-to location for allergy-friendly chicken nuggets when staying at the resort.

Between Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club, you’ll find three lounges. I use the word lounge loosely because they are all excellent locations to enjoy dinner without a dining reservation. We’ve had dinner at all three locations and consider each a bit of a hidden gem. First, we’ll discuss Ale and Compass Lounge, the primary lounge off the Yacht Club’s lobby.

  • Hours:  12:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • Food Service: 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

The lounge menu offers several items from Ale and Compass Restaurant. Those items include hearth-oven flatbreads, Parker House rolls with spreads, roasted Buffalo-style cauliflower, blue crab bisque, roasted garlic shrimp, and the bacon and Vermont cheddar burger.

Crew’s Cup Lounge

Crew’s Cup Lounge is adjacent to Yachtsman Steakhouse. It appears to be a bit of a hole in the wall, but once you spend a few moments inside, you’ll be glad you decided to stop. It’s one of the friendliest places on the property.

  • Location:  Next to Yachtsman Steakhouse (Yacht Club)
  • Hours:  4:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.

Disney's Yacht Club Restaurants Crew's Cup

Crew’s Cup has a menu with a few offerings from Yachtsman Steakhouse. A menu is posted outside the entrance. We eat here fairly often and have ordered prime rib and a New York Strip off Yachtsman’s menu. We always order the onion rolls, a delicious bread service from the neighboring table service. When we have a younger member in our party, they also provide us with a kids’ menu.

As of this update, the prime rib sliders have returned to the menu at Crew’s Cup. They are one of our all-time favorite meals at Walt Disney World. We’ve also enjoyed the lobster bisque, Caesar salad, jumbo shrimp cocktail, and a charcuterie board.

Martha’s Vineyard is a lounge on the Beach Club side of the resort. This lounge offers a tasty New England Clam Chowder, several appetizers, and the option to order Snow Crab Legs by the pound.

  • Location: Next to Cape May Cafe (Beach Club)
  • Hours:  4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

I often stop here on cooler evenings for a bowl of chowder. The chowder is delicious and comes with a side of cornbread. You can also order a few items that are prepared next door at Cape May Cafe.

Ale and Compass is a restaurant we frequent year-round. If you were to look at our receipts from our last stay, you’d see one line item after another that said, “Ale & Compass.” This is also our loophole location for dining at the resorts. Yes, it’s a table-service restaurant, but they offer mobile ordering.

  • Hours:  7:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.*

*Ale and Compass serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is open most of the day but closes around 2:00 p.m. and reopens at 5:00 p.m. for dinner service.

We enjoy having breakfast inside the restaurant from time to time. This location has a popular breakfast buffet that includes an entree for a reasonable price. One of our favorite entrees, the chocolate waffles, is every bit as delicious as it looks. They are topped with mascarpone, cherries, and chocolate shavings.

chocolate waffles with bacon from Ale and Compass

We have also enjoyed many other menu items for lunch and dinner at Ale and Compass. But our favorite thing to do when staying at the hotel is to order takeout and enjoy it at the pool.

Since the feature pool opens at 10:00 a.m., we usually order breakfast at 9:30 a.m. each day of our stay. Our order was typically ready by 9:50 a.m. So I would pick it up and get in line to rope drop the pool. (It’s a very popular pool.) On our last week-long vacation, we enjoyed breakfast at the Stormalong Bay Pool each day of our stay. Honestly, it was our favorite part of the trip!

breakfast at Disney's Yacht Club

A few mornings, I had blueberry pancakes. Oh, and the best part? This item below is a kids’ meal other than the coffee. For a reasonable price, you receive two pancakes and two sides. I chose roasted sweet potatoes and sausage.

I’ve also enjoyed a cheeseburger with fries and broccolini at the pool. This was another mobile order kids’ meal from Ale and Compass.

I cannot stress enough how much we love this location for table-service dining and to-go orders. It is so simple to order your food and pick it up. If you don’t want to dine at the pool, you can find a seat in the neighboring lounge or return to your room. And if you don’t want to pay a table service price, mobile order a kids’ meal. It will be a better quality than what’s available at the quick service. (However, note that kids’ meals are not an option for adults when dining inside the restaurant.)

Most everyone planning a stay at either Disney’s Beach or Yacht Club will want to secure a reservation for Beaches and Cream Soda Shop. This diner-style restaurant is located directly behind Stormalong Bay.

  • Location:  Behind the Stormalong Bay (By the Arcade)

Beaches and Cream serves burgers, fries, grilled cheese, and onion rings. They also have an array of popular sundaes, milkshakes, and banana splits for dessert.

This restaurant takes walk-ups based on availability. To ensure a table, you will want to make reservations. Due to the restaurant’s popularity, reservations are sometimes difficult to obtain.

However, if you’re only going for ice cream or would like a treat to enjoy by the pool, you’re in luck! Beaches and Cream has a walk-up window that only serves ice cream. You can get pretty much everything except the kitchen sink! Well, actually, you can get the kitchen sink. Just make sure you have someone(s) to help you.

Here is the menu description for the Kitchen Sink: Scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip topped with Hot Fudge, Peanut Butter, SNICKERS® pieces, Fresh-baked Brownie, and smothered in every additional topping we have. Also available are Chocolate Lovers or Neapolitan. (Serves Four)

Cape May Cafe is on the Beach Club side of the resort. This restaurant offers two unique dining experiences: a breakfast character meal and a seafood buffet in the evening (no characters).

  • Location:  Off the Beach Club’s Lobby
  • Breakfast Hours:  7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
  • Dinner Hours: 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

The character meal during breakfast is called Minnie’s Beachside Bash. Characters at this meal include Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Breakfast items include salted caramel beach buns, oatmeal, grits, cheddar biscuits and gravy, omelets, carving stations, fruits, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and more.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a signature dining establishment on the Yacht Club side of the resort. It’s so good that it’s included in our list of the best signature dining options at Disney World .

  • Location:  Next to Crew’s Cup (Yacht Club)
  • Hours:  5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Like its name, the steakhouse serves a variety of quality aged in-house meats. The restaurant’s signature steak is the New York Strip. So far, we’ve tried the filet mignon, ribeye, and prime rib. All were delicious, but the ribeye with blue cheese butter was more than memorable.

Restaurants near Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club

Lastly, we’ll discuss a few dining options near the Beach and Yacht Club. As you probably know, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot are within walking distance of the resorts. So you’ll want to plan some meals when you visit those parks.

Disney’s Boardwalk and the Swan and Dolphin Hotels are also within walking distance. This means you’ll find plenty of table-service dining options within the area. However, quick-service locations are lacking in the entire Epcot Resorts Area .

Dining options at Disney’s Boardwalk include Trattoria al Forno and Flying Fish. You might also get a sandwich or treat at the Boardwalk Deli . The Cake Bake Shop might also be worth your consideration.

a scenic view of Crescent Lake and Disney's Boardwalk from the Yacht and Beach Club

Disney’s Swan and Dolphin has multiple signature dining options: Il Mulino, Todd English’s Blue Zoo, and Shula’s Steakhouse. Shula’s is one of the best meals we’ve had! If you’re looking for something more casual, try The Fountain, located on the Dolphin’s first floor. This restaurant is similar to Beaches and Cream and offers diner-style menu items.

And if you prefer to eat outside, the Cabana Bar and Beach Club Grill is by the pool. This location takes walk-ups, and they have several tasty menu options. Additionally, Rosa Mexicano is the resort’s newest restaurant.

Final Thoughts on Dining at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club

When it comes to restaurants, you’ll find plenty of options between Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club. Remember that mobile ordering from Ale and Compass is your friend, and the lounges by far beat the quick-service restaurant options.

As far as staying at the resorts, they are pretty hard to beat. While I often complain about the lack of places to enjoy a casual meal in this area, it’s usually our only issue. So, I don’t necessarily mean to put a damper on things by complaining. But it’s something you’ll want to be aware of going into your stay. Hi, I'm Amber the owner of Resorts Gal . We have stayed at every single Disney Resort Hotel. Our philosophy? We believe you can have an incredible time at the resorts without ever setting foot in a theme park. We visit the resorts and parks regularly and would love for you to follow along!

Great review! We’ve been to many of the restaurants mentioned and it’s funny because it was the Hurricane Hanna’s that surprised us the most. My sister and I ate there on a whim and I remember talking about it even days later because I couldn’t believe how good it was for a pool bar…lol

Thank you! We love Hurricane Hanna’s, it’s the saving grace for counter service at the resort.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is Disney’s Best Kept Dining Secret, And Here’s Why (FULL REVIEW)

One of the best-kept dining secrets at Walt Disney World is Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.

You can also make reservations on the Walt Disney World website or by calling the reservation center at Walt Disney World.

A word of warning though, the latter of the two options is not the most efficient and phone calls to Disney have been taking upwards of two hours just to talk to someone.

If you do see a reservation for the restaurant you should go ahead and book it even if it’s not at your intended dining time, because it’s always easier to modify an existing reservation versus make a new one.

Yachtsman Steakhouse only serves dinner and everything on the menu is a la carte, meaning every item you order is a certain price.

Meals start out with a bread basket filled with savory pull-apart onion rolls and cherry multigrain sourdough rolls.

The bread is served with the restaurant’s signature roasted garlic and salted butter.

Yes, that means you can literally smear pieces of roasted garlic and slather butter all over these delightful breads.

When it comes to starters, I really enjoy the French Onion Soup , which is perfectly rich with plenty of onions, sourdough croutons, and topped with melted gruyère cheese. You definitely have to try the Beef Carpaccio as well.

Entrees and Dessert at the Yachtsman Steakhouse

Entrees obviously mean having a steak , and no matter which one you choose it comes with a sauce or butter, and your choice of side. I always order the 14-ounce roasted prime rib with horseradish cream.

Each entree comes with your choice of accompaniment, with either mashed potatoes, potato-leek gratin, or house-made French fries. I typically choose the gratin or the fries.

When dinner is done, do not leave the restaurant without trying one of the delicious desserts.

The signature dessert at the restaurant is the Yachtsman’s Chocolate Cake, which is made with dark chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, mixed berry curd, peanut butter crunch, and mousse, and serves two.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a lovely option for dining at Walt Disney World, whether you’re traveling alone or going out with friends, or on a date night.

Here are a few tips to ensure your experience at Yachtsman Steakhouse is the best that it can be.

  • Security at the front of the Yacht Club can be very strict about who they let into the parking lot at the hotel.
  • If you don’t have a confirmed dining reservation at the Yachtsman Steakhouse , your better option for dining here will be to take a ride share or take the Disney Skyliner . This is best if you’re staying at one of the resorts that the transportation service goes to and from.
  • I f you’re at EPCOT and want a break from the park and think Yachtsman Steakhouse sounds like a nice place, you’ll want to walk to the back of the park to the International Gateway to get to the Yacht Club and to the restaurant.

Food & Beverage

The following dining locations are located at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort

  • Yachtsman Steakhouse- A MickeyBlog favorite, the airy dining room of this Table Service eatery features knotty-pine beams and nautical touches. Menu highlights include grain-fed beef that is aged in house and prepared on an oak-fired grill, 12 oz Prime New York Strip Steak with peppercorn brand sauce, truffle macaroni and cheese and for dessert the Yachtman’s Chocolate Cake.
  • Ale & Compass Restaurant – Drop anchor for Eastern Seaboard eats that the whole crew will love at this Table Service eatery. This seaworthy spot is a comfortable place to relax and refuel before and after a day of adventure. For breakfast we recommend the dark chocolate waffle or  salted caramel-apple French toast.  Lunch options include Lobster and Corn Chowder, Ale and Compass Salad, and the Bacon and Vermont Cheddar Burger. Finally, for dinner, indulge in sumptuous seafood, like sustainable catch of the day or New England seafood pot pie.

But the main event here is, of course, dessert with showstoppers, like the Snickers Sundae and the No Way José—a delectable creation with ice cream, peanut butter and hot fudge. For the ultimate experience, get a load of the Kitchen Sink: 8 scoops of ice cream smothered in every topping we have.

  • Crew’s Cup Lounge – Race into port for a refreshing beverage at this cozy outpost nestled next to the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Unwind with a pint, a glass of wine or a cool cocktail or from a selection of tasty menu items (hours vary).

Is Splurging For Club Level At Walt Disney World Resorts A Good Value For Food And Beverages?

Chronos club lounge

I am lucky enough to be a local in Central Florida, so we spend a lot of time at Walt Disney World . It's one of the primary reasons we moved to our chosen town. You may wonder why we decide to stay on property when we live such a short distance away. The answer is simple. The immersion into the Disney ambiance, the convenience of close proximity to the parks, and the unique amenities make staying on the property a magical experience distinct from just a day visit. For a recent vacation, we decided to take that magical experience to new heights and stay in a club level room in the Grand Destino Tower at the Coronado Springs Resort.

This beautiful hotel is considered a moderately priced hotel in the Disney pricing terminology, but when you walk in, it seems like a luxurious, deluxe hotel. The decoration and styling of the tower are modeled after Walt Disney's collaboration with Salvador Dali and their work on a short animated piece called "Destino." Even still, there are little touches of Mickey throughout the resort.

When you stay in a room on the club level, you get access to perks that guests throughout the rest of the resort don't have access to, including a lounge. Here, you can enjoy breakfast, appetizers, desserts, beer, and wine, all for free. Plus, you get some incredible views. In fact, one of our favorite Orlando restaurants with a spectacular view is just one floor up.

Which resorts offer club level?

Coronado Springs Resort

Coronado Springs is one of many Disney resorts offering club level. However, it is the only moderately priced resort to have this perk. The rest of the resorts at club level are in the deluxe category, surrounding Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot.

The Animal Kingdom Lodge has a club level in both the main building and the Jambo House. For Magic Kingdom, you will find club level at the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Wilderness Lodge. Epcot club level resorts include the Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Boardwalk.

When it comes to staying on property, most guests get to enjoy the Disney transportation. And honestly, to my family, no Disney trip is complete without taking full advantage of the boats, monorails, Skyliners, and buses to get from place to place. While Coronado Springs offers only buses as transportation, the resorts around Magic Kingdom and Epcot offer several more options, making your journey to the park just as magical as your stay in the park.

Disney Resorts are like a vacation all in themselves, and we've been known to book a room and stay exclusively at the resort rather than visiting a park. The only trouble is they aren't all-inclusive, so if you are used to staying in that environment, a Disney Resort might not seem ideal. However, with club level includes a lot of perks and it feels much more all-inclusive than non-club level rooms.

Enjoy a filling breakfast before hitting the parks

breakfast in the club

Each morning of our stay, after waking up and getting dressed for the day, we would head on up to the lounge for a delectable continental breakfast that included crunchy cereals, freshly baked breakfast pastries, aromatic coffee, and an array of other delightful items. Happy and eager cast members greeted us every single time. The setup also typically had an egg dish and a breakfast meat of some kind. These options rotate throughout the week, so even if you were staying for a more extended trip, you would probably experience a few different types of main offerings. One of my particular favorites was a piece of toast covered in goat cheese and topped with tomato.

Though I am a little persnickety when it comes to coffee, my husband took full advantage of the coffee machine, which offered cappuccinos and other coffee drinks at the touch of a button. For my drink, I typically went down to the coffee shop in the lower lobby of the hotel and bought my favorite Spanish coffee , a cafe Bombón.

Our four-year-old can be a little bit of a picky eater like most kids his age, so we were a little nervous about whether there would be offerings he would like, but he fell in love with the Fruit Loops, which a cast member remembered, and even brought him out a bowl of, even though they weren't on the spread.

Save a load of cash on dinner

dinner in the club

The lounges offer appetizers at lunchtime but more substantial offerings when it comes to dinner. If you happen to find yourself back around the resort at this time, we found the dinner dishes to be pretty good. There was a steak and peppers hot main that we both enjoyed and on one night, the lounge even had corn dog nuggets just like the ones you can pick up from Casey's at one of my favorite quick service restaurants in Magic Kingdom. I went back a few times for these, and although they were missing cheese sauce, the bites were still pretty tasty.

If you tend to be a snacker around dinner time or just want something to tide you over for a later meal at a different location, the offerings here are perfect. We also really liked the charcuterie assortment, and it even had accompaniments like fig jam to enjoy alongside the cheeses and meats. One option typically available at both lunch and dinner was cut vegetables and dips. I fell in love with the lounge's homemade ranch offering. It was so bright and refreshing, and along with those cucumbers, it was the perfect light snack after lunchtime and dinner.

Club level offers lots of free sips

cast member at the club

One of the very best parts about club level is the free drinks. When we first arrived at Coronado Springs and were brought to the club, cast members were eager to prepare a mimosa for me and offered my husband a beer. For our son, they prepared a specialty lemonade that was bright green and they called it Alien Lemonade. He eagerly accepted it, and we enjoyed our drinks as well.

I got a mimosa a few more times while we were at the lounge, and it was always a POG mimosa. POG stands for passion fruit, orange, and guava, and the juice is pretty popular around the Disney resort. You can find it at many breakfast locations, and I was really excited that our lounge was able to mix it with bubbly for a mimosa.

Though drinks were not out on the bar throughout the day, there was a whole wine, beer, and cocktail setup at dinner time. There were options to suit any taste, and if there wasn't something to your liking, cast members would have been more than willing to go look for something in the restaurant on the floor above. We could have also ordered cocktails here, provided that they were a little on the simpler side — think screwdriver, not Moscow mule. The beer selection was pretty good here, too, and we enjoyed a few Lagunitas throughout our stay.

How does the price compare?

mimosa at the club

We had a wonderful stay in Grand Destino Tower, but it is quite a bit more expensive than a regular room. In comparing prices, you can expect to spend between $900 and $1,000 on a room with club access if you do not have any discounts. The types of rooms vary significantly, but that tended to be the price for a room that would sleep four adults, whether it be two queens, a king, and a pull-out, or some other variation. To put that into perspective, the same types of rooms in the same tower that slept the same number of people would be less than half that cost. So, for somewhere around $400 more a night, you could have access to the club level. For a family of four, that breaks down to about $100 for club level access per person, per night.

You may wonder how that compares since you have access to free food, and this is where it varies wildly depending on your family preferences. If you plan on eating exclusively from the club and not from the parks or other restaurants on the property, and you have a family the size of four with two adults and two children, you can expect to save at least $240 per day on food alone. That's assuming that your family would purchase mostly quick-service options. If you were to typically dine at sit-down dinners or even some character meals, the savings would be higher.

Verdict: Is it worth it?

lunch at the club

For us, club level was worth it. We have a son who still takes naps midday, so we typically try to return to the resort for those nap times and could enjoy the free mid-day snacks, and we loved the easy access to breakfast right upstairs. Plus, grabbing a Pellegrino as we head out to the parks in the morning was super handy, especially for my husband, who loves sparkling water.

Cast members on the club level do an incredible job making sure your stay is excellent. In addition to offering great food, they also have the ability to make dining reservations, park reservations, and pretty much anything else you could need them to do. They are truly there to make sure that your stay is absolutely unforgettable. If you like that white-glove treatment, the club level is going to be totally worthwhile. If you plan on taking advantage of the free alcoholic drinks, club level will be even more beneficial.

On the other hand, if your family enjoys meals out and is looking forward to a few character dining experiences during your trip, financially, staying at the club level probably isn't going to be the best choice when it comes down to it. For this, though, you just have to weigh what is most important to you. I'll say one thing: I can't wait to return to Coronado Springs and wake up to the Disney magic right outside of my window.

Disney superfans share their favorite things to do at the theme parks

  • Business Insider has asked US Disney fans about the best things to do, see, and eat at the parks.
  • Frequent visitors love classic attractions like the Carousel of Progress and Tower of Terror.
  • They also shared food recommendations, from Casey's Corner and Satu'il Canteen to Wine Bar George.

Insider Today

As part of our Disney Diaries series, Business Insider has been gathering must-do itineraries for Disney World and Disneyland from people who love the theme parks.

Here are some of their favorite things to do, see, and eat.

Kayleigh Price has worked at Disney World and still visits the parks often

Casey's corner is the best quick-service restaurant at magic kingdom.

Even before working there , Price said she loved ordering from Casey's Corner and eating the all-American comfort food in front of Cinderella Castle

The menu mostly consists of hot dogs and fries, but it's known for its corn-dog nuggets.

Walt Disney Presents is a must for longtime Disney fans

Walt Disney Presents is a museum-like exhibit in Hollywood Studios with exhibits about Walt Disney.

There's also a theater at the end of the attraction that is typically playing the "One Man's Dream" documentary about Disney's life and work. At certain points throughout the year, though, the theater instead shows special trailers or seasonal videos.

The wait at Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway can be long, but it's worth it

Another spot Price worked at and loves is Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. It's a must for her every time she visits Hollywood Studios.

She loves all the little details during the preshow and ride, as well as the catchy song played throughout.

Read Kayleigh Price's full Disney Diary: I worked at Disney World for 2 years. Here are 16 things I always do when I visit the parks .

Travel planner Kari Becker has been to Disney World over 40 times — with and without kids

Grand floridian café is a great breakfast spot before a day at magic kingdom.

If you're looking for a fun breakfast before heading to Magic Kingdom, travel planner Becker finds the Grand Floridian Café delightful.

Every meal in the beautifully decorated dining room comes with warm biscuits and butter, and Becker recommends ordering the eggs Benedict and hash-brown casserole.

Pro tip: Ask for a table by the window so you can take in the grounds of the resort.

The 'Finding Nemo' show is stacked with talented performers

Before it closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, "Finding Nemo – The Musical" was a must-see for Becker on every trip to Animal Kingdom.

Now, the park offers a reimaging of the show called "Finding Nemo: Big Blue ... And Beyond."

The travel planner especially recommends the show for parents with kids — her own boys are drawn in by the beautiful storytelling.

Becker has to ride the monorail at least once every Disney trip

No matter where you're staying, on or off property, Becker said it's always worth taking a spin on the monorail.

The nostalgic Disney transportation is fun for adults and kids alike. It's also convenient if you're looking to visit one of the Magic Kingdom resorts for shopping or dining.

Read Kari Becker's full Disney Diary: I'm a travel planner who's been to Disney World over 40 times. Here are 13 things I always do at the parks .

Carly Caramanna has been going to the parks for over 30 years

Wine bar george at disney springs is her favorite restaurant across the property.

After visiting the Disney parks for over 30 years, Caramanna's first pick for dinner reservations is Wine Bar George in Disney Springs.

It's owned and led by a master sommelier and has menu items like savory chimichurri skirt steak and creamy burrata along with over 140 wines.

Living With the Land doesn't always get the hype it deserves

Soarin' Around the World gets a lot of hype at Epcot, but Living With the Land right next door is one of Caramanna's favorite rides.

The slow-moving attraction explores the history of farming, rides past actual Disney greenhouses, and rarely has a long wait.

It's extra fun to visit Epcot during a festival

Epcot has been hosting festivals  since the 1990s, and there are currently four throughout the year: International Food and Wine Festival, International Festival of the Holidays, International Festival of the Arts, and International Flower and Garden Festival.

Guests can sample new dishes and beverages inspired by international cuisines and enjoy unique entertainment offerings all around the World Showcase.

Read Carly Caramanna's full Disney Diary: I go to Disney World every month. Here are 16 things I always do, see, and eat at the parks .

After working at 26 locations across Disney World, Saira Umar has found her favorite things to do

Disney springs has lots to explore, and it's free to enter.

Umar could easily spend a day exploring Disney Springs — the property's free dining, shopping, and entertainment district.

The former Disney World employee recommends grabbing treats from the Ganachery, Gideon's Bakehouse, or Amorette's Patisserie while you're there.

It's almost always worth it to take a midday break from the parks

Umar has found that getting to the parks early is key for cruising through the lines of some of the most popular attractions.

It also gives you time to take a much-needed break in the afternoon by seeing an indoor, air-conditioned show like "Mickey's PhilharMagic" in Magic Kingdom, the Short Film Festival in Epcot, "Finding Nemo" in Animal Kingdom, or "Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy" in Hollywood Studios.

Epcot is known for drinking 'around the world,' but Animal Kingdom has some great drinks, too

Umar is a fan of the alcoholic and kid-friendly drinks at Animal Kingdom.

She recommends the Frozen Flamingo (strawberry-and-passion-fruit slush) at Harambe Market, Pink Lotus (strawberry-lychee lemonade) at Thirsty River Bar, Night Lotus (apple, pear, and lime slush with passion-fruit boba) at Pongu Pongu, and frozen Coke from various locations.

Read Saira Umar's full Disney Diary: I worked at 26 locations in Disney World. Here are 17 things I do, see, and eat every time I visit .

Noelani Soto grew up in Miami and developed the perfect schedule for a 1-day trip

Dole whip is always a must.

Dole Whip is a classic Disney snack that's perfect for a warm afternoon at the parks. Soto, who grew up taking short trips to Disney World from Miami, recommends the vanilla-and-pineapple swirl.

Pro tip: Place a mobile order and pick it up in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom to skip the line.

Even if you're not staying there, it's fun to explore the Grand Floridian Resort

Resort-hopping is a fun way to spend an afternoon, especially when you get to check out some of the fancier spots, like the Grand Floridian.

The Disney resorts also sometimes offer free activities, food, or beverages  around the grounds.

Soto has been able to enjoy Champagne and s'mores on different visits to the Grand Floridian.

After a day at the parks, you can grab a late-night cupcake at Disney Springs

An ATM at Sprinkles in Disney Springs offers cupcakes and cookies 24/7.

It's great for late-night cravings after a day at the parks.

Read Noelani Soto's full Disney Diary: I've perfected visiting Disney World for just 24 hours. Here are 12 things I try to do every time I visit .

Annual passholder Megan duBois has been visiting Disney World for over 25 years

Selfies are a great way to save memories from each trip.

Annual passholder DuBois has started taking selfies with her group right when she gets to Disney World in front of the park icons, like Cinderella Castle , the Tree of Life, the Chinese Theater, and the Spaceship Earth ball.

If you visit the parks often, it's a great way to create a memory for each trip.

Always head to Tower of Terror when there's a 13-minute wait

Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios has a little-known trick. Whenever the ride has a 13-minute wait on the My Disney Experience app or the boards around the park, it usually means there's actually no line at all.

This same 13-minute rule also applies at Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom.

End a day at Animal Kingdom with a ride on Flight of Passage

The line for Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom is usually over an hour long, so DuBois recommends going right before the park closes.

The wait time might still be listed at 60 minutes, but the actual wait is typically 30 minutes or less.

Read Megan duBois' full Disney Diary: I've had a Disney World annual pass for nearly 25 years. Here are 13 things I do every time I visit .

Tarah Chieffi has 30 years of experience exploring the Disney parks

Instead of waiting in line for meet and greets, book character meals.

If you want to avoid character meet-and-greet lines, longtime Disney-goer Chieffi recommends booking a character breakfast instead.

They usually include four or five characters circulating the room, stopping at each table for photos and autographs.

It's best to make a reservation 60 days before your trip, as these spots are popular.

You can get a better view of the Magic Kingdom parades in Frontierland

All of the parades at Magic Kingdom start in the back corner of Frontierland, and it's a great spot to watch them with slightly smaller crowds.

Since it's the start of the route, you also usually get a lot of extra waves from the characters on the parade floats. Plus, you can move on to your next activity while everyone else is still watching the show.

Satu'il Canteen at Animal Kingdom is one of the best restaurants across the property

Chieffi doesn't typically make a lot of sit-down reservations at Disney World. Instead, her family loves quick-service spots like Satu'li Canteen in Animal Kingdom's Pandora section.

The food is customizable and suitable for a range of diets.

She recommends the cheeseburger pods (which she says taste just like a McDonald's cheeseburger) and the green Hawkes' Grog ale.

Read Tarah Chieffi's full Disney Diary: I've been going to Disney World for over 30 years. Here are 14 things I always do there .

Stephanie Machado lives 15 minutes from Disney World and visits weekly

You can grab a starbucks coffee at each of the theme parks.

Machado goes to Disney World multiple times a week, and as a coffee lover, she highly recommends grabbing a cup at Main Street Bakery (Starbucks) in Magic Kingdom.

Each park has a unique Starbucks location with a themed name.

Get in line for any rides you missed right before the park closes

When you visit the parks often, riding every single ride isn't usually a priority. But Machado has a trick for landing in the shortest lines for must-do attractions .

She waits until the end of the night, especially if there's a nighttime show distracting much of the crowd.

There are several fun resorts to explore near Epcot

If you need a break, Machado recommends leaving Epcot through the International Gateway exit and grabbing a snack at the BoardWalk Inn or the Beach Club.

Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club serves humongous sundaes.

Read Stephanie Machado's full Disney Diary: My husband and I live 15 minutes from Disney World. Here are 7 things we do every time we visit .

As a Disneyland employee, Amber Wainwright has tips for the California parks

Take fun photos with fewer crowds around pixar pier.

Castle pictures are iconic, but the area in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland is often very crowded.

Luckily, Disneyland employee Wainwright says there are several other beautiful photo spots across the parks that are covered in artwork, like the wall on Pixar Pier.

Galaxy's Edge is a must for 'Star Wars' fans

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is home to the fictional planet of Batuu, and it's a great place for unique shopping, dining, and character experiences.

Wainwright highlighted eating Ronto Wraps at Ronto's Roasters, building a lightsaber at Savi's Workshop, and hunting rebel scum with Kylo Ren.

Catch a unique view of the fireworks from the Incredicoaster

One of the most unique ways to watch the nighttime fireworks is from the Incredicoaster in Disney's California Adventure.

You get a bird's-eye view of the show while also riding one of the park's best coasters.

Read Amber Wainwright's full Disney Diary: I'm a VIP tour guide at Disneyland. Here are 12 of my favorite things to do in the parks .

Jackie Perrin visits Disney World with her kids and has stayed at every resort

Toy story mania is the best ride for families with kids.

Perrin and her family make sure to ride Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios at least twice every trip. Her family members get competitive about who gets the highest score on the interactive ride.

If you're at Magic Kingdom, she recommends Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin as a similar ride.

Main Street is full of hidden entertainment gems

There are so many little entertainment opportunities up and down Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom, particularly right after the park opens.

The Dapper Dans barbershop quartet gives a welcoming serenade, and the Citizens of Main Street and Women's Suffragists interact with guests.

It's nice to spend some time at the resort pool at the hottest part of the day

People usually visit Disney for the theme parks, but Perrin said the resort pools shouldn't be missed.

Her kids love playing there, and there's sometimes even poolside entertainment like dance parties, games, trivia contests, and evening movies.

Some of her favorite Disney pools are at Caribbean Beach Resort, Wilderness Lodge, and the Beach Club Resort.

Read Jackie Perrin's full Disney Diary: I've visited almost every Disney World resort with my kids. Here are 15 things we always do at the parks .

Richard Keller regularly takes his 5 kids to Disneyland on a budget

Bring your own water bottles to the park so you can stay hydrated throughout the day.

One of the best tips Keller has for visiting Disneyland after making several trips with his family of seven is to pack your own water bottles.

The heat can leave you dehydrated, and buying drinks at the parks can be pricey, especially for big families.

Pro tip: Fill them up with ice ahead of time so the water stays cool throughout the day.

Churros are one of the best snack options at the parks, and they're big enough to share

Churros are one of the most classic snacks at Disneyland, and they cost less than $10.

Plus, Keller said his family is usually full after sharing one or two.

He highlighted the cart near Haunted Mansion, which tends to have a shorter line and offers numerous shady places to sit nearby.

You can usually find merchandise on sale in the shops

Shopping for souvenirs with lots of kids can be stressful, but Keller has it down to a science.

They stop at the shops on Main Street on their way out of the park and check the sales racks, which sometimes offer things for up to 50% off.

Read Richard Keller's full Disney Diary: My family of 7 has gone to Disneyland for years on a tight budget. Here are 14 things we do to save money .

Sofía Olivar worked at Epcot and has recommendations across Disney World

Big disney fans will get a kick out of the carousel of progress.

Disney World employee Olivar always rides the Carousel of Progress when she visits Magic Kingdom.

The classic attraction was built for the 1964/1965 World's Fair, and it has a catchy theme song and detailed sets.

The wait is also always less than 15 minutes, and the indoor show offers 20 minutes of respite from the sun.

The 'Hub grass' is a great spot to enjoy lunch

The lawns in front of Cinderella Castle (referred to as the "Hub grass") are the perfect spots to enjoy breakfast or lunch.

Olivar recommends a coffee from Main Street Bakery ( Starbucks ) and the loaded tots from Friar's Nook in Fantasyland — her favorite quick-service location in the park.

The margaritas in the Mexico Pavilion are a must

Olivar said La Cava del Tequila, located inside the pyramid in the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot, has the best margaritas in Disney World.

But if you're looking for a frozen treat, you can also stop at Choza de Margarita outside.

Read Sofía Olivar's full Disney Diary: I've worked at Disney World for 3 years. Here are 14 things I always do at the parks .

After years of annual family vacations to Disney World, Jill Robbins has her favorites down-pat

Robbins makes sure to get at least one mickey-shaped ice-cream bar a trip.

There are plenty of Disney park snacks to choose from, but for Robbins, nothing beats a classic Mickey-shaped ice-cream bar.

She makes it a priority to grab one on every visit.

Pin-trading is a great (and budget-friendly) activity in the park

Robbins' kids like bringing their Disney pins to the parks so they can trade with employees — or even sometimes other guests.

Look out for employees with lanyards or corkboards around the parks if you're looking to swap.

Planning a rest day is a lifesaver on a busy Disney vacation

Marching around the parks in the hot Florida sun all day can be tiring, so Robbins makes sure to plan for one rest day each visit so her family can relax at the hotel pool or get some time out of the sun.

Read Jill Robbins' full Disney Diary: I've taken my 12-year-olds to Disney World every year since they were 5. Here are 12 things we always do .

Tiffany A. Telles has 3 decades of Disneyland experience under her belt

Snapping photos with characters is always a highlight.

Telles, who has been visiting Disneyland for over 30 years, said that she always tries to grab a photo with her favorite characters — especially when a special opportunity strikes.

For example, California Adventure transforms its Paradise Gardens area into the "Coco"-themed Plaza de la Familia in the fall. Miguel from the movie is often in the parks for meet and greets.

There are always new cocktails to sample

Each trip, Telles tries to sip on one new-to-her cocktail at Disneyland.

Some of her favorite places to grab a drink are Lamplight Lounge, Tangaroa Terrace, and Craftsman Grill.

When hunger strikes, a baked potato is the perfect snacky meal

Telles doesn't always want to waste precious park time on sit-down meals, so the baked potatoes at Troubadour Tavern near Fantasyland have become a go-to.

They're easy to take on the go, have plenty of toppings, and cost less than $10 each.

Read Tiffany A. Telles' full Disney Diary: I've been going to Disneyland for 33 years. Here are 13 things I always do in the parks .

Disney World isn't just for kids — Terri Peters visits the theme parks on her own at least once a month

Taking full advantage of resort stays is easier when you're traveling solo.

One of Peters' favorite things to do on a solo trip to Disney World is spend an afternoon relaxing on her hotel patio. She highlighted Yacht Club and Animal Kingdom Lodge as resorts with the most tranquil vibes.

A glass of wine, a snack, and a pretty view are the perfect medicine for park fatigue.

Not having to share cheeseburger egg rolls is a dream come true

Peters, like many Disney fans, loves all the iconic food options around the parks. But Disney World vacations can be pricey when you're traveling with a group, so she said her family often shares more basic offerings — pretzels and popcorn.

When she's by herself, cheeseburger eggrolls at Magic Kingdom are always on the top of her snack list. No one else can steal a bite, either.

It's fun to snag a last-minute dinner reservation

Some of the best food at Disney World is found in restaurants like Le Cellier and California Grill. But those are also often the most difficult reservations to snag.

Luckily for solo travelers, there are often walk-up reservation lists that open up at the last minute and bars/lounges where smaller parties can usually be seated pretty quickly.

Read Terri Peters' full Disney Diary: I'm in my 40s and go to Disney World by myself at least once a month. Here are 13 things I always do there .

Carly Neil has plenty of Disneyland tips after over 300 trips to the parks

It's actually possible to 'work from home' at the parks.

If she can't swing a full day off work, frequent Disneyland visitor Neil just brings her iPad with her.

Some of her favorite places to get a couple hours of writing in are a quiet corner on Main Street, the Grand Californian Resort lobby, Jolly Holiday, and Hearthstone Lounge.

Picking one souvenir to collect can make shopping at the parks more special

As a California local, Neil has mastered the art of not going overboard in the Disneyland gift shops. But over the years, she's loved collecting mugs that catch her eye.

Being able to curate her souvenirs makes it even more fun when a new item pops up in stores.

Disneyland has food festivals that are just as good as Epcot's

Although Epcot is perhaps better known for its annual food festivals, Disneyland has some great offerings throughout the year.

Neil loves exploring the Lunar New Year Celebration, the Food and Wine Festival, and the Festival of the Holidays each year.

Read Carly Neil's full Disney Diary: I've been to Disneyland over 300 times. Here are 12 things I always do in the parks .

After working her dream job at Disneyland, Dana Bisbee moved 6 minutes away from the parks

Getting some peaceful steps in around grizzly peak is a great way to start the day.

Before the hustle and bustle of a park day starts, former Disneyland employee Bisbee likes to take a breath in a quieter section of California Adventure Park.

Grizzly Peak is usually pretty empty, so it's a great place to walk around, gather your thoughts, and plan your day.

Disneybounding is a fun way for adults to highlight their favorite characters

Adults can only wear real costumes at the Disney parks at the annual Halloween parties, but Disneybounding (wearing outfits inspired by different characters) is allowed all year long.

Bisbee always jumps at the chance to really immerse herself in the Disney bubble by wearing clothes that resemble her favorite characters' senses of style.

Not everyone knows about the fun drawing lesson available in the park

Disneyland's Animation Academy offers free lessons every day where guests get step-by-step instructions on how to draw a rotating cast of beloved characters.

Bisbee said it's one of the most underrated things to do at the theme park, plus you get to keep your sketch as a souvenir. Since the space is indoors and air-conditioned, it's also a great way to spend a hot afternoon.

Read Dana Bisbee's full Disney Diary: I used to work at Disneyland. Here are 11 things I always do when I visit the parks .
