Denison invites you to an Open House aboard SEAHAWK , a 112 Westport Superyacht located at the Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard in Newport, Rhode Island.

SEAHAWK was built to the highest standards; her captain’s keen eye for detail with a long reign for maintenance keeps her in a manner fitting a superyacht. She boasts a timeless, rich raised mahogany interior throughout; a feature Westport usually saves for their 40M+ yachts.

SEAHAWK runs at a fast 22 knot cruise with a top speed of 25 knots. A draft of only 5’6”, she gets into ports where vessels of this size frequently cannot access. Her stabilized ride takes you in luxury and comfort.

Room for eight guests in her four ensuite staterooms, the full beam master is massive with a California king bed as the centerpiece. Two more staterooms amidship for guests with a private VIP stateroom all the way forward. Four separate deck areas to enjoy under cover or out in the sun. From her aft deck to foredeck, with the flybridge and boat decks, there’s plenty of places to enjoy the water views.

5 Superyachts to See at the Newport Charter Show 2015

The  Newport Charter Show 2015  is currently in full swing, with a plethora of superyachts gathering at Rhode Island's waterfront for inspections and a busy calendar of social events. YachtCharterFleet have carefully selected the must-see charter yachts to see with your broker over the next two days of the event.

A prime opportunity for professionals to become acquainted with superyachts available across the globe, prospective charterers can also enjoy viewings; just contact your preferred charter broker who can register you at the event. 

Following registration, superyachts are available for viewings from 11.00am to 5.15pm today, and from 10am to 5pm tomorrow at the Newport Yachting centre. An array of yachting goods and services are also showcased at the events, with a selection of award ceremonies, competitions and seminars also taking place throughout the day.

A Westport delivery in 2007, be sure to check out the newly refitted 40m/130ft superyacht 'Plan A' at the show. A popular charter yacht, she offers a great range of amenities for a vessel of her size, with highlights including Zero Speed Stabilizers, a gym and large swim platform, from which guests can enjoy an array of water toys. Her spacious outdoor areas feature an al fresco dining area and Jacuzzi, ideal for entertaining when cruising in the east coast of the USA and the Bahamas . Elegantly styled with cherry wood, motor yacht Plan A sleeps 10 guests in five staterooms, including a master suite, three double cabins and a twin cabin.

33m/108ft sailing yacht MARAE  has built both a noteworthy charter reputation and regatta record, since her deliver in 2004. Winner of the 'Best Sail Yacht' (sized 23-26m) at the 2005 International Superyacht Society Awards, she offers huge amounts of luxury across her 33 metres. Guests looking to charter in New England have access to a gym and extensive range of water toys throughout their vacation, and in the evenings can relax at her upper salon's wet bar, boasting unforgettably panoramic views. Styled by Ted Fontaine with walnut panelling throughout, sloop MARAE comfortably sleeps up to 7 guests in 3 cabins. 

3. Far Niente

By far one of the most well designed vessels at this year's Newport Charter Show, Westport's design team have carefully crafted elegant, open-plan spaces on board 40m/130ft motor yacht 'Far Niente .' Make time to see her modern saloon, featuring a striking fireplace and suede and leather furnishings, she offers a 'homely' feel on board ideal for family charter vacations in the Caribbean and New England. Able to accommodate 10 guests in five staterooms, bikes and water toys including paddleboards, kayaks, water-skis and an inflatable pontoon provide countless hours of fun when chartering superyacht Far Niente.

4. WHISPE R

Refit regularly to offer the most up-to-date fittings and amenities for charter guests, 35m/116ft sailing yacht WHISPER  is a fine vessel from Dutch yard Holland Jachtbouw, and definitely worth a visit. Available in New England and the Virgin Islands , charterers often favour WHISPER for her traditional wood-panelled interior, styled by Andrew Winch to transport one back to the golden age of sail. Highlights on board sloop WHISPER include her master suite, featuring its own office and private aft companionway, and her pilothouse, offering stunning 360-degree views across the ocean.

A quality build from CRN delivered in 2007, the sleek 40m/130ft motor yacht SIMA  has the international accolades of the “European Yacht Trophy” and the “Show Boats Award” to her name. Able to reach a top speed of 24 knots in the Mediterranean, and boasts a sophisticated interior, designed with monochromatic and neutral themes by Zucoon. Featuring suede, and black cherry wood and madrone burl, her spacious interior accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms. Motor yacht SIMA's smart al fresco dining area is great for hosting, with a Jacuzzi, jet-ski, water-ski and banana ensuring guests of all ages have a fun charter vacation.

St Barth's Bucket 2024

Every year the world’s most spectacular superyachts gather in Gustavia’s harbor for the prestigious St. Barths Bucket.

This three-day invitational regatta features top-notch racing and exclusive shore side social events, all in a breathtaking Caribbean setting.

Over the years, many of the world’s most notable and accomplished sailors have participated in the racing. Nonetheless, as the Bucket Regatta has evolved, the organizers have kept a tight focus on maintaining the original camaraderie and non-commercial spirit of the event. It was, and still is, an event conceived and hosted purely for the pleasure and enjoyment of the sailing superyacht owner.

There is no other regatta of magnitude on the superyacht racing circuit with the same goals, and the event organizers consider themselves the stewards of a most worthwhile tradition.

2024 highlights include:

Unparalleled ORCsy class racing in the popular pursuit racing format will provide yacht owners with exciting, close competition against yachts with similar sailing characteristics.

The Corinthian Spirit Class racing, which featured 12 entries last year, will return to its roots and once again be a non-spinnaker competition.

Based on strong early interest, the 90-foot class is expected to make a return to St Barths. The Bucket Stewards will accept the first six entries (criteria to be posted with the NOR).

A 100-foot Racing Class will be offered for the first time. This will be for performance-oriented sloops over 100’ LOA and that do not fit the SYRA’s ‘ cruising superyacht’ criteria . Please contact the organizer for further details.

Dock space in Gustavia will be on a first come basis. In response to feedback from our entrants, there will not be a ‘Yacht Hop’ in 2024. However, there will be a fun-themed dockside party at the Capitainerie on Saturday evening.

The official Bucket social schedule will again be unrivaled, providing yacht owners and their guests with a unique, fun filled experience on the water and shoreside as well.

Building on 2023 and in the spirit of being inclusive, social (non-racing) entrants will again be welcome to the Bucket. Sailing or motor yachts wishing to participate in the Bucket as non-racing social entries are encouraged to request an invitation to the 2024 edition. A limited number of non-racing entry applications will be accepted. Details are posted (pdf) .

The first Bucket Regatta was organized in Nantucket, Massachusetts in August of 1986. At a birthday celebration organized by Nelson Doubleday, several yacht owners participated in a spirited discussion about optimal yacht design and individual sailing prowess. The following day, with only a night of preparation, seven sailing superyachts raced on a hastily prepared 15-mile course on Nantucket Sound. The stated prize of this impromptu competition was simply to attain undisputed superyacht sailing bragging rights for the year. They soon learned, however, that the pleasure and enjoyment of a camaraderie formed at sea between like-minded individuals was the greatest prize of all. As a result, a nearby spare bucket was deemed sufficient to commemorate the racing accomplishment and the Bucket Regatta was born.

For over 35 years since 1986, the world’s premier superyacht sailing vessels, owners, crew, and guests have reunited with the same intention.

Between 1986 and 2001, the Nantucket Bucket flourished. The summer event then shifted to Newport, Rhode Island where the event was well hosted at the Newport Shipyard from 2002 to 2014.

In 1995, the beautiful French island of St Barths hosted its first Bucket Regatta and it has done so in March every year since then. Although the size of the yachts and competing fleet has grown significantly, the spirit of the event has remained unchanged. In recent years, 40 or more superyachts have gathered to compete for the Bucket in glamorous St Barths.

Once you confirm your reservation, your broker will process your payment.

• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is confirmed more than 7 days in advance, a deposit of either $1,000 USD or 50% of the total cost of the reservation (whichever is greater) is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 7 days away, the remainder of the amount due is processed.
• If you are booking for a single day and your reservation is made 7 days or less in advance, the total price of your reservation is processed immediately.
• If you are booking for a multi-day charter and your reservation is confirmed more than 30 days in advance, a deposit of 50% of the cost of the yacht is processed immediately in order to hold the yacht. Once your embarkation date is 30 days away, the other 50% is collected for the price of the yacht, plus the APA, plus the taxes due.
