Yacht Club Hosts Annual Fleet Review

Members and guests gathered at Pelican Isle Yacht Club in North Naples, Fla. for a fleet review and blessing of the fleet ceremony. This year’s review comprised of 11 PIYC member vessels as well as the North Naples Fire Department’s boat.

More than one hundred Pelican Isle Yacht Club members, family, and friends gathered for the North Naples, Fla. club’s annual fleet review and blessing of the fleet ceremony recently. This is a special PITC tradition, during which a club’s fleet is reviewed by the commodore, flag officers and visiting dignitaries from other local yacht clubs.

PIYC’s Commodore Bob Flaherty and his wife, Annette, and Rear Commodore Kevin McCabe reviewed the fleet from the club’s portside patio overlooking Wiggins Pass, accompanied by Commodore Carol Joseph and her husband, Tom, from Naples Sailing and Yacht Club, Commodore Paul Soden and his wife, Irene, from Marco Island Yacht Club, Commodore Gary Ralph from St. Charles Yacht Club, and Vice Commodore Brian Barcic and his wife, Paula, from Isles Yacht Club.

Pelican Isle Yacht Club is situated in an exclusive Southwest Florida location just five minutes from the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico at Wiggins Pass.

This is a bayside community's Clubhouse, which generously makes itself available to attend as a membership, or reciprocal of other upscale Naples' communities. The dining room has a subtle nautical decor befitting its dock views at Wiggins Pass. Reliable luncheon fare is here, with soups, salads, and sandwiches. There is adequate number of staff to keep everything moving along. Attractive, casual meal.
