The Italian shipyard is planning to build a new 164-foot flagship, following a significant, decade-long construction hiatus.

The new F50 was penned in partnership with Italian designer Horacio Bozzo and features engineering by Axis Group Yacht Design. With an interior volume of 499 GT, the semi-custom superyacht can accommodate up to 12 guests across six staterooms. The generous owner’s suite is positioned on the main deck, the VIP sits on the upper deck, and the remaining staterooms are located on the lower deck with the crew quarters.

The main salon and dining area lead to a beach club of over 1,000 square feet, creating a seamless connection between the interior and exterior decks. Above, the sundeck showcases a plush lounge, a Jacuzzi, a bar, an alfresco dining area, and, of course, panoramic views. The foredeck is home to a garage with enough space for a 23-foot tender, Jet Skis, and a rescue boat.

“The F50 boasts an ingenious utilization of space, fostering an ambiance of relaxed elegance for its fortunate guests,” the Falcon team said in a statement. “Bozzo’s vision emphasizes an innovative use of space, inviting guests to revel in an informal yet luxurious onboard lifestyle.”

Falcon says the F50 could be delivered as soon as 2027—if the yacht finds a buyer, that is. The yard confirmed it is working on a 148-footer at the Pisa shipyard, with delivery expected in 2025. It also plans to announce additional models, with the F38 next on the cards. Stay tuned.

The Italian Design Firm Quartostile – selected by the shipyard to develop the exterior and interior lines of this new 40 meter yachtas part of Falcon’s Legacy Line – has also been tasked with developing the lines of a 45 meter vessel. The Legacy Line has been created to celebrate the tradition and international reputation of Falcon Yachts established by the founder, Edoardo Spreafico in the 80’s.

“It is with the utmost respect for our client, an Italian entrepreneur with a vast experience at sea, that Falcon Yachts engages in the construction of it’s latest 40 meter yacht. By reviving and thoroughly re-imagining a  “Spreafico original”, the shipyard intends to pay a tribute to the legacy of Edoardo Spreafico’s expertise, style  and ethos, to further develop on his understanding of what a yacht should be all about: comfort and functionality embedded in captivating elegance and incredibly sound engineering”, states Falcon Yachts Management, adding: “We will release our latest designs in early 2021 and look forward to engaging with Falcon clients – both new and existing – as we continue to develop and modernise this prestigious yachting brand. Falcon’s heritage is such that, to this date, it continues to be featured as one of the largest yacht builders in Italy”.

Falcon Yachts Legacy Line is just the starting point of a new journey towards the development of future projects, such as the launch of a full displacement Naveta’s range.

Falcon Yachts announces 50m flagship following brand relaunch

Italian shipyard Falcon Yachts has revealed its flagship project, the F50. Delivery would be scheduled for 2027 once ordered.

Falcon Yachts' last delivery was the 27.6-metre Sea Falcon (now Alpinn ) in 2011, after which the Italian shipyard stopped production. A relaunch was announced earlier this year which involved a new base of operations in Pisa and an all-new lineup of steel and aluminium displacement yachts ranging from 33 to 50 metres.

The 49.7-metre superyacht will be semi-custom and designed in collaboration with Horacio Bozzo , while Axis Group Yacht Design is responsible for the engineering. 

Accommodation will be across six cabins, including a full-beam, panoramic owner's suite and a VIP cabin that can be converted into a playroom, office, or mini gym. There are further quarters for ten crew.

A highlight of the upcoming flagship is its 100-square-metre beach club which will be connected to an interior dining space. Meanwhile, the sundeck will feature a bar, a sheltered dining table, lounge areas and a Jacuzzi pool. The foredeck garage will house a seven-metre tender, jet skis and a rescue tender.

Falcon Yachts has also confirmed that its 45-metre project is due for delivery in 2025.

Falcon builds luxury motor yachts at a state of the art shipyard in Pisa Navicelli, Italy. This brand has gone through many changes over the years. Now, they’re recognized as one of the top superyacht builders in the country. They’re known for creating vessels that feature modern lines, beautiful interiors and sustainable materials.

Yacht Selection

Falcon is best known for their line of full displacement yachts. Of these, the Falcon 38 MT model is the most prolific. This yacht spans an impressive 38 meters or 123 feet long. It can hold up to 12 people plus seven crew members thanks to its spacious cabins and oversized deck spaces.

This vessel features a hull made of high strength steel and an aluminum alloy superstructure. She was brought to life by some of the most esteemed Italian design firms including Horacio Bozzo Design and Massari Design.

All of their boats are designed to surprise and delight. Some of their other popular models include the Falcon 86, Falcon 102 and Falcon 115.

Brand History

In 1968, Edoardo Spreafico launched a luxury vessel trading company called Cielo Terra Mare. Twenty years later, he established Cantieri Navali Falcon Shipyard in the Italian city of Viareggio. The brand became known for constructing high quality yachts and they soon gained international recognition.

Their engineers focused on creating original designs that showcased clean cut lines and upscale interiors. For decades, their models ranged from 15 to 30 meters. At first, the vessels were made entirely of wood but they eventually changed over to fiberglass. The brand opened a second shipyard in 1992 and immediately started making larger-scale designs.

An international group from the Middle East purchased the brand in 2020. Since then, they’ve renovated and expanded the shipyard into the state of the art facility that it is today. Now, they mainly focus on building steel and aluminum superyachts in the 40 to 50 meter range.

Unique Selling Points

A unique feature of Falcon Yachts is that each vessel is handcrafted by the team’s skilled artisans. They can customize every detail to make sure owners and future guests are satisfied.

I like that they incorporate eco friendly materials, waste reduction techniques and energy efficient systems into their designs. This way, they can make yachts that are both environmentally responsible and luxurious.

All of their builders have experience constructing yachts and superyachts that reach 50 meters and beyond. They’re always innovating and looking ahead but haven’t lost their sense of heritage or their desire to create timeless, beautiful vessels.

History of Falcon Yachts

The Falcon Yachts Shipyard, located in Pisa Navicelli, has a rich history dating back to the late 1950s. Originally a vessel trading company, the firm transitioned into yacht building and established its own FALCON trademark. In 1988, the two original partners founded Cantieri Navali Falcon Srl.
