Our trip was a great success. We are sailors and Scott is the most knowledgeable sailor we have met. Moreover the navigation and radar equipment is top grade enabling motoring in a morning of deep fog with ease. We sailed for 4 nights (5 days) and winds enabled us to sail without motor assistance for many hours a day. The islands are lovely and a big surprise was the looming, snow capped Mt Baker in the background on several occasions. Seals were abundant and on one occasion we saw half a dozen sea lions sunning themselves on a nearby rock. Tod the mate was also the cook who trained for 2 years in a cooking school. The food was excellent and every effort was made--successfully--to meet the requests we had submitted prior to the cruise. We enthusiastically recommend this cruise company.

Pacific Shadow , a luxury yacht built in 1982, has been extensively retrofitted for today’s cruising needs. Professionally decorated and lovingly maintained, she is the perfect yacht for up to 4 couples, large groups or families to cruise in comfort in the PNW. She is built on a commercial deep-v hull with stabilizers and is extremely comfortable both at sea and at anchor. She has bright staterooms (with more hot showers than most homes!) and large, beautiful entertaining areas on both the main and top decks. On drizzly Northwest days, everyone in your group can find a covered, enclosed, quiet area to read, play cards or make cocktails. When the clouds part, there are plenty of areas to enjoy the warm sunshine or be in the shade while still enjoying the breeze.  Speaking of weather, zoned heating and air conditioning throughout the main and stateroom levels. Satellite TV on the fly bridge, in the salon and hidden in the Owners’ Stateroom mean never missing a game or breaking news. The cellular wifi on board works in most of the Gulf and San Juan Islands so you can stay connected with friends - sending updates on your dream vacation.

Boating in the Pacific Northwest

The San Juan Islands of Washington and Gulf Islands of British Columbia provide some of the most beautiful boating in the world.  The beautiful water, soaring mountains and abundant wildlife make this an area unparalleled for boat charter.  Fishing, crabbing, kayaking, biking, wine tasting, hiking - if you love to do it, it can probably be found in the waters and communities of these island paradises.  You can visit the islands by ferry, but in your own yacht, you will have a private oasis from which to experience this once in a lifetime vacation. 

If you are more adventurous, take her out for a couple of weeks or more and venture north to the Princess Louisa Inlet or the Queen Charlotte Islands of BC.  Or take the whole summer and head to Alaska!

The Details

Pacific Shadow is available for crewed charter.  Perfect for 4 couples or 2 -3 families, she sleeps 11 guest comfortably.  She has 5 staterooms (4 guest and 1 for the crew) all with ensuite heads (bathrooms for you landlubbers) and a day head (or powder room) on the main level.  

She also includes a 13' RIB dinghy with a chart plotter/fish finder, crab rings and fishing gear.  Back on board, there are two bars where you can drown your sorrows if you don't catch anything.  

Charter is handled through the Northwest's premier chartering company.  They can arrange everything from crew to food.

I have been about yachts for 50 years; yes, 50. I have been aboard 10 chartered yachts with captains and crew. I know expertise. You are beyond remarkable. We felt very safe and enjoyed seeing you “in action”. Then there was your hospitality. Charming. Quite charming. And, yes, we were sad to leave. All to say, we all had a marvelous time. Well, this is Day 5 for my week long adventure on the Jamal. Grandpa & Grandma will still be with all of you for a week after we leave. Trent & I, (newlyweds), have had the most spectacular time with all of you. Our crew, Captain Jen, Kathy (Kiki) & Sally Wally. You have made this trip a dream come true for us. We came here to relax before our big day, & we have definitely accomplished that. It was above & beyond anything we could have imagined! Alaska is beautiful & breath-taking, but not half as beautiful & breath-taking as you three ladies. The hospitality, amazing, the food, outstanding, the memories, forever! The generosity of our Captain, even though she was on a schedule, was perfect. She knew how badly I, (Allie), wanted to see whales. She found them & took the time out for us to enjoy them. I shall never forget her for that; I will never forget any of the crew. They will be forever in our hearts and I truly wish they could be at our wedding. Thank you so much for your kindnesses. Sensational sights of whales, glaciers, and bears have made this voyage on the Jamal the most fantastic way to see Alaska. Taking those narrow passages and hearing the thunderous crack of the glaciers remains for me the highlight of the trip. Thanks to you, Jennifer, we have seen as much of Alaska as possible in a short time. You took us to waterfalls, sea lions, warm & hot springs and superbly maneuvered the boat to sight whales. Travel in tandem with DK, Stacy and Megan proved to be fortuitous, with them some of our group went fishing and even saw bears in action. And, Jen, your crew of Sally, Sally Jo, and Cathy went out of their way at all times to make us extremely comfortable, well fed, and entertained. You have all enriched my life and I will miss you. Alaska will be here if we ever decide to return, but we would be lacking something if we didnt see you again.

Captain Jennifer Hanna, who also holds a U. S. Coast Guard Master’s license, has cruised the waters of Puget Sound to Alaska with her father, Jim, all of her life. Her precise navigational skills and exceptional knowledge of seamanship have been valuable assets on charters. She has recently spent a year sailing the Pacific coast to southern Mexico. Jennifer earned a Master’s of Education degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Western Washington University. She has taught elementary and middle school in the Bellingham area since 1988. Her love of the sea is reflected in her many interests which include fishing, swimming, water skiing, sailing, snorkeling and surfing. Jennifer is certified in scuba diving and First Aid.

Seattle Harbor Sailing Tour

Come aboard for a day sail on our classic schooner! Our Harbor Sailing tour is family-friendly and is an excellent way to see the Seattle skyline, the beauty of the Puget Sound, even mountain views! We will depart from our dock at Pier 66 Bell Harbor Marina, then set our sails for a 2-hour cruise in the Puget Sound.

Prices start at $45 for adults / $35 for youth. Infants always sail for free!

Evening Colors Sunset Sail

An absolute “Seattle Must Do!” We will set the sails, turn off the engine, and relax as the cool sea breeze powers us through the Puget Sound. Enjoy a drink as the sun dips down behind the Olympic Peninsula and bathes the Seattle skyline in sparkling twilight colors. This 2 hour cruise is perfect for special occasions and dates.

Prices start at $65 for adults / $55 for youth. Infants always sail for free!

Sailing Sunday Brunch Buffet

Start your Sunday off right with a morning adventure aboard Seattle’s Tall Ship as we set sail and enjoy a delicious brunch buffet. Indulge in the perfect combination of relaxation, breathtaking views, and the included mouthwatering buffet prepared by Arista Catering .

Prices start at $89 for adults / $69 for youth. Infants always sail for free!

Private Charters

Set sail with the morning light and enjoy the sun sparkling on the waters of Elliott Bay, or join us at dusk and watch the city lights begin to twinkle as the sun sets over the Olympic Peninsula. Our private charters are perfect for weddings, corporate events, private parties or any other occasion. Open bar and catering packages available as well. Meet the Bay Lady

Our pride and joy, the Bay Lady is an 85 foot traditional gaff-rigged schooner that can accommodate up to 87 passengers per tour. She is a family friendly ship, equipped with two onboard bathrooms, an onboard drink and snack bar, plenty of outdoor seating, and a cannon to salute our magnificent city!

Sailing onboard this graceful, twin-masted ship evokes the romance of a bygone age. The harmony of a massive ship under sail and wind power is a truly unforgettable experience. The Pacific Northwest is a region in western North America bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the west and, loosely, by the Rocky Mountains on the east. Though no universally agreed upon boundary exists, a common conception includes the U.S. states of Oregon, Washington, and the Canadian province of British Columbia. Broader conceptions reach north into Alaska and Yukon, south into the coastal and mountainous regions of Northern California, and east into Idaho and western Montana, and western Wyoming to the Continental Divide. Narrower conceptions may be limited to the Northwestern U.S. or to the coastal areas west of the Cascade and Coast mountains.  The Northwest Coast is the coastal regions of the Pacific Northwest and the Northwest Plateau (also commonly known as "The Interior" in British Columbia and the Inland Empire in the United States) is the inland regions. A yacht charter vacation in this region usually includes the areas surrounding the Puget Sound, the second largest estuary in the USA with over 2300 miles of coastline and the San Juan Islands. 

Starting at South Lake Union in the heart of Seattle, charters usually cruise Lake Union and through the Montlake Cut, while bridges open for our tall masts. Then sail wherever the winds take you on Lake Washington until returning to Seattle's skyline framed by snow covered mountains.

Montlake Cut:  The Montlake Cut is the easternmost section of the Lake Washington Ship Canal, which passes through the city of Seattle, linking Lake Washington to Puget Sound. It is approximately 2,500 feet (760 m) long and 350 feet (110 m) wide. The center channel is 100 feet (30 m) wide and 30 feet (9.1 m) deep. The path along the cut was designated a National Recreation Trail as Montlake Cut National Waterside in 1971.[1]

The Cut provides a connection between Union Bay, part of Lake Washington, to the east and Portage Bay, an arm of Lake Union, to the west. It is spanned by the Montlake Bridge, a bascule drawbridge carrying Montlake Boulevard (State Route 513). Most of the land on the north shore of the Cut is occupied by the University of Washington, its medical school to the west and its stadium parking lot to the east; residences and a recreational trail occupy the south bank, which is part of the Montlake neighborhood. It is the site of the annual Windermere Cup crew regatta and the Seattle Yacht Club's Opening Day Boat Parade, both of which take place on the first Saturday in May. Puget Sound Boat Rental:  The Puget Sound region is home to the majority of Washington State citizens who live in the bustling cities and suburbs that extend north to south from Stanwood to Olympia. Most Puget Sound communities lie on either side of the north-south Interstate 5 corridor that serves as the major traffic thoroughfare of the state.

Puget Sound itself is a body of water lying east of Admiralty Inlet, through which ocean waters reach inland some 50 miles from the Pacific Coast to provide all-weather ports for ocean-going ships at Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia. The waterway is a complex and intricate system of channels, inlets, estuaries, embayments and islands.

Ballard Locks:   Tourists and locals enjoy watching the parade of yachts, sailboats, motorboats, barges and tugs passing through as the locks' water levels are adjusted to allow for safe passage between the salt water and the fresh water of the ship canal. Tillicum Village:  Tillicum Village is a Puget Sound area visitor attraction located on Blake Island just off the shore of Seattle, WA. It is believed that this attraction dates to the time period immediately preceding the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. Madison Park:  Madison Park is a neighborhood in east central Seattle, Washington, USA, named after the city park at the foot of E. Madison Street on the Lake Washington shore Estates on Mercer Island:  Mercer Island Estates is the largest South End neighborhood located just south of the QFC shopping center and Mercer Island Country Club. This planned community was built in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and includes homes in a variety of styles, including mid-century modern, traditional, and Northwest contemporary. With wide streets and plenty of cul-de-sacs, this neighborhood is popular with families, who also enjoy Wildwood Park and its proximity to the nearby South End shopping center.

Fremont Cut:  The Fremont Cut is a body of water that forms part of the Lake Washington Ship Canal, which passes through the U.S. city of Seattle and links Lake Washington to Puget Sound. The Fremont Cut connects Lake Union to the east with Salmon Bay to the west. It is 5,800 feet (1,800 m) long and 270 feet (82 m) wide. The center channel is 100 feet (30 m) wide and 30 feet (9.1 m) deep.

The Fremont Cut is spanned by the Fremont Bridge, a bascule drawbridge that connects the neighborhoods of Fremont and Queen Anne via Fremont Avenue North. A campus of Adobe Systems and the headquarters for Tableau Software are located at the north-eastern quadrant of this intersection of bridge and canal, and an office of Google is located on the north-western quadrant. Meydenbauer Bay in Bellevue:  The Bellevue Marina lies between the foot of 99th Avenue Northeast and 100th Avenue Southeast on the south side of downtown Bellevue. Depending upon the pier, the marina may be accessed from either street. From Interstate 405, take the NE 8th Street exit west. Turn left on Bellevue Way Southeast. Turn right on Main Street and proceed until reaching either the 100th Avenue Southeast or 99th Avenue Northeast intersections (Please note that Main Street turns into Lake Washington Boulevard Northeast at the 100th Avenue Southeast intersection.) Estate with Full T-Rex skeleton inside: Nathan Myhrvold became fascinated with dinosaurs and visited the filming of the “Jurassic Park” sequel in 1996 and met the film’s consultant and world-leading paleontologist, Jack Horner. Horner convinced Nathan to use some of his Microsoft multimillions to fund a dinosaur bone digging foundation. His foundation has recovered more tyrannosaurus rex skeletons than the total previously found by everyone else. He has given most of them to museums including the Smithsonian. In-side the big rounded windows of his living room he has one of the t-rex skeletons he helped dig up.

Bill Gates House: Originally purchasing the lakefront property for $2 million in 1988, Gates has done everything in his power to ensure his dream home doesn't have a negative impact on the environment. Built into a hill as part of its earth-sheltered design, Gates was concerned about potential runoff from the walls of the massive estate. To combat the problem, he collaborated with the two architectural firms who designed the home to create an artificial stream on the property to catch the runoff. And, in true Gates fashion, he took the design up a notch and has the stream stocked with salmon and trout giving even the wildlife a fisheye view of the most expensive home in America.

Fisherman's Terminal –  Fishermen's Terminal is a dock for Seattle, Washington's commercial fishing fleet, on Salmon Bay in the Interbay neighborhood, east of the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks and immediately west of the Ballard Bridge.

Hunts Point & City of Kirkland:   Incorporated in 1955, the Town of Hunts Point is located on the eastern shore of Lake Washington just north of the SR520 bridge. Once a camping ground for the Sammamish Indian tribe, this residential community of single-family residences is home to just under 500 residents. Hunts Point is one of the smallest municipalities in Western Washington, yet its bucolic feel and proximity to Seattle and the Eastside help make it a highly desirable place to live. Our Vessel Na'walak

Na'walak is a kwakwak'wakw word that means “spirit of nature”. She is a comfortable 55-foot pilothouse ketch, comprehensively upgraded using the latest systems with comfort and safety in mind. She is very stable and stoutly overbuilt of fiberglass and made to offshore standards. The interior incorporates four private staterooms with berthing for six passengers and three crew. The forward stateroom is a V-berth with two single berths, which can be converted into a double. The starboard aft stateroom has a double berth, and the port aft stateroom is a single berth. There are also two mid-ship cabins each with two single bunk berths, one of which is our crew quarters. There are two heads, each with showers. The galley holds a large refrigerator/freezer, and large 4 burner stove and oven. Also, we can barbecue the catch of the day on deck when the opportunity arises! The entire boat is insulated and fitted with radiant and forced air heat for the occasional chilly morning.

JUST AFT OF THE GALLEY is the bright and roomy pilothouse/salon with comfortable seating for eight. Whether gathering for a sumptuous meal, taking a turn at the helm, or ducking in from a rain shower, the pilothouse is a great place to stay out of the weather while enjoying the wraparound view. This special feature enables us to voyage comfortably in the beautifully serene off-season while staying warm and dry.

When you prefer to be on the deck you will find several cozy places to relax. You can find your spot in the sun on the foredeck or sit comfortably in our spacious cockpit, or lounge on the aft deck.

IN KEEPING WITH Emerald Isle’s philosophy of treading as lightly as possible in these delicate environments, we have forgone a noisy diesel generator, and installed a high-output wind and solar charging system, supplying the ship with ample power for your convenience. Our dinghy is charged by this same system and propelled by a silent electric motor.

WE’RE EQUIPPED with a great sailing system. Roller furling and self-tailing winches make the Na’walak easy to sail. If you want to take a turn at the helm, we have a wheel in the cockpit as well as in the pilot house.

TO HELP YOU REST EASILY we want you to know that we care about your safety. We meet or exceed all U.S. Coast Guard safety requirements. In case we need emergency communications, we have a VHF radio as well as a cellular phone.

USCG Captain Greg Sellentin

“My goal is to share with every guest my experience, passion, and gratitude for living and sailing in one of the most important and beautiful marine environments in the world.”

Growing up surrounded by water, Greg spent most of his life in, on, and around the sea. Windsurfers and Hobie catamarans were his watercraft of choice way back then.

After a short career in advertising photography in New York, he ditched the city life. Relatively unscathed and none the worse for urban wear and tear, he moved to Alaska and re-connected with nature, wilderness and a life of adventure. He spent his years as a publisher for a print and online adventure publication and sled dog tour guide, as well as expeditioning/winter camping in the interior.

Feeling the magnetic pull back to the water, he eventually led sea kayaking, rafting, sailing, photography and bear viewing tours in Southeast Alaska, Prince William Sound, and Kachemak Bay.

Wanting to spend more time on water unfrozen, he migrated south to the San Juan Islands and has spent the last 10 years solo sailing and exploring the flora and fauna of the Salish Sea, the Great Bear Rainforest, and Haida Gwaii islands.

What kinds of wildlife might i see.

The coastlines we sail are rich with life. Depending on the time of year, sea mammals you might see include Orca, Humpback and Minke Whales, Harbor Porpoise, Dahl’s Porpoise, White-sided Dolphins, Sea Otters, River Otters, Harbor Seals, and Sea Lions.

On land you have the opportunity to see Minks, Otters, Black-tailed Deer, Raccoons, and imported exotic wildlife. As we journey northward it becomes increasingly likely to find coastal Wolves, Mountain Goats, Black Bears, Grizzlies, and the White Kermode, or “Spirit” Bear.

There are too many feathered friends to list. The Bald Eagle is a daily visitor. Other favorites of ours include Oyster Catchers, Marbled Murrelettes, Scoters, and Great Blue Herons. For a truly world class natural experience the old-growth forests of northern B.C.’s Great Bear Rainforest house an especially rich and diverse community of creatures. Our unobtrusive electric powered dingy allows us the unique advantage of near silence while viewing and photographing wildlife.

What sort of clothes should I bring?

It’s best to be prepared for a temperature range of 55° to 80° F. When sailing, even on a warm summer day, the breeze experienced on deck when heading up wind can elicit the need for cozier clothing. The best dress for sailing is layers. For northern tours, close to the skin, wear a moisture wicking layer, then an insulative layer (fleece, wool...), and an outer wind/water resistant layer. Waterproof shoes or rubber boots are an advantage on deck and for getting to and exploring shorelines and estuaries. Shorts and a bathing suit are great for a summer swim or hot spring soak. For life below decks bring casual and comfortable clothing. Don’t forget your favorite pair of slippers! We’ll send you a detailed list of what to bring when you submit your reservation.

What is the weather like?

The San Juan and Gulf Islands are known for their sunny summer days. We receive about half the rain of Seattle due to the rainshadow of the Olympics and Vancouver Island mountain ranges. Temperatures range from 55°-80° F in the spring, summer, and fall, and average 40°-50° F in the winter months. The Great Bear Rainforest of northern B.C. produces more variable weather. It’s not called a rain forest for nothing! Temperatures are usually in the 60s throughout our sailing season there. You will likely encounter a mix of sunshine with occasional rain during your trip, but you will stay warm and dry in our roomy pilothouse.

What time of year should I sail with you?

It depends on what you are looking for. April and May display an incredible abundance of spring flowers. Some areas are particularly spectacular with color at this time. The sunniest and warmest months of the year are July, August, and September. This is the best time of year to see the Great Bear Rainforest. October through mid-June offers the best sailing wind and the most quiet privacy in anchorages. We have had incredible trips in January! With our heating systems and all-weather pilothouse this time of year can be a magically peaceful and comfortable experience.

What if I get seasick?

Nearly all of the waters we sail in are well protected. Most people who are concerned about seasickness are pleasantly surprised that its not an issue for them on our trips. However, some of our trips involve making brief passages that can occasionally get rough enough to elicit this unfortunate gastronomic state. We recommend you speak with your doctor or pharmacist regarding appropriate motion sickness medication. In our experience for mild queasiness, the acupressure wrist bands, ginger tea or crystallized ginger (which we have on board), and staying above decks can be of great help. The good news is that after we’ve finished a rough passage, the seasickness disappears!

Are children welcome on your charters?

Absolutely! We love having children on board. It can be a hugely educational experience for them. There are many activities to keep them occupied, and enough new and exiting experiences to keep them talking about their trip for a long time. We do, however, prefer that if your child is younger that 10 that the guest list is filled by your party alone.

What is a “crewed” charter?

It’s a cruise that includes a captain and crew/chef who take care of all shipboard duties including safe navigation, local knowledge of choice attractions, and meals and cleaning. You can do as much or as little as you like. We are at your service!

Do I need to be in good shape?

No. The level of activity varies depending on the trip. However, anyone who can get in and out of the dingy and go for short walks will do fine. We have had mobility-impaired guests having wonderful cruises with us without ever leaving the boat! There are many beautiful things to see right from the cabin and deck!

What do your trips include?

All onboard meals, including select wines with most dinners. On some trips you will cover one dinner ashore. Your heated cabin includes a bed made with sheets, pillows, comforters, and blankets. Towels, cloths, shampoo, and soap are also complimentary. You are welcome to use the inflatable, kayak, and all fishing, crabbing, and shrimping gear. If you prefer to overnight at a place with moorage fees, you are responsible for them, as well as any fishing licenses, and most off boat tours.

How often do we get off the boat?

Rainforest we typically take the dinghy up a pristine river and go for a short walk, or explore a remote beach, or abandoned native village. In the San Juans and Gulf Islands many forest trails, beaches, and country roads await the happy wanderer.

What can I expect to learn?

Opportunities for education abound. Your skipper is a trained naturalist, and enjoys pointing out a special plant, and its traditional uses, or identifying an animal and explaining its habits. Local history and native culture are other subjects you'll learn about. The captain also enjoys teaching sailing to anyone interested. Our trips in the Great Bear and the Inside Passage incorporate Native guides who will lead you through abandoned village sites, and enthrall with tales of battles, ancient customs, and the history of the once mighty Kwakwak’wakw. Or take part in a traditional open fire salmon bake and learn of the rich past of the Heiltsuk. The boat makes a great platform for seminars and workshops. We also offer instructor-led cruises in subjects such as meditation, photography, and whale observation. Please see charter options. What areas do you charter in?

Our scheduled tours focus in the San Juans April through July, with one trip up the Inside Passage/Southern Great Bear Rainforest in early August, mid August to mid September in the Northern Great Bear Rainforest of the northern B.C. coast, and one trip down the Inside Passage/Southern Great Bear Rainforest in mid September. Please see our schedule. Any time you don’t see a scheduled trip booked the boat is open and available, so don’t hesitate to inquire.

What if I'm a solo traveler who prefers my own stateroom?

All of our rooms are double occupancy (View ship schematic), and allow for a maximum of six guests. If you prefer a private stateroom we will try to accommodate you. There will be an additional 50% fee if the tour is otherwise full.

Can you take more than six passengers?

By Coast Guard regulation, we can take up to six guests. On our instructional cruises, and with workshops and seminars, we can bring an instructor in addition to the six guests.

Do I need to know how to sail?

No. The captain and crew are perfectly capable of taking care of all sailing. However, you are welcome to participate at any time for your own enjoyment. The captain is a lifetime sailor, and would love to help you with your sailing skills. By the end of the trip you may just be ready for the America’s Cup!

Seattle needs a fun place to party. A place where people can gather in an intimate atmosphere and let loose their inhibitions without a worry of what the neighbors might think. The stringent rules imposed on the big sight-seeing tour boats often smothers the mildest notions of letting people do something "wild and crazy". (Try jumping off the top deck of one of those stodgy tour boats naked and see where that gets you.) We are here to help you and your friends have a good time - within the law of course. But we don't get all formal about where you must sit, where you can't go and what you can't touch. Our captain and crew doesn't dress like penguins either. They will even where what ever costumes you bring for them! You think we're kidding! Our captain Jerry Adams, has spent many years at sea. With his experiences in dealing with the roughneck crews fishing the waters seen in Alaska's Deadliest Catch, he is a tolerant and even-keeled skipper who knows how to have a good time. Do this for your next party! We had 20 people and it was plenty of space for dancing on the roof or deck. There are legal limits on capacity so make sure your head count is correct. Swimming, cruising, was amazing! Captain Jerry will make sure you have fun, and keep you safe Great times :)

Lots of room inside the galley to serve food, great party sized Bluetooth speaker, plenty of room for up to 26 guests on the front, back, and upper deck of the boat. Most ideal would be on a hot day warm enough to drop anchor and swim, but had a fun time even on a chillier evening. Not the fanciest boat, but has everything you need and ample space for a fun time! Seems pricey, although you get plenty of time on the water and is competitive with similar market options. Best value if you get all 26 spots filled. Company could improve text/or email communications in advance of event. Captain is kind and communicative.

This was one of the greatest birthdays I've ever thrown in my entire life!! Do not walk, but RUN to book this boat. It's not your boujee super expensive boat, and it's definitely seen it's fair share of parties so don't expect it to be some immaculate boat but it is a very fair price!! But in my opinion it made it better because there were no major rules except basic safety and common sense of course! Just know you can have 26 ppl total and it's max 10 on the top deck so the group may be separated for some times of the night. We did the evening cruise from 6-11pm and it was soo beautiful! Passed Gas Works and the beautiful Skyline and parked it farther so we could bump the music and party! Captain Jerry and his daughter gave me and my friends the space and privacy to party, dance, jump off the boat, swim, and just turn up! If you're not uptight and not afraid to get a little down and dirty then this is the boat for you! Im seriously considering making it a yearly thing and all my friends agree fursure. Thank you captain Jerry!!

This is our 3rd Year and definitely not our last to go on the Fun Boat!! The Captain and Crew are so much fun and they really take the time and effort to make sure everything goes smoothly. We max the boat each year and we still have room to move around, dance, and have a great time!! See you all next year!!

Huge thanks to Captain Rick and BJ for making my 23rd birthday bash a huge success!!! We had a group of about 15 friends come on board the boat and it was a non stop party from start to finish. The crew was super accommodating and a blast to have join in on the festivities! The boat was very clean, a great size (wrap around balcony and top tier deck to lay out, hang out and have an awesome view) and the rental process was super easy! We cruised around Lake Union & Lake Washington stopping at different points to dip in the water and grill. The crew was so sweet to even let us stay on and cruise for another hour! It was the perfect way to celebrate with good friends, they can't stop raving about how much of a great time it was. The best party boat rental hands down! Definitely recommend Seattle Fun Boat to anyone looking for a great time, reasonable pricing and awesome customer service. You won't be disappointed. Thanks again Captain Rick & BJ, y'all were the most lit crew ever!

If you are looking for the party of your life, then stop what you are doing immediately and book a trip with Seattle Fun Boat! We rented the boat for a going away party (23 people) and it couldn't have been better! They let us bring our own food and drink on board, swim in Lake Washington, and have an amazing party. Captain Cameron and the deckhand were awesome! Super helpful, hung out with the group, and got us back safely. For the price, you won't find a better boat!

My group of about 20 vaccinated friends and I were the first group of the season for the fun boat and it was an absolute blast. Captain Jerry and his daughter were a great crew and were very kind. Everyone had such a great time and I would absolutely rent again!

Such an easy process to book this last minute boat trip with 27 of my friends for the July 4th weekend. I called, spoke to who I believe was Jerry's wife and reserved the date with a $200 deposit. The final balance was due day of. We had so much fun!!! We were allowed to dress up the captain in literally anything we wanted. We could bring our own booze and food!!! At night we had an epic dance party inside and during the day we were all chilling around the hot tub. Some of us even jumped from the top of the boat into the water. I have so many photos and memories. This is something everyone enjoyed and I would do once a year for sure!!!!
