the rooms are very nice a spa you'd and clean . however after pre paying in full for my reservation when i arrived they said "you have to pay the cleaning fee - expedia should have told you " number one i didn't use expedia and number two - you can't come back after a customer who paid in full and say "oops" i want some more money also the place is EXTREMELY noisy with traffic noise and the linens were the garbage "microfiber " plastic sheets so hot and uncomfortable

This place was amazing! We stayed on one of their house boats for a week and it was a great experience. SUPER clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and close by to the beach, grocery stores, bars, restaurants etc. We're definitely coming back again and bringing friends. At first glance from online research we were a little skeptical, but in the end it was a great decision. Price was more than reasonable. You get a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, a loft, AND a patio right on the water. It's unbelievable we were technically on a boat. It was definitely more hotel-ish than a boat. Keith was the property manager that assisted us and we couldn't be more grateful for this whole experience. Thanks Keith!! See you again.

Fair warning: there is NO public entrance or dinghy dock here to get to Publix!! This was a last minute find for us during a search for a safe place from gusty winds. A "diamond in the rough" if you will because we didn't see it on any of the normal searches for marinas, all of which were full. It's not like your average marina where you can book online or hail the dock master on the radio. You need to call in advance and talk to Alan about your needs. We were able to get a pretty good deal for 7 days and also a month so we just opted for the month. Be aware that there is a 50' minimum of $3/ft (at least at the end of 2020 this was the case) and so we were forced to pay that even though we are only 38' long. Not many amenities at the marina itself, and I'm not sure why someone added a photo of a pool because there isn't one. There is ok WiFi, they have water and electric, trash dumpster, as well as pump out service. A diesel truck also comes to the marina to fill boats up so that's really nice. It was fairly empty when we were there, only about 25% capacity even over New Years. The slips are at a bit of an odd angle so it can make docking interesting. Nice new Trex decking and great landscaping makes it look beautiful here. Big parking lot for vehicles or even RVs as well. Pros include the numerous manatees that hang out here, being right across the street from Publix/Walgreens, taxi will pick you up in the parking lot and take you to the laundromat ($6 ride). Restaurants and Crane Point Museum, Nature Center and Historic Site within walking distance. Sombrero Beach is a short dinghy ride down Sisters Creek. Cons include being right across the street from Publix/Walgreens. It's a very busy and loud part of town. Airplanes fly right over the canal so if you are looking for a quiet neighborhood, this is not it. Thankfully the marina itself wasn't too busy or loud and all the dock neighbors were friendly and helpful! We would stay here again.

Yacht Haven Marina is located on the ocean-side of the Florida Keys island of Marathon, the center of the Middle Keys. Marine recreation in the pristine middle keys waters provides stabilized and dependable cash flows for area marinas and the tourism industry all year ‘round.

Marathon is the commercial hub for the FL keys. The marina itself is with minutes walking or driving to Publix Super Market, West Marine, Walgreens, Home Depot, as well as many fine hotels, restaurant and tourist attractions. The marina is also minutes away from Sombrero Beach, one of the most pristine, hidden beaches in the FL Keys. Sombrero Beach boasts clean, recently renovated facilities.

The Marathon area is definitely a destination point and has hundreds of small and medium size businesses to support it. This self-contained island provides everything one needs, including shopping and services, police and fire, healthcare facilities including a modern full service hospital, as well as all the usual municipal functions.

Marathon is centrally located 80 miles south of mainland Florida and just 50 miles from Key Largo and 48 from Key West. Marathon is serviced by bus lines to Key West and the Mainland, and by the Marathon airport offering connections to Miami and Ft Lauderdale.

The Castaway was originally built in 1951 and known for many years as a place to get beer and shrimp steamed in beer.  After all, in 1951 there were many shrimp boats parked a stones throw from the restaurant and if you never met a shrimper, the you probably don’t know it but them boys can drink some beer.

In 1999 John sailed into Marathon, Florida ending a voyage that began in Los Angeles. He bought the restaurant and began a new adventure, oh yeah, he also quit his job, sailed the boat and moved to the fabulous Florida Keys.

Now decades later The Castaway is busy again but with an expanded menu featuring all the S’s. Seafood, Steaks, Sushi, and of course Spirits and as of today now serving 32 BEERS ON TAP.  Seating is indoor and outdoor on the water and service includes breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week.

If you are hungry, or thirsty or want to talk to a Captain about fishing, stop in and see us.  We are located at MM48, at the end of 15th St, Oceanside in Marathon.  Reservations are always accepted.

Lunch mon through fri 11 am – 4 pm, happy hour 1pm – 4 pm, sushi 12pm-10pm, dinner 4pm-10pm, we risk everything to bring you fresh fish.
